Treasure Valley Hospice Review

Treasure Valley Hospice has helped many of my friend s families that were in need of hospice care. They did a great job and were very kind and understanding. The care and support they gave to each person was invaluable.

My mom was diagnosed w/Stage IV cancer on May 31, 2016. Her doctor recommended a different hospice company in Mountain Home, and said they would call that day or the following day. We waited and waited and finally I called Brandie at TV Hospice in MH, who then got the wheels rolling. Bobbie RN was at the house within one hour of my call and mom was then put on hospice w/TV Hospice. I was so relieved to not have to do all that without help. Mom appreciated every one of the ladies who helped her. Jamey C is my hero! As the social worker, she went above and beyond to help us through some VERY difficult situations, not just with Mom, but with family issues that were extremely tense. My mom went to Heaven on June 25, just a few weeks after her diagnosis. TV Hospice was there with us through the whole ordeal. The nurse, Stacy, who came after Mom passed (Bobbie was on vacation) was so loving and caring to us and showed my mom so much respect, I can't even describe it. By the way, the other hospice company that the doctor recommended? Still no call from them. ;)

TVH has been a huge support to our family twice... first when they cared for my uncle in the final stages of ALS and then again when my other uncle was in the final stages of brain cancer. They walked with my family, and especially my grandparents as they lost their son, through the entire process, and offered not only physical and medical care, but emotional support and grief care as well. Their staff is caring and knowledgeable and compassionate and we are very thankful for their care!

Treasure Valley Hospice was recommended to me when my wife transferred home to die on December 16, 2016. They responded immediately and were at the house shortly after she arrived home. They were on call 24/7 and responded anytime we needed something. They bathed her, consulted with us on what to expect and I could not not have done it without them. When she passed away at 1:00 in the morning on December 21, we called and they were here within the hour and made arrangements for her removal to the mortuary. They have continued to contact me and check on me and offer their help. I cannot say enough good about them and highly recommend them.

Treasure Valley Hospice is a wonderful, compassionate company. They are filled with amazing employees that provide just as amazing care. They are always doing things to help people whether on their services or not.

I have not personally used there services but they have helped us out if a few ways. They meet with our mother to see if she qualified and then put us on the proper path. I have been able to call with questions and they have always been so helpful even though we are not clients! I would highly recommend them!

To say that my experience with the team at Treasure Valley Hospice exceeded expectations is barely summing up the extraordinary care provided to my elderly friend for the last months of her life. Each member of the organization, from every person who answered the phone at all hours of the day or night, to the superb care team, nursing staff, every aide, the social workers, chaplain and owner exhibited the utmost professionalism, knowledge, concern and care which allowed my friend her dignity and independence as long as possible. Their care extended to me as her designated health advocate, too. We had considered other hospice care providers but chose Treasure Valley Hospice based on its reputation and the extremely impressive, honest and thorough interview meeting in which the team listened to my friend's concerns, health issues and emotional needs. She --and I--simply could not have been in better hands during this most challenging of experiences. We've loved the care from Treasure Valley Hospice. Everything from the caring, weekly phone calls, the newsletters and thoughtful poems for the remaining family members to the oh-so-important nurse visits. All this as often as needed! They've been there for worried phone calls with the utmost care and concern. We'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing tender, loving care during trying times.

My experience was very positive.. My husband was sent home on hospice with a time line of 3 to 5 months. Hospice was there with support and care immediately. The next 4 days were an immediate downturn and early on Friday morning he passed away. Caregivers were gentle, caring and honest with us about his condition and cared for me at each circumstance. My mother was living in a wonderful Assisted Living facility in Meridian, Idaho when it was determined she was in need of hospice care. Gayla Clark and the wonderful staff of Treasure Valley Hospice entered Mom's life and became not only her caregivers, but her friend. When they visited her, they talked about her life...and all she accomplished in her almost 97 years. And not only did the Hospice staff become HER friends, they became our friends, as well. When a change in medications was needed, the Hospice staff called us and fully explained why changes were necessary, and updated us on Mom's condition. My mom looked forward to visits from the kind, caring staff from Treasure Valley Hospice and was happy to be in their care. Gayla and her wonderful staff cared for Mom right up to her passing in late September. We will always be grateful for the wonderful, professional care provided to my mother by Treasure Valley Hospice.

