I just bought my first Car at sheehy VW Springfield VA and I got a great deal from Mohamud Ali. He was very kind and very helpful throughout the process.

Our sales person Charles King reached out to me because of a internet inquiry I requested information about. A few days later I met him at the dealership with my wife. We test drove car, then started to negotiations about price of vehicle we were interested in. After going to his general manager a couple of times to negotiate the price we were looking for, the general manager came back with Charles to speak to us instead of having Charles go back and forth. The general manager started taking to us about all these numbers about his cost and other numbers that we had no idea what he was taking about and basically said he couldn't go lower than what they were offering. My wife and I were kinda surprised the way the general manger was talking to us. He was very condescending towards us. My wife and I decided to leave because the way he was to us. Charles King was very patient and tried his best to keep us there that day but we were set on the price and the general manager said the couldn't go any lower and that they were already losing money on the deal. I received a discount through my work which was $500 and $445 since I am a current Sheehy VIP member. As we were leaving I told Charles to give me a call if the price would go down to what we were asking for and the general manager interrupted and said, " don't worry we won't call you and good luck on finding a car lower than us." I recommend Charles King because he was very patient with us and persistent and tried his best in getting close to our price point.

Jonathan Hoang was an awesome salesman. He helped us pick the best fit for us.

David Perez at this dealership made buying a car smooth. He answered every question I had about the different vehicles and any other question I had. He made the process quick and was not pushy at all. The whole time I was there I did not feel like I had to do anything at all, he didn't make me feel any pressure. I've been very impressed with Sheehy Volkswagen's service department - they get the job done right the first time most of the time. And when they don't, they are very responsive and have made it right to my satisfaction. I recently bought a new VW from Sheehy and the experience was painless. My wife and I were very specific about what we wanted and they found a car meeting our exact requirements for a fair price. You can't do much better than that.

I called the dealership to get more information and was fortunate to be transferred to Javan Jackson. He was very professional and forthcoming with information. Horrible. Went with friend looking to purchase a new vehicle. Walked around the show room and lot for over 30 mins and never saw a sales person. I would avoid at all cost if they are that lazy to sell a car why would you let them earn your business.

What a wonderful experience I had here, Ron Sowell was able to save me from Lindsay Volkswagen. While they were playing games with me Ron was straight up, came out the gate with a great price that other dealerships were very far away from and after that I didn't look back. He was very nice even though I was alittle flustered buying my first car, anyone I needknow whos a Volkswagen will be his way.

Purchase: Emailed back and forth with the Sales Lady, Trisha. Gave her details on a vehicle I was looking to trade and gave her all terms upfront. She invited me to the dealership and directed me to someone else to "assist" in the process. I ended up leaving with an offer at least $2,000 less than what was originally discussed with Trisha despite having given all information up-front.

Definitely don't appreciate the "switch-up" at the last minute, the lack of integrity and transparency in doing business. So unfortunate, my sales guy Ron was nice and I was prepared to purchase the today! Oh well...taking my business back to Honda:--)

Service: I DREAD coming here for any type of service. It takes forever. Took 3 hours to do an oil change. Yes, a simple oil change. It's gotten so bad that I'm reconsidering the make of my vehicle just so I don't have to deal with any VW dealership locations. Yes, I know they have their issues all over but basic customer service is lacking here and so is the perception that they give any concerns about your time or money!

I called the dealer on Saturday and explained the problem I was having with my vehicle. I was told that my clock spring needed to be fixed and that I could bring my vehicle in that Monday morning at 9am. I was also informed that it would take about 2hrs to repair. I arrived Monday morning and had to wait 3.5 hours all for them to tell me that they didn't have the parts to service my vehicle. Absolutely nothing got done to my vehicle. I took off from work just so that I can get my vehicle worked on and it was all a waste of time. I will no longer bring my vehicle to this location.

