Polite staff, helpful. Rooms are a good size and clean. Also ate at the restaurant and food is too a high standard. Would definately stay here again.

Disappointing experience. Poor soundproofing on the rooms. Constant hum from somewhere. Uncomfortable bed. I'm not going back.
So my experience at this hotel was a little mixed.
The first night stay I would say the bed was a lot more comfortable than the second however the view was not great.
My second night the view was pretty awesome but the bed was not that great.
The breakfast on both nights was fantastic.
There is currently work going on around the hotel as well as at the hotel so it did get a little annoying but wasn't unbearable, be warned the car does get dirty. Parking is slightly limited at the hotel however they will make arrangements so not bad.
The greatest let down was the room I had booked was not available due to the work going on at the hotel. Personally believe I should have been warned in advance since I had booked the room well in advance.
It s a nice hotel with good comfort. Popular location!
Great hotel and great restaurant. Loved our stay and can't wait to go back.
Fine dining No. Good food well just No Atmosphere Fri night only 4 people in. Dark, could only just read the menu. No room in the car park double yellow lines everywhere. Staff very good. 5 stars for them.
Good hotel. But currently surrounded by several construction sites (March 2019). Also difficult to navigate to, by car, as a result. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location for central Manchester.
Great place to get your head down. Staff were friendly and polite, happy to assist with any requests made. Thoughly enjoyed my stay, and will most certainly be staying again soon.
I've come to accept that the Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel in Manchester City Centre is a lovely venue and location, but really badly managed. Imagine my shock yesterday (Saturday 20th April 2019) when I requested a pot of tea and the lovely Romanian young lady failed to understand. After several clarifications 'a tea" "a pot of tea" it was not possible to get a pot of tea. If you cannot get a pot of tea, what can you get?! Truly bizarre.
Upgraded on arrival, fair to say staff were very nice, but service overall was slow. Suite was nice but let down by bathroom which had a very bad bath which looked stained.
Treated like Kings. Very good.
Also had the oppotunity to meet the Liverpool players before their game v United. Good breakfast.
This place is beautiful.
The employees are extremely nice and the place is very clean.
The lounge area and the hotel restaurant are on the bottom floor. The food in there is amazing.
The place is walking distance to several restaurants like The Dockyard.
If you get there early and they are still getting your room ready for you, they will put your luggage (suitcases) in a room and you can chill in the lounge or you could go for a walk.
In terms of comfort and service - the usual Marriott. Breakfast is delicious, but monotonous. Somewhat unusual entourage - the hotel is converted from an old industrial building. Located slightly away from crowded places, but the city center is within walking distance. Now (September 2017) some nearby roads are blocked due to construction.
Top-notch. Comfortable rooms and beds, friendly staff, good stuff for breakfast, convenient location.
Really nice bar with extremely friendly staff. Good wine selection and the food is pretty nice too!
Amazing staff and enviroment couldn't really want more that that from an amazing hotel
Lovely friendly staff. The bar and restaurant are lovely. Parking is tight there, hence the valet parking, this is not an option, but a necessity. The room was lovely though the TV and the internet haven't been upgraded yet.
Lovely place. Usually staff can be a bit iffy with bands at functions but staff here are brilliant and couldnt do enough to help.
Highly professional I would recommend this place to anybody
I went for a conference, it is a nice conference venue for up to 50 people with a good lunch. Lighting is not the best, and not too many plugs you can find.
Excellent, staff is very helpful especially Andrea.
Our stay at the Victoria and Albert Hotel was once again fab-u-Lus !! Nothing too much trouble from all the staff. My friend and I Kath have built up a special relationship with your concierge Babychen. Our only comment would be perhaps little smaller tarrif for smaller appetites at breakfast!
Attended conference. Great food, only downside was the temperature of the room, so cold!
Amazing hotel, wow factor on arrival, beautiful building and decor, pleasant staff (a little slow at checking in)
Awesome ambiance and good serving with delicious food.
I have been there for Biomechanics Summer School and I think this hotel is very beatifull and organization is amazing!!
stunning and had a lovely stay. I loved the old warehouse look
Yes, I enjoyed this hotel. I enjoyed its low-slung wooden ceilings in the hallways reminiscent of its former life as a dark satanic mill on the banks of the River Irwell (where, for clarity, it still resides) ; I enjoyed the sufficient selection of channels on its Philips television set; I enjoyed the complimentary sparkling and still water; I enjoyed the hair dryer in a drawer; I enjoyed the strange pervasive whispering noise in the bathroom; I enjoyed the smaller than standard hooks on the clothes hangers in the wardrobe; I enjoyed the slight frisson of rebelliousness I experienced when I sat down to the complimentary and well-appointed breakfast selection WITHOUT declaring my room number. Yes. I enjoyed this hotel. I enjoyed it very much.