My family, unfortunately, had to use hospice services twice in a 7 month span. When my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, my dad signed up with a hospice service through the hospital. We didn't feel like we were getting what we needed. Anything we needed, we had to ask for. During times like this, you don't know what to ask for. :( So we switched over to Treasure Valley and instantly we saw what hospice care should be all about. Everyone from TVH understood our needs before we even did! Seven months after my mom passed, we were calling TVH again for my dad. Again, we could not have made it through this very rough year without Treasure Valley Hospice.
After experiencing two different hospice care companies, I saw the difference and cannot say enough about the caring staff at Treasure Valley Hospice.

After a few months of declining health and a brief hospital stay our mom chose palliative care instead of treatment. Thankfully, we chose Treasure Valley Hospice. From the moment mom admitted to their services we knew we had made the right choice. It was a lengthy admit, they sent a wonderful nurse, Wendy, to help mom get in house and settled. Karen, the social worker painstakingly gathered information to assist with mom's care and financial coverage.
Mom's short time with Treasure Valley was very involved. The staff went above and beyond for mom, my sister and I. Mom was given AMAZING care. They instantly brought in medical equipment and supplies that were needed -without us having to think ahead / ask. They just seemed to know what we would need before we needed it. Their experience and expertise is above reproach.
Words cannot express enough thanks to Sandee, RN (her main nurse) and the other on-call RN's that cared for mom. Sandee-every day my heart hugs you! Rob, Amy, Darla, Wendy--thank you so much for your quick response, knowledge, advise and care. You are all amazing nurses. JoAnn the Chaplain and her dog Taz were a delight for mom when she needed it most! Toni, CNA, skilled and always available to help out. When we had to meet with another financial entity and Karen, the social worker was at a conference, Honey the COO/administrator came to represent! Again, the entire staff lives and breaths patient care and advocacy. They enlist and provide every resource available to assist with patient needs and support to the family.
During mom's final days the team was able to tell us what to expect and give insight as to what we would be dealing with. The assistance and emotional support they gave us was incredible. The grief counseling is wonderful and will continue for a year after mom's passing. We can't recommend this organization enough.

Treasure Valley Hospice provided exceptional care for our mother from the moment she went on hospice. Both my mother and our family were scared, but through their direction, we understood how to proceed with dignity and grace. Like so many families who have to work and find they are unable to physically take care of our loved ones, the burden and guilt was lessened with their care. Treasure Valley Hospice communicated regularly with our family and we noticed a marked improvement in the quality of her life at the care facility, as a result. Treasure Valley Hospice provided stability, familiarity, and individual attention our mother needed. During the final year of her life, she lost her memory and unlike many other care providers, Treasure Valley Hospice treated her like a human being and helped our family understand her illness more. As she struggled physically during her final months, our family was comforted as well, watching the nurses keeping her comfortable ..., especially during her final days. After our mother s passing, Treasure Valley Hospice continued to provide comfort and support to our family as we went through the grieving process. We will be eternally grateful. We all have choices in our life and we are thankful we chose Treasure Valley Hospice to care for our mother.

We have been with Treasure Valley Hospice for over a year now. They have been amazing. I love them like family and how could I not. They have helped me take care of my beloved Mother and anyone who loves and cares for someone you love so much just becomes someone you love also. I am so grateful to them all for their help. From her Nurses Gayla, Amy and Tess and Rob on the weekend calls when I need help. To Karen the SW who lets me jabber on and let off steam when I get to feeeling overwhelmed. I m afraid I reach out to Amy and Gayla and Tess that way too amd they never complain. We have the chaplain Joanne who is my mother s spiritual support and I can se that she is a gentle but form lover of Christ and that eases my mind. No matter how goofy I am I know the need of him in our lives.
The NP Craig is wonderful. I m pretty sore my Mom has a crush on him he has great bedside manor and he is always very respectful but she doesn t get to see gentlemen too often. He thinks we watch too much tv and we do. But our kids did well in school and back then we didn t watch a lot ofbTV it s just been since being home with mom. We love you all.
I ve never met the owners but they must be wonderful to have such happy employees. Thank you to Nurse Teri or Doctor Teri as well I am trying not to forget anyone. The three owners who s names I wrote down a few times are doing a wonderful job in picking the most amazing people to care for hospice families. No judgement is so important because I think you lose your mind several times over in worrying if you re doing ok. Recently my mother almost passed and they readied me with all of the information I would need and somehow through their care and my Mothers will amd our care she has thrived and come back to us. I do not know how long that will last but it is inspiring to know that we have an ability to heal ourselves and I am eternally greatful to Treasure Valley Hospice for their dedication to their job and to my family.

The staff at Treasure Valley hospice always goes above and beyond to bring care to their patients. At any given time, there is a whole team of compassionate individuals working together to put the patient at the center of their work. I feel so fortunate to be able to volunteer for such an amazing organization.

