Universal Studios Orlando Review

Magic is real, y'all. Diagon Alley at Universal was the most incredible, magical experience. My neice loved it. No detail is left out. Visit Grimmauld Place, King's Cross, Wesley's Wizard Wheezes, Eyelops, Ollivanders, Flourish & Blotts, The Leaky Cauldron, and even the dark and twisted Knockturn Alley. If you love Harry Potter, you MUST go here. Even things around that -- the Transformers ride, the picture studios experiences, the MIB ride, the Minions ride, everything -- was an insane adventure that blew my mind. A+ will go again and again and again!

Celebrating my kids Birthday and walking 5 miles through Universal studios at 6 months pregnant great walking and great for kids. Looking forward to go again

Covid happened and I cancelled my trip. Have called numerous times for my refund and even spoke to a supervisor. Won't be seeing it till they feel ready after 6 weeks, maybe in 10 days maybe in 7. Up to them. Don't book unless you are a multimillionaire and can afford to lose a couple grand.

Our family had so much fun during our visit. It's just so, so, so hot and not alot of shaded areas unfortunately but we still had a good time. Transformers, the mummy and the minions ride were our faves. We enjoyed the parade as well as the water and fireworks shows. Oh ya and the Express passes are so worth it!!!

It takes more than a day to cover this park. We took our time, and because we went on a not very busy day, waiting times for attractions were not.long,maximum about 20 minutes. The Harry Potter area was definitely the busiest, but you should go there, even if you are not a Potter fan.

Great resort park. Lots of things to do for older kids and adults. Everything seems "fresher" and more up-to-date than Disney, and the Harry Potter attractions are outstanding. I also love the wide variety of restaurants and night entertainment just outside the entrance at CityWalk. If I had to pick only one resort to visit and/or stay at in Orlando, I'd pick Universal.

Absolutely the most amazing and incredibly awesome place to visit! So much to do, so many rides, all with the theme of a movie, show, book, fairytale, you name it! It's such a super experience and will keep you excited and absolutely astounded the entire time. I can't think of any better place to take the family for the best time ever!

We had a great time! I expected rides to be better and the ONLY one that looked like a exciting ride was closed down do to rain. Oh I didn't like one grown up dirty joke that was said at one of the shows because my kids were present. Definitely recommend visiting

Horrible experience. Over safe capacity. Most rides closed by 1 pm. Closed at 5 pm. Wait times in the afternoon over 2 hours. Not worth it at all.

I don't like amusement parks... but I LOVED staying at Universal. It was so much fun. 80% of the rides are simulators and I look forward to seeing what simulation Universal cooks up next!

There are really no words to say about this place. You want to have a good time? Universal Studios is a great place for that. Look up Orlando Informer Meetup; worth every penny to experience that.

It's been amazing they are sanitizing all things rights after use bathrooms are super clean they make u sanitize right before I ride any ride and order food on the app

Made our first visit on 6/18/2020 and we were impressed. Park is doing an amazing job with social distancing and mask usage. Staff seems well informed and trained. Cleaning staff and hand sanitizer is EVERYWHERE. Add to that great rides and food. Highly recommend and will be back.

We always love our time at Universal. This time we got to take grandma and grandpa along! It truly is fun for all ages.

Clean, friendly, amazing atmosphere. Just lines are almost always very long forcing you to do multiple days or pay hundreds of dollars for express

It's heaven. The rides are awesome. CityWalk has any food you can imagine. There is non-stop entertainment. Universal is amazing. I've been there many, many times and always find something new.

I always come here to enjoy the vibes it s different and live with all those people from around the world. Would definitely come back again

Kids like it, just that during the week they give you very little time to spend at the park on Island of Adventure, it's ok that they limit the attendance, they do a good job keeping social distancing, Hand sanitizer is available, and I believe that parks are at half capacity, so lines are short. A typical 120 minute line is 15 minutes (during a week day).

