Registered my 3.5yo granddaughter for swimming lessons. Laurie clearly explained the options and patiently answered all my questions. She helped me to select lessons that fit my schedule.
Good place. Equipments are aged and has an old look, nothing is updated .
Editing my review and reducing from 3 to 1 star (wish could lower it more) after recent changes in the training programs at this facility.. Seriously, I mean they are upfront telling everyone that they have now way more business than they can actually handle it and they still want learners to pay twice the money. Big problems I) Fixed and WAY TOO MUCH monthly payments upfront even if you don't take lessons with not too many options and no flexibility to choose batches II) Lowering the bar for SWIM TEAM to 25 yards of two types swimming ? Seriously, meaning you are pushing more people into new big bucks earning scheme. III) Almost no group lessons and more or all focus on SWIM TEAM, which again as mentioned in point 2 above more money from people who want to continue..
Prior Review below...
Overall big facility but mixed staff, some are really good coaches, paying attention to every learner, some are okay. Bit costly and air inside not maintained properly, some times one can feel suffocated and uneasy....One thing would definitely help if they stick with fixed coaches for certain batches..
Too expensive to be a public pool and the last time I visited; only the small pool was opened and the didn't say anything about it when I bought the tickets to get in
Great location for swimming. Cafe. Swim store. Stadium seating.
Its a really nice facility ! And also They treat u really nice tooo !!
Two of our children have taken swim classes at TAC. They have enjoyed the instructors and their experience.
I previously purchased swim passes for my kids.. It's been a while so I called to see if they were still valid. On the phone, i was told yes. Upon arrival, i was told my info couldn't be found. I was even given supervisor contact info. To skip the red tape..i paid for my child to swim for today. Low and behold.. Out of all the people using the facility..I was approched and asked "DID I PAY?" Really?? I was shocked and I felt degraded. If the facility is going to ask for proof of payment, at least have the decency to not profile based on appearance. Treat everyone equally fair. Everyone deserves common courtesy!!!
As far as facilities go, the pool is excellent. There are three pools, one large competition pool that is either short course or long course, a medium warm-up pool, and a small pool for swim lessons. The water is kept around 70 F in the main pool, which is perfect for training. The hours are great, and despite arriving right around opening most mornings (5:30 am), the staff is always friendly and helpful. This facility has also introduced me to what great ecological diversity our great nation has. I have been swimming here for 7 months, and I am quite positive the place has not been cleaned during this time. The locker rooms (women) are particularly interesting. For the exhibitionist in me, I am a huge fan of the broken stall doors-- the world can now be privy to my privy. I have been introduced to 4 different species of insects (cockroaches, fruit flies, a slightly larger fly of undeterminable origin, and ants) and molds. The shower curtains and shower stalls, in particular, have a thriving colony of mold and, with the broken tiles and soap dispensers, appear to have been under flood waters for several weeks. Rumor is they changed the curtains from white to black to better disguise the proliferation of mold, but to no avail. There are also long-term puddles across the entire floor. It is my opinion that if the CDC were aware of this, The National Malaria Eradication Program would be utilized to drain the standing water, and spray insecticides.
The facility is OK but the ac was broken exceptionally hot and humid. Parents were very uncomfortable. Greensboro Aquatic center is much nicer and comfortable. Not fun today. Most parents go to indoor swim meets to get out of the heat.
Nice pool, but too expensive... And I have to pay extra to rent a locker???
Enjoyed the High school state swim meet. Great facility. The bleachers do not have enough pitch to see all lanes so if you are a spectator come early enough to sit in the front row.
They make you work super hard. The boys are getting the discipline and I am sure this will help build their core and will help all their life. Very professionally managed and excellent attitude.
Good pool but bad air quality. When I went to the bathroom once the seat cracked apart and I almost fell into the toilet! As a year round swimmer I enjoyed my multiple experiences here.
The temperature control can vary wildly, including super hot in summer. Not enough seating for large meets. And most importantly, unhelpful staff.
We had a coffee spill in the stands with a hole in the cup. Sent my son to get an emergency cup at the concession stand and they demanded fifty cents before giving him one, which we didn't have, so I threw it away. It made a huge mess and I asked him to get napkins. They charged a penny per napkin so he scrounged one from the floor while we tried to contain the mess.
The Staff was GREAT and everything about it was excellent!!!
The staff is super friendly and the coaches are awesome. In addition, they have a great facility and it's well maintained.
A very cool place. Just visiting for a swim meet so not sure what else is has to offer other than some very good seating to watch the venue.
I really didn t like it! The water is cold and very dirty. There is dirt in the pool itself, but I am silent about changing clothes. By the way, all the lockers are busy, you need to try to find free, and on the remaining locks (((
The staff couldn t have been more helpful and what a fantastic facility! I swim in a masters program in Sarasota and this place feels like Disney Land compared to our Y. Clean, plenty of lanes, cool Jumbotron, and the water temp was ideal for laps. I didn t set the pool record this morning but it wasn t the pool s fault.
Friendly staff and really kind to students who are there for practices
Titan swim training and staff:
5 rating
Great staff great compensation team only wished they had more levels too much gap between older groups that don't need hands on instruction
TAC facility:
2 rating
WiFi never works don't expect to be able to do anything unless you get cell signal pay a good amount of money to be here and yup can't work because no WiFi
Nothing ever stays open till times listed several times cafe closed before time and could not get smoothy for daughter after swim.
