Where to begin about this hotel??? First off, this older lady that checked us in was just terrible. She just seems like a very unhappy person! To make matters worse, rooms were not clean. Moldy shower curtains( that I have asked to be changed), dirty pillow cases and dirty towels! Not to mention the heat that ended up not working the 3 out of our 5 nights stay! If it wasn t a business trip, I would have changed this hotel in a heartbeat. Just awful!

Awesome. More than I expected. My friends and I showed up earlier than scheduled, and we were able to check in with no problems. The atmosphere was amazing! Great hotel.
A beautiful Hotel. Very clean, comfortable rooms. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. We will definitely stay again. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. Plenty of parking. Beautiful setting in Virginia countryside yet close to everything. Excellent value.
Newly remodeled rooms. Good conference facilities. Limited on your own meal choices but purchased and catering food was very good. Good room service. Staff is outstanding... friendly, helpful and attentive. Nice golf course. Must have a car to find restaurants and shopping. Fair handicapped accessibility... limited parking, entrances, long ramps, bathrooms are fully compliant. Enjoyed my conference.
Terrific space, if a little confusing for first time visitors as to how to check in (it's in the Jefferson building). The wifi instructions are a bit difficult, but if you search for available networks and try to connect to the Hilton network, it will let you enter the login info and then it's good. Great, friendly staff. Great room.
Nice hotel. Great location. But they tacked on an extra fee without giving a reason although I didn't take the time to inquire about it. (It was only $25) Still a beautiful place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff and a great restaurant and bar.
Stayed for two nights for business. The room was very clean and well furnished. The Taven bar was clean and had great service. Set up like a compound so really don't need to leave the premises. Would stay again
I loved the room and the bed/pillows were heavenly. I only wish the WIFI was a bit better. Also, not having a microwave was an inconvenience. Nonetheless, I would definitely stay again! Great hotel.
I have the pleasure of an extended stay here at VC. I really love this place! The staff has truly been nothing short of amazing. Taylor - the Front Desk manager is always so warm and inviting. Mike the GM is incredibly helpful and a pleasure to work with. The restaurant is great too. I haven't tried a dish I haven't liked yet. Aside from the staff, the hotel property is beautiful and there are so many things to enjoy here. 10/10 recommend!
Accesible, courteous and upscale, yet affordable. Meticulous grounds keeping makes for a pleasant stay. Arrived too late to appreciate the tavern and restaurant.
This hotel was amazing and I would definetly return. It's an amazing and very building with a lot of history. I went through a 3rd party and paid below the going rate. They have a golf course, full bar and dinner menu. They also have a somewhat underground tunnel to travel around each separate hotel facility without going outside. I'll return in the summer, for the golf and the scenery.
We were able to book a room last minute while evacuating a hurricane and the staff are all very friendly and pleasant. The rooms are so nice and the whole campus is so beautiful and elegant. There are also underground tunnels to get to the other buildings without getting rained on!
I only stayed one night and wish I had more time to enjoy the place. The staff was wonderful especially the front desk Melissa, she was very knowledgeable and helpful, and made sure I had everything I needed! Also breakfast was delicious I will definitely be back!
Felt like I took a step back in time in the hotel - it was great! Beautiful well-kept grounds, courteous staff, beautiful old-timey interior but with modern amenities. Loved staying here and would stay again!
Great place to stay. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. When visiting my dad we always stay here, our home away from home! Thank you for another pleasant stay!
The problems started right from the start. The lighting was poor on the signs so it was hard to find Guest Registration driving in. The check-in process went well. We got up to our room and turned on the TV. The remote was not working consistently. We called for help. The engineer came up and it worked fine. After he left I quickly realized it had a limited range. 3 feet from the box it worked great, but in bed, forget it. We then ordered shrimp and grits in our room and a bottle of sparkling water. It came pretty timely, but the shrimp and grits was mixed with canned chili con carne! I've never heard of such a thing. It was horrible. But worse was the water which required a bottle opener. We were told they didn't have any. What were we supposed to do, open it with our teeth, or the side of the cabinet?! The server reluctantly went to find one in housekeeping. We called the front desk and complained. When we finally got the bottle opener, we sent the dinner back. The bed and pillows were firmer than I like but others may like that. There was only 1 bar of soap in the bathroom for both sink and shower. No complimentary robe, which is fine, but for this class of hotel, usually included. When I stay at a Hilton hotel, I expect more than I do from a lesser hotel brand; that's why I stay there. This was not up to their usual standard.
My husband and I stayed here for 1 night for our anniversary. We got married here last year and the entire experience as wonderful. For this stay, I was disappointed that housekeeping knocked on our door at 8am. We received a letter when we got there stating housekeeping would only be provided upon request, which we did not do. We were also supposed to receive a bottle of champagne but it was never brought to our room. We were comped for this. Also, several housekeepers did not have masks on. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant and the grounds are very nice. Breakfast was good and the servers and customers all wore masks.
Attended a meeting, didnt spend the night or use restaurant. Lots of activity with numerous events. Not enough staff to clean up after continental breakfast. Dishes, etc sat for some time. Carpet was new since last there, but walls needed repairs from scuffs and dings.
Hotel and atmosphere is nice. Room is well kept and housekeeping did a good job cleaning up after me. Big complaint is with the Wi-Fi. Pretty slow, which made it hard to stream videos on the internet.
Wonderful accommodations! The staff is amazing. Attention to details is paramount with this hotel. The culinary creations that come from the kitchen are spectacular!
Dropped my daughter at comfort zone camp and rather than drive 4 hours, tried staying here for the weekend. Terrible hotel, terrible service. Only one of the 2 queen beds were made. No (0/4) usb ports worked. Figured I'd work on that on the morning. Well, 1am the fire alarm goes off and we evacuated. Cancelled the reservation and went to the DoubleTree by the airport.
Excellent place to host/attend a business conference. I have been here multiple times for work related functions and have been very pleased each time. The service is friendly, the facility is impeccably clean and the food is great. Don't miss breakfast, it's a great spread complete with a fresh omelette station that is a perfect way to start the day.
Driving through Glen Allen and booked this room last minute. We got a fantastic, clean, quite room for a great rate. We eat dinner in the lounge, the salad was incredible. Slept very well, even with serious storms around and power flickering; back up generators kicked in and woke up refreshed and ready to go! I hope to revist soon.
Very nice place! Weird that the buildings are separate and not connected, so when its freezing outside you have to go out in the cold to get to the lobby. Other than that it was really nice. Food was great!!!