Universal Studios Florida has always been a family favorite and I expect it will always be. It's been a blast to watch my 3 sons grow and enjoy more of each park with each visit. And staying on site at the Lowes Portofino Hotel the last 2 adventures has made the fun even more convenient. As far as cost for the entire vacation, it is worth saving the money to go, consider those savings for great family memories. Just dont tell my wife the beer was nine dollars.

This was an amazing place to take the family. Enjoyed every ride and attraction they had. A must see in Orlando!

Sanitation and distancing procedures are good. Animal show is a little different which is nice, and you can tell everyone is excited to be back to work. Can't wait until the curfew is over so that Citywalk can be open later. Everything closes at 7pm for now. The theme parks should look into developing face covering policies or new face mask ideas that are cooler (ex. Using face shields). Even when its overcast and rainy, the masks are quite hot. Maybe even a quick dry fabric what can be refrigerated before use or can use those chemical cooling inserts.

At universal right now having a blast. The staff are really tight on having a mask on at all times on the park and making sure thay your hands are sanitary at the beginning and at the end of rides!

Harry Potter and The Simpsons in one place? That's a win-win from me. The rides were fantastic and the use of the videos or 3d or whatever you call it is extremely impressive. Many characters roaming around to take pictures with and there is also a cool shopping area to wander around with restaurants. Definitely want to come again.

Had an amazing time in universal with the wife and daughter, the rides are fantastic but the wait times can get tedious, the harry potter world is amazing, the Simpsons world and all the simulators especially fast and the furious, we came from the other park on the Hogwarts Express which is a must do, the staff are amazing and friendly and the park and toilets spotless, lots to friend eat, my only moan was ignorant people pushing in queues like the night bus outside diagon alley but the staff do try their best to stop this, all in all a great day.

You guys!!!! I am from Miami, Florida and if I can go on a vacation I always pick Orlando. These two parks are my all time favorite! I came this weekend to do a mini getaway during this terrible epidemic. Let me just say!!! If you are thinking of going, go! This is the best time to go. The wait lines are so low. We got to the park by 8:45 and finished the whole park by 4:15 PM. The lines were almost all under 10 minutes. We only waited 20 for the new show of Bourne stunt and cause it's a show. And let me just say this, the customer service was top notch, the level of concern not only for there guest but there employees was also top notch. They were constantly clean the rides, the rails, everything. They provided hand sanitizer to every ride and restaurants. I mean everywhere you look someone was cleaning. It was a great experience. Everyone had there masks on and followed social distancing. Thank you guys!! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to make sure everyone is safe and stay safe. And to top off this wonderful trip that lady at the box office convinced us to get seasonal pass holders. And me and my hubby are very happy and excited to come back many more times this year.

**Update. We went for our 2nd visit. Purchased the express passes and it made a world of difference. Definitely worth the price in my opinion.

1st visit. Had fun. didn't get a chance to ride Hollywood Rip Tide Rockit. Tried 5 to 6 times. Lines too long. Stood in line once for over an hour. Ended up getting out of line. They need bathrooms by some of the rides. If you have to stand in line for 1.5 hours they should have bathrooms in the line waiting areas. Especially for people with small children. Several others had to leave the line after an hour to go to the bathroom and they were halfway to the ride even after all that time.

Always have a great time at this Theme Park....being a family of Harry Potter fans helps....brilliant rides, fun times and fond memories!

Fun but outdated in many areas. Harry Potter World is for sure the best part.

Really nice... When you don't have to pay for it... I was lucky enough to be there for free for a private event. Really nice, although I would never spend hundreds of dollars to go there with my family.

Hate that most of my favorite rides like king Kong,ET and spider man was in another park, people can't get a lot our of their money here from the cost of the park and not many rides in just this one park. Why did they ever make two -four theme parks and take all the best ones out of the number number theme park that people like? (Unversal studios ) I will not be back to fla for any theme parks waste of my time and money not getting an enjoyment our of it.put it back where you can ride all . I will bot be making a trio back

My first time going was this week, during the COVID-19 pandemic. I feel like Universal absolutely nailed it! I felt very safe. Each ride provided you with hand sanitizer before bording, the lines were well thought out, and the wait times were low. A couple of the staff members seemed "stressed", but I actually don't hold it against them because of the circumstances that we are all going through. I loved that they offered a mask free zone too. Will definitely be returning!

