The first few times were okay, decent service, knowledge, etc., though a little overpriced. That is until we wanted to return something. We ordered 2 fans and were not charged shipping because total was over threshold. It turned out the fans were not suitable for the job so we tried to return them. One was rejected because the box was damaged, though it arrived that way, and the other was accepted but we were issued a credit to buy there again. Not only that, we now had to pay the shipping cost for the initial postage even though we went to the shop to return them. In the end we're stuck with a overpriced fan we can't use and a credit we don't want to use. Never again.

Absolute delight, came in not really knowing what I needed, staff were so helpful and they had the fans for me to take with me right there and then :)

Experience was good until i had to return some stock i had purchased the day before due the job changing. Turns out they do not do refunds and not only that, they charge a 25% restocking fee. As an electrician who potentially spends thousands on each purchase they are a massive liability to my business. They told me "its just company policy".
Be warned!!

I recently bought online an exhaust fan and two back draft fittings from Universal Fans. Their website was easy to navigate as was ordering & payment. The almost immediate follow-up call from Troy to ensure that I was getting the right fan for the right job was most pleasing. The goods arrived within days and the fan and back draft devices were exactly as advertised. The German-made fan is very quiet and I'll be ordering again from Universal fans.

Got a wrong size fan and the only way to find out was opening the box n checking manual for size asked for a smaller one they totally refused really disappointed:(

Excellent customer service and great range of products at competitive prices. The salesman I spoke with was professional, courteous and very helpful. I placed my order and the goods were delivered the next day.

I was really pleased with the level of service I received from Adrian. His quote was prompt and competitive. Delivery really quick with great communication at all stages.

Once our fans were installed one of the wall nounting brackets was missing from the box and Adrian replaced it immediately at no cost to me.

It has been a very, very long time since having an A+service like the one that i received this afternoon. First time calling this company to enquire about a particular part, i was in honour of being politely served with the utmost help, respect, knowledge and sincerity from a quality customer service staff by the name of Troy? He answered all my questions clearly and precisely and was also very patience with my enquiry. I Haven't physically visit their showroom but base on the phone call service received, i am & will be recommending all friends and family to this company. Definitely a top notch experience. Great product (Urban 2 fan) and great service from Universal Fans. I'd done my homework but the sales staff still pleased to answer my many questions. Very helpful that ALL the fans (and there was a wide range) were on display and operational, so you could see and hear them before making a decision. Well worth travelling some distanve to do business with Universal.

As soon as I entered the showroom I was attended to by Troy who was interested and polite.i was looking for a louverd fan vent and chose the most suitable to do what I needed.
I installed it the same day and found that 1 of the louvers would not close after expelling air.
I emailed them and they agreed to send a replacement vent at no cost which arrived in 2 days.
They were very apologetic about the vent and the inconvenience caused .
It is refreshing to find this sort of company who really care about the product and their customers

We couldn't fault Universal Fans..we visited their showrooms and were met with friendly and helpful service. We followed up our visit with email communications, and the response was within 12 hours.
Once the fans were ordered they took very few days to arrive, and now they are up they look fantastic..

I am so pleased that I chose an Aerotron overhead fan from Universal Fans. The advice and service was at all times friendly and expert and, once I had made my decision, delivery was within 2 working days. The fan looks beautiful, is totally silent and keeps my upstairs bedroom so cool on hot Melbourne nights.

Booked a Saturday appointment which was great because I was served right away and didn't have to rush in after work one day. The staff really knew their stuff. I'm not a technical person so being able to actually turn on the ceiling fans and feel the air movement, and check they made no noise for myself, was fantastic. Prices were competitive too!

Dealt with Adrian, was knowledgeable and knew his products however promised discounts that he did not follow through with and failed to reccommend the one fan that met my criteria.

A horrible experience. Based on poor information given by the sales staff I accidently purchased the wrong sized bathroom fan. I immediately contacted the company and requested an exchange offering to pay freight for the return and exchange. They jerked me around for a week requesting various information piecemeal including photos proving the original packaging was undamaged. In the end they refused return on the basis I had cut the sticky tape to open the box (to inspect the goods and conclude it was the wrong fan). Granted their sales policy says returns will not be accepted if the goods are opened however in my case the box had been opened previously and re-taped.
The best they would offer was a $20 discount on the correct fan however the freight charge to Perth would be $76 compared to the $26 charged on the original purchase. Never again!

