I have been calling this to get a refund for a trips to jamaica me and my boyfriend had booked in july , however due to COVID 19 the trip was canceled. We have spent 3 months on the phone for HOURS trying to get our refund for the flights. All they do is lie to us telling us your money will be refunded in 2 weeks. That never happened. 2 weeks has now turned into more than 3 months. They train their employees to lie and say the same thing to ANYONE asking for their refund and honestly , its discusting and obvious. This company needs to be shut down. Horrible scam. I am not giving up and neither should anyone going throught this same issue.

I made online travel reservations 5 months in advance of our vacation. We purchased hotel, airfare, and trip insurance online at Sandals Reservation Center. I tried canceling a week after making the reservation, but was told the airfare was non refundable. Trip insurance didn't cover the tickets as it is only useful in case of sickness or death and needs a doctors note. Sandals uses Unique Vacations Inc in Miami to book these flight reservations. They will only give a credit for the flight if used within 1 year but NO VOUCHER or proof that you have a credit. Sandals website says tickets might "possibly" be non refundable. No way to check before putting money down to hold the vacation. No way to check the travel insurance to see if it covers trip cancellation as the company that provides it is not listed. Very frustrating! With no proof the tickets exist (Delta Airlines doesn't have a record as the tickets were cancelled and they never received money from Unique Vacations Inc.) I feel like Unique Vacations is stealing my money.

Unique Vacations uses Sandals as a front for their fraudulent "business". Made my reservation on 3/16/17 and cancelled on 3/24/17. Delta #2348 from San Jose, CA to Nassau, Bahamas. Return Delta #378. Paid $1,478 as down payment to hold reservation. Hotel charge of $440 refunded. Trip insurance of $128 not refunded but that is reasonable. Airfaire of $910 not refunded or issued a voucher or other proof even when requested multiple times with agents and supervisors. Told to book my future reservation via Unique Vacations. No idea what the small print regarding those future bookings might be as no voucher or proof given.

Traveler beware! My family had a trip planned with them for March, which no one could take because they closed their property due to COVID-19 concerns. They refuse to refund the money that was prepaid for the stay. They claim we can rebook with them, but you can't get in touch with anyone to try, and besides, it's still unsafe to travel. Travel providers all over the world are providing refunds right now, but this company can't even offer a bare minimum level of customer service. Instead of creating goodwill and future bookings because they did the right thing, they're instead choosing to scam people out of their money.

Sandals is a disgrace. I booked a vacation in May, arrival in February. The day of the trip we had the only snowstorm of the year forcing us to cancel. I understand cancellation policies but to receive the reply "It's not snowing here so we can't give you a refund" was a slap in the face. 10 weeks later I am still waiting on my claim to be processed by their preferred insurance partner. I am sure the resort is nice but don't book directly through them. I will be spending my money elsewhere.

Like many other people, I had to cancel our trip to Sandals due to the COVID pandemic. Even though we canceled our trip 3 months prior to our scheduled trip, getting reimbursed for airfare was an absolute nightmare. Getting a hold of someone on the phone is next to impossible, and they also don't respond to emails or messages over social media. I eventually had to file a fraud claim on my credit card in order to dispute the charge before I could get the airfare reimbursement. Because of all of this unnecessary stress, I will NEVER book a trip to Sandals and if I ever see "Unique Vacations" again, I will run far, far, away. Even if they were giving away vacations I wouldn't do it. Very disappointing because I've always heard Sandals is the best of the best. Communication was surely disappointing.

They canceled our trip due to COVID 19 and the travel ban with a letter from their CEO - we did not call and cancel. They also regretfully added that trip insurance they sold us did not cover this situation. They refused to refund my money or the airfare because they claimed I canceled the trip and that was my fault. After fraud disputes at Amex they lost the funds but then they refiled at Amex against me for the funds less the airfare - self admission they tried to steal that money. I will not give up the fraud fight because they are 100% STEALING

We are a party of 20 going to celebrate our 20th Anniversary @Sandals St. Lucia Grande on Tuesday, November 26th. So you know it hasnt been a cake walk for our Group Coordinator Jennifer Blanco but she has been AMAZING!!! Through the many decisions and changes she has NOT missed a beat. It has been a pleasure working with her.

Unique Vacations Inc is keeping money that should be refunded to us. We booked a trip to Sandals for May 1 - 8, 2020. Due to covid 19, Sandals closed all its resorts until at least May 15. We had booked our flights through Unique Vacations Inc, the travel agency Sandals uses to book flights. We opted to reschedule the trip and have contact Unique Vacations Inc numerous times and each time, the call takes over an hour and we never get a resolution. This is due to the employees stalling us by putting us on hold for long periods of time. Unfortunately, this company doesn t have a website or email address or a social media presence so phone is the only option for contacting them. (We've spent 8+ hours on the phone with them so far and the issue STILL isn t resolved.) Each time, the phone rep has lied to us & told us they would rebook our flights & send us an email confirmation regarding refunding the difference in airfare which is considerable (about $1000 US). They have yet to send us an email regarding the airfare refund &, though we finally do have flights on American Airlines (after multiple calls), we have no credit with the airline or with Sandals itself. They also have lied about who our credit would be with (should be with Sandals or American Airlines), sometimes saying it s with Sandals (though Sandals says they show no credit for us) and American Airlines does not show a credit for us either. I travel very frequently for work & I've never run across this before. In these situations, the credit is always with the airline & it only takes a few minutes for flights to be rebooked & for flights & the credit to show up in a frequent flyer account, not days as the phone rep always claims. The credit is never with the travel agency. Unique Vacations Inc is obviously stalling us & hoping we will get tired of trying to get what is rightfully is ours but that won't happen. We want what is rightfully ours which is either a full refund (NOT less the amount of travel insurance since this isn t a travel insurance claim as unique Vacations Inc originally claimed) or the difference in airfare credited back to us. Since Unique Vacations Inc appears to have just kept that extra $1000, they should have no problem refunding it back to us. We have been lied to every time we've spoken with anyone at Unique Vacations Inc about this & have been trying to deal with them politely for over 3 months now. Our patience is gone. Unique Vacations Inc has had plenty of time to do this & should have done so way before now. It's very shameful & short-sighted of Unique Vacations Inc to train their employees to lie to customers & try to con people out of money rather than doing the right thing. This complaint has so far also been posted on yelp, tripadvisor.com, trustpilot.com & twitter and more to come. I'm going to make sure as many people as possible are warned about the shady practices of Unique Vacations Inc.

Unique Vacations is a scam!!!!!! They told me we would be able to travel with another couple to Cancun and stay in the same resort. They charged my credit card $361 and then called a few days later (after I had purchased airline tickets) and told me we would have to stay in a different resort because group travel is not allowed. I asked for a refund and was told they were refunding right away. After no refund, 2 weeks of unreturned calls, and now on hold for 15 minutes, I decided to write a review. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!!!!!
