Enjoyed our day here. Be prepared for a lot of walking up an down steps and there was a long queue to see the crown jewels.
The tower it's self was nice. I would have liked to have seen some wax works of the famous figures.

Excellent place with so much history. Just be aware that ticket prices do include a donation and donation boxes are everywhere. Would like to see less donation boxes if I'm paying a high price to go inside.

absolutely a place that should be on everybody's tourist list. The Tower of London although not cheap to get into, allows you to see the crown jewels which are remarkable and absolutely stunning in their own right. The area isn't necessarily the most wheelchair-accessible venue, however they do do their best to accommodate everyone. there are some food options in the space however I'd recommend saving your appetite and taking a short walk down the Thames to spots that have some slightly nicer variety and which aren't going to break the bank. Do watch out for the ravens which are enormous and one of the more exciting part of your visit to the Tower of London. These royal birds will sneak up on you and if you're not expecting it they can be a bit of a surprise because of just how large they are. That's not to scare you so much as it is to encourage you to find them because they truly are incredible animals.

Took my 5 grandchildren and I can honestly say that apart from the crown jewels it's a disappointment. Children don't want to be in a room with just written displays and a less than exciting video. Come on ToL you can and should do better.

Yoeman, Scott Kelly, was the best and narrator and most handsome. Ourjourney through Tower of London was Informative and funny. I would have apppreciated if we could take photographs of the crown jewels, etc. I have found out that on my other vacations...i.e. Russia... that the crown jewels were much more a vast and visitors were able to take images of them.

Quite an underwhelming London landmark. There are many more places with a lot more to do.
This is great if you love history. However there is still only 2/3 main buildings with a bulk of information. The crown jewels are a sight to see but you have to go through on an escalator which can sometimes feel rushed. The tower is fun to go up and through. And the chapel would have been great to see but it was closed.
The guards are very friendly and happy to answer any questions and gives very interesting facts.
They currently have a one way system to follow social distancing rules. Some places of the tower are closed but you still get to see the main attractions.

Its the Tower.. come on. Go see it, take the tour, learn some great things. I truly came to appreciate this bit of living active history. If you don't know what I mean by that, you will after the tour. Do it. Oh yeah, the crown jewels and armor were neat, too.

What a fabulous place. It's quite busy, but there is loads to do. Some fabulous items to see, including the crown jewels and the armour of Henry the Eighth. Lots of information about everything on boards or via short films. Everything is very well presented. The yeoman warders are very friendly and informative. There are also performances from costumed actors and an interactive section for children to try out various aspects of the past. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I visited in late August 2020 when Covid 19 had dramatically reduced the numbers of visitors to London. However there was little of the Tower that was actually closed off. One way systems were in place in all buildings and all visitors had to book an arrival time. But it's unmistakable and now is a good time to go. A proper big medieval fortress in the heart of London. What else needs to be said! Plenty to see and once inside the outer walls it's quite a surprise how much space there is. Top destination. Go for it!

Fantastic day out for all. Learnt so much and Yeoman warden Woodcock was outstanding , very knowledgeable, entertaining and fun.
Keep doing what you're doing and people will keep coming through the gates.

The fortress on the Thames originating from the Norman Conquest (1066) was a royal residence and has since had many functions, most notably as a prison. Unfortunately it is now overrun with tour groups, and despite the massive profits the visitor experience has not been improved accordingly. The educational and entertainment value is low. Apart from the entrance queue, there s a lot of queuing for the individual attractions. The worst is of course for the Crown Jewels a tasteless and vulgar collection presented in an atmosphere of absurd pomposity and royalist propaganda.

The most unimpressive part of London for me. I loved London but found this particular attraction to be very boring. This is the part of London that does not reflect England subsequent greatness.

The Tower of London sits atop the area first inhabited by the Celts. It is an ancient site that has so many layers of history beneath your feet like no place else. I was there when they had an exhibit of the "Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red"" marking the centenary of the First World War. The exhibit was created using 888246 ceramic poppies that filled the moat surrounding the Tower.

Great place to wander around and see the different exhibits especially the crown jewels. Don't bother with the torture exhibit as it is only 3 items. No cameras or phones allowed in the crown jewels exhibit.

We purchased our tickets in advance and went around opening. No long lines that way, and we also saw the crown jewels first to avoid the lines that form later.

After an hour, the first yeomen warder tour was offered. Very entertaining, but it pulls a huge crowd. As much as I liked our guide, I ended up skipping due to time and dislike of crowds. But if the crowd wouldn't bother you, these guys are very witty and make the content enjoyable.

We only allowed ourselves 1hr 40 minutes for the Tower, and I'd say a full 2hrs is needed for the crown jewels and tour (if you're there when they open). Otherwise, more time would be very recommended. We were very happy to wake up early and avoid the lines, though.

A London Must See! This must be on your short list of places to visit in London. The Beefeater tour guides alone are worth the price of admission. Wasn't overwhelmed by the crown jewels, but they are unique.

Great day out, allow 6 hours and go early, start with the guided tour and head for crown jewels next as queues build. Buy the guide and read history of various building. Great food and reasonable price in restaurant.

You could easily spend most of a day here. We gobbled up 4 hours without even trying.

Definitely get one of the Yoeman tours. And then there is the Tower, the Crown Jewels (get there early and do this first), the mint, the cafes, the armoury, ok'd palace accommodation plus much more.

This is very much worth the money. An essential activity for London that has a great mixture of history, interest, sparkle, and space to relax.

Good family day out. To see the Crown Jewels, be sure to get there early as the queue can gwt really long. Amazing location next to Tower Bridge, and if you are lucky enough you might even get to see the bridge opening. Don't forget to see the wall carving done by the prisoners at the Tower ans of course thw Ravens.

Its a neat place. Once you ve seen a suite of armour how many more. Seams some passages could have neen opened and the torture chanbers were sparse. The graffiti from past prisoners was awesome

Pluses: easy to get to, steeped in history, and many things to see within the precincts. Minuses: cost of admission, over run with tourists (mid-afternoon Sunday), and lines way too long to see the Crown Jewels. Overall: an obligatory stop for first-time visitors, but plan well to avoid the crowds.

It's nice, but it's so invaded by things for tourists (signs, tvs, paths) that it's no longer an historical site, but just another museum. People are driven like cattle on a circuit, and the white tower close ridiculously early. Also staff is very rude. I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend it.

brilliant day out for any age, however its not very buggy friendly as there are lots of stairs to the different parts of the castle.
only downside was the prices of food in the cafe and also not much of a selection for people with dietary needs (I'm a coeliac) choices very limited. however the weapons display in the white tower was truly something to behold and there is alot to learn about weapons from all periods of history.
loved all of the information given about the old menagerie and also the display of the 'old' crown jewels from rulers past.

Worth the visit. Very large and lots to see and do. If you like history you will love this place. Best tip buy a Historic Royal Palaces yearly pass. That way you don't have to book for a specific day and you can go more than once if you want. As long as you go to two palaces you break even . It is very easy to see more than one. When you enter the gate go right and pick up the audio tour right away then go straight to see the crown jewels, then go back to the front gate to join a yeoman warders tour. Then do the audio tour.

Very gorgeous medieval castle and a show of great british architecture. It houses the crown jewel and open entry for all.

I recommend booking the tickets online, saves you queuing at the kiosk which can be very long at times.

Very close to the station and has plenty of outdoor spaces outside. It's great for family and also couples.

We arrived too late for a tour, our mistake but it was wonderful, not crowded, staff could answer questions, and we got to see so much without fighting a crowd. Would have loved to spend a bit more time here but still loved what we did get to see.