Loved it! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter alone was worth the trip. The rides were all fabulous. There were things for people of all ages to do. Souvenirs and food are a bit pricey, but on par with what you'd find at other theme parks. Lots of fun and worth the trip!

Enjoyed all the rides. This place is amazing. I went there alone, but there's an advantage, I was able to go to the single rider line

We went for the Halloween horror nights. It was my husband's first time and one of many for myself. We had a BLAST!!! If u love scary clean fun, this is the place for u. The haunted houses were amazing. We went in stranger things and us. If you've watched the movie or the series u will be blown away at how realistic. Cant give away the fun, but do go. Worth every penny

Virtual lines are a joke. Drove all the way to universal and couldn't ride the rides you want. Waste of time and money.

Wow!!

Universal has always been such a special place for me.

I m from Scotland, and the last time we went abroad was 13 years ago, when I was 6 years old, in 2006, and that was to Florida. We went to Universal, and have only dreamed about going back.
However, I never once though that would be reality.

This week, after a years worth of waiting, we finally return.

For 2 days we explored both parks, and had the time of our lives!

All the rides were SUPERB.

I LOVE all the themes, which they all relate to what I enjoy.

Still can t believe I ve came back after all these years.

If you happen to be wandering which to go to, Disney or Universal. Trust me, choose Universal. Disney doesn t even compare!

Worth every penny!!

Waited 4 hours in the rain waiting to get my tickets from the Kiosk because of the system down. I got so sick I could only go one day, Cost $753.00 only got 5 hours of park time.
Universal wouldn't do a thing, They wanted to give me another ticket. I just want my money back for the days I could not go because of getting sick.
Busch Gardens is much better.

Great day out. Loved the parade. The Jimmy Fallon Race New York is a must.

The more adult place to go in Orlando. CityWalk has lots of bars and restaurants, each with their own distinct atmosphere. The park has 2 different sides, each with its own flavor. While it won't take a week to see everything, I've spent two full days exploring and enjoying the Harry Potter areas. I spent another day going on all of the roller coasters, and another day walking around and checking out the other rides. There's lots a fun for everyone, but the older kids and adults will benefit the most.

For the love of God, don't get the tacos from the Simpsons part of universal. This probably is self evident to most folks, I made a mistake. Everything else was a blast.

Good family fun. Great place to go if you don't want the long wait like Disney for rides.

I absolutely had a great time at universal studios riding fun rides with my friends and family! The place is very well organized and well ran. This place is perfect for kids and very fun!!! But I do have a few complaints. First, my friend and I wanted to go on this ride but apparently it was only available for a certain height even though we re both kids. It doesn t make any sense how an adult can ride it with a young child but two tallish young tweens can t ride it? But also I think universal is a bit overpriced, if you want to buy food there it is overly expensive. But overall I had a great experience and definitely would come back again for more fun!

Great thrill rides, and they are making sure everyone is practicing mask wearing and social distancing guidelines. I could do theme parks this way. Less people, more rides. We rode everything we wanted to...and then some.

Great rides, photo opportunities everywhere, but quite pricey

universal studios did not let us know that if you are a big person you cant ride most of the rides. they do no have a row with big seats for you. i am sorry that is a discrimination right there. not all of us are skinny. they did not let us know at the ticket booth so we wasted 200.00 on ticket because my son could not fit in the seats. also no clear signs on where to get to the new rides. the park was confusing getting around and no workers to ask for help. It is hard to get into the Harry Potter part did not know you had to get through the little wall opening. watch out for snakes in the flowers almost got bit by one sitting on a bench by flowers. If your a big person don't go because you will be embarrased that you cant ride.

