Nice hotel, nice people...just the key to get into...

Nice hotel, nice people...just the key to get into the room didn't work properly
Loved this place ....Hard to get to if you are rubbish at map reading but once there its fine....
We were upgraded for a better room at a members rate and btreakfast provided at a discounted price....
Room was lovely....overlooking the River at the rear....room 342....
Nice furniture...plenty of lighting...heating and hot water....
Never was disturbed only by a few Sirens in the City....but slept well...one moan the pillows are comfy but small more like cushions....and being a double room was only 1 dressing robe in bathroom but 2 prs of slippers.)??...
Staff efficient but Restaurant a bit hectic at Breakfast and needs a re'- jig staffing....food was a bit cold and portions were a bit debateable due to Serving Units(?)were slow in being replenished.....
Staff in Reception good and pleasant...Would stay again....
Room tip ask for a even numbered room overlooking rear its quieter as front facing looks onto a demolition site etc.....x
Told off and mentioned that the kitchen is closed. Not sure, as the hotels generally have 24/7 restaurants.
Correct me if I am wrong!
If you are walking towards Marriot, the area is slightly dodgy, and you might see drunk people coming in and out of the hotel and not a lot of security around.
Good location nice chain hotel. Good for functions, can get a bit noisy on a Friday or Saturday night
Hotel where old building and new taste were united. The location can be easily reached by walking to the city center. Is it something you should know about food?
Great hotel, staff really nice, room comfortable although bed was a bit too soft for me. Food was really good and great value compared to other hotels I've stayed at. In all I would recommend this hotel.
Kind of disappointing design given the cool industrial building it's in. Marriott is the McDonalds of the hotel industry: all the joys of predicability.
Excellent service from friendly , helpful and polite staff. Excellent choice of food for breakfast. Room well appointed but a little on the cold side. A problem for me was that it was a long way from the lift, but the room itself was clean and comfortable. Hotel in a good central location
Terrible service, the carpet on the 4th floor stinks of must. The desk was dirty. We asked them to call us a black taxi (Hackney Carriage) because we had a lot of luggage. They called a regular car. We asked them to help bring down the luggage and were still waiting half an hour later, so I did it myself. I won't be staying here again. As a shareholder I'm very disappointed that this hotel carries the Marriott name.
As a regular visitor to Manchester, it s really the only place I choose to stay, staff are excellent.
Lovely room, large and very clean. Beds very comfortable! Staff welcoming and helpful.
Great hotel. Great rooms. Great staff.
Would certainly stay again.
Receptionists all very helpful. Top floor room very large, sitting area with fantastic views of.... building site! Not Hotels fault as building going on everywhere. Took almost an hour to go 2.5 miles in rush hour to reach Hotel due to traffic and new roads being made. First impressions good.
Warm friendly and thoroughly professional from start to finish
Jose on reception and Vivienne from hotel staff made our visit memorable
Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to my fellow professionals
Lock forward to a return visit soon
Well done par excellence
I love this hotel. It used to be an old cotton mill which you can tell by the levy's in front of the hotel in the creeks as well as the interiors modern industrial vibe. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are very nice and clean. It is within walking distance as well to most major attractions in Manchester as well as great restaurants around as well.
Hotel is fine, lovely rooms etc but the restaurant service is appalling. Very limited menu, just shy of being fast food. However, our meal was forgotten by the chef, then told part of our order was sold out and even after this disappointment and apologies the food took forever to come out and was disappointing . Other diners had similar problems, although not to this extent.
Would recommend to avoid this restaurant.
Apparently it's a 4 star restaurant, no way!!!
This experience upset the weekend for us.
Had afternoon tea at the hotel yesterday and the service was appalling It took about 40 mins to get our food and an extra 40 mins to get our cocktail which was awful. We both left our drink, complained to management as did several other people and not even an apology. Dreadful service. Will not be going there again.
Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Handy location with town centre a short walk or shorter cab ride away
Good location and service, clean. Breakfast was ok. Free wifi is only for marriott reward member who booked directly, which is a letdown.
Friendly helpful staff. Good conferencing facilities and very nice lunch
Came from Dublin to Manchester and needed to book a hotel on the same day we arrived. We were very tired and had little sleep the previous night, when we called the hotel and asked to see when the earliest time we could check in, the receptionist told standard time was 3 pm but that they would try to put a rush order in for 11 am. We found it well enough but decided to go to the hotel right away and rest until it was ready. Upon arrival, we wanted to let them know we were there and waiting, they phoned up to see if the room might be ready at the moment and it was! We were all delighted and thankful for the staff. They are very helpful and kind. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to anyone planning on staying in Manchester. It isn't directly in the city center so it is quiet and close to everything. Our experience here was pleasant and worth it.
