Awesome day out. One of the best tourist attractions in London. If you want to understand English, speak to a Yeoman warder and get the tour.

If you are passionate about the crown and British History this is a must see,My friend loved it,really need to bring the family down at some point.
The beefeater story adds to the history of the tower and complements the magnificent crown jewels
If you are in London than this is a place too see. A great oportunity to bring history to life.
The best time is to come early in the mornig because of the crowd and there a lot of things to see. You can easily spend 3 hours there.
Really interesting place. Lots to see and learn.
Be sure to go on the free Beef Eater Tour.
Never get bored when get there - annual membership is something all Londoners should have!
It s worth a visit. You can get a two for one offer if you travel by train. Look out for the vouchers.
Absolutely loved it here. Been twice, the most recent of which we brought our 5 year old daughter. She was amazed by the Ravens and also took quite an interest in the torture exhibit to our surprise. The thing she enjoyed the most though was seeing the Crown Jewels. Had a chat with a Beefeater too who was very nice and answered all my questions.
Overall, loved it.
Great place to visit. We only had 2.5 hours to view and thought we would be out way before - could have spent another hour looking around. Couldn't get to every spot.
Great spot for tourists. Night view is beautiful but beaware of pickpockets
Our guide was amazing. Great stories and a hilarious sense of humor. The whole family enjoyed the guided tour.
Our yeoman guard guide was fantastic! Great information wonderful displays!
I wasn't sure how much of enjoy this but took my wife and son on a day out to London. It was brilliant! So much to see and a great cafe too
No word can describe the charm of London Bridge.....if u visit London and see tower of London mean u visited whole uk.
Yeoman warders are amazing. They made British monarchy fun.
Brilliant beefeater tour of the tower. Staff historical knowledge was excellent and informative. Crown jewels are out of this world. Bloody Tower -scary. So much to see and learn. Highly recommend.
Expensive, not very interesting....go to the free museums instead
Great place to visit. Make sure you do the guided tour to learn all about the history of the Tower. We didn't try the on site restaurant due to reading mixed reviews before we came. So had a great meal at the Liberty Bounds before our visit.
Is one of the most beautiful places in London, if you are visiting the city you must go to this place, you need about 3 hours if you want to do know all parts of the castle.
Iconic images. Historic,a must go for anyone!! Great food at the cafe!!
Evening tour was exceptionally good would definitely recommend if possible to get one
Great place but initial point of contact staff needs to improve his personal skills. We had not read our voucher clearly, so went to wrong ticket office. Rather than just re-directing us he felt it necessary to add "like it says on the ticket". Overall a good visit.
Interesting place. Good amenities nearby. Worth a visit if you like history/historic places.
Incredible experience to amidst centuries of history
Great site to see while you're in London. The suits of armour are especially fascinating to see. My two boys loved it.
This place was WAY cool. I took a star because the bloody tower was closed and I was super bummed that I didn t get to see that.
Excellent lae for kids to learn about their countries history
Super cool and informational. The cafes are pretty decent for lunch and the free tour is a must do. We also got the audio tour and enjoyed that. We left after 3 hours but could easily have stayed longer
Have wanted to go for so long and finally did. Was not disappointed in the least, love history so could have spent two or three days there but you really need a good half day to a day to see the vest of it. Beware of trying to see the crown jewels late in the day the line looked mad glad I was in early. Food is on the high side so pack lunch advised. Make sure you take a tour with on of the yeomen warders they are the keepers of the tower and not a tourist attraction but they are the people with the knowledge of this world heritage site and cultural icon of English power.
A yeoman tour is a must and a great way to experience the tower. So much history of what really is the dark side of the English past. But the guardians have dobe a great job of retaining its authenticity while making it engaging for modern day tourists. Advise brushing up on your history of both Henry XIII and Walter Raleigh before you visit.
If you are in London, this area is most impressive! A fantastic mix between the historic and ultra modern.
Amazing tours. History lovers dream location. Bring a camera for photo opportunities.
Expected more, it is just a inflated baloon, a medieval actraction for children. Went there to see the royal jewels, but they are shown with low light and you stay on a tapisroulant and can't stop to see properly. Entrence fee about 30 euros and they still ask money and donations inside.
I don't suggest to visit, spend your time and your money better.
Maybe the greatest collection of medieval armor is kept here in the White Tower. This is a must-see, authentic experience for the tourist to London.
Great to visit unless you're disabled as so many steps however they did get us into the crown jewels without having to queue and the guards were very helpful. Awesome views and the ravens are gorgeous
I love this Place..it was a happy feeling..I saw the tower of London in a real.. though I lost my thing.its an memorable experience..but it was fun.