As someone who is currently witnessing the hospice experience through the care of my uncle during his journey, I cannot say how thankful I am for the staff and how passionately they care for their patients. I have only seen brief interactions and each time I am amazed at the compassion shown and the attentiveness to the task as hand. Each time the nurse has been there while I have stopped in to visit she is fully invested in his care and well being and doesn t seem rushed to leave as if he were just another patient as we have experienced in hospitals before. I would and will 100% refer anyone I know to trust you with the care of their loved one.

Mom had Treasure valley hospice only a short few days before she passed on. We moved her from Boise to Mountain Home into my home. The staff Bobbie and Breanda came right in and trained us what to do and expect in end of life which my Mom was in. They bathed Her treated her bed soar. Brought in expensive medical apperatise and a air massage bed. We did not think she would pass as quick as she did. The staff reminded me of angels coming in to help us in our time of need. Thank You very Much ladies. Then when it was real tough Chaplain Joe came in and prayed with us and counceled, us and loved on us. I would recommend Treasure Valley Hospice to my closest friends!!!!!

Everyone there was very caring and respectful. Their care was professional yet personable. They made me and my family feel safe and cared about, and my nana (their patient) was absolutely in love with them.

The staff was amazing and took fantastic care of my Dad as well as my Mom. They made sure we had everything we needed to make it through this horrible time in our lives. We had an abundance of support even after my Dad passed. My Dad loved his nurse and she was the best of the best! If you are able to ask for Michelle she really made all the difference in the world. We were so fortunate to find TVH when Mom needed end of life care. Every single person we communicated with was kind, compassionate, and loving. They each brought their unique skills, talents, and personalities every time they came to provide care.

Whether it was Kris warming the sheets and pajamas in the dryer to get them ready and cozy after a bed bath, or Sandee singing for Mom while Dad played his saxophone, the staff was there to lighten the load and ensure Mom was well-cared for and comfortable. Everyone went above and beyond to accommodate anything we needed.

TVH went above and beyond to help my family to care for my Grandpa. It was in the little things that made the most impact. Like walking us through how to care for him so we were confident in our ability to do the job. TV Hospice not only have they taken care of one of my mom s cousin but one of my friends who recently passed away of cancer at age 51. From Michelle the case manager to the CNA, Kris were beyond amazing but so was the rest of the hospice team. Treasure valley is an amazing company.
They always go above and beyond. They are not only there for their patients but families as well. From a facilities point of view they always works with us as a team with facilities to meet our residents needs.
During this pandemic they have helped out with various activities and events to help the elderly feel loved and always making sure that Treasure valley is there to help in any way.

From our first meeting with Karri, my family felt so much compassion, patience and support from everyone involved with my dad s care. We are very thankful for everything they did for us.

This establishment is horrible. My grandfather passed away during the weekend. They say that they are available 24 hours day or night...well, my parents called multiple times, never got a reply. Finally my parents called the funeral home, the funeral home called the coroners office....my grandfather passed away at 402 am...they pronounced him dead at 1025...he laid there for almost 6 and a half hours. If you want good care for your loved one, do not have these people look after them!!

A 5 star rating is not near enough for Treasure Valley Hospice. I have worked in healthcare for 24 years and been engaged in most aspects of it for significant periods of time. When the need arose for me to need hospice services for my grandma, I had no idea truly how much of a BLESSING it truly could and would be. TV Hospice has gone above and beyond. From the Administrator Honey, to the nurse Gayla, to the Social Worker, Karen, and all others - they have not only cared for - but cared about my grandma and about our family. TV Hospice is an organization that I cannot say enough about. What a Blessing for our family in countless ways. You are loved!!

We have worked directly with the nurses and social workers at Treasure Valley Hospice for the past 5 years. They have done an excellent job with patient care and training our caregivers for patients with ostomies, feed tubes, catheters and any other hands on training.

They are available 24/7 for any questions from our caregivers or from family members in regard to hospice care, medicine and any other end of life questions or concerns. They have weekend on call nurses and their team is excellent about coming right out to see the patient anytime. As a home care owner and operator in Meridian, we highly recommend Treasure Valley Hospice for anyone seeking quality, personalized end of life care.

I am currently a caregiver for an elderly woman who has been with Treasure Valley Hospice for quite some time. When my long time friend was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor after having a stroke, the Hospice CNA that helps me suggested I let the family know about the services that could help both my friend and her family, even though she was in a facility. I reached out to a family member and told her we wouldn't be able to do our job if it wasn't for the care and support of the Treasure Valley Hospice team. Now my friend and her family are getting the same help , support and compassion from TVH. They are very thankful.