Front staff is not friendly seems like you are inconvenience them to do their job and answer questions.
Clean restroom and pools
Hope this helps don't expect much from facility or staff but #TitanSwim rocks
My duaghter loves taking swim lessons at TAC! The instructors are all wonderful, very knowledgable, and great with the kids.
Came for information about lap swimming. You have to call in the morning and get put on a list.
It's so huge it has three indoor pools and now they are gonna have an outdoor pool it's so great.
First-class pool with first-class staff. Great combination of swim lessons, swim team and public swim. Great hours - opens at 5 AM. Free Wi-Fi etc. Competitive swim team can be enjoyed by children in three different tracks: fitness, challenge and elite... depending upon their commitment and interest level. Not sure how one could give this less than four or five stars; take a tour :))
Even though the pool is absolutely freezing, TAC is a great place to compete.
Great facility for competitive swimming and recreational swimming! Keep your eyes wide open, you might see some Olympian gold medalalist swimming in the next lane!
On my opinion, this is the best aquatic center around Raleigh. Here are the reasons why:
1. The staff is always friendly.
2. The manager Katy always makes sure that you reach your goals and always finds time to listen to you, to help you, to guide you into the direction you wish to go.
3. The instructors are knowledgable.
4. They have 3 pools where you or your child can comfortably grow and improve as a swimmer.
Those were the characteristics I was looking for in a swim school for my 5 year old son and I am glad I found them here. Seeing older children swim in the same building works as encouragement for my son to get better. Thank you TAC for all your hard work!
Not a good place for individual swimmers. The Center is focused on swim teams or swim lessons, and hours posted for individual swimmers change without warning. Basically, be prepared to be kicked out if a swim team or lesson wants the pool.
Hard to find a better Natatorium. I've only been there for meets, but they are efficient. Water is wet.
Our son has taken several swim lessons at the Triangle Aquatic Center and each time we have been very pleased with the level of training and ability to work with young people the instructors exhibit. We highly recommend the center for fun family free swim time as well! It is a great place!
Spacious, well-maintained facility with excellent coaching.
Great place for open swim before 3:30. Friendly staff.
The two pools are immaculately maintained and the changing and showering facilities are more than adequete
Excellent facility. It was crowded for NCHSAA finals but the meet was well run
This state of the art facility is the absolute finest environment available in the Raleigh area for swimmers to train and compete. Indoor 50-meter full sized Olympic pool with crystal clear water, lifeguards, hot showers, concession area, air conditioned parent area with wifi and lockers to store your stuff.
I am very disappointed that at a State Swim Competition that there was no National Anthem. NCHSAA should find another place for their competition seeing that this is a State Meet.
I enrolled my son and daughter in swimming lessons and we had a good experience so plan to enroll in next upcoming classes as well
We signed out daughter up for the parent/tot class. The first class our instructor called in sick and they gave us free time, but still charged us. The next 3 classes were cancelled an hour or two before class was scheduled, due to no instructor. Not sure what the point of offering a class with no instructor is??? The class pool is tiny. And the one free swim we did have there was about 50 other people in the pool. So I could not even here my daughter speaking to me. We chose this pool instead of an outdoor pool so it would not be so hot, not class cancelled if it was raining, but its Super hot in the class room and so much chlorine it burned her skin and gave her rashes. I would not suggest this pool to anyone.
Nicest competition pool in the region - even better than the GAC because of the food options.
Love it! Very easy to get to and the facility is clean.
Water quality is the best around.
Really Bad facility, rude people, instructors are really bad except 1 or 2 . My 5 yr old son already knew to swim.. but did not learn anything here in 1 month.. when complaint to director .. she was too rude and did not address any concerns
They keep changing instructors every class, new one having no clue where the last one that left.
There are three pools. Instructional pool is 3ft and it is for starters and instruction classes. Anyone can go and swim when its open for all. Water has lot of chlorine and is warm. It is in a closed room so it is not very pleasant inside. Program pool is big, 4-7ft deep. Three lanes are reserved for lap swim and others are open for all. When there is a swim class or lesson some lanes are reserved. Competition, 7-12ft is reserved for lessons and classes but if it is free anyone can swim. It is the biggest pool. The atmosphere in two big pools is comfartable and pleasing. The pools are located indoors so they are open regardless of weather (rain or thunder).
The water and pool surroundings are always clean. The bathroooms are clean. The lifeguards are young and friendly. I am taking my kids for two years and we enjoy there and they became swimmers in TAC. My kids swim on their own. The timings are very convenient so we have no problem finding a free lane. We use family pass and the fee is very reasonable without any extra charges. This is a PLUS and hope stays this way as more people will use the facility.
Good pool for meets. Nothing special and nothing bad either. If you are looking for a competition or training pool, this will do.
Attended two conventions here, was an excellent facility
Its floors are always dirty at the pool deck and its got alot of trash in the pool. My mom is handicap and she had to walk far to get to it during a swim meet also they do not notify you about swim meets. i would not recommend this place and the stalls are BROKEN i mean who would want to use the bathroom without a stall
It's a really good place for parents to watch their kids swimming in swim meet.
This is a great place. Has many swimming lanes teachers and not that much rush tells you the feet you're going in and provides you swimming equipment. Also there is a lifeguard.

This facility is state of the art, strategically located, well maintained, well cleaned, dependable and I give it 5 stars.