Even though the ticket is a bit pricey, the Tower of London is an amazing place to spend a few hours, learn some English history, and enjoy nice views of the city. I would highly recommend the Yeoman Warder's (the famous Beefeaters) guided tour. It lasts around 45 min and it's amazing! I took the one of Yeoman Warder 402 (I don't remember his name!), and it was very interesting, as well as entertaining. So, if you happen to be in London, go to the Tower, you won't regret it!
The most intersting monument in london, have to visit it!
Really enjoyed. Well worth a visit if you enjoy history.
Have been before but was still lots to keep me interested. Loved the crown jewels display, totally different to when I went before, many years ago. Loved the day
Incredible array of sights and history inside the walls. If timing works out, definitely follow a Yeoman Warder tour, as they are super knowledgeable and humorous. Although we visited on a weekend, the crowds always seemed to be moving and we never once had to stand in a stagnant queue!
Wonderful Castle (not a real tower anymore) holding a number of Royal Crowns, Jewelry and collection of armoury. Strongly recommended. Nice cafe inside to have lunch. Takes around half a day to get through everything.
Excellent. The audio guide is a must. If you like history allow a whole day to see everything properly. Food and drink very reasonably priced by London standards. Avoid queues for Crown Jewels by going at the end of the day, say 5 o'clock. Downsides: can be very crowded, high entry cost.
One of my favourite tourist attractions in London. I became a member which is well worth it. Reasonably priced for a main London attraction but if you're local go for the membership. You can go to other palaces and houses in London with membership. Massive history and fantastic restaurant and a great place for the kids and school parties. Souvenir shops in abundance and great location next to the Thames.
Viewing the jewels, and armor we're we'll thought out. Seldom did we see a crowd in front of a display that prevented us from having a good view. Be sure to ask the uniformed docents questions. Few people do, and they relish sharing their knowledge, especially the younger ones.
A great trip out for the family, made extra special by the Yeoman warder and his brilliant guided tour and great story-telling. The Crown Jewels were literally brilliant and the whole setup was efficient, clean and able to be experienced at our own pace. A little expensive perhaps but an absolute London icon that is well worth visiting.
Get there fast and go to the crown jewel exibition first, the line won t be crowded after
It was the only thing good to see there though
Give yourself a lot of time to fully explore everything! I was here for about 2 hours and had a bunch more I could have explored.
How was the Tower of London? Google Maps just asked me...it was wonderful...the best visit to this World Heritage Site that I've ever experienced and I've been a few times now with my membership of the Historic Royal Palaces. I'm not known to be fanatical about history but the historically accurate re-enactments I saw with my primary school aged children was epic and worthy of the best cinematic performances but with the intimacy of fringe theatre. The goriness of all the bloodlust of the original stories were tempered by the humourous and near slapstick delivery by all the actors taking part. Threatening the Earl of Gloucester with ex-communication or the chamberpot contents over the ramparts aimed at Thomas Fuconberg were my favourite parts.
Sure the crown jewels are impressive but the Yeoman Warder (aka Beefeaters) tour was the highlight. These former warrant officers take their job seriously but do so with class, a welcoming attitude, and tasteful humour (usually at the expense of Americans :). Our particular Yeoman Mark was absolutely hilarious with a sense of humour drier than London's driest gin!
This was a wonderful place to visit. So much history and information. The tours are incredibly educational. It was good for kids, families, and adults.
Was a fantastic afternoon. Arrived at 2 for a tour (They run every half hour. Last one starts at 230.) Tour guide was fantastic. Full of funny stories and facts. I felt like I learnt something although I'm not entirely sure what. Stayed on after the tour and checked out the parts not covered by the tour (crown jewels, torture chamber, white tower etc) was well worth the time spent. I wish I had come earlier as it closed at 430 and I would have liked an extra hour or so because there was so much to see.
Interesting, educational and intriguing for parents and children alike. We had a great time at the tower, despite the cold and rain.
Amazing place. Historical knowledge of the place given whilst on guided tour is also amazing. I learn something new every time!!
Amazing - learned so much and wish I had been years ago - it's a treasure. Make sure you go. So well maintained. Great sense of History when you're there.
Replete with history, both the interesting and the macabre. A must stop. Groups of 15 get a discount.
Went to see the Armistice " Beyond the Deepening Shadows" installation. Great to see so many people there, but I thought the queuing system was more cumbersome than at the poppy installation in 2014 and so that took the gloss off, for me. If you are going, allow plenty of time and top up your patience levels first!
