No good! Very long processing for claims. Rude claims supervisor! They act as if by fulfilling my claim they're doing me a favor! I'll be leaving this terrible insurance company very soon! Looks as if all their staff are young kids. As you walk into the main office 575 Jericho turnpike... All the staff are on their cell phones! I cannot believe my agent referred my to this place. I would not recommend you use this agency to insure a wet paper bag! If there was a lower rating than poor/fair on Google that I could give, I would.

this company took my money and then tell me that my mile dont match my location i live i queens and i drive for pleasure and take the train to work since it so hard to find parking in the city so for that reason now they send me a notice of cancellation i was fine with geico for 11 years never had a problem with this company here within less then 30 days gave me issue to the point where i almost had my car in street without insurances this is one company that doesnt know how to do business and make money they refuse good paying people with good driving record bunch of idiots

I had been with GEICO for a combined 20 years plus. Last week was speaking with a friend and the topic of car insurance came up. I found out he was paying less than half of my premium. We are same age, I have no moving violations/DWI/accidents on my record. I called GEICO and asked why my premium was so much more. The representative said she could give me a definitive answer and that each individual policy is "like a fingerprint" no two can be matched. She did offer to bundle homeowners insurance which would save me $4.00 per month! I began shopping and quotes were all over the ballpark. TSC mailed me a quote with substantial savings. Hesitatant because of all the bait and switch out there, I decided to call.
I called and spoke to Mike. He was very helpful,went over everything gathered all my information in ten minutes and advised the quote was real and I could begin the policy with a very reasonable initial payment. I went to the office today met a helpful Tatiana and initiated the policy at a savings OVER HALF what a long time GEICO customer was paying. Strongly advise you give them a call!
Update: As stated was with GEICO for many years. Was not unusual to wait on hold from customer service for over 45 minutes. And when I changed vehicles to wait a full day to receive new insurance cards. I recently changed vehicles as usual phone was answered within a few minutes and the new ID card was emailed in less than two minutes!
11/2020 Update:. As with millions of others this horrific pandemic has caused me tremendous loss personal and financial struggles. Came time to renew my policy they worked with me. Dina at the front desk is always pleasant and Incredibly helpful to deal with. I went to the office and presented Dina with some documents and she assured me that a Supervisor would contact me by the end of the day. Nine times out of 10 that means you might get a call within 2 or 3 days. However Tyque called me within an hour.And she was extremely professional and attentive.
During the voicemail prompts they refer to callers us as "existing friends or family" in this impersonal and cold business environment we usually deal with, TSC is truly a welcome exception!

After trying unsuccessfully to get a claim paid through the insurance company of the person who hit me, TSC took over, paid me for the claim, and is now going after that other insurance company to pay them and make up for my deductible. They will also supply me with a rental car while my car is being repaired. Thank you, TSC.

Got a quote and they asked so many personal questions. It felt like I was applying for a house loan. And in top of that the insurance was for my daughter who gos to clllage. They called me back and said they couldn't approve my daughter for auto insurance because she doesn't meet the driving distance from my house to her college. When has insurance companies approve you auto insurance based on driving distance. That's why it got a one star but if I can give it -10 I would. If you are shopping for auto insurance please go to big companies don't trust tsc insurance they are a fraud. No wonder they have so many bad reviews and they are being investigated by the better business bureau. Do your research before you try this company.

Why do you not have (minus) star rating??? This is the WORST insurance company. Sent me a quote in the mail...I called them...
Had to answer questions which in my opinion have NOTHING to do with car insurance...fair enough I guess. So after one hour, yup one hour! on the phone, they come back and say they cannot insure me do to a claim I had from last insurance company....my car was parked and hit, filed a claim, paid the $500 deductible, car fixed and done right? Well it is WRONG to TSC.... Sir, we cannot insure you due to underwriting guidelines... So let me ask you, WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING INSURANCE IF YOU GET PUNISHED FOR USING IT?????? Do not waste your time even trying to get a quote. I also think anybody who put five stars is bogus, probably family members of employees.

So far I am a satisfied customer. As long as they continue to to so, I will stay with them for a long time. Thank you Chris.

do not waste your time making this insurance. I paid for a year of insurance, but after a few months they sent mail where they need more information. I did it on the mail and online! after they sent me a mail where my Insurance is canceled. I there are no accidents and tickets for my entire experience of driving 5 years. I am willing to pay more at another insurance company but not have to deal with this cheap insurance company anymore. I will advise all my friends not to waste their time using this insurance company.

