I like to give a overwhelming thank you to Mr Kirby Collins he saw fit that I got into the same car that I brought into Hyundai velociter a 2020 I brought in a 2012 Hyundai velociter I like to give thanks to the finance department Patrick Rushing I also like to give thanks to a Jason they all was very kind and courteous I felt like I known each and every one of them all their lives I would recommend Vandergriff Hyundai to all my family and friends I will also buy all my future cars from Vandergriff Hyundai. All three of these gentlemen. Was a God-Sent.

Great dealership. I specifically went here after checking out other places. My main concern was finding a place that I felt comfortable with and Vandergriff did that in spades. I had recently suffered a total loss with my old car so I was in a time crunch to find something new. However, I wanted to still feel like I didn t needed to rush picking out the right vehicle with the right financing. Patrick was amazing, patient, and kind while I looked at a few options and narrowed down my selection. Buying a car is stressful but I really feel like Vandergriff tried to understand my situation and strives to make sure I felt comfortable at all times.

Wouldn't recommend this dealership at all. I kept insisting for online price and they wouldn't give it to me. They applied a dealer prep fee, wax fee, gps find my car fee, and waterproof my seats fee which in the end it came out to be around 4k more! I was there for 4 hours trying to get all these fees taking away! Do not fall in for these unnecessary fees people! I really like the vehicle I bought so I ended up buying it for 400$ more than online price. BUT they lost a customer and hopefully PEOPLE who read this review don't go THEIR to BUY!

Don't bother, held my wife and I hostage by withholding our keys for an appraisal, and trying to sells us an SUV we didn't want. Never have I ever been treated with this much disrespect at a car dealership. Literally had to threaten to call the cops to get my keys back.

Horrible customer service! Purchased a new vehicle with another dealership and enjoyed my experience after leaving such poor quality customer care at Vandergriff. Would never recommend anyone going to Vandergriff Hyundai!!

My 2013 Sonata had its engine lock due to a recall...

My 2013 Sonata had its engine lock due to a recall issue. It locked while on my way to work and if had locked 2-5 minutes earlier I would have been on the highway or coming off the highway trying to merge into 3 lanes of morning traffic. They took almost 1 week to just run the diagnostics, car arrived 1/17 and I had to call back multiple times to get updates and was finally told on 1/23 that it was "confirmed" a recall issue. I left my number the first time I called with Corporate and the dealership on the 17th. Yet somehow they kept calling the previous owner even after I called back 2 more times during the week. When I go pick up the rental they then start to use predatory tactics of adding on additional repairs. "You don't want to have any old crud in the system do you?" " You don't want to have to do this later do you?" I was having to service my car due to a recall issue and yet they found ways to add on and push for more. I was sent a URL with some information but did not get the full readout by the dealership until only after I paid. I went ahead with the services as I did not want to run into another issue down the line due to a Hyundai recall issue. Im sure I will get the, " This is not covered under this recall" or "This was additional work that should be done based on what we saw" However, why was I at the dealership? For a service or for a recall that endangered me? Hyundai corporate ultimately said that it was my problem to deal with the dealership.

Keith in the service department was excellent and his customer service skills were more than on point. They broke a record today! Never in my life have I seen an approval happen in 90 minutes! We walked in at 10:30 and were approved at 12. Thanks to our salesman, (ask for Chris) and a manager (ask for Hector), and another young man (forgot his name), they got my college son (who has worked since 16) who was turned down at Clay Cooley Kia, into a very nice limited edition Hyundai Elantra with NO CO-signer! I did not have to co-sign as other dealerships tried to force me to. Chris was the coolest, calmest, most laid back salesman I have ever seen. My family has always gone to one of the Vandergriff dealerships in Arlington, and now I am reminded why. I will be back this fall for my own new car.

I was truly impressed with the personal service provided to me by Fernando. I moved here 6 years ago and always went to Hyundai s Autonation at 820 Loop. This is the first time I had a problem with my car and needed a tow. I called them and was supposed to get a call back from the Manager there to no avail. I still haven t heard from them and now my car is fixed. I can t tell you how amazing everyone at Vandergriff went above and beyond. I will continue to use their services until I move away from here. Thank you all, especially Fernando for the best and easiest handling of my issue.

