Bad staff, my mom is dizzy, has been in and out of the hospital here several times, so she has a file, and they made her wait 5 hours to get into ER then placed her on a broken ER bed i was going to tell them, waited for a nurse at the station, This blonde in grey with ermge on her shirt shouts at me to wait in the room for the doctor, at first I thought she was talking to someone else, but made eye contact with me, and said it again didnt ask what i needed and just walked away. My mom heard it and was fed up with waiting and the way they treated her, i advice everyone to pull their donations to this hospital to show them they cant go around treating people and assume things. You will never see my donations again very very disappointed you can keep your friends of the hospital garbage. I hope your board of director see this and fire that blonde nurse. And hire people that care. You have lost my trust and all my friends that donate.

If I could give this hospital no stars I would! I went to the ER because I was having severe abdominal pain and I arrived there at 12PM and I did see a doctor / nurse quickly however since they put me through RAZ (Rapid Assessment Zone) and then by 9PM they decided I need to be admitted based on my symptoms and I didn't get upstairs into a room until 12:45AM and it was a semi-private room, the lighting in the hospital was dull, the sheets were dingy, it smelled terrible, the air quality was stifling, the temperature in the hospital was warm. What I learned in school about warm environments is that microbes (bacteria) thrive in moist, warm environments and this hospital definitely didn't kill no infections with the temp they had in there. It should've been colder to kill infections!! My mom came by to visit me and she started to feel unwell after the visit and she was perfectly healthy before.. this place is disgusting. It's an abomination to be called a HOSPITAL. The nurses are lazy, they don't know how to do their job, they're never to be found at the nurses station, you'll always find them talking about nonsense, stuffing their face with food and walking past rooms without checking on their patients properly. The old lady I had in the room next to me I think she had dementia or something but she was dying slowly and they just didn't seem to care and made fun of her condition. This place is terrible, I thought Brampton Civic was bad and I never thought I would say another hospital would be worse than Brampton Civic haha. If I'm dying I'm never going to Trillium in Mississauga, I rather die than go there. That place is terrible!! Doctors don't seem to know how to read charts either. I'm anemic and I told them just in case and they were like oh you're anemic?? Like oh my gosh! If I didn't tell you I could've died during the procedure they were about to perform on me. I also had a picc line (it's like an IV that runs to your heart to push medication through your body quicker) and this one female was trying to push meds in my picc line to put me asleep instead of connecting another line to my picc line to push meds through that to put me asleep. Someone had to stop her.. I get people learn from training on the job but that's just ridiculous ........ NEVER GO HERE !
for 3 days after visit that hospital they forgot give me antibiotics what doctor prescribe unbelievable. People so irresponsible. That lead to more complication and health problem.
i was admitted at this hospital, based on my experience.. everyone is busy coping up with every patients needs.. of course, as we all know this staff will have to attend to the person who has life threathing, and many patients doesnt understand that. it is very tiring for the doctors and nurses and all other staff to do their jobs dealing with different kind of sickness and with all complains and whining. Since i was admitted on the time of covid, i myself make sure that im aware what service would i be expecting...Patience is all we need. we all have pains and aches. and we will be looked after as soon as posible... the doctors and staff already know each patients situation once you register, if incase there is a delay on seeing you, remember you are not the only one in that big facility, and there could be someone who has a worst case than you... so all patients really have to understand, and due to this pandemic, if they cant get you a room, because its all gone, insisting, complains, whinning is not what this workers needs for additional stress for them, dont forget they are also human beings... Pls try our best to respect and give in consideration to all the Doctors and staff working in this field... Patience , respect, and consideration, and hope. i would like to thank the paramedics, who help me and the Doctors and Nurses and all other staff... you guys did a great excellent job... may god bless you all .
I had a good experience in ER when I took my toddler for breathing issues. There was only one person in front of me at the time. I went on Thursday morning before 9am. The staff was really friendly and helped ease my daughter into allowing them to check her temperature. I had Kiddy and I think it was Juan as nurses in the ER to assist with my super strong kid who had to be held down to use the nebulizer. I appreciate their patience. They provided me with a banana popsicle after we gave medicine and hot water to sanitize the soother that fell on the ground, which was lost but then found. After we were transferred to Pediatrics for an overnight stay and we had Lisa and Melanie as our nurses. They were super friendly and great. Although the hospital is older than credit valley, I never regret coming here because the staff is nice. The front desk nurse even stopped by to say Hi with stickers when she looked like she was on her break. The X ray technicians were really understanding as well.