In September 2018 i signed up TSC Insurance company. I explained i had a open claim with my previous insurance company for vandalism to my car. That my previous insurance company excepted the claim and are going to fix my car. TSC Insurance said that's not a problem and i was approved.After signing up,paying and being approved i received a letter in the mail saying if i do not show them proof of having 6 months of insurance before them that they were going to lapse me on Oct 12.So i called my previous insurance company and got them proof, fixed that problem.Then i received another letter in the mail saying do to exclusive claims they are going to lapse me, but i didnt have exclusive claims i only had one claim.After proving that, TSC Insurance said ok we fixed the problem we only see one claim but now we need a POA (Proof Of Accident) Letter, so provided one and sent it to them. On November 12,2018 i went to pay my premium and i couldnt online or over the phone so i spoke to TSC Insurance agents and told her i am trying to pay my premium and it wont let me so she asked for my policy number put me on hold and came back on the phone and said you cant pay it because we are lapsing you as of today and cant reinstate the policy due to a open claim. I told her you guys knew i had a open claim before you approved me.This is not right you took alil over $500 and now your going to drop me with no warning no nothing. She said sorry.On top of all this the DMV dont even see TSC Insurance in the system that i even had insurance with them for the past two months. Now i look like i have a 3 month lapse in insurance.NY BBB wont even help get my money back. Do yourself a favor if you bump into this insurance company run far away. Dont sign up They will take your money and not help you.The way they act i dont even think they would help you if you got into a car accident.SCAMMERS. Not professional at all and there customers service is rude and nasty. Just by the looks of it you can see in these google reviews that this company ONLY answers good reviews instead of commented and help the people they messed over... SCAMMERS!! HORRIBLE!!

They continued to call me I had to block their number and they started calling me PRIVATE I never really leave reviews but all the signs are there! TSC Direct Auto insurance is a scam, a horrible company. I have ten years of great driving record, never had a ticket, work for the city of NY, very good credit and they tried to increase my rate with a $700.00 two months into the insurance. They requested that i fill the same application that i have already filled online initially when first joined, when i submitted it to them, they became very intrusive with their questionnaire as far as where did you live ten years ago, show proof of all your mileage that you used in your car for the last 2 years, the address of your job, the info on why did you travel for 67 miles, where did you go etc. Their questions is as if you are on a job interview about your very personal life. Their scams is to offer cheap prices, get the customers so that they may advertise about the amount of customers they have and then drop your business. If such intrusion in your personal lives, imagine putting in for a claim God forbid you get into an accident? they will give you hell to pay your claim. JOIN THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK, THEY ARE HORRIBLE

Today I applied and had the pleasure of speaking to Renee who is, in my opinion, the best customer service rep I ve ever come across! Renee was nice, knowledgeable and very informative. She let me know everything upfront so I won t have any surprise fees in the future! I know it s only the first day but so far so good! TSC has me paying $118 less (monthly) than progressive. Less money For the SAME coverages is always a plus in my book! I m looking forward to this..!!

Interesting company. I just tried to apply and it was declined. Clean records for the last 8 years. I was just told that I had excessive mileage (4000 miles per year). That's fine, I am still with Geico and USAA. If any information changes in the last 6 months, you have to wait another 6 months to apply. Anyways, don't bother with this company. Try Geico first.. If you are military, try USAA first. Then liberty Mutual... Otherwise this is not exactly a company you should go with.

NOTICE HOW ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FROM "A Google User" and all the negative reviews are from real users.

I totally agree with other real reviewers you will need a secretary to complete all their paperwork and arbitrary requests. It took me 2 weeks!

I also had the same experience after I paid and got my insurance cards and had my car inspected they started sending me more arbitrary requests. They asked me about a car I had traded in 7 months earlier

I told them I don't have the answers to their questions because I no longer own that car. I was a bit snarky at this point because I had to jump through hoops to get all the information they asked for before signing on. Sometimes the same info written differently! This all happened via email.

They say they sent me a cancelation notice by mail which I never received like several other documents they supposedly sent me by mail.

They canceled my coverage about 45 days after it started because I couldn't answer their questions. And like another reviewer, I HAD NO IDEA! If I didn't call them to ask a question about my policy I would still not know because it's been over a month since they "mailed" me my cancellation and I still haven't received a refund for the 10 months remaining on my policy.

I honestly believe they intentionally "lost" my cancelation letter because they didn't like my attitude after they asked me more questions about a car I haven't owned in over half a year.

They were also very nasty when I asked them what was going on and why they didn't tell me how to get the information they wanted. They told me they could have told me if I had called them but up to this point we had been communicating by email.

I demanded proof of the cancelation notice. I don't think I will ever get it because I don't believe they ever sent it. And if I can, I will sue them for having me drive around with no insurance for 10 days. Worst experience ever.

I called Geico and I got better coverage for less money and it took 20 minutes not 2 weeks. And I don't expect Geico to keep harassing me for more documents.