Just bought 2 vehicles from here with extra warranties... and in 6 months our truck has had a ton of problems and somehow every part that breaks down just happens to not be covered...has been a terrible experience here. Do not buy a used vehicle here, they do patch work and you vehicals will break down

Once we got there no one came to greet us nor cared we came in . we sat for like 20 minutes until my husband Got up to ask for help. Carlos attended us, He was rude and was upset that we kept asking questions. My husband was asking for prices and estimates but we felt very uncomfortable with the service, is like he didn t cared to help. It was not a pleasant visit there. He tried to overcharge us by adding unnecessary accessories worth $5000 and once I asked for him to remove, he did not accept and he played with numbers, focused on my monthly payment and tried to convince us on such a higher price. Also he did not add our Costco deal to the last price. Do not go there even if you think they offer the lowest price for the car you like! Also cars have issues but they do not tell you, we (as an engineer and a therapist) asked a few questions about issues, they do not comment on the problems and seem fishy!

Service Rep Allen was good & kept me informed. But he rec Trans flush & replace plugs. I requested quote to budget for future visit & not mentioned in paperwork i recd. And not sure all the checked Multi-point insp $49.95 value which was free was done as indicated. I know left rear Brake light not working, my wife followed me to Service Dept & called me to let me know. And i noticed as i was checking in Wife's Sonata the Reg expired 2/2020. They were both checked as "Passed". Makes you wonder then if they really checked all of the fifty or so Tasks as indicated. Loss of some Trust & Integrity. Tom B

We had dealt with several other dealerships that lied to us so we were a bit wary about how we would be treated but Hector was very helpful and honest throughout the entire process. We love our new Hyundai Elantra and are very thankful we found this dealership and had such a great sales representative!

This dealership was probably the worst experience ...

This dealership was probably the worst experience I have had buying cars. Ive sold cars before and I let them know this.
So I drove about two hours to get here interested in a used car I was looking at and already spoke to the salesman about the price I saw online. He told me it would not change.

When I get there they tell me theres about $2,500 worth of add ons about to be done to this car - kind of like a tracking system, GPS and all that - I said I don't care about all of that - I want the car for the price you had online. Then they tell me it was going to be a CPO, and they have only had it on the lot less than a week.

Its not my problem, its been there and is already online advertised at a lower price than what youre telling me. I go into finance after telling the salesman where the car needs to be at and he agrees.
I tell finance manager I am using my own Credit Union and to not shop around, he STILL pulled my credit on two banks to see if they could beat it (and finance in house, probably hold a point or 2 on me) so I now have 2 hard inquiries ( Wells Fargo and Capital One) after I explained to NOT my credit. Banks cant beat Credit Unions, typically.

Anyway- after all of that they could not get my car payment to where I wanted it and tried to charge me a 5-6% interest rate.

I left - the salesman then texts and calls me telling me they finally got it where I wanted it after some back and forth (why couldn't you do it the FIRST time?)

I bought the same exact car elsewhere, package and trim all the same except for maybe 10k miles more for less than 5% interest rate.

Terrible experience overall and would not recommend. They kept me there for almost 45 minutes longer than normal going back and forward over the car price, interest rates and payments.

As previously shared, we stopped by Vandergriff Hyundai to see what was available, more for comparison than anything else. After a pleasant and helpful experience with Lou, who listened and made some suggestions about vehicles that might meet our needs, we quickly made the decision to buy a Hyundai. Frankly, this was a surprise to me, as I had been a loyal purchaser of another make of car for more years than I can remember. Overall, this was one of the easiest car purchasing experiences I have had, and the support post-purchase has been excellent.

From the minute we walked into this dealership, we felt comfortable. We were not assailed, but were approached respectfully. Our sales rep, Jason W., did an incredible job of explaining the car and all the features. He went out of his way to make sure we understood all the features. He didn't harass us, but let us make up our minds. We were looking a 3 different at different dealerships. When it came time to make the deal, he and his manager worked with us to provide a really good deal. We are totally satisfied with the car and with this dealership. Jason gets 5 stars from us!!!