I went to universal for the first time in 9 months and all of it is great except one small nitpick about forbidden journey how did you make my 15 year old sister scream on that ride.

We had an amazing time here! I loved the Transformers 3D ride! There was so much to do and see we left with more to see on another visit.

We had a great day here. Our mistake was getting the two park pass as Universal has more then enough todo and the rides where so much better then island of adventure.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE HARRY POTTER WORLD!!! The rides are so thrilling and the wait times weren t bad. We felt like we were in a movie when going to HP world! Our experience was fantastic and we cannot wait to come back. I wish they had this where I lived. It was worth traveling to and experiencing this theme park. I m a huge Harry Potter buff and this literally made me cry when I entered into this extravagant world!

Way over priced. You can only get Into one park unless you pay more. I didn't feel there was a lot of options and we wanted to see Harry Potter but they were in two different parks. Also closing at 5pm is ridiculous. Doesn't Leave you anytime except stand in lines

Super fun and clean amusement park for people of all ages. If you are a fan of Harry Potter than this is just pure heaven. King Kong, MIB, and Revenge of the Mummy are all great experiences when the Harry Potter line queue gets too long. All of the rides are excellent and the staff is super friendly. Pro tip is spending the extra bucks for the express passes to really enjoy the park.

One of the best theme parks I've ever visited. So much to do. I had so much fun.

Went during covid. Can deff see huge efforts to keep things clean. Was also nice that we didn't have more than a 30 minute wait on most rides!

So much fun! Two days is needed. One for each park! Fast passes are a must! So many rides and entertainment. Always changing and improving. Each time we visit there is something new. Love it!

The rides and attractions are fun. We didn't have to wait too long to get on the rides. We went the week of Halloween with the intention of seeing the parks decked out for Halloween, but were disappointed to find them decorated for Christmas. I would recommend doing a one day park to park ticket as we were able to complete both parks in less than 8 hours.

Great family fun. Food is super expensive. I recommend leaving the park and going to City Walk for meals. It'll cost about the same and you'll have more options.

Loved coming for the Harry Potter parks. Very enjoyable trip.

this is my first visit and I really loved my time at the wizarding world! haven't been to this Orlando location, but many times to Hollywood universal studio, so I have a good comparison in mind. my goal was to see everything but spend most of it at Harry Potter and universal didn't disappoint! it was all good including the meal at the Three Broomsticks. universal really went all out! if you're a fan of Harry Potter and the books, you need to go and check out universal studios!

If you're reading reviews for Universal Studios, I'll save you some time. Stop looking at reviews and go ahead and book your ticket/visit. It's a theme park - there are great rides - yes there can be some long lines when its busy - there is alcohol - there is food - and most of all there is a lot of fun to be had!

My most recent visit was Sep 2020 during COVID season, and there was ample opportunity to stay socially distant with lots of visual cues to remind people to stay away, hand sanitizer, masks on, etc.

It's simply amazing and magical! I was worthy every dime!

Universal with the fam was such a blast! We decided to go here because we thought it would have fun rides for older ppl (ages 50+) and we were right! They loved the different rides and the parade was fun to watch. Make sure you get a spot early at the parade, otherwise your photos will all be zooming in. Also, they close several rides during the parade so try and ride as much as you can earliest possible. Have fun!

Universal is the greatest park on Earth. I bring my kids here every 3 years. We especially love the Harry Potter themes and rides!

Loved the realistic Wizarding World of Harry Potter. and got to enjoy the 2018 Macy's Holiday parade!

Its not 100% Universals fault but it is there managements. As I Annual Passholder I pay a little less to come here but they are making pass holders wait in line for hours on standby to come around and say they will not be letting anyone in. They close at 10pm waited in line from 11am to 3pm to be told they would not have space at all today. Very very disappointing its a 3hr drive to come here and as a annual pass holder this makes the whole park feel worthless

Loved the experience! Plan to get there early and try to utilize the time as soon as the park opens i.e. 9am. They have many hi-tech 3D rides, I am sure you will be astonished by the thrilling moments at each of them.
My favorite and most recommended ones are
1) The revenge of Mummy
2) Harry Potter and the escape from Gringotts
3) Race through NewYork

Incredible park! Rides are great and so are the roller coasters! Hospitality is right on and everyone willing to help! Feels like you walking in a movie!

