One of the most famous and iconic site of London. Splendous and amazing architecture. Beauty gets multiplied manifold at night when it is lit with decorating colours under dark night. If you are visiting this amazing working monument , please make sure that you visit it twice once during day time and again at night or you can visit during sunset so that you can witness light and dark beauty of this amazing site at the same time.

Due to it being half term for easter it is very busy the queue for crown jewels is 2 hours long. If you are going to visit arrive at 9am and head straight for the crown jewels. If you want to visit on a Sunday or Monday the tower opens at 10am

Fantastic experience. Give yourself plenty of time. Get an audio guide as the beefeater tours may be very good but you'll be part of a group of 60. Crown jewels takes a long time but its definitely worth it.

Fascinating place to visit! The walk through is clearly labeled and easy to follow and full of information. Staff are really friendly and helpful. I really recommend going on one of the yeoman led tours, it really brings the place to life.
Best to come early and plan to stay late as there is lots to see and do.
The cafe's on site provide a good range of food, drinks and snacks.
Lots of places to grab a souvenir too.

Every bit worth the entrance fee. We very much enjoyed our time here and all the Yeoman Warders we met were knowledgeable, kind and professional. Our only problem was that arriving at 1pm didn't give us enough time to cover everything! My advice is to bring a picnic style lunch and arrive a bit earlier in the day.

Amazing museum about the history from Londen ( England). A lot of historic items in the tower. Also the Queen Jewelry's in the tower. If you will visit Londen. This one is a eyecatcher for people who love history.

Best place to learn about the history of London and how it came to be. It has been said that everything that has happened in history with the world today originated from Tower of London. Don't know how much of that is true (as I'm not a historian!) but this should be in your list when in London

An essential stop for any London tourist. It's a tad pricey, but if you go, DO THE BEEFEATER TOUR when you enter. Wait for it if you have to. I can't imagine what this experience would have been like without our salty, dramatic Beefeater bringing the Tower and its crazy place in England's history to life. Great experience, and my kids (10 and 12) dug it too. Especially the Beefeater. He was fantastic.

Great place for a family visit or on ya tod.
Enough to do for the whole day.
Downside, drinks and food are expensive and no concessions with nectre or club card points.
But you can take your own pack-up in.

One of the oldest standing structure in London. Dating back to several hundred years, part of which was destroyed during the wars, after which it was refurbished and fixed. However the initial architecture is still visible and a good visit!

The tower is grand, has a rich history and taking the guided tour by the tower guards is worth it; you can always saunter off in the middle if you want. The Crown Jewels exhibition, however, was a tedious disappointment. Yards of queuing led to further yards of corridors showing just the pictures of the jewels , various monarchs & a rather boring film of Elizabeth II's coronation. The jewels came at the end when we were too tired of the whole charade. Time spent exploring other areas would be a better investment.

If you love British History then the Tower of London is a must. Great experience, however the castles up North East of England are far greater as this tour was more about the crowns jewels and what the king's uniforms wore rather than the castle itself.

You need to visit if in London!! It is so full of history and interesting things to learn. The site is amazing. We spent hours here and enjoyed every moment. You get to see the Queen's Guards show off here also

Highly recommended. The tour by the Beefeater was excellent - funny and educational. There were plenty of things to do for all the family. Interactive displays were very good and the Crown Jewels were displayed very well. The Towers are interesting historically and also beautiful to look at. Views of Tower Bridge are also impressive and unique.

Amazing historical landmark where absolutely every visitor should go. The architecture is fabulous and the White Tower is splendid. Must see is the Crown Jewels exhibits, marvellous. You can opt to join a guided tour by the Beefeaters or explore on your own. Its quite packed in the middle of the day, best time will be early or late. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket booths near the entrance or if you came by tube, Tower Hill station, you can also buy from the shop, Traders Gate which is along the tunnel leading from the tube station to the Tower. However, you still need to exchange for an official ticket at the booths, which is pretty weird. You can easily spend half a day if you are interested in everything in there. Oh yeah, they have ice cream kiosk to cool you down as well as a cafe to fill your tummy. Dress casual and proper footwear as there s a lot of walking to do. A must visit place for all tourists.

Fabulous place. The. Crown Jewels are a must. The guided tours are a bit hit and miss. We found that it was much easier to wander by yourself and join a tour near where you are. Then move on once you have that info. The beefeaters should stop being so insulting to Americans.

Definitely worth seeing. Take the free tour at the start with the Queen's Guard. Very informative and really makes the tour wonderful. Our guard was a riot. To see it all you need several hours. Make this a day trip to give yourself plenty of time to see everything. There are lots of stairs so bring your sensible shoes. We walked the Thames river path to get there from Westminster. There are also water shuttles (not cruise) rides very affordable that come every 15 minutes. We took it back. Very relaxing. It uses tap (debit/credit) cards but you must have one per person so I'm not sure how that works when traveling with children, I'm sure they have a solution so just ask at the desk.

It's a wonderful compound built over original Roman fortification. Look for the graffiti carved into the limestone walls by those condemned to death in the 16th century. Take a free Beefeater tour and prepare to be entertained. And the crown jewels are alotta bling. It's a must see.

