On the positive side, room relatively clean and food served at conference was good quality, delicious and offered a wide variety. On the negative side, much of the parking close by was obscured by construction vehicles, dumpsters and equipment. Also, not enough electrical outlets to plug in mobile phone and laptop. Also, more critically, when lights are turned off to go to bed, this turned off outlet for my medically necessary C-PAP machine. Woke up choking for air.
For those traveling from Miami to Washington by car, this hotel is a must-stop for those who delight in roadside hotels. Be clear: this is not a roadside hotel! It's a luxury! A gift for yourself and for those of you traveling !!! A PRACTICAL LUXURY !!!!
Lovely grounds! Comfortable rooms. The tunnels are a unique way to go from building to building.
Hotel was clean and the staff was so friendly. Unique in the scenes it was played out like a campus but was so nice to walk around outside with the beautiful landscape.
The location is good, but you will have to drive to get anywhere that isn't on the campus. They have a bar and restaurant on the grounds which is very convenient. The rooms were large and airy. No microwave but there was a mini fridge. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and while the elevators are slow they're functional. I was a big fan of the doors that automatically opened, it made getting the luggage in and out much easier. The grounds themselves were very well taken care of. There was also a pool and hot tub. Overall a great value and a comfortable stay.
A hidden gem! Featuring a nostalgic setting reminiscent of Colonial days, this historic hotel is surrounded by lush fairways and greens of The Crossings golf course. Lots of other amenities on site. Be sure to visit the Tavern!
Was wonderful. We sat outside and when it got chilly they turned on the fire pit. Was so great!
Lovely rooms, beautiful location and good service- surprisingly close to Richmond city center for the open space the property offers. Beautiful views and lovely rooms too.
We held a work conference at the hotel. It is an excellent venue.
Very lovely, nice amenities and service. Very nice place to hold a conference.
Our family stayed two nights near the end of March. The rooms and facilities are clean. Dining in the on site restaurant was fine. Nothing unique or worth a wait. Our particular visit was quite noisy. There was no rest or relaxation. Echoes of heavy doors slamming shut beginning at 5:30am and consistently following suit well into noon. Conversations down the hallway. Housekeeping knocking at 9am and listening to staff rearranging furniture in nearby rooms. I personally request a room away from elevators or groups/events. Unfortunately, I did not book this one. This visit had so much potential but there was no relaxation to be had here... perhaps in a parallel universe ! We will not be back as there was no value.
Staff was nice and friendly. Food could have been a little better. Rooms are cute and cozy. Beautiful grounds.
The hotel itself was lovely. The room was very clean, comfortable bed, and great looking room. My only complaint is we experienced an awful smell on our morning of departure. It began in the very early morning hours and continued until we checked out around 9am. The smell seemed to be of strong order from cigarettes or cigars. Neither one of us smoke so it was very uncomfortable. We both were woken up by the smell. It seemed as though it was coming through the vents in the bathroom. Unfortunately, it quickly traveled throughout the entire room. We were on the fifth floor the the Monroe building. Again, lovely hotel, staff was great, but the smell was a big turn off.
Very very nice place. Peaceful surroundings looking forward to a great nights sleep.
This place is in transition into the Hilton family under the mystifying new Tapestry brand. It's got phenomenal potential, but service is very uneven, and the furnushings are decidedly old fashioned. It's a quite splendid property, ersatz Jefferson style.
Great property in a beautiful park setting with well kept grounds. Comfortable good size room with a huge flat screen TV. Food in Tavern is tasty with generous portions. Was surprised at the great rate. Excellent overall value for money. Liked it enough to stay another night to enjoy the relaxing experience.
Resort set on a golf course with all the onsite amenities you could want, including pool, restaurant, and full service bar. Great facility for conferences, food is delicious, and guest rooms are spacious. Underground tunnels connect all buildings so you don t even have to go outside during inclement weather.
There is not adequate parking for all the guests, so good luck if you return to your room later in the evening. There was extensive water damage to our ceiling during a rain storm over the bed. Hotel could not give us another room (after suggesting moving to a room with an inoperative bathroom), so we ended up leaving in the middle of the night. The front desk staff has a high level of inconsistent customer service.
The staff fulfilled my every need. Mike and Mike were spot on.
Awesome place with tunnels great rooms if available the president suite is worth the price
This is a very nice place to stay. Although dated, it is well kept and the workers were all friendly.
Stunning grounds. Feels like being on a resort. Room is large and comfortable. Sheets were new and very soft. Staff is friendly and professional. My favorite hotel, and very reasonably priced. We have 3 stays here.
