As a swimmer who swims at TAC for all of my meets and practices, the facility is top-notch. The pool is kept cool, prefect for workouts (though not necessarily what I want at 5:15, but I digress) and the staff are friendly and helpful. Only complaint is the locker rooms, which appear to go for days without cleaning. That said, when weighed against the quality of the actual aquatic facility, it cannot be paralleled throughout the Triangle.

I paid for the locker room rental monthly pass using my credit card without getting a receipt. Before the pass expires they treated me rudely and wanted me to stop using the facility. When I refused they called the police. And the the police sided with them and threatened to arrest me and put me to jail if I don't leave. Worst service and practice. Since I didn't do anything wrong, they have no right to treat me like this.

A truly special place for all swimmers. The facility is maintained religiously almost. The pools in and of themselves are fantastic for swimmers of all skill levels. The competition pool is a good for the more advanced or expert swimmer. The program pool is a good fit for anyone really, from aqua aerobics to individuals still learning how to swim. Then there's the instructional pool, at its max depth it reaches only three and a halve feet. This makes it perfect for families to come in with young children and play around in. Then we have the programs. The Triangle aquatic Center offers a plethora of skill levels for their year around USA swimming team: the Titans. They also offer swim lessons and private lessons. And finally, they have an aqua aerobics class as well. All around, a fantastic facility for everyone in the Triangle.

I moved w/in five minutes of this place in 2007 (year it opened). 50-meter pool was always the best, but facility was run terribly. However, in the last few years or so, this place has done a complete turn around. Now, it's efficient, staff is friendly and accommodating and prices are DOWN. Can NOT beat this place now. I cannot wait for the outdoor 50-meter pool! LOVE every minute I swim there....

If your swimmer is in lane 7 or 8 you cannot see unless you are in 1st row.
Sound is terrible they should turn the volume down for speakers on deck because the time delay causes a reverb that makes it extremely hard to hear anything.

I swim on the TAC Titans, so I have to use the facilities often. The showers are good, the curtains are awful, but the overall of the men and women locker rooms there OK. I don't pay for a locker, I just stick my stuff in a locker and come back after swim practice and find all of my stuff right where I left it. I suggest to not bring your phone or tablet or any other electronics to the locker room. There pools are great, the larger one is called the competition pool hens the name that is where the swim meets are healed. The smaller pool, is called the practice pool, where lap swim, private lessons, and under practice and when the competition pool is full some TAC swim team practices. Then there us a very small pool its called the hot pool, it is meant for very young kids to learn how to swim before getting in the practice pool. The triangle aquatic center is great and I recommend joining the TAC Titans swim team, you will gain speed, get exercise, meet new people and helps you with your swimming skills. I am a swimmer on that team, I enjoy it.

Can't believe they are hosting State Age Groups Champs and the air conditioning is NOT working. This is not the first technical difficulty during a big meet either. There have been others over the years. I've heard but cannot confirm that the A/C has not been working properly all week. They've known about hosting this meet for many months. You would think they would have tried to have it in tip top shape for such an important event. My guess is they don't have the money!!! They should not be allowed to host any big meets ever!

A very nice pool. Lots of seating, but views are not good, unless you sit in the front row. The swimmers liked the deck experience and the feel of the pool. The restaurant has a nice selection of hot and cold food, as well as, drinks. The restroom facilities are adequate, but not that great when the pool building is full of people. Parking is good, but a short walk.

My son and I visited the Triangle aquatic center for his meet today, from Greensborro. My son cut his foot pretty badly and went to the lifeguard room and is terrified of blood so he wouldn't look at his foot. The lifeguard (named Makayla) quickly helped calm him down, bandaged him up, and helped him walk again (my son is a bit of a drama queen and didn't want to walk). With all the craziness of the meet I was so impressed with how this guard handled the situation and I wanted to put a note out to thank TAC for training their guards so well.

We had a terrible experience with the way the meets are organized in this center. Totally commercial and no discipline to ensure the kids are going on time to their respective lanes...nobody is taking proper care to ensure the kids are having the best experience in the meets

This is an excellent facility. The pools are maintained very well and I have always found it to be very clean. The locker rooms and showers are clean as well. This is perhaps one of the best pools in the Triangle area for recreational/lap swimming. The rates are very reasonable as well!

I swim here on the Minor League Titans swim team and let me say this is the best Aquatic Facility I have ever visited. The Coaches and staff are nice and resourceful. Swim teams and lessons are very reliable and have very well trained lifeguards. And during Swim meets don't worry about not being able to find a seat because their Michael Curran Arena Spectator Seating holds a seating Capacity of 2616 comfortable seats.

I found out that this center will be hosting an event called Merfest this weekend. This is where grown people swim in Mermaid tails with children. The sick part is these people have had no background checks and some are knows Porn stars and Perverts. They are being investigated because of this. I am disgusted that the TAC center, sponsored by Christian schools and churches is hosting this! These people are sick! Parents need to be warned!

The very best aquatic center in NC and perhaps the whole east coast. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Management has really taken the center to the next level. Really don't understand some of the bad ratings.

