I do pro bono legal work for CLSEPA at their criminal record expungement clinics. Their staff are dedicated to helping people in the EPA community, and they use their expertise to guide the volunteer lawyers like me to get their clients the results that they are entitled to under the law.
I do not recognize the organization described in the review from 2014. It makes no sense to call CLSEPA 'ambulance chasers'. They don't take a percentage of their clients' damages awards, the way that contingency lawyers do. They are a nonprofit, offering legal services that improve the lives of low-income families throughout the region. If anyone doesn't agree with that mission, then obviously they don't have to donate time or money to CLSEPA. But calling CLSEPA 'scum' because you don't support that mission, is not appropriate.