This place and the representative that helped me get five stars only because giving them 15 isn t an option. Aras was incredibly helpful and demonstrated a sincere desire and ability to work to get me the best car possible while staying within my budget. I even showed up without an appointment, and was immediately greeted (by Aras) and was given the best attention and service I ve received anywhere, hands down. I walked out of the building a very happy car owner. They ve basically earned a customer for life, here.

I'm a big fan of sheehy vw and Mohamud Ali. Purchased my last 2 cars from Mohamud Ali at sheehy vw and it's been a great deal/experience each time, was especially great to work with Mo Mo.

Drove down from Delaware to purchase a Jetta Sportwagen TDI and am leaving completely happy! Riadh was a fantastic salesman who made the buying process super painless. I am only shopping here from now on.

I had been researching places to purchase a used car in the area for months. I came across the perfect car for me and visited Sheehy VW Springfield in hopes of buying it. From start to finish, I had a very positive experience. At first I spoke with the GM (who I happened to run into-super nice and helpful), and he introduced me to Kash- who was very understanding of my needs and patiently helped to lead me in the right direction. The used car manager, Sid, also provided me with some useful guidance and was super friendly and welcoming (this is not typical of other used car managers I have dealt with, so it was very refreshing to have a positive experience with this person!). Overall, every person I met with, from the used inventory manager (Samim) to the gentleman who helped me with details and the knowledgable woman in finance was warm, helpful, patient, and helped me in buying a car I love! First, and foremost, big kudos to Jonathan R for going above and beyond to get me to drive off in a new car. I really appreciate openness, and ability to provide me with meaningful financing details, so that I could compare the out-the-door numbers between dealerships. The whole process was really smooth and it was one of the best experiences I had with the dealerships lately.

Jonathan from Sheehy was an amazing sales consultant. I was promptly shown the GLI I was searching for and had a very professional sales experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.

I loved the service we got when we got our VW. However, the first warm day in traffic I went to use the ac and it was not working. So we took it in and turns out it wasn t charged. Typically that would be something you'd check, right?
Simple to resolve, just charge it. Well, they didn t have the machine to charge it, so they need to order it. WHY would you not have it!? So TWO weeks later and we are told they got it in this morning and they can get us in Thursday. What? Why 2 days later when we first came in 2 weeks ago???Tomorrow it will be 88 degrees. This is so beyond ridiculous. Not a good start.

Update: one week later and our car is still at Sheehy. Once they got it in to charge, they ran out of Freon. And each day we call they say it will be in tomorrow . I m not hopeful....

I purchased my Golf from Paul at Sheehy. He did not make me feel like I had to buy the first day I went in, so I went back. Excellent staff and nice dealership.

Aras was great! I called him and told him I wanted a car I found on Carfax, but that I had to ride up to Richmond with my kids and back down again--hopefully with a new car. He prepped the car and had the paperwork ready to save us time required to close the sale. This spared me having to deal with my two ring kids in the dealership longer than necessary.

Sorry to Paul who did a great job - however due to my experience with their back office team I would strongly dissuade anyone from buying a used car from them that is out of state. Here is why:

Sheehy sold me a car with tints and did not realize it, then Desiree in the back office did not own the issue and instead put the issue on me AND made the mistake of mailing my title to Virginia s DMV when I do not live in Virginia. Here is the result of these actions - I have had to:
1) drive to the DMV to get an inspection. The car failed due to tints I did not know the car had.
2) went to eye doctor and paid to see them and found out I needed a form from Delaware DMV for a medical waiver to allow for the tints
3) went to DMV to get the form
4) went back to eye doctor, I do have sensitive eyes (luckily) so I did get the waiver

At this point Sheehy said it had been several weeks and as a result this was now my issue not theirs ... despite them selling a car without tints not disclosing or realizing this and this clearly not being my problem. Next:

5) went to DMV with all forms Sheehy sent me in their sorry not my problem letter - which did not include the bill of sale and title so DMV sent me home.

