Doubletree Richmond Airport Review

Great stay. Clean rooms. Only thing was it was a little noisy at night due to planes approaching.

Comode and AC need work, bathroom could of been cleaner.

My family & I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Very beautiful, great staff & super clean! Located near the airport but once inside, you wouldn't even know, loved it. We definitely plan to stay here when we're in the area again!

First time In richmond was visiting my dad and step mom but I booked me a room because their in the military and tree very strict . But This doubletree location is awful pool closed restaurant closed gym closed due to covid-19 some young kids was having a loud party next to my room it was so difficult to sleep I could smell the pot in the hallway cookies never fresh always harder than a rock elevator looks like it belongs in the red roof or motel 6 somewhere front desk and housekeepers where very sweet and helpful found bugs in my room (1 beetle and 4 lady bugs) a/c unit louder than a Yamaha bike doing doughnuts in the middle of the street had to leave in the middle of the night to go stay with a relative close by I will never stay at this location Ever again

Clean, well appointed with friendly staff. 3 minute drive to the airport.

The front desk guy was extremely rude. Tried joking with him and was told in no uncertain terms that he has been too busy to do xyz at which point he huffed off to go get cookies. Saw him again in the morning. No smile. No apology. Just an angry look on his face. Might need to hire more front desk staff. The room had only one sink but was fine for a one-night stay. Room was clean and comfortable.

Wonderful experience, staff amazing, friendly and room was extremely clean.

Great upgrade since Hilton took over from Holiday Inn

This was by far the nicest and most updated Double Tree I've stayed in! Super clean and the most amazing staff! I highly recommend this hotel and I am looking forward to staying here again!

First time I said the Doubletree was off Chesapeake Boulevard after my boyfriend passed away and they were so nice to me and gave me a free breakfast every morning of my stay. perfect place to stay

Close to airport, rooms were ok, front desk service was very slow and bar needs a better draft beer selection

Nice property. Friendly and helpful staff. Looks like a nice bar area but didnt have time to test it out. Rooms can get some noise from airport but nothing too terrible. Great location for early morning flights.

The customer service is very lacking. Paid for two days the rooms were stuffy. Attitude when I asked about the cookies and they weren t available all weekend. So screw the people that book on the weekends. Also no late check out. I will not be back and spend my money elsewhere next time.

We chose this hotel in part because of the complimentary breakfast listed on the website. The truth is it is only complimentary if you are a gold member. It is 11.99 for a continental breakfast and 14.99 for a full breakfast. Bad business and misleading.

Hilton did a nice job with the upgrade. I'm not in the hotel business but I wasnt sure why the change was needed. The holiday inn Express suites the place nicely. I'm sure as usual that money was the culprit. Hiltons cost more!

Room was very clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just outside of the Richmond airport. Will be staying here again on my next business trip.

Saved the day, er night after fire alarms at a different hotel made sleeping impossible

Super clean room. The bed was so comfortable! Humongous flat screen TV. We had a walk-in shower which I liked. Keurig in room. They have a restuarant and bar. No free breakfast. Staff was friendly at check in and gave us those awesome, warm fresh-baked cookies. Keep in mind that this is next to the RIC airport so you will hear planes and some interstate traffic noise.

Air-conditioning was noisy service was excellent but food and drinks over priced

AC was nice and cold and bed was comfortable but it looks like a ex change hotel that they put lipstick on to make it a Double Tree so for the extra money your not getting the Double Tree high end comforters

We enjoyed our stay very much! Everyone from the check in staff to the shuttle drivers were amazing! We will definitely stay again when in the area.

The location has updated the rooms recently but all the rest of the equipment is supper old and breaking all the time. 1 of 2 elevators, cheep lazy workmanship on the upgrades, and it goes on from there.

Many amenities are closed including the pool and restaurant. Rooms are clean, masks required in public areas. Muffins and water available for breakfast.

The people was very nice but the breakfast wasn't very good...

It's a nice new small DoubleTree that's real close to the Richmond airport

One star because I never stayed at the hotel, but was still charged over $130. I called in the morning and spoke with a rude receptionist. I explained that I had to cancel for that night because my husband was sick and we were in the ER. The receptionist barked that it was cancelled and never even said goodbye. Thanks for nothing. That s the last time I will book with a Hilton.

The Doubltree has been the best hotel I have stayed in while visiting Richmond. The attendant at the front counter was incredible. I needed copies of very important documents and she took care of it immediately. I needed a screwdriver to fix something on my daughter's vehicle and she didn't hesitate to get it for me. Incredible hospitality. I will be back.

The front desk services were excellent. The room was clean, but average. Restaurant breakfast was ok; the waitress was nice. Temperature in conference was not well control.

Clean fresh smelling new rooms. For how new the property is the elevator floor looked dirty and lobby smelled a bit like smoking had occurred nearby.

Attended a wedding reception. The food was phenomenal as well as the host and waitresses

We only went to the bar for an after dinner drink, but the bartender was great.

I attended an event in one of the banquet room, it was clean and good was good

Great hotel, convenient and cheap. Good covid response but our floor wasn't vacuumed, found trash behind chair and Bobby pin in front of tv. Rest is great. Huge tv and very clean beds.

As we are near the airport, I expect airport noise. What I don't expect are guests not having the common sense manners to keep their mouths shut in the hallway at 1130 pm, a Harley Davidson motorcycle reving it's engine at 0200, and a guest snoring so loud in the room across the hall I had to put a pillow over my head (can't really fault Double Tree for that).
Our room was clean, modernly appointed and comfortable. Parking lot well lit.
I mistakenly assumed that a better mannered class of people would be at this property.
