Prior to calling this company, I called two others and one other had great customer service as well but never explained the lower rates while the other tried to be extremely pushy which made me uneasy especially considering that I ve never actually bought insurance before. Then I stumbled upon Robert Falk who turned out to definitely be amazing. He didn t beat around the bush and try to be a salesman but an honest human being. I really appreciated it. Thanks again, Robert!!! HE MAKES THE COMPANY. Deserves to be at the top and will continue working with this company because of him in the future.

Wow - What a great experience with Andrew while I was trying to navigate the insurance system in California. Unfortunately I had a misunderstanding with COBRA (the worst institution ever) so I had to get onto short-term healthcare for 45 days until open enrollment was "open." While I signed up online and immediately received a call from them and I was hesitant to proceed, the process was really easy and I was back on health insurance within 30 minutes, plus travel medical insurance for an upcoming trip. Definitely calling Andrew back to navigate my open enrollment process for the 1/1/19 year.

I was searching for a new health insurance plan. Was extremely fortunate when I called the number associated with the plan I was interested in and Christopher Driskell answered. Not only was he a pleasure to speak with, he was professional and knowledgeable about the product. He was able to answer my questions and make suitable suggestions regarding my inquiry. Though I will not be utilizing the product until the New Year, the phone call and related process was quite simple to complete. If the company's follow up service is anything like his customer service, I will be pleased. If you are looking for a new insurance for 2019 I would recommend reaching out to Christopher Driskell- licensed Broker/Benefit Advisor.

In getting the insurance thru Vela point is a great experience. They took the money out of the account just fine. BUT, I have NOT received any confirmation or cards in the mail
So, I have been very disappointed in the insurance. I just hope that they will cover in doctor's appointment that I have today. I am very unsure.

Mark Thompson was great, speedy, and informative. I ve had an aversion to getting insurance, not knowing where to start, but he made it super easy to understand.

Beware! Make sure you cancel old policies yourself that they provided you or else you will be charged for the new ones they broker for you, as well as the old ones. This could cause insufficient charges with your bank and when you tell them about your loss, you will find yourself thoroughly disappointed in their reply- sorry, it's your fault! My one star rating has nothing going to do with the insurance they broker, but the information they share regarding what is their responsibility and what is the customer's. Their failure to disclose the information I needed cost me over $165 after I received any refund amounts from cancelling old policies myself. They take no responsibility for not communicating the customer's obligation to cancel old policies. If they can start a new policy on my approval, why would I not think they had the power to cancel old policies based on my approval, also? I wonder how they will feel when that which they allow to happen to others comes back around on them? In a word- frustrated!

Wesley was knowledgeable, patient and thorough in answering all of my questions. In the end, he found my family a richer short term policy (because we are in between employer plans) for a much better price than competitors. I highly recommend checking out VelaPoint.

EDIT: I will change this to a three-stars. My mom called after I hung up with Berry that same day, though she had to go through quite a few people to talk to a supervisor on that day. Eventually, I heard the supervisor she talked with was good, and explained that many people in the office were upset because it was a Saturday and they didn't usually have to work on Saturdays, but they did that Saturday because it was open enrollment.

I just spoke with Berry. He was very rude, short with me, and gave terrible advice.

Agent (Wes) was a native English speaker (miracle of miracles,) educated, intelligent, knowledgeable, personable, honest. I ended up buying a secondary policy I didn't know existed or was an option and he steered me clear of a policy that wasn't going to suit my needs.

UPDATE: Sadly have to change my review from 5 stars to 2 stars Bc I ended up having issues with the plan recommended to me by Adam.

Called Adam NUMEROUS times asking for help and he never returned my calls. Very disappointing. If it wasn t for two other responsive employees (carol Ann and Colnesha) I would have been left in the dark.

Excellent customer service representative answered all my questions on our initial call and did not pester me with follow-up sales calls. I had not heard of National General until a major health care provider in our area recommended them as an option for a one-month lapse in coverage after our COBRA policy ended. I wish I had known earlier, because National General s rate for my wife and I (age 61 and 59) was over half the COBRA price for the same network of doctors and hospitals.

My agent was Shawn and he was amazing in finding me the dental coverage I needed to have for my current dental office and it came at an affordable price. I m very happy with my dental insurance company. I will be using him again and recommending him to anyone I know who needs inexpensive coverage right away.

Nicole was amazing!!! Super helpful with explaining the various terminology and assisting in narrowing down my options. I had been overwhelmed with the multitudes of healthcare choices out there and struggled to make the best choice for my family. Nicole talked me through everything step by step; at 7pm, on the last day I could register, I might add. She really made me feel confident in my decision and comforted that I had chosen correctly. Can t say enough wonderful things about her.

I was told when I signed up that my monthly chiropractic adjustment would be covered and it is NOT! Andrew -also does not return my phone calls. Uncaring.

Jon Gerber was excellent. First he asked a series of questions to find out what my needs were. Then he presented different options available to help my needs. He was able to explain very clear what were the advantages and disadvantages of each health plan. He even did a search on the computer to see what family physicians were in network providers for the health plan selected. I think I spent over one to one and half hours with him. He was very patient, calm and had excellent communication skills. I never felt pressured to buy anything and he never expressed any frustration. He always kept calm. I would highly recommend Jon. He is a great asset and representative of your company.