6) I requested and received Bill of Sale From Sheehy but they had already sent title to VIRGINIA DMV as the financing that Sheehy set up with Bank of America required this. At this point I was on my third set of temp tags and Sheehy would not give me any more so I went to the Delaware DMV to attempt to register the car, I could not without the title so I had to pay for new temp tags.

7) asked Bank of America for the title - had to pay to fax them some forms for this. Two weeks later I received a letter without the Title saying they were asking for the title from VA but didn t have it, with a copy of the lien and paperwork for the Delaware DMV staying heir letter should suffice.

8) this is where I am today. I went to DMV the paperwork did not suffice. Bought another temporary tag (number 5 total). Received an official form from Delaware DMV who cannot register the vehicle without the original title. Called Bank of America who required an official letter from Delaware saying hey need the original. Went back to the DMV got an official letter and sent it to the bank. Bank cannot confirm they have received it so I ha e to wait a couple business days. After they get it he bank has to get with VIRGINIA MDV to get the original Title, then send it to Delaware.

I expect this will go on for 6-8 more weeks.

Morale of the story: good sales person. Bad back office support and didn t own this issue. I understand this is t a normal situation but it should have been escalated to management and owned by Sheehy not me. 1 star as I ve wasted approximately 30 - 40 hours on this.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I just bought a used car from Sheehy VW - I have to say Paul Wicker was one of the most straightforward, honest car salesmen I've ever worked with. He is earlier in his career but he gets what matters - giving great answers to questions, being prompt and responsive, and most important - being honest and transparent. Sheehy obviously treats their people with respect and has morals as a company vs. their competitors - or at least Paul certainly made me feel that way. If you're looking to buy a car at Sheehy VW (or in general) ask for Paul by name.

I just bought my second car from Riyadh. Once again he was very friendly and helpful. He even taught us how to tell if a car had been repainted and pointed out potential issues. I definitely had the impression that he wanted me to find the best car for me.

Never had more trouble in my life giving my money to a car dealership. I had a car that I was ready to purchase but the dealership was extremely small minded and refused my business. I'm a veteran returning from the middle east. My parents have power of attorney and I was using them to sign my documents for me as I need a vehicle immediately upon my return. The dealership saw this as a headache and preferred an easier sell and decided to refuse my business. I was dealing with Vick the used cars manager and I believe he is extremely lazy and lied to me on a couple fronts. I would avoid the dealership at all costs based upon there lack of care or effort they put in for their customers.

I had a great experience at Sheehy VW Springfield. The sales person (Mohamud Ali) was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Mohamud Ali at Sheehy VW Springfield, a Great sale person and I be back my next car and will send him family and friends.

I would give them a minus review if I could. I have an old 2002 VW Beetle that had a faulty airbag light that wouldn't go off. Had it checked by my regular mechanic who connected his computer to my car and said it was a faulty a driver's side seatbelt buckle that was the issue. He said that since this was a manufacturing defect, i should take it to a Volkswagen dealership and they would probably fix it for free.

Took it in to Sheehy in Springfield after reading positive reviews on Google. They claimed they could not connect their computer to the console and could not get a reading. Their solution was that the whole console needed changing - $1300.00, plus they wrote out a whole laundry list of "suggested" work worth another 4-5K (all this without, in their words, being able to connect to my car for a diagnosis!) When I told the girl at the front desk that my other mechanic had diagnosed the problem in less than a couple of minutes, she claimed it was because he was using a non VW certified scanner. I don't even know what to say to that!!

They ended up charging me $125.00 diagnostic fee for NOT DIAGNOSING my car!

I took it back to the first mechanic who checked the issue again (successfully), changed the faulty seatbelt buckle and got rid of the offending light. I had to shell out another $240 for that, but at least it was money well spent and for actual work done. I can't believe how Sheehy can get away with this kind of underhanded and downright criminal behavior!
Will never go there again, for sure

This "was" a really great VW dealership ,i've been a proud owner of 2006 and 2012 vw which i serviced at this location,but like most goods things it usually come to an end, customer service has tanked over the years ,i'm glad to say that i'll never!!!, be returning to the place to do any kind of business,how unfortunate because it's time for a new car there lost.