Getting hard to pick people up from here in a coach with all the building works going on around it cart be good for the hotel
Great place, was there for a conference but would certainly use it for staying over judging by the impression I got
ideal for Manchester nightlife n shopping plus attentive staff
My stay was incredible, I would have to give a personal thanks to KATE and DANNY who were at the front desk in Marriott V&A. I can't express how happy I am with my stay due to the astonishing love and care that was provided to me by Kate and Danny, the two of them went the extra mile to make sure me and my family were happy with our stay. we were unable to find a parking, Kate was willing to move her own personal vehicle to comfort the customer and that for me is absolutely remarkable, that on a busy hotel night she was willing to let me park in a staff bay and hold the burden on her head just so I am happy and my vehicle is safe. Kates communication was very effective and she was extremely patient which I appreciate alot as I don't see it very often. She had a beautiful smile on her face from start to end, this is my third time meeting Kate and she is absolutely amazing, even in the breakfast hall she was extremely patient and was running me through every item very specifically as its not easy at the moment due to the covid restrictions etc. She was extremely welcoming and honestly I will be staying at V&A Marriott only due to their amazing service and I would recommend if you do stop by, ask for Kate or Danny or Maria as they will ensure everything is perfect with your stay.
Danny was an amazing gentleman he had a very pleasant attitude and was extremely gentle and polite throughout my stay. Danny has a great sense of humour which truly lightened up my day, he really can turn ur day around, Danny has a very open minded personality which I personally think is very important in his line of work and he has evidently mastered it. I am extremely pleased with Danny as he even helped me carry some stuff from my vehicle up to my room which I find beyond generous. even my whole family commented on what a great man Danny is. he was extremely genuine while speaking and was very helpful in every manner I can't thank you enough for making my stay a 10/10
Thank you very much Kate and Danny I will be bringing more family back due to your astonishing service.
Generally nice hotel. Let down for a few reasons though. We were 'upgraded' to a king which had a connecting door to the next room. The insulation was none existant and the room next door extremely loud. Breakfast was hectic and unorganised and our food was stone cold by the time we got back to the table. The queues for the singular toaster (which was set to high burning everyone's bread) were long and people were waiting 5-10 mins for items to come back in stock.
Nice clean warm hotel with parking great for a city stay and shopping.
Service and attitude ok, hotel restaurant and bar and rooms are very charming with exposed brickwork and lovely woodwork.
Its was a good event and well hosted however there was never any orange juice and the service was not great
Had a really nice one night stay in one of the junior suites. Fantastic breakfast.
Attended a conference. Service coffee and cookies were great!
Lovely afternoon tea here this afternoon! Plenty of sandwiches and delicious warm scones and cakes! Also as much tea and coffee as you like! Will visit again.
I've stayed here a few times now and have many more in my near future. The staff are always very nice. The hotel doesn't have a gym on site but they can arrange access to a local one should you wish. The facilities otherwise are modern with free Wi-Fi etc. Great location for access to Spinning Fields and about a 20 minute walk from Manchester Piccadily.
Nice hotel but very overpriced your just paying for the Name
Very nice hotel in a beautifully restored building. Interestingly, the ceilings seem to get lower each floor you go up. With my height (1.81m), the 3rd floor was still okay, but if you're 2 meters or taller (not uncommon in the Netherlands) this may become a problem.
Lovely cocktail afternoon tea, sat overlooking the river. Fantastic, friendly service. Not intrusive. Relaxed atmosphere. The afternoon tea was fresh and delicious. Good selection of cakes, just the correct portion size. Well worth it.
Great service provided to our god Cx.. Ice Poseidon!!!
Cozy hotel walking distance from Manchester downtown.
Stayed at the hotel as a complimentary night
Bad points
Air conditioning unit didnt work
Bathroom was very basic and dated
The ceiling is wood looks really nice but can hear the guest above you
The complimentary soaps they give you is cheap and tacky
No fridge in the room
No spa
Not one to complain but if you do want something nice try kingstreet town house its a different world in there
Good location, spacious rooms, friendly staff. Restaurant food choice limited.
Nice hotel for the price, nice comfortable room. Breakfast was a bit lacking in choices and I one night when I got back after midnight I had to wait quite a while for the reception staff to let me in which was annoying since they were in plain view and not doing anything.
Was very close to bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good with lots of options and staff were always asking if there was anything else we needed. Room was comfy.
I booked to stay in March 2020 and cancelled within a couple of hours. They have taken the full amount out of my account. I called today and Stephanie assured me my account will be reimbursed today. It hasn t. Not very good customer service.
Though I was only doing the photography for Bridal Prep, nothing was too much hassle and Babychen in particular was very helpful. Highly recommend the location and venue. Versfeld Photography
Nice, but sometimes slightly difficult to communicate with staff
We stayed here as we were going to see Britney Spears at the MEN arena, we booked the room using Marriott Points so it didn t cost us any money.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the reception desk and were offered at upgrade to a two room suite for a ridiculous price, we declined the breakfast offer as we don t tend to have it.
The room was fantastic as were the facilities, it was great having the extra space. We also had nice views of the river.
It s within easy walking distance of the city centre and the arena. Looking forward to going back in December.
Nice hotel. Rooms are dated but nice vibe. Good area.
