This is our second volkswagen golf R we have bought from Crewe volkswagen in the last 12 months. We are from Leeds so the p/x prices have aways been done over the phone and collected the car at a later date. Fantastic customer service from Steve Pitman our sales guy, always keeps in contact to let us know what's happening and great after sales service too. All in all first class in every department. Would highly recommend buying a car from here!

I bought an ex-demonstrator Golf R-line in mid Dec...

I bought an ex-demonstrator Golf R-line in mid December.
The car was fine but it didn t come with any carpets and when I phoned my local dealer I was told they were standard.
When I emailed the two people who d sold me the car neither replied.
Disappointing as it was after I sent a tweet I had an email and call from Steve who was excellent and arranged for a set of mats to be sent out to me.
Great service.

Recently purchased my first car here and could not be happier. I was very nervous buying a car but the sales rep Luke Murphy was absolutely brilliant and made me feel really comfortable. I knew he was getting me the best deal for what I wanted and he made sure I went away happy

Absolutely disgusting customer service never dealt...

Absolutely disgusting customer service never dealt with anyone like it! Had a car over a year ago now, rang up to get hold of a service book because they couldn't remember to put it in and low and behold I've still not got it! They make the simplest of tasks seem hard! I will not be using them again that's for sure

We have Always bought new VW cars for the past 26 years !!! And again IHave had a really great experience from the beginning of my order to the collection today of our current new Touran.
I Was looked after really well by Oliver and got a fantastic deal too.
Also we were kept informed right through the build process .
Well done and a big thank you to Oliver and all at Crewe VW.

Never will I go here again tried charging me 230 for a CV boot went down the road and paid 12 pound. Worst of all they looked down their snobby noses at me wen I said I'm not paying that.......AVOID

Excellent service from Megan in the service department. Good facility's tea and coffee or Mineral water whilst you wait with free WiFi. Good clean garage which inspires confidence that the technicians are compitant. We have a golden service pack which is excellent value for money a major and minor service plus mots along the way.

My partner and I are both customers and think these guys are great. Brilliant customer service and engagement. When your car is in for service, they send you personalised videos walking you through what they have found etc. They are always friendly, and remember / know you. When our lease is up we will definitely be back!

What a joke! first of all the salesperson unlocked the car. I asked for the key to start the engine. reply I just pressed about 300 keys to get the car unlocked. I cant find the key! It only came in yesterday. Funny that as I looked at the car on auto trader about 3 to 4 days prior. What a great start. I then asked if they could do anything about a scratch on the glove box to be told they could wipe it. Would wiping it remove a scratch mark? I was then told that if you wanted an unmarked glove box I would need to buy new.

Terrible experience, we place a 500 deposit down to purchase a specific car with delivery due in 8 days. They phoned to tell us 6 days later they had sold our car to another person. Obviously we were not happy, they said they did not have a replacement, although would call us tomorrow with an up-date. 3 days later no call, I have to chase them, full of promises again, no call back again for 3 days, I had to chase again! Total lack of care or respect from the management down. VW are a great car, however, avoid the Crewe branch at all cost. Go to the Macclesfield branch even if it is a bit further to drive.

I bought a second hand Passat from them. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Mike Brain the salesman was great. Good inter personal skills, knew his stuff. His boss and their handover man were also very good. Such a contrast to VW Macclesfield who were a disgrace. Would not hesitate to recommend them and buy from them again.

I traveled 2+ hours to see a car I liked online at Crewe VW, test drove it and put a deposit down. I was told I wouldn't be able to collect it for 2 weeks as they needed to have received full payment, service it and fill in a dent - fair More

As regards sales these are possible the worst.

Went in to look at a car within the group was left sitting in a chair by ourselves for over an hour before they came out with different cars (after I was getting vocal).

Ended up calling the other garage in the group and doing everything over the phone including the price we wanted (that Crewe said they could not get). We are not wasting our time again going into this garage to buy a car.



All in all an odd place.

From my first phone call enquiring about the specs on a new Golf R that was in stock, salesman Mike was fantastic. Not only was it just a basic enquiry but I was only at the start of considering if I even wanted to change my existing car. Mike was helpful and knowledgeable and answered all my questions promptly. Several phone calls over the course of a week with still no certainty of a sale for mike he still helped and answered all my questions.
I decided I did want to proceed with a px of my existing car and was offered a very fair price for mine and a excellent deal on a new car. Again throughout this process mike and his manager Richard were great organising everything easily and with no fuss.
I travelled nearly 3 hours to do the deal and once I got there they had another Golf R which I preferred the spec on and again they sorted this there and then with no fuss and an even better deal for me.
I ended up with money back from my trade in and this was promptly paid into my bank account.
Even after the deal was done Mike responded quickly to any further questions I had and returned calls ( its easy selling a car but the after sales are what counts).
If your thinking of getting a car I can highly recommend Mike, no pushy sales tactics, great customer services and goes above and beyond to help.
Sadly I had a minor issue with the car but again the aftersales manager was fantastic and was more than happy to help and resolve the issue.
I will certainly be taking the long trip up to buy any future VW after the great service ive received.