The customer service is terrible! The people on the reception are very rude and with no respect! I just called to confirm my appointment appointment for c.t scan or I can't remember what it called its a scan for my brain they give me the appointment 2 month ago for June and I was calling to make sure when is my appointment date and time because I don't want to miss it! I've been waiting for five months! i called and reseption answerd the phone and she was so rude with no respect she so mad! And aggressive!! She was nice when she first answerd the phone speaking to someone beside her or her friend saying on the phone to them when she pick up my call (omg I mess it up! And it's really ridiculous! Are you going now..) and me on the phone with her! Then when she answered me she turned to totally someone disrespectful! Rude! And mean and aggressive!! She so scary the way she speak I felt really chucked how she can be allowed or have the permission to treat the patients in this terrible way! And I asked her to please if she can repeat what time? She said and in very rude mean way! Helloooo! I just told you! I said I'm sorry I didn't hear you and She said right after ( you know wait!) and she put me on hold for over 17 mins! And when she get back to me she said Hello I said hello and she hung up the phone on me!!! All of this just because I want to confirm and not miss my appointment! And I told her my last name Is Eid and my first name is Salam and it take her few second to go to her computer system and pull up my appointment! I think she's not working for free! And she's getting paid for her job! And she shouldn't be treating the patients like an animals!
Do not have a baby here! Absolutely worst experience of my life!! I had been warned by two of my neighbours that Trillium health Center Queensway was not a good hospital to have a baby at, but Regrettably did not take their advice! My experience delivering at this hospital still haunts me to this day, 3 months later. First off the intake nurses didn t believe my water broke and made me wait in labour assessment for over two hours having painful contractions on my own-(due to covid), they Rudely made comments about how they didn t believe my story about my water breaking at home. The PH strips didn t turn the Shade it was suppose to turn which is not a 100% accurate test. Finally when the doctor came he was able to confirm my water had broke. Once I got to labour and delivery my husband was able to come in with me, and my nurse informed me that to make my labour go by quicker she was going to stretch my cervix with her finger each time she checked my dilation. I m not sure if this is practice that should have been takin place by a nurse, but a faster labour sounded good to me. A couple hours later my nurse informed me that she could stretch my cervix to 8 cms and that I would likely have my baby anytime. She went on break, and while on break a nurse that was covering her checked my dilation and informed me that I was only 6.5 cms and that my cervix was puffy . Over two hours later when my nurse got back she checked my cervix again and said that my dilation was now 6.5 and my cervix was hard . After many hours later the doctor said my cervix was injured and not going to dilate any further, so I had to go for a emergency csection, the spinal anesthesia didn t work and I had to be put out under general anesthesia. I didn t meet my daughter until 40 minutes after she was born, I am absolutely heart broken about my experience, when I woke up in the O.R. my baby was not there, and I had no idea where she was, this is very upsetting for a new mom! My husband was also not allowed to be there for the birth which is upsetting for both of us. When In recovery I finally got to meet my baby girl, seconds after Holding my baby for the first time this nurse comes up To me and says hey! Do you remember me?! I was one of the intake nurses from last night when you came in, (I m trying to enjoy meeting my daughter for the first time and she s rudely interjecting on my moment) then she chuckled and smirked and said you don t look nearly as hot as you did when you came in! I could not believe the audacity of this nurse to make such a rude comment to a mother who just went through hell and is meeting there baby for the first time. My husband was in recovery with me and was also blown away by the comment. That nurse does not deserve to work with humans let alone new mothers and baby s. Absolutely no bedside manner. I had a previous emergency c section 5 years ago in Hamilton at McMaster hospital, although I wasn t happy about the outcome of the csection at least the nurses and staff were professional and amazing to deal with, unlike Trillium. Then to top it off the report from the hospital which states why I had the emergency csection says I had it because of fetal heart rate tracing which is not what was told to me by the doctor before I went for surgery, he specifically said it was because my cervix, and not Fetal heart rate tracing, I can t help but feel they are covering up for malpractice and that the nurse should not have been stretching my cervix during labour. The labour and delivery department is terrible at this hospital.
My doctor referred me to Trillium. It is so clean and well organized. The doctor, nurse every member related to the hostpital are so friendly. A patient will never feel bore here. I haven t wait long. Just entered into in and came back after a little time. I can't give it a bad review. Five star!