I can't speak for the events or the larger Olympic pools, but my family and I visited the public indoor pool that was available. The pool itself was nice and the price was not bad. The staff however was a different story. We were the only family there at the time, so there wasn't a lifeguard on duty yet. When we asked the staff about the lifeguard, she acted like we just cut her off in traffic or something. When the lifeguard arrived, the first young man was very nice and helpful. When he was relieved by a younger female, her and another young lady kept asking how much longer we were going to be, as if we were a nuisance. They made some comments that sounded like it was our fault that they were in there on lifeguard duty. We left within minutes. We will not be returning.

The TAC facilities are great. They have an instructional pool just for youngsters. My only issue is you could be assigned an instructor that may not be as good as others. My 5 year old daughter had a very young instructor and seemed to just hold the kids up and told them to kick then moved on to the next child. He did this for 7 classes. On the 8th and final class he was replaced by an older instructor to had the children push off the wall and actually swim to her. I was VERY impressed with her training methods. Felt a bit cheated that we wasted 7 sessions. I think if the old instructor was there for all 8 sessions my daughter would be able to swim or atleast more confident in water. She is now 6 and I am signing her up again. If the first session does not go the way I think it should I will pull her ask and get refund.

Need to fix WiFi in the facility, parents need to work while waiting for kids, it's 21st century around! Really annoying that you have to drive to a Starbucks after dropping children to get connection and then come back to pick up the children!
=Edited:
Triangle Aquatic Center replied to my review that they are sorry that I am displeased with their FREE WiFi service, with the emphasis on it being FREE. I am sorry, what is the point of having a FREE WiFi service that doesn't WORK? May be rather than being SORRY about it, it makes sense to actually FIX it?

Pretty clean swimming facility...but they need to replace their life vest in the instructional pool. The staff and life guards are very helpful. I've been going there for 2-3 years now. The mens bathroom is clean, but they dont have soap/shampoo so bring your own

Our family loves Triangle Aquatic Center! The Titan I, II and III swim classes are designed to move children along at their pace. Each level (A, B, C, D, E, F, G) focus on a specific skill (Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, Diving, etc), rather than trying to cover all the swim skills in a 6 week summer course. We love that our son can take swim lessons year-round in a clean, temperature-controlled environment with the ultimate goal of joining the Titan swim team, and the variety of days and times available to take the lessons. We also appreciate how attentive the instructors are, encouraging their students with kind words and "hi-five" hand gestures. Katy, the program director, is very approachable and willing to work with families to accommodate their child's needs with group and private lessons. Through this program, our son will not only have the necessary skills needed to survive in the water, but also to enjoy a life-long love of swimming.

This is a great place for beginners and advanced swimmers. The Titans team is awesome. And the coaches are great.. the teach in a fun away without intimidating the kids. The front desk is very efficient with scheduling and Jen is an awesome manager accommodating everyone to the best of her abilities.

Nice place to swim for exercise. It appears to be primarily for competitions, but at the right times is nearly empty and great for us out-of-shape people. It is clean but it is well worn.

Have lived w/in 2 miles of this facility and have tried to use it for lap swimming multiple times. Latest example is indicative of all "communications" w/this place. I sent an e-mail 9 days ago. Phoned yesterday to ask why I'd not received an answer to e-mail question. Woman said manager would phone today. Guess what? No call today and front desk woman said she'd leave message for manager again. Pools themselves make me salivate - best you can find. But run like such garbage I travel further to the YMCA. Ugh.
Update (next day): no call received today. Called again and found out manager is out of town now until July 5th.

Enrolled 2 year old son in swim lessons. The small pool where lessons were conducted was poorly lit, otherwise OK. The instructors were hit and miss. Some interacted with the kids really well, others seemed out of it and just went through the motions. Next time we'll buy a punch pass and do our own lessons.

Very rude front desk person... when in at Sunday evening to get information about toddler swimming classes... Did even say hello or anything just rude, I wish they have better customer service.

For the amount of money they charge for monthly lap swimming, you'd think you'd be walking into an aquatic palace. No. The (women's) locker rooms are filthy, showers don't have heads and just sort of spray... Bathroom doors don't work and/or are often out of order. There is also not an adult/kid locker room, so enjoy changing out in front of 8 year old girls... Kinda makes you feel like a creep. Not impressed, wish I would have just stayed at the Y, which is at least always spotless.

