Need a new car? Well don't look to get a reliable one from VW at Sunrise.
I had a 2004 VW Passat for 15+ yrs before I decided it was time to get a new car, big body perhaps for my tiny self. VW treated me right in the past, so why not stick to what I know. Well, I learned my lesson rather quickly, how much things had changed. I went to Sunrise VW (this was my first mistake) and leased a 2019 Atlas SE. The salesperson sold me good; unbeknownst to me, I had signed a 3 year lease to a lemon. Not only was it a lemon, it also did not have any of the features that I requested. At that moment I found myself compromising all of my must haves in a car. I eventually learned from this mistake and figured; hey I'll get a new car in 3 years and won't make that mistake again. Almost a month into having the car it started giving me problems. Everytime I explained to them an issue, they claimed otherwise and had a service agent ask me what was I doing to make the car go forward when I had it in reverse. At this point I was utterly appalled and frustrated at the audacity of this service agent. Not to mention the safely of myself and my 12 year old daughter was put on the line because of this faulty lemon that Sunrise of VM sold to me. I only had the car for LESS THAN A MONTH!! Completely shocked at his response I had to excuse myself from the phone call. Another example, car shuts down when on auto start and stop. They told me not to use it, ah but it's a feature that l'm paying for, why the hell are you telling me not to use it?? Eff outta here. DON'T GO TO @SUNRISEVOLKSWAGEN!!! I was warned, I didn't listen and now I've learned my lesson.
FINALLY after many dealings with the dealership with bringing the car in for repairs, @Volkswagen cleared me for a replacement vehicle in late January. February 7th of this year, a specialist contacted me with details of my replacement. We are now in mid July and I still haven't received my replacement. Currently it is parked in my driveway, I don't drive it because of the SAFETY ISSUES. I keep hearing excuses from every one@Volkswagen without any resolutions.

At this point, I am ready for a full refund. DO NOT BUY FROM SUNRISE VW!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

I am beyond frustrated with the service or I should say lack of service I have received from Sunrise VW and VW Cares! In November 2018 (yes two years ago) I brought my car in for service. It was determined that I needed a part that was no longer in stock. I was required to prepay for the part. My car sat in the shop for 3 weeks until I asked for it back so I could have my car for the Holidays. I was told the part would be in by December 2018. December came and went and for months we waited. We never received a phone call. We would intermittently call to get status and were told it was still not available. I continued to drive my car, even brought it in for inspection the following year but still no clear answer on when the part would be available. It was not until this summer that I did some research and realized that it was actually unsafe for me to be driving my car. We checked in again and were told to contact VW Cares. Again for the next 4 months we got a run around. Mind you, my car sat in my driveway for the entire time and VW made no offer to give us a loaner car or rental and would not refund us for the part. At one point we were even told that the part was due to arrive on a certain date so we made an appointment only to show up and be told the part still was not in. Then we were told by VW Cares that the part was no longer being produced so they would contact us with next steps, but that same week Sunrise VW called and told us the part was finally in. We brought the car in to be repaired this past Friday and picked it up that evening. We were under the impression we had already paid for the labor when we first brought it in but were told they never charged us for labor and would not release the car without payment, so we paid and left. I drove my car home only to find that my car was still not fully repaired. Apparently I have found after more research these past few months that this is typical of VW and as much as I love my car, I will never purchase or recommend a VW to anyone!

I was driving my Passat on the highway going 60 mph, suddenly an other driver cut me off, to avoid his car i switched lane but the traffic was moving slow as i was approaching a constructing site. i hit a car in front of me which caused other 2 cars ahead to be involved in the accident. the damage was severe as the whole front of the car was crashed including the engine and the passenger was fatally injured, he had a shoulder dislocation. what surprised me are the airbags, they never deployed even though i was driving 60 mph. after few days volkswagen of America sent an engineer to inspect the car. After he left i noticed the seat belts are loose and the bottom cover is opened, it seems like he did it in purpose. before he came the seat belts were fine. what most surprised me is his decision that the airbags can't deployed in this case. I showed him the bottom of the car where is the chassis, it was bent from the direct impact of the forces that came through the bumper which also cause the front beam to twist, but never gave me a satisfied explanation. People who try to buy this car and have kids please be aware of this safety issue, my family was blessed to get out of this accident just with a shoulder dislocation, which could be worst.
My next step is lawsuit against VW.

My problems with Platinum VW began in December 201...

My problems with Platinum VW began in December 2016 when service kept the car for 7 weeks to say there is an issue with extended warranty.
I spoke to Moses. He said that there was nothing he could do for me. I told him it was not a good enough answer & I would like to speak to the owner. The owner (Josh Lever) said he is not interested in speaking to me. He told Moses what to tell me & wouldn't come out of his office.
When the lease was ready to get returned this year, Subaru paid the remainder of the lease to VW. My brother paid to repair all the little nicks and little dents to avoid fees. The dealership transferred the plates from the VW to the Subaru. We opted to pay for a tow from the body shop to the dealership for return. The vehicle was completed & returned to Platinum VW on 5/25/18.

On 6/25/18, I received a letter stating the vehicle wasn't returned.
The agent got back on the phone & says I m sorry. Unfortunately, you are not going to like what I have to say. She said that Platinum VW told her the car was dropped off on the street & has been sitting there with no plates and no keys. I said, Of course there are no plates. They were transferred to the new car. She advised I go there to sort this out so I don t get charged as the vehicle was due on 6/1.