I was so excited to be getting a new car. I wanted to go through you because this is where I got my last new car.
We had an appointment to come in last Friday. I couldn't wait! Then my father died that morning. When someone called to confirm our appointment, my husband explained that we had a family emergency and would have to reschedule the next week. We thought, well, that's one thing taken care of for now. We were wrong. We got another call that evening wanting to know if we wanted to reschedule! We got no fewer than 5 calls while we were trying to make arrangements for my father!!! The insensitivity those people showed just boggles my mind!!
Every person who called after that initial call on Friday should be deeply ashamed of themselves!
I have tried 3 times, privately, to discuss this situation with someone at the dealership. No response.

My new car has been with them for over two months now for fairly minor issues and only communication is when I contact them and I usually have to go up there to get anything done. So many issues in this dealership, not willing to address them. You will regret buying here. Don't do it.

This is one of the worst dealerships I have ever been to, they have a sticker price on a vehicle clearly posted and then when the salesman brings his sales price paperwork it has a MARKUP of $7499.00 added on to the price of the vehicle and their explanation was that they were dealer addons that still were not even on the vehicle without even asking if we wanted the addons, This vehicle had just arrived on the truck and the manager named Jason tried to explain what the addons were, first wheel locks and window tint then he says oh and it s burgundy and it s a premium vehicle, Really we were never even asked if we wanted that in the first place, overall he said well what if I bring the $7499.00 down to maybe $6000.00
My opinion is any addons and anything else should be clearly marked on the website instead of FALSE ADVERTISING. I really hope the owner reads the reviews because he should know that the people he has in charge are willing to let a $50K sale walk right out the door. We will definitely be taking our business somewhere else that provides transparency during the entire process.

Beware. I test drove a Sonata this morning and experienced the highest of high pressure sales. Their tactics were both unprofessional and rude. After being quoted a price, I told one of the sales managers that I needed a day to think about it. I don't think that's an unreasonable request. He told me the price was for today only. Then he called in his boss, Michael Mullens, and he proceeded to lose his cool when I told him the same thing. You never raise your voice to a customer, and you don't walk away when you don't get the answer you want. The crazy thing is, I probably would have bought the car if they would have given me a day to go over the numbers and do a little research on the car. Oh well, there's always Patterson Kia across the Street.

Overall a positive experience regarding our car buying experience at Vandergriff. Alex, the internet sales person, was very helpful and responsive. He did everything possible to minimize our time at the dealership which was very important to us. Additionally, we also received a slightly better financing rate than was originally promised.

The only reasons we did not rank our experience with five stars:

1. There were still a lot of back-and-forth negotiating via text message, and, although this didn t take place at the dealership, it still was a little unpleasant.
2. When we arrived to sign the paperwork and pick up the car we noticed there was a nail or bolt in the passenger rear tire. We would not have noticed this if we hadn t opted to go ahead and take a short test drive while the final paperwork was being processed. This car was for my young daughter and I fear if we would ve just picked it up and left she might ve ended up with a blowout. Good lesson learned though. I believe we were at the dealership for a total of 60 - 90 minutes at never sat waiting for more than 5 - 10 min.
3. When we finalized the financing there were, of course, some up selling attempts to get us to buy the extended warranty and maintenance package. However after we declined the second time there was no further pressure to buy the package and we actually received a slightly better interest rate.

In summary, it s unlikely we would have come to an agreement if it were not for Alex and his approach.

I am so disappointed. I was lured out to this dealership because I was given such a "great deal," when in reality it was a used car. They did not disclose that this car was a loaner, and Kade says that they add miles to it to "lower the cost." I was told by Audrie that I could pick from 3 models, but when I got there, I could only take the one with the most miles, of course. Additionally, all tires had low pressure!!! That is so terrible for the wheels, axels, alignment, etc. and who knows how long the manager was driving it with low pressure, for all I know he/she could have been driving it with low pressure for 3,000 out of the 4,000 miles that are on the car. It's one thing not to disclose this information, but it is outright deceitful to tell someone they are getting a new car, when in reality, it is not new. Make sure you check the miles on your "new" car. I am so glad I chose not to sit through financing, I can't imagine how bad the fine print must be. That's 2.5 hours of my time and my boyfriend's time that was a complete and utter waste, not to mention driving 60 miles in the rain. I will NOT be buying from this dealership, and I will make sure that no friends and family are serviced by this dealership. It really is too bad, because I did used to take my car here for service and maintenance since moving to DFW.