Our tour guide was top notch. Tower is worth the visit
Worth seeing on a tour of London. Guide helpful to know some of the history. Crown Jewels are amazing and fun to explore. Beware lots of stairs.
Spent 4 and a half hours at the Tower of London. It was a great morning out. Would have liked the opening ceremony if we could see it from where we were standing!! There were only about 15 people standing in front so we should have seen at least something but no of course not. It wasn't busy around opening time but about an hour later it was very busy and I mean busy, the crown jewels part the queue was really long. So if you are visiting this then you better get there at opening time or you will be spending this place longer than me. Plenty of gift shops dotted about the place, so if one is busy go to the next. They all have basically the same thing so if one is busy then go to the next which is a short walk away. I bought the tickets online so no need to queue up beforehand. Toilets were clean and I like that they had free water in the cafe so we filled up our bottles there as it was a hot day not sure if you're supposed to do that but I did! I ordered a cup of tea from there which was over priced but it was a nice cup of tea. My friend had a hot chocolate which wasn't hot at all so a disappointment there. I like the fact they had free tour guides either through headphones and a tape recording or actual tour guides guiding you around the place. You will do a lot of walking up narrow steps and walking from place to place so get well rested before you decide on going. I possibly will not go again but I really enjoyed the day and definitely recommend it.
Wow! I had no idea this place was so huge. You could easily spend an entire day here. Obviously every step drips with historical significance. Spooky at times
The former torture chamber is now a souvenir shop. Still a torture chamber for husbands as the wife buys trinkets.
A highlight of London. A must see and to see the medieval knights armour and other weapons was a nice surprise
Over priced for the lack of things to do and see. I would spend the money to go back.
Gorgeous place to take pictures and to learn more about history!
Tour guide was excellent. But not one of the best tourist activitys in London.
Take a tour with one of the Yeoman Warders around the Tower of London, one of the world's most famous buildings. Discover its 900-year history as a royal palace, prison and place of execution, arsenal, jewel house and zoo! Gaze up at the White Tower, tiptoe through a medieval king's bedchamber and marvel at the Crown Jewels.
Touristy and crowdy but still a spectacular British scene with the tower bridge and the nearby St Katherine s docks. Worth visiting and walking around. Never been tempted to go inside.
Line to the crown jewels can get long. Not being able to take pictures even without flash is a bit annoying but overall great place
Had a brilliant beefeater guide telling bout stories, however queues to see things were too long
I mean I'm not sure being out on the rack is part of the tour. But hey I'm 2 inches taller now
Great British history! But long lines on the weekend
Lovely place to visit with or without children. The staff are quite simply the best IV met and are amazing with children and half term activities were great we took part in knight school and it was fantastic.
A great tour from a Yeoman Warder ("Beefeater") brings this historic castle to life. Much more than just a "Tower", this ancient fortress is many buildings that hold centuries of British history. A must for any visitor to London.
Probably the most famous place in London with an incredible history.
Nice piece of British history. The guided tours (included in the entrance fee) shouldn't be skipped.
One of the best tours in London! A must see for the Crown Jewels, tours, sights, and artifacts! Highly recommended.
One of the popular touristy places in London. You will get an audio guide with your entry ticket which describes the place's history and also there will be a tourist guides inside the tower who will take you for a short tour illustrating its history (which is also included in the ticket). This place is a must visit if you would like to take a look at the incredible Crown Jewels!
We went on a river cruise for my 6 bday and we saw the Tower of London
Great place with loads of history and things to see. Aim to get here for 10am and head staight for the crown jewels as the queue soon gets very lonnnggg
Definitely worth a vist, seeing crown jewels and learning about the young princesses
Brilliant day out at the Tower, went on the guided tour and would recommend anyone visiting to do the same.
Perfect closure for our mini-moon trip thru south of england
Has a history of about 1000 years. Collection of gold and diamond Royal jewels is a sight to see. One can feel the luxury and royslty. Excellent maintenance.
Superb place. Need at least 4-5 hours to see everything. I spent 4 hours still couldn't see everything.
Historic place.i have read more about this place and after that I was visited so it's wonderful experience.main attraction is crown jewellery. Rare and expensive jewels including kohinoor diamond.inside white tower payer room and measuam is good .scenic view from tower of london is good . One gate directly connected with river Thames.
One of the best sightseeing spots of London. Not too crowded (except crown jewels exhibition, if you want to see them you might come as early as possible) and really interesting. Had a great experience with the yeoman warders guided tour.
Love it . History is always fantastic in London . The tower is very well kept and it s fantastic to hear the stories
