One of the nicest airports in the entire world. Gotta be honest of that. Lots of seating and shops and outlets to plug your gadgets in. But. DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO COLD?!?? Please turn down the AC. It is literally like the arctic in all the terminals.

My favourite Canadian airport. Well-designed with lots of interesting and eye-catching First Nations motifs. Excellent connections via public transit to Downtown Vancouver and surrounding areas.

As soon as you land you notice you re in Canada: everything is clean and well taken care of. Interesting exhibit show artifacts of the local culture. Customs staff is extremely nice. Even the landscape outside the terminal is relaxing and beautiful. Plus, it is so well organized that I was able to take my plane getting there only 45 minutes before departure (but don t try it on purpose haha).

Vancouver airport is spacious, clean and quiet. The food courts offer a wide variety of healthy choices to fried foods and in between. The washrooms are maintained well. The monitors display flight information at all places. The airport is not too big. It was nice to see collection of Mickey Mouse and Pluto and other characters in display.

It's really good looking. Easy to transit in and out. Prominent location with loads of hotels nearby. Well connected inside. Very clean. Helpful employees. Skytrain helps in going to the core city of vancouver. Loved all the totempoles they have inside the building. So many airlines and so many countries to fly from here.

From here return to Narita via Seattle. There is a terminal for flights to the United States, where immigration procedures (in the United States) are performed. In other words, there is no need for immigration in the United States. For the second and subsequent ESTA, you can easily do it with the familiar kiosk.
After completing the immigration procedures, enjoy shopping until boarding!

This airport is really amazing and classy at the same time. I had to catch an international flight and my experience was really smooth.
The airport is having automated scanning systems by which you can check in without getting in the queue.

I lost my luggage there in a very short moment of distraction (still wondering how it happened) and got it back in almost nothing... Very quick and kind attention from the airport staff and the environment is pretty safe and relaxing....

Considering Covid, the airport was basically a ghost town (which was nice). The staff seemed more relaxed and not so tense. You have to find bathrooms that are open as most are closed. Most eating / drinking places were also closed so you have to go for a walk to find some that are open but they are there. Masks are mandatory but I was a little puzzled that no one was cleaning the tables and seats after people used them. There is no point in masks if staff doesn't clean frequently used areas.

A very friendly and efficient airport; US customs has an entry point there, so that you enter the US while still in Canada. Great public transportation with the train to downtown Vancouver.

I find that the airports normally reflect the spirit of the city. This airport could not be any further from what Vancouver is all about, and does not embody anyone of the extoridnary things Vancouver represents.

I should clarify my comment is about architect of the airport. Staff are friendly and courteous as one can expect any Canadian to be.

I like the place. There's a very nice 2 level aquarium tank for both arrivals and departures to look at. Departures is nicer than arrivals. The whole dark green vibe with low ceilings is kind of a depressing and serious mood. I like the whole river display in the international display though. I wish it was more colorful or something since it is the very first thing tourist see of Vancouver. Maybe more pictures or light. The customs guards are very nice and chill, would for sure get checked by them again. They really need to make the water and stuff cheaper. I like this airport, it's alright.

This is a good airport. You do boarding crossing to the USA in the airport so you do not have any delays when you fly into USA. The Canadian security is top notch. They don't have intrusive body scanner. They are very kind and I still feel very safe going through the airport.

Beautiful airport! So much to see on the walk to customs. Very easy process and lots of available kiosks even with it being very busy. We walked out of arrivals and crossed the street to hop on the train into the city. A trip into downtown Vancouver is 2 zone fare and there is an additional fee going into the city cash and cards accepted at the train kiosk. It was about a 30 min train ride to the Yaletown stop.

This airport is one of my favourite with the one concourse concept, both arriving and departing was a breeze. The signage is easily read to direct you to where you need to go. Baggage Claim was well organized and then took the elevator to Level 4 to catch the train from the airport to Downtown in 25 minutes.

Departing from YVR is an easy and enjoyable experience from the signage to the friendly check in agent (who work for the airline you're traveling with, in my case Air Canada) security is quick and professional, they do however do extra security measures here (electronic devices are swabbed for traces of explosives, mostly people traveling individually), bonus part is you can skip the security line as they pull you into the beginning of the security area. Quick and professional.

Had extra time before my boarding time. (I thought it would take longer. I had over 1.5 hours before boarding even began, I don't think the arriving flight, that would become my plane even arrived yet.) so I sat down got some food to eat, and a drink and did some work with the free WiFi everywhere in the terminal

I love this airport and enjoy traveling in and out of YVR

The best airport I have ever visited. Huge, modern, clean, with all kinds of facilities. There is room to judge the children, even a huge aquarium. Very attentive staff. From the center with the very fast train. A pleasure to travel and rest at this airport.

The procedures were clear and simple, and the indications of those in charge were sufficient. The area where the declaration is carried out is technologized to streamline the processes, so that whole international flights are advancing rapidly, in addition, the migration port agents were friendly. It is easy to locate the different luggage claim lines according to the flights. There are souvenir and food stores on the ground floor.

It s after midnight. There are at least 1,000 people are waiting to get on their flights. Guess what, most of the wash rooms are closed. You have 2 choices: stay in the line for 20 minutes to get into the family washroom or walk 10 minutes to a full open wash room...I don t even want to talk about the condition of the washroom...

Airport with many bathrooms, good cleaning and amenities. Many shops and fast food stands, some are 24 hours.
Tip: There are maps of the place. If you have several hours of waiting for your flight I recommend the upper floors where there are benches to sleep. To eat this Tim Hortons 24hs, it is low cost food (menus of 8 Canadian dollars) it is rich and in comparison very cheap, Canada itself is quite expensive.
-Vital data: do not miss with the change of schedule.
-Vital data 2: here you speak only English or French (strive).
-Contra: I did not see a place of rest for the travelers.

As airports go YVR is clean and we'll organized. Even with my priority Avion pass security for domestic flight took a very long time not because there were people ahead of me or anything the security team had absolutely no hustle to be expected I guess?

Nice clean modern airport with lots of cool Native American artwork throughout.

Beautiful sculptures and totem poles really add to the aesthetic. Food wise it leaves a bit to be desired, but there is a Wendy s open 24/7 near the International Departure gates.

Security is usually pretty quick and painless, and other staff is usually friendly.

YVR is easily accessible from Downtown Vancouver via the Canada Line skytrain Station. It only takes 26 min from Waterfront station to the airport. You really can t beat that.

Completely ignorant on how to handle transport of baby car seats. We were demanded to go to the oversized baggage scan area where we waited for 30 min in line until being told that carseats are not an oversized baggage when we arrived at the front of the line. Furthermore, prior to this incidence,we were told we had to go to the checkin counter for car seat tags. We have had no problems with child seats in other airports. Lastly, you have to wait hours in line for checkin because of inefficiencies of the airport. This is unlike other major airports we've gone to in the past. This airport needs major improvement and education .

Super empty at the moment. Note that the location for the gates has changed. Departure gate (c&d) for international is more towards the pre-covid domestic gate now. Parking also has changed. Please remember your level when you exit, we didn't and it took a while... Instead of being funnel to the parking level as before, you will be parked instead at the " arrival" level.