Horrible hospital people are so rude and snobby I do NOT recommend this hospital and wait times are ridiculous! I broke my arm and it took them 4 hours to get my X-rays.
We just came back from visiting my father in law who was in a room in Cardiac ICU. The room was disgusting and not cleaned...cracks and dirt on the floor. I took pictures...this is what happens when government cuts occur and hospitals pay their management more through outsourcing their cleaning services and other essential services. Shame on Ontario!
(5 stars yes - Loved it? No one loves a hospital) I am quite amazed by all the negative reviews here. I have nothing but praise from the moment I walked in (ER) to the moment I left the hospital. Unknown at the time but I was admitted for appendicitis. Luckily I did arrive at a good time where it wasn't so busy yet (just after 5am) and I was promptly taken care of. I believe within the hour I was hooked up to an iv and pain meds. Wait times were a bit long however, I expect this with any hospital in Canada. I come prepared for such wait times. It is something we are unfortunately accustomed to. I was impressed by all the staff and how pleasant and happy everyone seemed to be working there or handling patients. Lots of young new blood which is nice to see (ER area). Being transferred to a semi-private room later in the day, the RN's that were taking care of me were very attentive and pleasant to have around. They work hard and are very supportive to your needs. Thank you Elaine and Gerard and, to the rest of the staff that had to deal with my needs throughout my stay. Natalie Francoeur
Horrible service. My dad required surgery and they thought it wasn t urgent so they postponed it for 2 months. Went after the months and were told to wait another 2 months because we were too late to reach the hospital. They only had one slot open for 2:45 and we couldn t reach. We were late because they called him to another building near by to sign forms.
UPDATED: i will enumerate the ugly experiences i had in this hospital. I had a CS delivery and after a few hours a nurse encouraged me to stand up and as I stood up my blood flowed on the floor.
1. The nurse wiped ONLY the floor near my bed with a towel. But didn't bother to wipe the rest that dripped because she had me to walk all the way to the washroom.
2. The nurse did not bother to call up a cleaning staff to wipe off the stains on the floor. I had to wipe some of the areas.
3. Since no one came to clean up our room, we can smell the stench of blood. Hence all throughout my stay here (5 days) I had to deal with this problem.
4. I requested for a cleaning staff for our room a couple of times. No one came.
5. For some reason one cleaning staff skipped our room for collecting our garbage. So i had to call them up again. So insane.
6. For some reason, I was not given any pain medication after surgery (although i should have according to my OB). And on day 1 i was asked to get up on my bed with tremendous pain. Hence I stayed at the hospital for 3 more days for pain management because they did not do the right thing.
7. My baby was born 1 month ahead of the due date and the pedia said my baby might have jaundice. They just kept on extracting blood from her for test but never did anything to prevent or resolve the jaundice problem (hence me and my baby had to stay at the hospital again for 2 more days).
8. Nurse staff were all have their own standard for bottle feeding my baby. One would recommend one thing and another would recommend differently. Their advice is not consistent according to the right medical standards and best practices.
9. Some of their facilities are not working well. The buttons on the bed are not working properly. And another bed where I got transferred is uneven or slant.
10. Their foods are crappy and taste alot like those frozen microwaveable meals.
11. Hospital should be a place where a patient should feel comfortable for their recovery and well being. Here in this hospital I feel I would get sick even more.
Fracture Clinic is terrible. Do yourselves a favour and go elsewhere. Nurses and staff are great but the doctors, mainly Dr Abbas do not care about patients.
This comment is only about ER and my visit on Oct.24.12. Rude ,unprofessional staff.Waiting 12 hours.Answering 20 times for the same questions. How many times I heard "I will be with you shortly" and nobody showed up again I don't remember, may be 20 times or more. My previous experience with Trillium was totally different.
Staff is pretty good but they are under staffed, the wait time is always longer when you need something, they don t have supplies in the rooms that you can use after giving birth, private room that we got was cold, i would not recommend going here for labour and delivery.
Worst experience every time I go there so finally decided will never go there again. Worst night staff and Doctors. They will make u sit for hours on the chairs doesn't matter how sick u are. As long as u r not dieng they will force u to go home and come back after. It happened to me every time I went to trillium hospital emergency at erinmills. Nobody will come and see u minimum for atleast 2 hours. My average wait time to see a doctor is 4 hours. No there is no way it's an emergency service. They make u sit and wait for hours on the chair people are literally crying that they need to get attended. But the staff doesn't care all they care about is going to Tim Hortons grabbing coffees and donuts. I would recommend people ur life is more important so don't struggle and stress ur life more by going to such hospitals it will make ur health even worst by sitting and waiting their for 5-6 hours before u get attended. Worst hospital worst staff and worst doctors.