Great service, awesome staff, breakfast buffet was incredible!
Bothered probably a little too much by the fact that I couldn't find a single pen or paper in my room. Buffet was fine.
Noise from upper floor walking, from fountain at main entrance.
Really nice hotel. Only one night there and the rooms are great. Warehouse feel to them
Great hotel near to Deansgate. Everything you need !
Nice location thougg not the most central if u want to be near Northen Quarter. Good rooms. Many hiccups during check in that led to a change of room efficiently. Good conference facility. Seems to have a bit chaotic management
Probably the best Marriot hotel we've stayed in. Really friendly staff, went the extra mile.
Excellent. We will be back soon
The staff are horrible the mannager the Indian guy he very rude and not helpful he doesn t know how to talk to ppl ignorant never coming back here and I don t recommend this hotel at all
Excellent stay,luxurious,welcoming.Restaurant fantastic.
Great hotel in old warehouse. Meal time service issues though
Excellent hotel large rooms bar food excellent staff very fruendly and accomodating. Will definately use this jotel again.
The hotel is perfectly located within a few minutes walk of the Spnningfield region of Manchester, which is filled with many fine and inexpensive restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is well appointed with tasteful (rather than oppulant) furniture, ceilings with wooden beams, a plush foyer and friendly, professional staff. The cocktails offered in the bar are definitely worth sampling, and the hotel rooms are generous in size, clean and cosy. I would certainly stay here again.
Chain hotel but everything was spot on from start to finish, even though it is all a bit generic the staff were all polite and helpful. Nice building as well although the lifts are very slow
Stayed as an overnight guest. The room was very good followed by a breakf8
Great location. No porter to assist with luggage when arriving at hotel. Check in went well, staff were professional and friendly. To assistance with luggage to the room. Used the Marriott app to request extra towels that never came. Breakfast on Saturday morning was nice, many options to choose from, breakfast on Sunday provided the option to order from the menu so I decided to order some poached eggs, well after about 35 minutes I still had no eggs. My breakfast ended up being a croissant and a cup of tea that I had to keep getting up to refill. Not sure why since on Saturday morning I was brought a small kettle of tea.
Room was great. Nice ambient lounge to relax in also.
Fantastic hotel to stay. The staff and service were both excellent and the room was very roomy with a good bathroom. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of options to choose from whether you were someone who wanted vegetarian food or wanted an old school English breakfast.
good location, 5 minute drive in a taxi from train station, very clean conference room and very polite and friendly staff
Great location near to Spinning fields and the centre.
The staff are great, why two stars. Long time Marriott Elite member .I would not stay here again if the room was free.
Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious, beds we're good for me and my family but the TV was small and dated.
The hotel is a short walk from spiningfields. If ypur staying in MCR city and you will be back and forth from your hotel its a little far to walk. When we satyed there was a lot of construction across the road, noisy from 7am.
Always good at the Marriott. The Manchester one is a converted mill and its kept quite a lot of its previous features.
Nice hotel - love the look and feel of the place. Pretty good location as well in terms of proximity to cool places around. Staff was friendly and helpful but didn't like that they claimed to have upgraded me to a "Junior Suite" which turned out to be a standard king room though.
Very good room excellent location and very friendly staff
They damaged my grandparents car while they parked it
Only thing I can say is the ceilings are too low, but then I'm a giant
Great conference and function facilities provided by the venue. Fantastic food and service from all the staff.
Quirky hotel rooms (with ceiling beams) but finished to the usual high standards of Marriott hotels.
Limited parking but central locaiton with easy access to Deansgate etc.
Perfect stay I had at Marriot hotel with a nice view and the air condition was working well.
Loved everything about this place! Clean and wonderfully decorated!
Me and a few of the boys stayed the night and Everything was ehhh
The hotel is situated near the centre of Manchaster (20 min walking distance). The rooms are modern, well designed and comfy. The service was attentive
Love it ! Has some interesing feel. Nice combination of old and new. Very friendly staff.
If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIR ven. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
A wonderful place to stay in Manchester, England. Very clean rooms, terrific staff, accommodating to early arrival and extended check out. Will send room service anytime at all and tries to prepare any dishes you request. I will always stay at this hotel. The manager helped us find transportation during the marathon when all local streets were closed to traffic. Couldn t be nicer!
Today I took my friend for afternoon tea at the Victoria & Albert Marriot . It was a very enjoyable and pleasant afternoon The menu chartered well for our vegetarian requirements and the cocktail was a perfect touch to a celebratory occasion. The staff were attentive and very friendly.