David help me through the process of getting extended warranty. He simplified the contract and broke it down in black and white. Was in and out. Very professional and would recommend to all my peers.

I recently bought a 2014 Jetta and as a part of the deal I was to receive a full detail to redeem in the future. Today, June 18th at about 3 pm I went to redeem my full detail. I spoke with the customer relations manager who was very friendly and professional. She walked me over to the service department who would be responsible for the detail. I dropped the car off, took the shuttle over to Springfield Mall to go to the gym, which is about 1.5 miles away and was told to call when I was finished. Around 5 pm I called the service department and asked to be picked up. 30 minutes had passed and no shuttle, so I called back asked for an update, and was told there was traffic. 15 minutes later the shuttle picked me up. I do not believe it took 45 minutes to go 1.5 miles in traffic. The driver was very polite and friendly. I went to pick up my car and noticed that it was dirty. The car had only been wiped down with a cloth because I could see streaks and spots where they had missed and black dirty was still visible. They did not wax the car, but they did put able amounts of tire shine my tires. The interior was done fairly well, only a little bit of towel lint and streaks remained on my dash and windshield. The full detail did not meet my expectations and it was done poorly.

If the service department is going to cut corners on a simple detail, I do not want them working on my car.

Very nice dealership. Paul Wicker was great to work with. In the end, it was a win-win.

Their parts are very expensive. Just buy valve paid $190 Something. When I check online it is just $94 it is original WV parts. But can't return because they are charging %20 restocking. Check others before buying.

My first experience buying a car at this dealership was 2 years ago and I had such a pleasant experience I decided to buy from them again. I'm not easily impressed and I'm definitely not the easiest customer to deal with. I take my time exploring my options, I change my mind every other day and I like having the fine print explained to me in detail. That being said, it takes a special salesperson and dealership to gain my business and trust.

From the moment I walked into the dealership, Emmanuel Singletary took care and spent many hours/days helping me find the right vehicle, the right price and in the most professional manner. He was sincere, patient, knowledgeable, easy to reach and prompt in responding...But most importantly...Pesonable.

John Mercer the General Sales Manager doesn't hide in an office, he's on the floor helping the sales managers get the best deal and chatting with customers. It was truly a pleasure doing business with them.

Kelly in the finance dept offered excellent financing advice whether I took the deal or not. Everyone is top notch. I will continue doing business with them for years to come.

Worst Experience. Took $400 deposit from me for a vehicle and sold the vehicle to someone else. Javan Jackson the sales rep wont even answer my call and does not even have the minimum courtesy or the balls to tell me that he sold the vehicle after taking deposit from me.

Had an amazing experience buying my Jetta from Sheehy. Even though it s 4 hours away I ll return to buy my next one. I rode the train up there, they had someone waiting for me at the train station. Had the car I wanted ready for me and were so nice and transparent through the whole transaction. My mom is thinking about going to their Toyota dealership for her next car because I had such a wonderful experience, which says a lot because she s been buying from the same dealership for 20+ years.

A friend asked me to accompany him to look at, and hopefully, purchase, his first-ever new car. After not owning a car for many years, he thought someone with more experience would be helpful to bring along. So, we checked out Sheehy VW as he was interested in VWs and their inventory appeared larger than other local dealerships.

After meeting with salesman Charles, we test-drove a GTI SE and he explained various features of the GTI as well as the Jetta and Golf. We inquired about their processing fee and were given a whopping $799(!!) as the answer. We thanked Charles, went to lunch, and discussed.

My friend elected to go with a Golf, but in the loaded "Wolfsburg" trim instead of the lesser "S." Sheehy did not have any in stock, but Alexandria and Ourisman Laurel appeared to each have one. We called to verify, also asking about processing fees. Laurel was cheapest at $299.