I had an allergic reaction and my throat was swelling up. I took an ambulance where they gave me IM Benadryl and it helped alot. I still got admitted and was told to go to RAZ (rapid assessment zone). The Paramedic told me if it got worse and I had problems breathing again to tell the nurse. I was fine, and waited about 2 hours in RAZ. Then the doctor gave me medications, told me to follow up with family doctor and get allergy testing. I think that even though the wait was long I was not in acute distress and thought it was fair to wait. I also think that the doctor did a good history checking and good assessment. I think the only thing is that it is unfortunate that the RAZ and ER is understaffed and hopefully they will be able to hire more doctors. The doctor did not rush and spent time with me, so I was glad. Overall, as my first ever visit to ER I had a good experience, I felt safe, and I knew if things turned for the worse, I would be taken care of. I think that Trillium is doing the best they can with the resources they have.
If you go to the ER expect to wait 5-8hours and those are on good days. The RAZ (rapid assessment zone) has the worst nurses if you ask them how long it will take they straight up give you attitude. Honeslty your better off going downtown to Toronto general hospital or even Credit Valley hospital. It just doesn't make sense for someone to come to the ER wait 5-8 hours. Theres also another crazy thing where they allow patients priority based on how serious there illness is which totally makes sense but there have been instances where ive seen people hurling non-stop and they got no attention anotherm another girl had a sharp object in her eye and had to wait 2 hours just to see a doctor. Its disapointment to see a hospital like Trillium not focus on patient care.
I have been to the hospital Saturday waiting for 8hours and the doctor was missing to reassess me . I had to sign the discharge form and leave I was in so much pain and exhausted. Left the hospital without any treatment or any assessment. Nurses are so rude. I think our tax money should be used to provide better Health Care.
a really bad hospital. the worst one I've ever seen. I went there with my girlfriend 3 times for emergency. We were treated really bad, we could not see doctor until 4 or 5 am in the morning. We had to wait there for at least 5 hours. And once my girlfriend had an allergy to a kind of penicillin. It was really serious, but no doctor helped us nor came to check until 5am. After 2 mins checking, he just asked us drink more water.
My girlfriend did biopsy there two weeks ago. Even now we still have not get result. If you have cancer, you will die there without doubt.
The worst experience in my Life . Very Rude Nurses playing with cell phones on duty ,and on Fb ,and we are dying from pain or bleeding waiting for hours and hours hoping somebody will come to check you . I will not recommend no body to go in This Hospital on this location never . Some Body should check this and take action there .
this hospital is the most run down hospital that there is. They had no gowns to offer to patients when requested. They told me that laundry wasn't done and gowns were out. This hospital pays no attention to your condition and takes no interest in providing quality care . They left placenta inside my wife and now she is admitted into the hospital with various infections, low blood count , uterus issues , fever, pain, depression . Stay away from this hospital
This hospital is a nightmare. I wanted to avoid coming here at all costs but my doctor wanted me to have an emergency CATScan. Here I am after 12 hours still waiting for my CT Scan. There is no sense of urgency here and their implementation of EPIC the new Ministry Of Health electronic work flow/medical records system is a disaster! No one knows how to use it. It takes 2-3x the time to do basic tasks. There is no schedule or record of where people are in the queue. It's just hurry up and wait here. The CT scan broke and they don't have a back-up-brilliant contingency planning. These are our tax dollars being squandered with Zero service levels to show for it! Very poor management and leadership.
The triage nurse working at 7pm on saturday has to be by far the most rude health worker I've come across, and this is coming from someone who has worked at a hospital before. I don't know why she needs to be sarcastic and condescending when she speaks to people who are already in pain. You can get info from people by being nice to them too and this way they won't be writing bad reviews online, making the whole hospital look bad. If I could rate lower I would, just for her. The other workers were fine.
Much better compared to Osler Brampton ED. Came on a Wed night for ankle fracture eval, they have two routes depending on severity (in William Osler, you can be bleeding to death and be waiting hours). They prioritized my case, and I was out within 3 hours. At William Osler, I'd wait min 6-8 hrs before I even got to see a doc.
