Worst venue in Chicago. Poor sound. Poor seats. 40 mins to get a beer. Never returning!
This Venue don't even deserve a star. 4 of us were here last Friday for the Sophisticated Soul Concert. The seats were small. There were no entertainment or music during intermission except for Lalah. I think it was her personal DJ. All the speakers were not utilized. The screens were not on. It was dark, even the people on stage asked for more lighting TWICE. There were standing constantly where my other had to finally ask the people to sit down. I don't feel the artist gave their best. Lalah didn't even announce she was doing her last song. when she did she waved her hand real dry and said bye. She didn't sing many of her own songs, but she did other artist songs. Wow. Raheem kept skipping his songs because some people wasn't singing back. It was a total mess. I will never come back here again even for a free concert
.They lied about being ADA accessible, they are not
Great atmosphere and just great time!! Excellent acoustics for the concert.
This is where we go to church when New Life Covenant Oakwood has service on Sunday three times.
UIC School of Architecture, Design and Arts Graduation ceremony... VERY organised, FREE PARKING for the event. Super clean.
No cameras allowed. For a graduation? (They didn't take our cell phones.)
Seats are relatively comfortable, place was pretty clean. Only real issues are that the food is completely over priced and the water from the bathroom sinks is scalding hot.
Men's bathrooms urnals are sitting on top of each other. No way to use them all. They ran out of everything, and the beer line took way to long.
The biggest reason is they had to POUR A BEER FROM A CAN INTO A PLASTIC CUP. WHAT A @#$&&$@ WASTE. Waste of everyones time, nasty plastic waste, money and for NO REASON.
Rip offs , stay away , unless you really need to go there
I was there for my sister's graduation plenty of security and well organized
First time here in years!!! I attended a amazing New Life service and so happy that I did!
The seats were too close and the concrete stairs to steep
I had a great time at this Venue. Love the location and convenience.
Smaller arena that provides good viewing experience. Limited food options and slow lines make it hard to have a well-rounded experience.
I've been to the venue several times...the most recent, to attend a concert. Every seat is an acceptable view. I was fortunate to have floor level seating, however, I did not like the "airiness" of the auditorium. If, a little more cozy, this is the ideal venue for shows!!
Love fight nights? Love Rollerblade Fights? What about Stand up Comedy? If the answer is yes, then this is the place for you! They have perfect seating and nice food, they also serve alcohol, but they do ask for ID, so be aware.
Tell people ahead of time that they can't bring a backpack in through email. Especially for a concert right after work. Or have a coat check instead of barring people who bought tickets to the event from entering if they brought their workbag.
Was very good customer service and the people we're nice and it was clean.
I remember when the UIC Pavilion was home to WWF and NWA pro wrestling shows. I also remember when UIC Flames HOCKEY games were played there...before the school ditched its varsity hockey program to pay more attention to basketball (hiring Jimmy Collins as head coach). The Flames got some respect, but not as much as it would've liked. Still...the UIC Pavilion is a good arena for the school.
Made us seniors stand in heat over 1 hr. No help from security.
2nd rate stadium charging 1st rate prices with a staff that can't handle the 2nd rate capacity. No re-entry? I have been to small stadiums that have a smoking section. This stadium doesn't even have a scan out / scan in feature. The UC has that!
Clean, big, everything you could ask for in a pavilion.
If this venue had bag check, then this would be a five star review. I understand why there are safety requirements for 'Large' bags in this arena.(especially given the area) However some people came from all over the united states or even globally last weekend. And a lot of people were turned away at the door due to their bag requirements. I was barely able to find a place to store my belongings, because as most people do, I took the train.
there's a simple way to fix this problem. When entertainers have events here, ADVERTISE THIS BETTER. Or get with the times and have some sort of bag check system.
Cozy place to see a concert. Plenty of parking ($20). Don't sit on the lower level or you will be standing the entire concert or looking at someone's back side.
It could be better, food prices are outrageous $7 for a pretzel, slice of pizza is $7 I could think of places I could get 2 pizza pies for that price. Other than that nice facility.
Visit was amazing because Pastor Hannah was preaching my Sister invited me.
I did not like it for the VNL event. Very small and old. I prefer Omaha or Lincoln Nebraska
They did a great job hosting FIVB and the fans were amazing. Very clean place
Ridiculous for parking. Never saw concert. Would have been over an hour late. Too cold to walk a mile in heels.
The UIC Pavilion is a great place to see a show. Many a historic evenings have taken place at this site including Phish's epic 1994 stops in June and November, a 3 night run in November 98 and just this past August a scorching (literally and figuratively) 3 night run that many argue are among the band's best in recent memory. A little overzealous security on the outside but once you're in the sound is stellar, the view good from anywhere, and it's pretty easy to get into and out of both pre and post show. I always enjoy taking in a show at the UIC Pav and would encourage everybody to see your favorite band at this spot if they are here.
Enjoyed graduation of my neice who got her master's degree
Discrase. 50 minutes to get tickets, show was 40 minutes in running as I got in. My first and last show at the arena. Bob Dylan.
Absolutely lovely arena with a massive amount of seats, get there a little early to find your seats only downside is the concession setup is kind of confusing
Went for the Obama Democratic convention and the doors were closed for ticket holxerseven though people came out and the arena wasn't full. The security blocked the doors so there wasn5 any visibility and they weren't very friendly or courteous.
The sound quality was poor
Seating was a nightmare.
Paid $100.00 + to see most concert goers standing up recording the performances
Very difficult to see the performance.
I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS FACILITY, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
I was there for my son graduation the place was all right it was the people who would stand right in first of us which block my view.
Terrible and overpriced food but other than that it s nice
Great sound and video system. We attended a graduation here.
Food prices are ridiculous though overall a nice venue
Nice big arena for events. Easy to get in and out of.
Went for wing fest was great news to watch temperature of bathroom sinks was so hot almost made it unbearable to wash hands
