Excellent customer service representative answered all my questions on our initial call and did not pester me with follow-up sales calls. I had not heard of National General until a major health care provider in our area recommended them as an option for a one-month lapse in coverage after our COBRA policy ended. I wish I had known earlier, because National General s rate for my wife and I (age 61 and 59) was over half the COBRA price for the same network of doctors and hospitals.