Day surgery was run with surgical precision, clock work, polite staff, mandatory safety redundancies on paperwork. Very good experience, highly recommend.
An ok hospital for the most part. The mental health wing needs a lot of work. There is very minimal support given to the families.. The patient is mainly there to be stabilized and then sent off. Most of these patients only see the Dr. a few short minutes a couple times during a stay.
This hospital is the worst place ever in ontario they don't get anything correct and the wait time to see a doctor is over 3hrs they need to step there staff up and get there self on the ball people don't have time to waste at a hospital all day and night this make no sense to me
Very bad experience Especially in emergency nurses very just chit-chat with each other. When ask any question the response was almost an polite insult. They pretend they are busy i know what busy is and on top of it they are not try to hide their laziness. Very very rude emergency nurses.
Parking is a joke - just be prepared to pay $16 and leave the car there all day (if there's even space). I would encourage people to park across the street at 2300 Confederation Parkway -parking is cheaper and they don't seem to care if you are at the hospital.
I have been to this hospital 3 times in the last year. Once to remove a foreign object from my eye, once to seek assistance with an abnormal pain in my knee (from walking/bending), once as a birthing partner to my significant other. The foreign object was removed from my eye in a timely manner, with politely staff & proper "follow up" instructions. My knee pain was assessed, x-rayed, then examined. They told me I was beginning to feel arthritis pains. FORTUNATELY I followed up with a family doctor. They were totally wrong - I had fluid collecting in my knee. The family doctor removed the fluid & gave me a cortisone shot, stating that he would NOT send me back to the hospital because of the horrible initial assessment. (it should have been noticed immediately because of the bulge in my knee & unusual warm temperature of the joint). As a birthing partner I noticed that the "suites" were comfortable, but not all staff were focused on the individual patient. Some treated the birth as a "get it over & move on to the next" situation. The recovery rooms (regular & semi-private) are only set up to comfort the baby and mother. It was very difficult to remain comfortable & be there to support my significant other and help to care for the new born. Again, some staff were exceptionally nice, yet others seemed to be short and uncompasionate.
I was in the emergency with my new born son. The service is awful. This hospital is actually a disgrace to the whole Canadian medical system. Worst nurses, staff and doctors as a whole. Everyone just hanging around talking instead of caring for the patients. Worst absolute worst experience ever. Even if my life depended on it I wouldn t come to this hospital ever again. This is truly the real Garbage class hospital of Ontario. Nobody tends to the patients and the long number of patients waiting in the waiting area attests to that fact. Don t go to this hospital unless u r life depended on it. Absolute Garbage staff and nurses. Rude and awful staff.
Worst visit to any hospital ever. 3 hours bleeding in the hallway before somebody bandaged me up. Didn't clean surfaces or change sheets/sheet covers in triage room between patients. Tiny emergency area, high volume. Little to no organization. Little to no concern care or communication from staff. I would have given negative stars but didn't have the option.
I gave birth at this hospital at the end of July 2018. I had the most wonderful nurses named Winsome and then later on had another nurse naed Lyvette once her shift was over at 7am. They were so accommodating, caring and understanding as it was my first time giving birth (I was somewhat nervous and also excited at the same time). Dr. Chiu (OBGYN) was not my original OBGYN, however it was her day to work at the hospital. She was INCREDIBLE! if it wasn't for her motivation after 3 hours of pushing, I may have just given up. I loved how she was so energetic, funny and had really great bedside manners. But thanks to her and the amazing team of nurses at Trillium I was able to have a natural birth and give birth to a healthy baby.
Sure, the facility may not be comparable or new like Credit Valley Hospital. But I do not regret choosing this hospital. The service they offered was amazing and I really will never forget the different nurses and people who helped me throughout my entire birth experience. Thank you to their staff and I hope that they will see this, because what they do isn't easy and I really commend them for their every effort and love. THANK YOU GUYS !!!!! God bless
I see all these reviews and have to laugh. How ignorant can people be. These doctors and nurses work long hours. Just because you came in doesn't mean they should devote their whole shift to you. There's other people who in help too. Not saying anyone is less important, just saying they have to treat each patient equally. In regards to giving them their time.
I had a surgery done yesterday and I'm so happy with the care I received. Everyone from the initial registration, to the nurses, anesthesiologist and surgeon were lovely and so compassionate.
I just want to give a quick shout out to all the folks who helped me out today. Thank you for your hard work, especially during these times. All the best!
