Van der Valk Hotel Schiphol A4 Review

In advance I was very skeptical about the location (motorway, airport, etc.), but we had 2 huge I'am rooms in the rear, newer part of the hotel and they were just great. Soundproof windows, large, bright, the view of the green in the morning ... we have traveled a lot, but these rooms were really great.

Reception was very friendly.

Breakfast was also really great and extensive (pancake, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, all fruit open such as melon, pineapple grapes etc. and in the bowl, good sausage selection and and and)

The shuttle service to the airport is totally worth it and is super organized and problem-free (from there you can get to Amsterdam easily and affordably, but we found it really expensive to DenHaag)

The area behind the hotel is very well designed, you could even run to animals with the children, there is a fitness area and rabbits running freely ;-) ... a playground would have been great

In the I'am area there is a great lounge area with vending machines with drinks, ice cream and snacks.
In general, the hotel is beautifully designed and one is always amazed.

We went to eat with the children across the bridge and took advantage of the numerous offers ;-)
In the hotel it would have been too expensive for us and in the evenings too slick with the kids :-)

There is a deduction for:
-In fact, the rooms could have been cleaner (often hand dummies, hair ...)
However, I think the cleaning ladies (especially with these huge rooms) were really challenged ... maybe we should think about more staff, because they weren't that friendly (probably a bit frustrated ...)

-In the reception area we often had an impression of how the hotel can be: overcrowded, hectic and loud

-Swimming pool area, especially the water should be kept cleaner, especially when there is a lot going on

So I hope I've considered everything ... I'll try to add a few more pictures

Best, one night each on departure and arrival, that was absolutely the best choice to relax before and after the long flight.

A really great hotel, if you want to explore the small places in the area. The service in the restaurant and at the reception is exemplary. Everything super professional and nice. The breakfast and the food in the restaurant is highly recommended. I'd like to come back.

Ideal for stress-free use of your holiday combination of parking and shuttle bus to the airport

Unfortunately, I was not in this hotel, although I know that in NL they care about the comfort of guests, close to the airport and direct connection to the terminal

Price quality great hotel. Also restaurant ok, bar was not top, although the bitterballen tasted great :)

Very large hotel with an unbelievable crowd. Very nice modern rooms which are clean and tidy. You hardly hear the planes unless you keep the windows closed. Breakfast is rich everything perfect. Friendly staff!

Super hotel in preparation for a flight trip. Super taxi service to Schiphol and if you include parking, an overnight stay is almost free ... For us, almost a tradition. Rooms always neat and tidy.

We wanted to eat something at this hotel restaurant on May 4th.
Were very hospitable by the service and had a delicious meal,
Yet something had gone wrong in the
Kitchen and this was handled very well by the employees.
They also asked for a silence of 2 minutes and we really appreciate that.
That's why you can go here for good food, hospitality and service.
A company that still understands how to treat guests.

Great hotel but the cleaning of the rooms must be more accurate

Stunning hotel, spacious, modern room with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast buffet is gargantuan, impossible not to find happiness. Small flat for space Sos because the hammam was down and the relaxation room without heating during our passage

Large hotel on the A4, just shocked after the queue for us at check-in but that was quickly eliminated here kudos for the reception. Room was super nicely decorated. Nice spacious, modern room with a nice bathroom. We slept well in the nice beds. The food in the restaurant was tasty and affordable and the breakfast was super. Incidentally the breakfast was from 5 am to 11 am. In short it was enjoyment at this hotel.

Pretty good, n the room is big enough, but it's too bad, there's only 1 elevator in this hotel, n the room decoration is too old for my style. The breakfast in this hotel is superb, the only hotel in europe that i visited, that serve a carbonated drink for breakfast

A dream location with everything for a relaxing and happy stay.

This is a very big and lovely hotel, very busy and close to the airport with free of charge shuttle bus to the airport. The breakfast was an excellent one, the service was super. Here is very nice for weekend relaxation with sauna, fitness studio but a small swimming pool.we had great time there .free wifi and parking . I recommend it

Price-quality ratio is just bad. Most expensive rooms do not have a bathtub. The whole room is lit when someone goes next to the toilet. Worthless!

Don't let the outside fool you. A completely different place on the inside. Spacious room and bathroom.

To be honest; only the room is decent. The restaurant is not that good, just average food with too high prices in my opinion .. for what you get in return for your money.. the surroundings, the restaurant and the reception don't match in style, if you like a modern hotel then you shouldn't come here ..
This is just my opinion, but my girlfriend and I are definetely not coming back here for sure .

Nice spacious and quiet room. Delicious extensive breakfast buffet. Shuttle bus will take you to Schiphol in 10 minutes.

They dont even have slippers in the room, reception personnel are not willing to help.

Full hotel with very comfortable meeting rooms, ideal for business meetings, there is a free shuttle bus to the airport and from there you can take the train to Amsterdam.

Very nice hotel, we stayed at the new part where the rooms are very nice. An open bathroom with closed rainshower and toilet compartment with sliding doors. Rooms are clean and personel is very friendly. Breakfast is very comprehensive! With a lot of choice of eggs, pancakes bread, patato etc. Free parking during your stay and a free shuttle from the hotel to Schiphol Airport and vv. Very easy when you are flying early from Schiphol or just want to visit Amsterdam. We will certainly visit this hotel again.