This place is impressive. Super old, great architecture and history. Take the Beefeater tour at the beginning. View the crown jewels and go through all the torture places. See the wall of armor - impressive. You can stroll the grounds, have a cup of tea and experience history.

So much to see here. The guided tour was fantastic and gives you a taste of what it is now and what it used to be. The beefeaters show you around an important piece of what this place used to represent with a tasteful and hilarious humor. Crown jewels, history and the current day's status was a great experience

Finally visited here after so many visits nearby. Cheaper to buy tickets online and collect. Beefeater tour was excellent and the highlight, followed by walking round the ramparts. Didn't visit the Crown Jewels as queue too long. Restaurant is really overpriced and food prices badly labelled - take a packed lunch or eat somewhere else nearby.

A historical castle that is a must to visit if you're a fan of this type of thing.
Have had diffrent rolles since it was built in the 11th century, not just for defense of the city but also as a palace and prison.
Have survived time and is still in very good condition.
A lot to see and should have a whole day to spend here.

One of many nice old castles that I passed by, during my roadtrip in the U.K back in 2001, which I took time to visit and enjoyed exploring and still remember it as it was yesterday.

I'm a huge fan of castles and this is one of the better ones I've visited. You can do a self guided tour or have a tour guided group. My wife and I did the self guided tour and enjoyed walking around and exploring/learning about the castle. It also has a nice view of the London bridge!

Excellent visit with a lot of information about the monarchs. Great to see the Crown Jewels too. Make sure to make a visit to the jewel house shop too as the staff there are very very friendly.

A great place to understand the bloody history around the medieval times. Quite crowded it's good to be an early bird and book tickets online and take a print out. As soon as you enter get to the crown jewels display to beat the day crowd. amazed

Time is definitely required to visit The Tower of London and unfortunately we ran out of it. We still had an enjoyable experience and would return when the weather is warmer. There is a lot of history and it is interesting. The crown jewels are stunning and with the weather the way it was the queue was pretty quick.

This was amazing! Disappointed in the Crown Jewels tour. The wait seemed like forever, and almost nothing on display (my mum remembers going as a child and everything she wanted to see again wasn t there.)

Everything else was great.

Not everywhere is pram or wheelchair friendly but a lot is. Great place to take kids. Worth the wait to get in

This is a must see! There is so much History here, and it is such a unique site that I could not recommend it enough. The white tower is stunning, the jewels are stunning, the old streets and pathways inside are brilliant. You can also see arms and armours, statues and so much more! If you go to London, this place is one you have to see. Absolutely amazing.

The Tower has been in my family history since the ...

The Tower has been in my family history since the early 1400s, my grandfathers were constables at the tower, one grandfather was beheaded there in 1547 and my 2nd cousins Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard also met the same fate.

The chance to visit doesn't present itself often due to commitments, however, yesterday was such a day. I'd been chatting with the governor and the curator recently and I seized the moment of opportunity to visit.

We parked the car in the Tower Hill Coach and Car-Park just a few minutes walk to the Tower, there were no queues as one might usually expect, as due to COVID-19 you have to pre-book with a time-slot. Well, we arrived 15 minutes early and were let straight in. There was a small bag search on the way in but everyone was socially distanced.

Once inside there were no Yeoman warders giving guided tours of course, which is fully understandable, but due to a lack of visitors there was also no "crush" to see elements of the tower and we could, at leisure make our way around the tower soaking up the history. At certain points, there were Yeoman warders who were more than happy to chat about history and we learnt quite a few new things yesterday. A special mention to Yeoman Warder Briggs and Yeoman Sergeant Fuller who were very helpful indeed.

The crown jewels are usually heaving, queued for ages, but we were able to just walk on in, and linger to view at our leisure, even go up and down the travelator a few times.

Accessibility wise, I took my mobility scooter and it was a nightmare on the cobbled streets, a real bone-shaker, but doable. The Disabled toilets behind the jewel house were spotless and worthy of a 5* alone. We couldn't go in the white tower due to mobility issues, but it didn't make for any less an enjoyable visit.

If you want to visit.... now is the time to do so

FYI the little replica crowns are only sold in the Tower of London gift shop. Those or anything similar are not sold anywhere else in London. Sadly now i do not have one and Christmas is ruined ! Very nice place to visit, had a wonderful time :)

There's a lot to see and do here. One of my favorite places to visit when we come to London and want to see the sights. Would very much recommend it to anyone who had never been before.

Easy place to visit.

Easy place to visit.
Nice monument to visit in London.
I think that some renovations of the painting of the walls could be useful to make more visitors want to choose this monument.
If I have to go back to the Tower of London, I will come back with joy.

This is one of the best things I ve done in London. The tickets appear fairly pricey but you essentially get access to an entire authentic museum complex. I would really recommend getting there as early as possible and then heading straight for the Crown Jewels as this gets very busy very quickly. We also had a nice coffee from the coffee shop. Some of the access is not so great (I saw some older women struggling with the steps) but I think that s just because it s been left so intact from its original form. I urge you to visit this location!

The tower of london is a great place to visit and with Co I'd there is never a better time to go. You get the Yoemen to yourself and they love to teach. There wasn't a queue for the Jewels either with is normally not the case.