My son, having thrown up 4 times since getting here, and crying non stop is still waiting in the "rapid assessment room" for 4 hours without any doctor or test
I visited the ER at Trillium on Christmas day due to an ear infection. The admission staff were helpful. After waiting for one hour for the doctor, a young white blond gentleman. He looked into my ear and said that there is no infection. I mentioned to him that have pain and annoying sounds inside my left ear. He asked me if I have a cold. I said no, he told me that he cannot see any problems. He said the pain and noise may go away in 3 to 4 days. So I waited for 2 days and problem pain and sound got worst. Went to Toronto general ER. A young female Nurse Practitioner examined my ear and stated that there is a small amount of fluid on the inside of my ear. She gave antibiotics drops and after two days the pain has gone down and the noise also starting to go away. The doctor at the Trillium is either rushes to much or he needs to get better prescription glasses to be able to see that there is fluids inside the ear. He wanted my time.
My wife had brain surgery there. She was very well cared for. ALL the staff there are very accommodating. I only gave 5 stars because that's all that's allowed !
My father was admitted to trillium to have a triple heart bypass surgery. They have a 4-5 day recovery period after you are removed from the ICU. When he was discharged from the ICU which was approximately 12 hours from he was awakened from being sedated, his recovery program was not fulfilled and or met. By day 3-4 my father was experiencing wheezing and coughing because he is asthmatic. They discharged him on the 4th day after recovery, on that day the physiotherapist made him walk up the stairs and walk independently while he was clearly having asthmatic symptoms. (Ie. using his puffers at night) they said he was good to be discharged that day. Bottom line, they rushed him out. Now we are in emergency departments, because he has fluid in his lungs. And it s only by 36 hours since he was discharged. Very dissapointed in their discharging process. He did not have a full days worth of physiotherapy in a healthy state.
Simply unacceptable - when you come to hospital for the planned surgery, have surgery done but then they have no room ready for post-op and keeping my mom in recovery room and don t let me see her. Their excuse we have no beds available. This is horrible. Very disappointing.
Excellent process and services. The duration was great too, please note that this depend on the severity of why you are visiting, they have a very clear prioritization system. The staff was friendly and respectful.
Absolutely useless emergency department staff. Firstly, there were roughly 55-60 people in the emergency room with only 1 nurse that was doing the initial write ups of each patient; while numerous people had to stand in line in an "emergency room" and listen to another staff member constantly remind everyone that exits are being blocked due to the growing lineup. The exits would not be blocked if an adequate amount of staff was working.
I came in with an elderly individual who was suffering from breathing problems due to an allergic reaction from a prescribed drug. After waiting in line and then being questioned over 4 times on how the individual is feeling at the current moment, we were told by the nurse that the individual has nothing wrong with them - a clear sign that we are not on any priority lists to be seen by a doctor within a reasonable time frame. We did not receive any info as to when we could see a doctor, we only knew that it would be "sometime today" - again, this is all meanwhile the individual is having difficulty breathing.
What kind of medical training must one receive in order to tell an individual who clearly has an issue breathing that there is nothing wrong with them? At which point would these staff actually consider a person to need emergency assistance? Clearly an allergic reaction with the potential to suffocate a person is not an emergency. It seems that an individual has to quite literally be on the brink of death in order for these staff members to lift a finger. It is very clear that these medical "professionals" do not care for anything other than swiping your OHIP card. Judging by the reviews made by others, it seems that these sub-par medical professionals have been disregarding patients in a similar way for the past while.
This hospital so bad, I spend 6 hours waiting there, and they do nothing for me, just ask me go home, I will never go there anymore. I'm a pregnant woman. I went to the hospital for emergency treatment after bleeding. I arrived at the hospital at 4 pm and finished the procedures one by one before entering the patient waiting area. I didn't expect that it would take 6 hours until I called at 10 pm. I was so angry ... many new patients came in one after another. The whole waiting area couldn't sit down. Several patients waited for more than 5 hours. Some people couldn't wait and just gave up without watching ... I Really want to say what shit hospital, is there such a doctor? Wait to see the patient's life long gone. What's even more ridiculous is that it was finally my turn to arrive at 10pm, but I waited for another half an hour in the ward. Wow, is the doctor dead? I always make people wait. Then I came to a female doctor and gave I took a blood pressure measurement and said it was normal, and the blood drawn before was normal, and told me to go home ... I was furious. You fucking asked us to wait 6 hours to give me a blood pressure and tell me to go back. Tell me early That's it. I was so badly accused of so long ... I swear I will never go to this place again. After waiting all night, all the patients were complaining, it's time to make a good complaint ...