My advice, go with a reputable insurance company. TSC Direct doesn't care about you. They WILL screw you if it suits them!

I contacted my auto insurance company, TSC, after some kicked-up road debris put a small crack in my windshield. There is full glass coverage on my policy. The TSC representative suggested a national auto glass repair/replace business that is aligned with TSC coverage limit. I initially had been concerned about who I should turn to for repair. Using the recommendation, I was able to have the repair done for no cost. I received quick, accurate information from TSC and further communication and verification was handled by the repair facility. Couldn't have been easier, but could have been pretty costly had I gone to car dealer service shop. Very pleased with the seamless coordination and service.

If you would like to hire a secretary to file all the paperwork this company requires you would still not save a dime by using them. I filled out their lengthy application online, received my quote, then called the next morning to start the policy. When they answered the phone I was told that none of the information I filled out the night before was saved and I had to start the lengthy process all over again on the telephone. After completing the process I was told there was an issue with one of my vehicles. They said their underwriter claimed my Pontiac G6 was uninsurable because it was considered a high performance racing car. My G6 is a 4 door sedan with a 4 cylinder engine. I had to fax the title over to them and then the next day they began my coverage. After making the first initial installment and then one monthly payment I was sent a letter for additional information regarding an accident my wife had in 2015 , they also wanted to see my grown sons proof of insurance, and my proof of insurance for the last 18 months. Being that they already accepted my money and began my policy I considered this an odd request. I then faxed them the information they needed, time stamped from the fax machine in the Duty Lieutenants office from the Sheriffs Office where I work. I faxed that information over on a Friday at 1400 hrs. The following Tuesday I went online to pay my bill and was told that my policy was cancelled. They said I failed to provide the proper documentation. My secretary must have been off that day and missed something...lol. Needless to say I did not try to renew with this sham of an insurance company but was still owed a refund from my policy. This was June 26th, 2017, today is July 12th 2017 and I have yet to receive my refund. I was told it was mailed out on the 27th of June. Now I have to drive from Manorville into Nassau County to pick up my money that they owe me. All in all, the entire process was time consuming, frustrating, and completely unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone and I have filed complaints with the NY State Department of Finance which regulates insurance companies in NY State, the BBB, and the Attorney Generals Office. I have told many people how poorly I was treated by this third rate insurance company and will tell anyone who listens how poorly they treat their paying customers.

This company will not return your phone call. They have huge marketing that will make you believe they put their clients first. However nothing is further from the truth. The adjusters and contractors they use come to your house and do not spend quality time reviewing damages to your property. The adjusters don't even give courtesy calls when they show up or when they are not going to show up. When you need help the most, like after this most recent storm sandy, they are very inefficient in handling claims. Very unsatisfied and I do not recommend them. I will be switching my insurance when I get a chance.

They decided not to renew my annual insurance because my wife changed employment that's only a 30 minute commute from home. Her original commute was over an hour from home when we initially applied and got approved for this insurance. Google maps and MapQuest both show my wife's new employement location is closer to home than the previous one. They make no sense, I have a clean record and policy was in good standing. If you plan on commuting over 30 minutes a day to work, do not choose this company. They will deny you.

Avoid the time lost and headaches dealing with them. They lure you in , then only to throw you away. They have a horrible process of determining whether they want to insure an individual for car insurance. I had switched hoping to lower my insurance cost. I took time and answered all their questionnaire and provided all information they requested to set up a policy. Then I had to take a day off to go to one of their inspection locations to show the condition and status of the car, so they could take photos of the car, in order to confirm OKAY covering my car under their insurance.

After all that time and effort, less than two months later my policy was CANCELLED by their underwriting department because of an incident that was not my fault (a car side-swiped me and drove away). Luckily, I got the person's plate# and called my insurance right away to report and they did estimate and that hit-n-run car's insurance covered all damages). They also told me they canceled covering me, because of the high mileage from the previous year, which was my first year owning the car and wanted to enjoy driving anywhere on weekends and vacations away from home, they said they can't risk covering that mileage. I estimated my mileage best as I'd expected upon competing their questionnaire from that point on. It's unfair to judge my mileage on that one year and then to cancel me because of that. For better business/underwriter practice, they should allow the new year under my coverage to take place, and would have seen that my mileage was within what I put on the questionnaire. If at that point only after the year, if it went beyond what they covered me, then I would understand why they would cancel me. VERY POOR business practice and don't see how they can sustain keeping clients. Also, as I had paid a full year's fee in advance, I had to chase them down for my prorated refund. It took them over 6-weeks to receive my prorated refund check......thankfully their check did not bounce.... I certainly would never refer them to any of my family nor friends.