My husband is dealing with dementia, and we were blessed to find help with his home care from Treasure Valley Hospice. His assigned nurse, Karrie, is very kind and encouraging which is just what I need in my caregiver capacity. The bath aide, Dave, has been a great asset to Llyn's care, gently bathing him in his bed, reassuring him of every turn and what comes next. My husband is always peaceful after a bath and clean clothes and bedding. Thank you TVH for your great staff!

I had the pleasure of working with the Treasure Valley Hospice team. They are caring, compassionate and committed to providing the best care for patients and their families. It is comforting to know that such a high quality, professional and people centered hospice is available in the Treasure Valley.

This team were with me every step of the way in helping me take care of my mother. They were professional and caring and very tender and kind towards my mother. Now that my mom is gone, and I miss this people. My mother called them angels, and I tend to agree with her on that.

The wonderful people at Treasure Valley Hospice have been there for me and my family on several occasions. My father made the decision that he was ready for hospice. I called Treasure Valley Hospice on Saturday morning and the social worker and nurse met with us a few hours later. By the end of the day my dad had the medical equipment in his room that would allow him to be comfortable. He only lived a week but that week was one of comfort and peace thanks to the caring hospice staff. My brother was at the end of his life after a four year fight with colon cancer. I called Kim at Treasure Valley many times for advice and support. She picked up the phone every time even though we never did bring them on - my brother passed away in the hospital but staff at Treasure Valley has called me several times to check on me. Recently my 94 year old Aunt has had some serious health issues. Again, Terri and Kim always picked up the phone when I called and gave me advice and support. They are ready to jump in at any moment when my aunt needs them. I feel so fortunate that I found Treasure Valley Hospice at such a sad, challenging time - they helped me so much!

I used Treasure Valley Hospice for my husband (of 46 years) his last few weeks of life. They were loving, caring, patient, professional, and the patient's comfort and care were their priority always - just as he and the family wanted.

After he passed I was pretty much fell apart. Roger Hiles, Counselor and Volunteer Coordinator at Treasure Valley Hospice called, and when I declined he respectfully asked if he could call back in a week or two. I reluctantly said ok. Well, Roger did call back, several times. I thank God every day that he did. There were points that I was really ready to leave this world, my husband was my Everything, I did not want to go on. What and how could I go on without him. For many weeks Roger came and visited me. He helped me understand that what and how I was feeling was okay, there was nothing I couldn't tell him - no judgement - and no wrong thoughts or feelings. That this process will take however long it takes, and that's okay. I cannot possibly tell you all of what Roger did for me, helping me understand the overwhelming remorse wasn't my fault, allowing me to tell him about thoughts and feelings I could never talk to my family or friends about. In short - Roger saved my life with kindness, love and patience.

If you are searching for a hospice company, please seriously consider Treasure Valley Hospice, they are light years ahead of everyone else. I thank God every day for them. By the way, Roger and I still stay in contact and have became very good friends.

My dad is currently on hospice with Treasure Valley Hospice. Our experience has been extremely positive. Visits are unhurried and thorough, the nurses are kind, caring and capable, and the other support staff that I've had any interaction with are so very responsive and helpful. I called to ask for more information about my dad's condition, and what to expect as it progresses. Karen put together exactly the info I needed, and even came personally to discuss it with my dad and me. I feel a great sense of peace to have this support system in place as my dad prepares for death.
I highly recommend Treasure Valley Hospice. It was a no-brainer for us to choose them, because 5 years ago they helped us when my mother was failing. Her situation was quite different than my father's - his is a slow progress, but for Mom, she was only on hospice for one week. Every day felt like a week, as she progressed so quickly. Treasure Valley Hospice was a fantastic experience when our brother was dying and we needed their services. They took great care of our family with helping us through the grieving process especially for his grandchildren. Treasure Valley Hospice was nothing short of a Godsend to our family during our most challenging season of life when my Dad was sick. They cared for him in the best possible ways consistently and cared for us and were always available to us. They are still caring for us because even though Dad is no longer with us, they understand that losing a loved one is a big deal and they understand the grief to follow and they continue to support us through the healing process. We feel blessed and honored that they were our chosen team. We couldn t have chosen better. They became like family to us and we miss them. They made their forever imprints on our hearts because we wouldn t have settled for anyone less than the best for Dad. We are so grateful!

Treasure Valley Hospice is hands-down one of the best places to work in the valley. The owners and administration truly care about going above and beyond and serving their patients and families. In order for field staff to carry on this mission, the leaders are excellent at loving on and celebrating the field staff.