I've experienced very bad service with this place when my dad was admitted here. At the ICU he as constantly checked on and nurses were very kind and he was acquiring physiotherapy. Once he was moved to medicine respirology he was barely checked on, no physiotherapy members were visiting, it seemed that he was not a priority anymore as he was not receiving the care he needed.
I just had spinal surgery two days ago.I would like to specifically commend a nurse at the cervical spine surgery unit cathy lee.she is exceptional even amazing.she takes time to listen to my concern (chest heaviness) that the other nurses ignored.she took time to explain to me what to expect and she will make aure my pains are addressed.i hope all nurses are like you.God bless you and your team.
This hospital is the worst. They gave my boyfriend a room with no shower. And they took 16?hours to get him a room . They have AWFUL customer service skills. And they said I can t sleep in the same room as him, they tried to get me to sleep in a play pin and i refuse. They give attitude when you ask them simple direction like where to go to find a Tim Hortons. Ugh there is so much more and i ve only been here for 18 hours Some of the nurses here have an attitudes If they can t handle questions from concerned patients and visitors they should NOT work here at all. If i could give this place no stars as a rate i would . So disappointed.
Had baby at this facility and I must say, the team was excellent. From the nurses to the doctor, they kept me calm during my labour experience and they made me feel safe. I highly recommend this place ( only went to maternity)
My experience was okay but I have missed place my contact thingy and I can't seem a way to a way to get a hold of the last Doctor I talked to.....I know it was Dr.M from the Mental heath Ward
I went there today for the endoscopic procedure and it was as good experience as it can be:). The staff were polite, warm, and helpful; the doctor who performed the procedure was very friendly, careful, and did her best to not cause any discomfort. Everything was on time, professional, and I felt safe.
Took my mom to Trillium Health Centre after she was attacked by a german shepherd last weekend. We waited in emergency for an hour and a half before a nurse was able to see her. We waited another hour and half to see a doctor. Three hours of wait time in a health centre department that calls itself emergency is shameful. The employees don't seem like they have any sense of obligation to service the tax payers. I rather take my mother to a private health centre where she will be treated like a customer next time but I guess I'll still be paying the Trillium Health Centre's hotshot doctors and nurses with my tax dollars. If you are reading this and you happen to work for Trillium Health Centre, please let your management know that the only reason they still have a job is because we (tax payers waiting in emergency rooms for hours) can't fire them.
Went to the emergency on July 5, I have loss of hearing in my left ear. Doctor looked in it. Interogated me for some reason. He looked in it again and perforated my ear drum he seemed flustered after he did that. He sent me on my way saying it should get better in a week. Woke up to it bleeding. So great no help here just made it worse. He was the young doctor in the minor treatment area.
went to aim clinic of this hospital, the nurse cough and do not wear mask, and do not even wash hands before drawing blood from me, too dangerous place, wont come again!
Was referred to Dr. El Asray 5yrs., ago. After blasting tumor @ Toronto Hospital, referred by dr., letter sent to her from Toronto Dr. WAS TO FOLLOW UP WITH ME. 5 years later.....Hello???? Good experience w/Trillium. Someone Dropped The Ball WITH ME!
This hospital well known for bad service and pathetic wait times. In my opinion I would rather die then visit this hospital due to the fact if I do not die from natural cause it will be due to the way they examine and treat you.
Horrible how are you a hospital and you can't even find patients that are admitted. You guys need to work on that. Garbage service, a 5 year old kid could do better than the staff.
My 85 yr old Mum waited 48 hours in emergency, she has pneumonia, 48 hrs in the hallway, arrived this morning to find her in a room and ignored and sitting in a bed full of piss and diarrhea. Her leg wound is not being changed since 3 pm yesterday and the blood technician told her to shut up and not talk to him. Lovely service...