I could not recommend Troy at Universal fans more highly. I requested quotes on several Vortice fans online and next morning I had all the quotes back. I was then contacted by Troy who asked me about my usage. He threw some options around and we then decided on a fan that met my needs, with a little extra capacity thrown in for good measure. All contact with Universal fans was prompt and efficient. They know and understand the products they are selling. As a particular note - they stock high quality exhaust fans eg. Vortice, the Vortice Punto Long life Model. There was a Vortice fan that had been in my bathroom for 21 years and was still going strong, but not right colour for renovation - so, the brand choice was simple. Delivery was also quick once I had made payment. If you want great service and top quality products you can't go past Universal Fans - ask for Troy.

Friendly, helpful and efficient service. These guys were happy to match the online price I'd seen for my 2 fans - including free delivery in this case. Delivery was super efficient - arrived the next day (metro area). Highly recommended.

Their refund policy is so outdated. 20% have to loose because I m not an expert on the type of exhaust fan I need in an apartment. Did not open the fan, the only way to realised that it was not the correct exhaust fan was using an electrician. So really look somewhere else, where the policy is fair like most ecommerce store are now. Troy Paul was the person who told me I don t know what is above my head. That is marketing .

I bought an axial flow fan from Universal which I installed under the floor for ventilation. It operates 5 hours per day and can be heard as a similar sound to a refrigerator. The service from Universal was great and the pricing was very competitive.

Purchased two fans and a roof cowl, pricing was competitive, good customer service support, next day delivery .... ticked all the boxes.

We recently purchased 3 Fanco Eco Silent DC motor ceiling fans from Universal Fans in Oakleigh. We had researched the models that we wanted and reviewed them thoroughly as they were for bedroom use and therefore quietness and speed was a top priority.
Troy from Universal Fans was extremely helpful and confirmed all the information that we had gathered as correct. He also provided further valuable advice regarding the installation of the fans.
Our fans were promptly delivered the next day and we had them installed a couple of days later. Last night was the first time we used ours and it is amazing. Absolutely silent and far superior to any pedestal or upright fan we've used in the past. Thank you Troy your advice and service was absolutely first class. We are very happily recommending your company to our family and friends.

I am in the process of updating the ensuite and needed an exhaust fan..
One of my considerations was I have a flat metal roof and was thinking a normal exhaust fan may get wet due to driving rain coming in via the existing flue

My electrician suggested a "mushroom type fan" and recommended Universal Fans in Oakleigh.

On going to Universal Fans..I was helped by Adrian who advised me the best options for my roof situation ...we looked a few options and then finally decided what to go for and ordered it

Stay Away buy somewhere else they won't return anything for you

We were introduced to Universal Fans by a fan manufacturer. From first contact we experienced a lot of assistance in getting the product that suited our needs. It took a while for us to eventually firm up our order, nevertheless the staff were patient and we closed the deal very satisfied.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Troy, Adrian and Eunice and they were all super helpful. Great customer service!!

The Universal Fans showroom has an extensive range of fans (and other products) on display, which are all operational - making it easy to check out the fan speeds, quietness, etc. firsthand. We received exceptional customer service from Matt from the very get go - on the phone, then in person, and later via follow up emails. He was extremely helpful in assisting us to reach a decision on the right fan for our bedrooms - no mean feat.

After some checking decided to buy a Fanco Eco Silent ceiling fan for the bedroom. The existing one, although reasonably quiet, had an irritating beat. When I emailed Universal Fans for advice they were most co-operative and recommended the one I had decided upon. I ordered it forthwith.
It arrived from the other side of Melbourne 48 hours later. I chose an electrician from the list provided by Universal Fans and the fan was fitted 4 hours after fan delivery.
All in all a very satisfying experience.
Service was excellent and very prompt.
By the way, the fan is EXTREMELY quiet.

We live in the Northern Rivers of NSW and usually allow 7-10 days for deliveries.

I recently broke a blade on our new fan and contacted Universal Fans to see if I could source a replacement. Helen from the sales team was very responsive and helpful in sourcing replacement blades. She continually kept me up to date while waiting for feedback from the suppliers which was really comforting. I am extremely with the service provided and given it was quite a small order, really impressed that it was treated with such importance. Very happy customer and will be using these guys for all future orders!!

Amanda was very helpful in giving us advice over the phone and providing links to relevant fans. She invited us into the showroom where we saw the fans in action and made it easy and simple to purchase exactly what we were looking for. Love shopping at speciality business such as this where they know their stuff vs generic big brand stores with questionable quality. Would recommend.

I had a specific need for the correct fan to suit my needs to extract from a popcorn machine in my Cinema Candy Bar at Metro Cinemas in Boronia.
After a few minutes with Adrian, I was able to change to a more suitable fan than I had originally inquired about. The fan I ended up with was also a lot cheaper than a similar one I was looking at from an other supplier.
It was refreshing to have someone actually listen to my needs.