This was our preferred experience over Disney, by far! The rides were fantastic for both kids and adults, exhilarating. There were far more characters to interact with and see compared to Disney. The blending of retro and modern worlds really works here- there really is something for everyone. Walking and getting from place to place was easy for us with 2 disabled family members and the employees were so kind and accommodating. Pictures everywhere, such a bonus! You really feel at home here and not under pressure. I love the variety in food and snack stands and restaurants, and the prices are very reasonable. This was the best part of our Make-a-wish trip. Skip Disney and enjoy more of Universal!

Lines were long but it was a great time. I recommend getting the "fast pass". Drinks are expensive so if you have a group then buying the refillable mug can be worth it.

So many cool things to see here, but be prepared to be in serious crowds of people! Went to a Blue Man Group show and loved it, but as someone who is not a fan of big crowds it felt great to finally get out of there. Driving in, parking and a long walk in... it was a blast and worth it, but doing it once is enough for me.

My families favorite place! Best theme park in Florida

I am a Florida Resident and travel agent. I will not be attending any of your facilities with being told that I have to wear a mask! It is way to hot in Florida to walk around outside with a mask on. I also would like to share with you that I have spoke with several clients and they advised they would not be attending any facilities either. They are not happy being told to wear a mask instead it being up to our discretion.

The best place we have ever visited, and I'm not kidding, where to start, the parks are simply amazing you never get bored. The rides and attractions are the best in the world from the roller coasters to the 3D rides. Then you have the different areas of the parks from Hogwarts to Dr Seuss it's all so well created and thought out. The staff are always happy and willing to help out with any issues what so ever. We cannot wait to go back. It really spoils you. The restaurants are very reasonably priced and the food is good. A must for any holiday list.

Amazing experience. Only regret is that there's simply no way to see everything in just one day. Harry Potter world was awesomely immersive, and I can't figure out why Universal isn't pairing with ben and jerry's to cash in on butterbeer icecream available nationwide.

Psa for glasses wearers: I lucked up when I caught mine as they flew off my face riding the Hulk; ya'll may want to throw them in the lockers with the rest of your loot when riding it and the rocket coaster.

I went here for my 29th birthday with my wife. We had a great time. We bought a three day park pass. First day scoped the park out and check out a couple of attractions mainly the bars. Second day we bought a flash pass or a skip the line pass. We already had the park scopes out so we literally went from attraction to attraction ride to ride. It was a fun exciting day. We did almost everything. We mainly chose universal studios because of the Harry Potter attractions. But I was also looking forward to the jaws ride I went on when I was a kid. It s not there anymore. Bummer but the E.T. Ride is. It was a great birthday. We will be coming back here for sure.

My husband and I were on vacation and went to Universal studios and couldn't believe that you have to pay separate fees to go the park,$200 a person, and $55.00 more per person to go to Harry Potter theme park. Also, if you have lunch, example: hamburger, fries and a drink it's $18.00. Also, it costs $26.00 to park.
You have to spend your whole nest egg just to have fun!! The lines are at least two hours long, but hey if you want to spend a bunch more you can purchase a fast track ticket and just heads up you have to stand in that line to.

Would not refund us our tix we purchased prior to the covid 19 pandemic which have forced us to cancel our travel trips. You would think Walt Disney would be a little more considerate especially during these trying times. Bahumbug Walt.

Absolutely love Universal Studios Florida. One of the best parks in Orlando. City Walk is great to lots of restaurants and shopping. One of the funnest things to do at Universal Studios Orlando is there Halloween Horror Nights. Top rated haunted houses just like the movies must see.