55yo man in this Trillium for prostate surgery Aug. 2015 for 4 days, the surgeons were excellent and did 100% work. Some nurses/PDAs at Trillium were loud & got obnoxious when patient (just hours post-op) politely requested to visitors & staff for more quiet; the pee bags were cheap pieces of crap (seriously, go to a store and buy your own higher quality one), there are two call buttons on the beds to call a nurse, one of the buttons doesn't work and is not marked so a heavily sedated patient went into killing pain at 2 am when pee tube backed up into newly stitched up bladder, the hose simply was kinked and needed to be picked up to unkink hose, he was pressing wrong call button for help (he was pressing the one that doesn't work on the bed), this resulted in an E. coli Bacteria Infection in his bladder which (2 weeks later) added another harrowing 5 day emergency hospital stay (patient was in so much pain he said he wanted to die) in a much better hospital in Cobourg where the care was 50x better than Trillium, the nurses in Cobourg made effort to speak softly and quietly and would go out of their way to help patients and their visitors. Trillium said wives could not sleep with patient which was the biggest lie we were told (I met wives in hallways who told me they stayed with their husbands beside their beds for months). Cobourg hospital had zero restrictions on visiting, one night I strolled in at 2am and the nurse there went to the maternity ward to steal me a lounge chair to sleep in, what an angel she was, nobody asked her to do that for me, she felt sorry for me when she saw I was squished like a bug on 2 unconformable chairs. So buyer beware with this Trillium hospital. So many things they could do to quiet this place down, i.e. have everyone treat it like a library, turn off all noises on PDAs and cell phones esp., use a hushed tone for the love of God, these measures are free and doesn't cost anything. ----- Also, the front door is not at the front of the hospital, it's at the side on the east side (Hurontario) next to the above ground parking garage building, that fact alone caused so much confusion for us and visitors. Also, the parking is very expensive and there are no free places to park *anywhere* around in malls for example, where you will not get towed so good luck with that.
Experience at the hospital was fine; however, my wife started being harassed to pay the bill for our private room by phone and text message about a week after the bill arrived by mail.
I don't know why the bill arrived by mail, as I gave the hospital authorization to charge my credit card, but there you go.
Also got charged the full rate for the private room, despite having to spend the night in a semi-private room due to no private rooms being available.
I wouldn't even care, if not for the threatening collection messages.
Worst hospital in the Peel Region, with some of the worst doctors and horrible bedside manners. You'll find the odd nice Dr who remains impartial and focused on treating the issue at hand, but it seems most of the doctors are miserable and treat this place like a soap opera. The way I've heard myself and many other patients being spoken about, apparently behind our backs, is appalling, let alone the rudeness when speaking one on one, very unprofessional.
07/17/2017 edit: This place continues to deliver the worst possible service for urgent care, rude and downtime unethical nurses who can't remain professional. Never again will I or any of my family step foot in this place.
If you have all day to waste come here. 3 hours to see a nurse and another 3 to see the doctor all while the hospital was empty. Nurses just sitting around talking about their personal lives ignoring you when you ask a question. I recieved a needle and was left bleeding out all over the bed and floor for 5 mins, after BEGGING nurse #3 for help because the first 2 ignored and cut their eye at me, she THREW gauze at me and told me to clean it up. Meanwhile a senior citizen died while waiting in the hallway and her daughter was calling for help and no one would help her. Please i urge you, if you can help it DO NOT visit this hospital unless you do not value your life. Patients are definitely not a priority here.
I would give this hospital zero stars!!! but not available. My husband was having chest pain and palpatations and told him to wait bc "other people also having the same thing". So people having a potential heart attack have to just wait hours???!!! But the opioid seeker and the homeless bum got timely care, like thats important . What a disgrace this hospital is, not to mention the rude, uncaring staff!!! JUST HORRIBLE!!
If I could negative ratings, I would. Every bathroom is filthy in the emergency centre as well as majority of the sections on the first floor. The patients are kept in nasty rooms which look like they haven't been cleaned in a long time. The nurses are more worried about finishing their conversation about movies than the actual patients. The only good thing are the doctors that are knowledgeable and seem efficient. I still cannot comprehend how a hospital can maintain such low standards for cleanliness and hygiene.
Waited over 12 hours just to see Dr. No one does anything without approval. Ederly people are treated very badly and half the nurses don't want to deal with them. If possible go elsewhere. Tons of staff but half are doing nothing or pass you to someone else and my favorite that's your nurse over there.
If could, I would give zero star. It is the worst hospital I had been to. I had suffered severe reaction to side effect of the medicine. went there and found out have to educate the nurse and the doctor about the side effect. They have none knowledge or totally wrong knowledge about it. and could have given me the wrong medicine to make it worse. should have read the review here, otherwise wouldn't go to this awful place.