Upon arriving at Platinum VW, I finally found the car in the back of the dealership on a residential road right on the corner of the entrance to their lot. All 4 doors were locked, but the trunk wasn t. The keys were in there. Both D/S and P/S of the vehicle were vandalized, as well as, left side of the rear bumper, the front bumper, right QP and windshield. As I walked up to the lot, two men approached us. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to, and one of the men responded how can we help? I pointed to the car and said, I need to speak to someone about this car. The guy told me that he is not interested in dealing with this and that the cops are already on their way because we are trespassing on their property. Little did I know that this man was Josh Lever. My tow truck driver started to explain where he was told to leave the vehicle and about the man who took the keys from him. This is when Josh went insane & was nasty. The blood rushed so far up my head I couldn t help but yell back. I was INFURIATED at the way he refused to offer assistance & the way he was speaking to me. I didn t even get to ask my question. Everything had to go through the police officers as Josh was not interested in getting this situation sorted.

They asked me what they could do for me. I said that I needed some sort of form stating that the car is being returned. I requested the video footage from the dealership. I was refused both the paperwork and the video footage.

They said I had to take the car out of there. I said I wanted a report stating everything that is happening because now I am going to have to lay out money to return this car again otherwise I will be charged from VW themselves. I was told that there is nothing they can write up for me as there is no act of crime here. I checked with the DMV to see if there were any tickets associated with the vehicle. They stated there were no tickets associated.

This was a deliberate act of vandalism in my opinion. All I see is poor business, poor customer service and poor customer relations. Everything got blown out of proportion instead of helping a long time customer.

I was refused assistance. I was stuck with not knowing what to do with the car because VW of NA told me that I have to get a lawyer. I said I hadn t retained a lawyer & I would prefer not to pursue that if I don t have to. I said I wanted them to tell me what to do to get it out of my hair. No one was able to help me after hours of being on the phone. No attorney wants to take on this case because either way I will be losing money.
I repaired the car and will be returning it to another dealership. With that being said, I will never be getting a VW again due to this terrible experience with both the dealership & corporate management.

I wish I could give zero stars. New TDI warranty is just a false document that give Owner s a cozy feeling but isn t honored by VW. Customer advocates just create lies in order to circumvent the warranty that was ordered. My TDI engine is now knocking very loud after receiving the emissions modification. I was told my engines flywheel is bad. Then I was lied to and told my flywheel is part of my transmission and therefore not covered by the new extended warranty. They continue to divert away from answering questions and refuse to help. See attached pictures.

Horrible people. I bought a brand new TDI in May 2012. Since May 2012, it has been in the shop 8 times over check engine light and numerous repairs. I've had it towed out of pocket 2 times, and the 3rd time they towed it. I had hope when I contacted VW of America, but it turns out they are completely useless and do not care about losing clients for life. I wanted a new SAFE RELIABLE car, which is what I thought I bought, and the most they offered me for my issues was $1k towards a new car. HA! Don't even waste your time trying to get satisfaction by calling them. Check VW forums and see how horrible this company is. I've never talked to such unprofessional, horrible people in my life. I'm going to BBB to file my complaint because VW of America is a joke.

I doubt very much whether my feedback is important...

I doubt very much whether my feedback is important to anyone at Volkswagen. I m so annoyed that Volkswagen could/would not offer any type of assistance to me.

I was in the market for my sixth Beetle convertible. I ve driven nothing but a Beetle since 2000. On Saturday, May 18, 2019 I put my top down in the morning with no problem. I went to my son s home and my car was parked outside his home in a residential neighborhood for a few hours.

When I returned to my vehicle I pressed the button to put the top up and nothing happened. I read the manual and took out the bolts so that I could put the top up manually. I then tried to close the top and I was unable to latch it. There was a space of approximately 1/2 between the soft top and the windshield.

I took the vehicle to Lash VW in White Plains, NY where I was told the entire top would need to be replaced for $8,400.00 I was further advised the top was bent. HOW DID THE TOP BECOME BENT??? I don t see any body damage on the vehicle. It was not in a collision. I wish someone could explain this to me.

I was actually turning in the my leased vehicle and looking to purchase a new Beetle and now I m supposed to pay $8,400.00 for a new top.

I m shocked that after being a loyal customer and purchasing 5 Beeles, planning to buy a sixth Beetle, there was nothing Volkswagen Customer Care could do to assist me. I asked to speak with supervisor and was told no one would give me a different answer and was not transferred.

Well I imagine VW does not care that they have lost a previously LOYAL customer, who will be sure to repeat this issue to as many people as I can. This is in no way customer CARE!

Useless. A dealer service department botched a recall-related appointment, leaving me unexpectedly stranded. Considering it was a recall - that is, related to a manufacturer's defect - I called VW Corporate to see if they could help apply pressure to the dealer or otherwise provide help with transportation. They offered to call back by the end of the next business day! Not much help. They tried calling at a couple inconvenient times and then perfunctorily sent an email that they were closing the case and be sure to look out for a customer satisfaction survey. Sure thing, guys, thanks a lot!

Great employer and car manufacturer. I am looking forward to their newest American-made vehicle. I recently test drove the ATLAS. Amazing quality while providing the most competitive price on the market.