We drove 1.5 hours to come to this dealership! It was worth it. We bought 6 cars for our family so far and this one was by far the best car buying experience... I talked with Ms. Olivia and Chris over phone earlier today, they gave me a final price. By the time we reached to the dealership Ms. Olivia and Chris had alreay left. So we're greeted there by the 'young-gun' Ezekielle ! He was very co-operative and gentle. He helped us to pick the color and then we went through finance and done in less then 2 hours. . ! We actually talked with 'Eze' for about 30mins before leaving the dealership! Great experience. Go Eze, Olivia and Chris. . ! Thanks guys.

Saw a 2017 hybrid sonata limited listed online for...

Saw a 2017 hybrid sonata limited listed online for a good price. Drive the hour down to see it and test drive it. Worked w Jared who was helpful and fairly efficiently had them evaluate my current car for trade in. In the meantime drove the car whichwas as described and I m ready to purchase. The price was good enough that I thought the endless negotiations would be avoided as the price was fair. But ... of course not. Suddenly the car that was listed at $17891 came out to $22000+ out the door. How the ???? TT&L is approx $1150. Even with other taxes and (garbage) doc fee should have been $19350. The rest? an app service to recover stolen vehicle, an protectant, $500 tint (that was on the car when they acquired it), and interior fabric protection (it had leather). And the kicker - a $1795 Dealer reconditioning fee. $3500 in adds, most of which every consumer review will tell you has minimal value at best. In any event, they would only reduce it to $600. Despite all their insistences, no where in fine print or otherwise when looking through their site on my phone does the * include dealer adds (later found it on the website on pc - but still not there through mobile site.) It was a bogus and all too typical up charge and just a different version of bait and switch. Never in my lifetime of buying cars have I had a dealership not honor the ADVERTISED price plus the listed doc fee, taxes, and TT&L. The fact that they NEVER INTENDED to sell it at the price they advertised is enough for me to not have any interest in going back. 3.5 hrs of my life wasted on a deceitful practice.
UPDATE - once this review was posted, the General Sales Mgr Mike Oatman contacted me. He was cordial, polite, and apologetic. He also so generously offered to honor the advertised price on the website, but nothing better or in addition. While appreciated, the fact is, it only happened after I posted a review. A special offer that is the original offer isn t really so special. I ve since bought a car at Huffines Subaru Corinth. Much more positive experience.

Walking out the dealership I thought I had a wonderful experience purchasing. Coming to find out finance had made me sign for a warranty of over 2k, without my consent... Vandergriff is a well known dealership and it's scary how shady their finance is... I am in great disbelief how they can screw a consumer in that manner... What type of unethical "finance managers" would sell a warranty of over 2k without letting the customer know?? I have talked to the "Finance Director" and pending a reimbursement... Yet that doesn't take away the bitterness...

The service center ALWAYS over charges. Last time I came for a battery change and left spending $900. This morning I drove all of the way from fort worth for them to check out my air bag light, for them to tell me that it's $150, just to "look and see what's going on". Wish that I would have known that when I called and made the appointment because I wouldn't have made the drive.

My family bought a car here and all was well, until you need any sort of help with the service of the car, then you are better off not having the car at all. Have been dealing with them for over a week on fixing our car that was BRAND NEW because the A/C went out, apparently it is a big recall, which they don t care to tell you about. They didnt carry the part so they needed to order one (no big deal) but once we left the dealer, no one bothers to contact you for updates or service information. Fast forward to the day they said it could be fixed, they still have no part and dont seem to care that it isnt being fixed. Leaving today without the new car we bought, the car is still not fixed, and they say it would be about a week. So in total we would not have access to our NEW car for about 2 weeks. It wouldnt be so bad if the communication was much better, or if they acted like they cared to fix our car. If i knew what i know today, i would have went to a different place all together for a car.

Terrific Experience! Thanks Patrick in Internet sales!!! I went and was very uneasy because I had just left a dealership that had tried to get me to sign for a car that is definitely not what was discussed. After making a deal with sales person I was approached by sales manager to inform me that they had made a mistake when they told me my car was certified. They said that would cost $400 more. I nicely let them off the hook and just declined the certified status. A little later after still waiting to get in to finish the final paperwork I was approached again and told that the second key I was promised was also not in the deal. When I was finally asked to sign the sales contract I noticed the bottom line was more than agreed to. I got up and walked out. Better read all paperwork carefully before signing at Vandergriff Hyundai!