From the moment that I called in to TSC direct and told the young lady I was involved in an accident I was made sure
that as long as I was okay. She was there to help me go through the process of what to do with paperwork etc. I would say she really calmed me. Also a nice gentleman followed through with questions that I had. TSC Direct is the one place to purchase your insurance.

Horrible insurance company. Horrible customer service.
I received the offer by mail from this company and they offered an auto insurance.It was kind of a good deal and since my current auto policy with another company was going to expired very soon I decided to change a company. I picked my coverage up and filled the application. The application was sent and I got back that the representative was going to contact me shortly. I was waiting for about 2 hours but never got back.It was about 6 p.m. already and I called up to the company. The lady told me that all representatives finished their work for that day and if she could find somebody he or she was going to give me a call. I got a call two days later only and since I was in the middle of something I couldn t take their call. They just left a message asking call them back.

However, the other day I got a letter by mail from the company explaining that they can not provide me with an auto insurance because of excessive daily usage/ mileage is not within underwriting standard.. When I was filling out my application I pointed out that I drive about 10-12K per year....

So stay away from this insurance company.

UPDATE: I've just read the comment that the company wrote after my review and I'd like to add some information, particularly about their "competitive rates" and some of my background information. So their rate just $15 less Geico's rate but nothing comparison with customer service and usability of the web site.
Also, I don't really understand what's kind of risks they are talking about. I've never been involved in an car accident and I have no any traffic tickets...

Claim was paid fairly. They have no service on weekends. I called on a Saturday and left info with an answering service Got a call back on Monday. My vehicle was seen by an adjuster on following Monday, after 9 days reporting the accident Wish it was sooner. I have been their customer for 25 years. Their premiums are the lowest around if you have a good driving record. Despite their slowness, I'm planning to stay with them.

But if you want to put that person on they say they can t because they don t live with you. And when I looked at the positive reviews talking about how nice Oliver was or other reps I decided to call and ask to speak to them guess what they have no one working there by that name.So it tells me that the good reviews are bogus probably from within the company

Very unprofessional when I request my quote they say I need to pay certain amount at month I found very reasonable but after one month they send me a letter on a Friday saying they give me till Monday to send proof that I was insurance at least 2 years in the other company if I dont send that by that day the will revoke my insurance... I found that dumb because who will get all that info that they are asking on a weekend when the insurance company is closed.. and after a week they decide by themselves to increase my insurance 160 dollars more without telling me and I found out when the bank notify that they withdraw 385 dollars from my bank account.

They give you cheap auto quote just to get your attention and start harrasing after you start the policy.They ask you unnecessary personal questions and about other people that lives with you that has nothing to do with the policy. Stay away from them. They are BIG MISTAKE!!

I switched to TSC from GEICO to save about 30% on car insurance. I provided all information they requested to set up the policy. Two months later my policy was CANCELLED by their underwriting department because my wife has a learner's permit. Now if I get back to GEICO my policy premium will go up 50% from the previous due to coverage interruption. All insurance companies quote higher premiums when you are not continuously covered with the same insurer. That's a HORRIBLE business by TSC. I wonder how many other customers lost their money because their policy was cancelled by TSC.. KEEP AWAY!

FYI I had TSC Direct many years ago left them and went to Allstate just for better price. Anyways called them today was rejected because I drive 12 miles a day one way to work. This insurance company is good for someone who puts there car in a parking garage and uses it as a classic vehicle. More like a museum for cars. Excellent credit no accidents no tickets and disapproved. Haha I guess TSC wants to insure people who do not drive. The agent was rude as well. Lol. I don't get it? I gave the address where I go to work, then they said we need to run your credit. They put me on hold for a few minutes says we are running your credit come back online and say sorry we can't insure you because you drive to work to far. My question is why run my credit to denie me if you could of denied me right of the bat before running my credit. I told you where I work prior to running my credit. So to me it was a lie. Did my credit report convince you that I was driving one way to my job???? Or was it something else? My recommendation is for your employees to be more helpful and respectful. If we explain something to them they should not get snippy on the phone. We are customers trying to make sure we are getting all info correct. You will always get customers because you are cheaper. The question is when something goes wrong how will you handel it??? Customers pay attention A- rated not A++ another . Get cheaper price but get ready for what's coming with it. From a person who rarely writes a negative comment . To busy to write none sense but this attitude was deserving of my time. There slogan is "BETTER DRIVERS DESERVE BETTER RATES". They are right they give better rates because you CAN'T DRIVE!!! Of course you are a better driver and get better rates when you don't drive! Lol. Less driving, less chance of accident = no pay out! So get this insurance but don't drive. Take public transportation it will save you GAS, MILES, TICKETS, AGGRAVATION. More importantly the company savrs you 200 hundred dollars a year but tell you when you can drive. Maybe I should call TSC and notify them when I drive somewhere and how many miles.