We went to a baby swim class and the instructor was so-so. She was just a kid and likely wasn't taught how to teach the class. We decided to give it another shot since we had signed up for 8 classes. 30 minutes before the next class we were called and told it was cancelled in a message. I almost didn't call back and simply turned the car around (since we were already on our way) but decided I should call and ask why it was cancelled so close to the time of the class. I was told that 2 out of the 3 parents called to complain, it wasn't what they expected. That is when I realized they weren't calling to cancel this weeks class as she had portrayed but ALL the classes. There was no mention of this in the message I received, if I had not called back I would have gone the next week! I was told I would receive my money back for the class and to expect it in the mail in the next 2 weeks (that was over a month ago, still no check). I also requested that Julia (I was told she was the manager) call me to discuss how poorly this was handled. Surely, they knew more than 30 minutes before it would be cancelled and if they did not then the instructor was there and they should have offered my child her swim class and then offered to move her to a different class. I wouldn't be quick to tell people others complained, it would have been much smarter to continue with my child's lesson. As stated, I wasn't impressed either, but they are just babies and I didn't really know what to expect. Maybe moving her to a different teacher would have helped and we would have continued. They also only wanted to give us a partial refund, charging us for the first class, I explained how we were already in the car with a kid in a swimsuit going to her second lesson and that it was very rude and inconvenient to cancel now so I expected a full refund. After being on hold for 15 minutes, they agreed and also agreed that Julia would call me. Still no check and still no call from Julia... I wonder how many more times I will have to call back until I get this resolved. It may be a cheaper center, but it is worth it to spend more elsewhere since you get nothing for the dollars spent at this facility.

I wish I could rate this place 0 stars. We decided to see if this would be a good place for my family to swim during the summer. On Google, they posted that they have reopened to the public after following all COVID-19 cleaning guidelines. I visited their website and reviewed their "Recreational Swimming Hours". Sunday's hours are listed as 1pm to 6pm. I called to confirm a few details and nobody answered the phone. I called a second time - same result. I called a third time - you guessed it - nobody answered the phone. My 5 yr old daughter had her heart set on swimming so, despite nobody answering the phone, I figured since they posted "we're open" and listed their "recreational swimming hours" on their website we would not have a problem. We all got ready, got loaded up into the car, and set off to the location which is 30m away. When we arrived, we entered through the font and saw a single person sitting at the front counter. She told us that we "missed the last swim for the day" (we arrived at 3pm, website says they close at 6pm). She then went on to tell us that "due to COVID-19" we had to be there "at a certain time" and "make arrangements" and so forth. I told her I called three times to which she replied "it's been very busy here" **crickets*** there wasn't another soul I could see and only a handful of cars in the parking lot. Bottom line, my daughter cried for an hour, their website is wrong and misleading, they tell you to call and nobody answers the phone, they wouldn't let us swim, and it was all a giant waste of time. I guess it is too much for this place to update their website, leave accurate posts on Google, answer the phone, or do anything else for that matter.

We absolutely love this facility, the coaching and everything but the reason for the two stars is the transmission of the meet. We are grandparents in Michigan trying to watch our grandkids compete and the transmission is intermittent. The race will start the transmission freezes up and comes back on when the race is over and this is happening repeatedly. My daughter is watching from her apartment in Raleigh and having the same thing occur there. So frustrating. Again not a criticism against TAC but maybe whomever has been hired to provide the service might not know this is happening. We all paid $9.99 for this and that's very reasonable but it's really not working at all. Please try and fix this if possible!!

Even though they hold themselves out as being open...

Even though they hold themselves out as being open to the public, this is for all practical purposes a private pool. After checking their online calendar and seeing no events scheduled before 7:00 pm, I went at 5:00 pm and was told no lap lanes are available because they are all being used for practice by a swim team, which team has permanent signs reserving parking spaces for their "VIPs". But I could lap swim between 8:30pm and 9:00 pm if I wanted to come back. Public lap times are so restrictive that they might as well be nonexistent.

We tried RSA with our 8yo before TAC and it was terrible. We're soooo glad we switched to TAC. The level of professionalism is unmatched. Our coaches are fantastic and the meets are so well done, even during covid.

This is a really awesome building to watch or participate in swim events. Lessons are offered and there are multiple avenues for learning to swim for all abilities and ages. This is a very uncomfortable place to come if you're attending a large event. There is plenty of room for swimmers but limited space for spectators and the organization for these events doesn't include much communication. If you're lucky enough to get a seat, you will have the opportunity to move to the front row when your child is swimming, but then you'll need to argue with the people who slid into your old seat when you got up because they had been standing for hours. All in all, this is a great establishment for everything except a huge year end championship, and hopefully in the near future that will be improved upon.

I am extremely displeased with TAC, coaches doesn't seem to care much about swimmer's progress, and they keeps changing the schedule on me and I had to accommodate it by canceling other schedules, they somehow has not been able to send me any communication emails even after various attempts to correct it, so I've never been communicated with class reschedules and ended up driving back with frustration.
Also, in a swim team there was a bully who keeps pushing down my son's head while swimming and hit him with fins and spit water at my son's face and to top it off he kept trying to pull down my son's shorts, my son told him to stop, but he didn't listen. I addressed this to coaches and staffs, but they didn't do anything about it, which is strange because their policies and rules states that no harassments are tolerated in TAC, well what good is it to have a rules and policies if it's not being enforced?? they seem to apply rules and policies when they charge us money for every quarter. After months of suffering I decided to pull my kids out, and will no longer send my kids there, unless my issues are addressed. It's a bummer that their swim facilities are nice and big... too bad their administration ruined it. I'd recommend this place if you are okay with frequent class schedule changes and bullies for your kids.