Charles claimed they would reduce the processing fee to match Laurel. Seveal pricing breakdown sheets later, the fee was still never reduced. The cars we had found could perhaps be transferred, but at a fee of $300. $300 to transfer a car 30 miles? Get real. But, he also claimed the cars at both dealerships were spoken for "by TDI buyback customers." If that were true, wouldn't those cars not be listed for sale thanks to a deposit on that VIN?

I finally got tired of the runaround, especially after realizing Charles had wasted about an hour of our time discussing pricing when we didn't even have a VIN written down. He ended up trying to push my friend into a Jetta or GTI, when he clearly wanted a Golf Wolfsburg and several were available.

We walked out, called Laurel, and drove the 30 minutes north (at a cost of far less than $300) to purchase the gray Golf Wolfsburg that, in fact, was not "claimed" by anyone. We paid a reasonable processing fee and were given approximately 0% runaround, and he drove away for a few hundred below invoice pricing.

After the experience, I'll stay far away from any Sheehy-owned dealership and recommend all others do the same.

I cannot recommend Sheehy VW enough. I just purchased a new GTI from them and the entire experience was great! Zac, and all of the staff I dealt with, were very friendly and patient. I took my time deciding and everyone was very kind in answering all my questions. I never felt pressured and am so very happy with my final choice! I really felt like they get what customer service is all about.

Excellent experience. Came from NJ to pick up a Jetta from Sheehy VW. Had the pleasure of working with Riadh from the sales team. He gave me the out the door price days ahead and we got the paper work done all within 2 hours. He was professional, swift and knowledgeable of the entire process and got us a great deal on a great car. It's not easy to get this arrangement done across states, but he made it easy. Worst car buying experience imaginable. Bought my GTI from this dealership, and right off the bat it turned out to be a lemon. My salesman Jorge was absolutely no help during this. He frequently declined my calls and ignored my texts. Took me several weeks to finally get a response out of him. Avoid this dealership unless you enjoy terrible customer service.

My wife and I recently leased an Atlas from Sheehy VW and were assisted in the process by Fredy. He was awesome throughout the experience. I can t think of a single thing he could have done differently. I would not hesitate to buy my next Volkswagen from Sheehy and will absolutely ask for Fredy!

I recently bought a CPO Touareg from Sheehy. The team at Sheehy VW was excellent. My sales consultant, Jorge Perez was great. The CPO manager, Terry Hong was exceptional and the General Manager, Russ Zakeri was a true customer service professional. Their post-purchase customer service was as good as their pre-purchase service. I intend to purchase from Sheehy again and highly recommend you go see them if in the market for a car. Ask for Jorge.

I bought my 2017 Golf with Sheehy VW in early October. My experience working with Ron was a memorable one, as he was honest and professional from beginning to end. I had visited a few other locations before this one, but Sheehy was the only place that didn't play any games (there were many places that gave me a quote they couldn't follow up on). I was able to buy my car at a price I was very happy with and the process was quite painless and smooth-going. Ron was very personable, professional but friendly! I remember that when everything was finished, he sat in the passenger's seat and went through explaining all the functions of the car before I drove it home. He even set up the bluetooth with my phone, which I appreciated. When my license plates came in, Ron sent them to me promptly. Ron is clearly great at what he does, and I would be happy to return here to do business with him again in the future.

I emailed and visited almost every VW dealership in the MD/VA area and Sheehy gave me the best up front offer within a couple of days. David Perez was my email contact and he never tried to force me into visiting their dealership without having actual numbers to show. Once we had an agreement, I went to the dealership and worked with Jorge Perez on finances and it was a smooth process. The numbers we agreed on through email were the numbers on the contract I signed, no surprises tor any hidden fees. They also had the out of state temporary tags already prepared for me since I live in Maryland. If you're looking for a car, I would definitely recommend Sheehy!
