Unique Vacations Inc is keeping money that should ...

Unique Vacations Inc is keeping money that should be refunded to us. We booked a trip to Sandals for May 1 - 8, 2020. Due to covid 19, Sandals closed all its resorts until at least May 15. We had booked our flights through Unique Vacations Inc, the travel agency Sandals uses to book flights. We opted to reschedule the trip and have contact Unique Vacations Inc numerous times and each time, the call takes over an hour and we never get a resolution. This is due to the employees stalling us by putting us on hold for long periods of time. Unfortunately, this company doesn t have a website or email address or a social media presence so phone is the only option for contacting them. (We've spent 8+ hours on the phone with them so far and the issue STILL isn t resolved.) Each time, the phone rep has lied to us & told us they would rebook our flights & send us an email confirmation regarding refunding the difference in airfare which is considerable (about $1000 US). They have yet to send us an email regarding the airfare refund &, though we finally do have flights on American Airlines (after multiple calls), we have no credit with the airline or with Sandals itself. They also have lied about who our credit would be with (should be with Sandals or American Airlines), sometimes saying it s with Sandals (though Sandals says they show no credit for us) and American Airlines does not show a credit for us either. I travel very frequently for work & I've never run across this before. In these situations, the credit is always with the airline & it only takes a few minutes for flights to be rebooked & for flights & the credit to show up in a frequent flyer account, not days as the phone rep always claims. The credit is never with the travel agency. Unique Vacations Inc is obviously stalling us & hoping we will get tired of trying to get what is rightfully is ours but that won't happen. We want what is rightfully ours which is either a full refund (NOT less the amount of travel insurance since this isn t a travel insurance claim as unique Vacations Inc originally claimed) or the difference in airfare credited back to us. Since Unique Vacations Inc appears to have just kept that extra $1000, they should have no problem refunding it back to us. We have been lied to every time we've spoken with anyone at Unique Vacations Inc about this & have been trying to deal with them politely for over 3 months now. Our patience is gone. Unique Vacations Inc has had plenty of time to do this & should have done so way before now. It's very shameful & short-sighted of Unique Vacations Inc to train their employees to lie to customers & try to con people out of money rather than doing the right thing. This complaint has so far also been posted on yelp, tripadvisor.com, trustpilot.com & twitter and more to come. I'm going to make sure as many people as possible are warned about the shady practices of Unique Vacations Inc.