When you pick up a new car, you do not expect it to fail after 29 miles and refuse to start. Then expecting the dealership to sort it out, only to be told contact VW Recovery. Then you find out the vehicle is so new it is not on the system. Another call to the dealership and things start to get sorted. At last some staff who knew how to treat a disgruntled customer. Things getting sorted, but can only give one star because of the initial contact. Customer service a little lacking........

Great when they are selling you the car, BE WARNED ONCE THE INK IS DRY ,YOUR ON YOUR OWN.
They messed up filling a simple form on the Dvla website and now they have told me I have to wait 3 months for my V5 . So carn t fit my private Reg .
They never had the guts to phone me waited five weeks and had to email them then it all come to light .
PATIENCE ? Could be 3 month .Answer my email question twice I have asked you .

Appalling service! Bought a car from here a couple...

Appalling service! Bought a car from here a couple of weeks ago with various problems, some of which have yet to be resolved.
1) When I collected the car it was left out in the rain and dark forecourt so I couldn't check it over thoroughly.
2) Floor mats weren't fitted as agreed. Was told there is a week wait for them. Over 2 weeks later and still haven't received them. Called them 4 times and still haven't been told the situation with them.
3) Rear number plate was put on 4 inches off centre.
4) Wasn't switched to variable servicing as requested.
My previous car was a Punto from Arnold Clark at a fraction of the price. Didn't have any issues with it whatsoever. I expected better from a franchised VW dealership.

Amazing service from the second we walked on the forecourt . Lovely young lady taking photos of cars greeted us and went straight Inside to get a member of the sales team .
Out pops Mike gets us the keys to our preferred Golf and 45 mins later we purchased .
I cannot stress enough how easy and pleasant the staff were .
It makes a refreshing change .

Made an appointment to test drive one of their GTE cars after doing months of research, booked the afternoon off work, arrived early but no one was expecting me and the car I wanted drive & buy had been taken by one of the salesmen, so it was a completely wasted journey. They then advised me to buy a Toyota!! Great sales force VW. I had almost forgiven you for defrauding me with my last Golf (diesel emission con) but I will never buy another VW now. If you can t even organise test drives for your customers because you ve let your employees use the cars for personal use, you don t deserve any business in the UK (in my humble opinion). I took your advise though and bought a Prius today

I went for a recall/update. This seemed to go ok but i have contacted them again recently and found the customer service slow, poor and the quote excessive compaired to other local garages.

Just had my first experience with Crewe VW, June 2019. Had a cambelt & waterpump and service on my Passat estate. Price was very competitive and staff were polite, attentive and helpful. Will and Tom in the Service dept looked after me very well.
There was a small problem when I collected the car, check engine light was on. It was a Friday evening and time for people to go home but they didn't miss a beat, apologised quickly, sorted it out in about 20 mins and I was on my way. Overall, great service. I'd highly recommend them.

I saw a car I liked on the internet and went along to view it at VW Crewe on a Saturday. The salesman I saw (Greg) said he d look for other vehicles in my price range and get back to me on the Monday.
I never heard from Greg until two weeks later when I received an email about the car I originally saw.
In the meantime I had enquired about possibly having a lease car from them. I left two messages and no one called me back. I then received a customer satisfaction call and told them that I wasn t at all satisfied and she promised she would get someone to call. I then emailed Greg and asked him to get someone to call me.
Three weeks later and I have now purchased a car from elsewhere.

Great service, restored confidence that not all VW dealerships are just after your money. Great service from Gemma and kept me up to date with all the work on my golf. The customer service at Crewe actually call you back when you have an enquiry. Thank you

When you're there they do what they say they will ...

When you're there they do what they say they will do and communication during service or sales is good. After that, expect zero follow up or call backs if you have issues. No proactive action or ownership. In fact, be prepared to be told whey you're wrong and its actually your fault. This car is the last I will buy from them.

I've had nothing but trouble with the Crewe garage...

I've had nothing but trouble with the Crewe garage. When I collected my car the spare wheel and jack was missing. They took one out of a different car and the sales man knocked the back bumper with it. Then the locking wheel nut was found to be missing and the blame was put on me. On top of this the car had overspray on it from someone else's wheel refurbishment! Was told it was just the life shine. They had it " buffed and polished" but it looks like they let a 5 year old lose with sandpaper.

After, I got told to shut up and sort my attitude out after saying I'm not happy to Richard.

Then a year after I come to get my car MOT and serviced. Thought I'd give them a second chance. I told them over the phone, on the service notes and in person not to wash the car and emphasized it. I come to pick it up to see it washed and it looks worse than when I dropped it off. Will be using another garage next time. Not happy at all. It's like they aren't bothered or listen to their customers.

I've been going to this dealership for the past couple of years and have not been disappointed at all, staff are friendly, enthusiastic and more than happy to have a bit of banter,
So far I've been dealing with a gentlemen called Oliver B, who has been excellent in helping me pick out the car that I want and has been willing to have open discussions on different models and variations.

Will definitely be coming again in the future!
