Labor and delivery. First thing I wasn t planning to give birth here because of the reviews but I had to, all of the nurses were very nice and hands on even with the COVID-19 going on. They didn t force us to wear a mask in the room only when we exit which was really nice. The only thing I didn t like was that I had to get the COVID-19 test even though I didn t have any symptoms. I was really surprised on how good this experience was.

Worst service ever. Still sitting in the waiting room after my wife smashed her toe. It's been two hours, she's hurt and we are sitting here for what?

This is the most pathetic excuse for a hospital I have ever seen in my life.

On Christmas Eve paramedics took my 95 year old father to Tri City after he fell and cut his head. He was examined (including a CAT scan) and stitched up, and discharged in less than 4 hours. The doctor and nurses were very kind, gentle, and efficient.

My ultrasound technician was great but the rest of it was horrible. I was pulled into a back room with no privacy around alot of other staff and patients and talked to me about why i was in the ER. they ended up taking down the wrong insurance information which i was later sent a 200 dollar bill for the ultrasound and then today another bill for their privately hired doctors for 700 dollars. do yourself a favor go some where else if you need care. These people are just interested in your money not your care

I went into the ER for stitches in my foot and they told me I needed an X-ray I said no but they persisted I needed it, when in the X-ray room the nurse that was taking the X-ray was super rude asking me why I brought someone with me told me that the bill was going to be expensive and laughed about it. He proceeded to ask me what was in my foot as if I needed to worry about something, then told me oh just kidding and told me to leave the room rudely. The nurse who came to stitch my foot proceeded to tell me that I was stupid for cutting my foot and she didn t believe me when she asked how I did it. After stitching my foot she left the room to grab gauze to wrap my wound and it took her over 45 minutes to come back with gauze and it was a different nurse that came back and then he left and came back 15 minutes later to wrap my foot. I had to wait an extra 30 minutes after that to get my disc rage papers. The hospital ER was not busy at all that day all the nurses were standing around talking to each other rather than helping guests.

Long wait. The staff treat patients like numbers not like humans. Very disappointed by the long wait my wife had to endur, almost six hours. Hire more and caring staff. So that was for the staff in the waiting room. Once we got to see the doctor and RN it got a lot better and I would like to recognize them for their outstanding job.

Go elsewhere if you can!

Go elsewhere if you can!

We're currently on vacation and unfortunately had to call an ambulance that took us to the ER at Tri-city medical center. My husband was taken to a "room" right away but hardly ever checked on. The staff that spoke to us briefly was brief, rude, and non helpful.

No one checked to see if he's comfortable (pain wise), warm, in need of water, or if he had to use the restroom. He was not given a call button in case he needs anything and I observed the nurse, who identified herself as his nurse (who was late because she was at lunch - she explained), walking passed uncountable times never even glancing in our direction to check on things. Staff here makes no eye contact with patients and when they are forced to - no one uses the patients name.

Communication, pain management, and patient comfort and care are NOT priorities here.... Game of thrones episodes however are discussed amongst nurses in great death and length.

Also, the uncomfortable metal chairs for family members to sit on are insult to injuries. There's absolutely no reason for a hospital to have those....especially if you're making patients and their family members wait hours!

I had an angiogram recently, and was very nervous about the proceedure. I had never met the surgeon assigned to me, but felt much more at ease when he called the night before and spent time walking me through the proceedure. Dr. Carr was awesome. Also, the nurses from start to finish we're very attentive. I feel well taken care of.

Worst hospital experience ever! The wait time was ...

Worst hospital experience ever! The wait time was outrageous and the doctors weren't very professional in a sense that after the hours of waiting for my diagnosis (8hrs), no one exactly explained what I had nor what my limitations were. I had to have a follow up appointment at an urgent care near my house when I nearly killed myself doing something my illness didn't allow, but that I wasn't made aware of. However, despite this, the billing department was kind enough to take my insurance payment in full... or so the lady on the phone said. A few months later though and here I am getting calls from debt collection agencies. I've tried calling the hospital over 15 times now, have left voicemail and have even written a letter addressed to their billing department, but no one ever calls back. I finally got through to them and got told there were no notes written even saying they had talked to me once and that they wouldn't be taking my insurance payment in full. They were then supposed to email me a new invoice- which they didn't. I then had to call multiple times again and eventually got through to their primary care facility to relayed the message to the hospital. I finally got an emailed invoice, but it didn't have any information as to what i was exactly paying for, just a total. I asked for a complete breakdown and no one has gotten back to me. Incredibly disappointed... This has honestly just been a nightmare.

Forget trying to call the patient accounting department. I have a bill I want to pay online but there is no patient ID #. 28 minutes on hold so I hung up. I called the main number and they connected me with accounts payable and it is another recording with instructions to email with your question. I guess EVERYONE is at a St. Patrick's Day party! I am not wasting anymore time with them.

I had good service in the ER and I would give them five stars, but apparently, no one else works there.

I was brought to this hospital by 911 because my water broke early and Scripps which was the hospital I was scheduled to deliver my baby was more than 1 hour drive from our house. I was so scared but staff in Tri-city hospital were so professional and kind and their Doctors were knowledgeable! Dr Movahhedian who is the head of Neonatology department is a great Dr and human being. He personally talked to us and made those very difficult time of our life while our baby was at NICU easier for us. Also Dr Pozz is a great Dr. He is the one who resuscitated our baby. Over all I had a very good experience with this hospital and its staff and I m happy that 911 took me there.

Wow what an amazing experience. My husband and I just had our first baby here. The labor/delivery and post-partum staff were exceptional. Everyone who works in that department is incredible. They made the entire process one we will never forget. We will definitely come back here if we decide on another kid in the future! Thank you for everything!

Yes this one star is because of A.M.! We are not a...

Yes this one star is because of A.M.! We are not arguing about the rules and policies here, but the way she dealt or handled the situation is very very very incompetent and rude. My wife got admitted for gallstone removal, it's her first ever surgery and she was terrified. We are aware it's a common surgery but she's still terrified. Unfortunately we don't have any family near by or in the whole county and what makes it harder, we have a baby. No one told us anything about the baby except positive comments and how cute the baby is, no one mentioned or even advised that the baby shouldn't be there. My wife asked several times for help with feeding our baby with bottles (because baby only takes breast milk). A.M. turned our request for help to "this baby has to get out of here PERIOD!" We have been admitted for HOURS with the baby and we got admitted before WITH THE BABY, but the moment we ask for helping, she felt it's a responsibility she doesn't wanna deal with. We tried to explain that my wife needs me and she's scared and no one can be with her except US! A.M. didn't care and she gave us an hour and then cane back with a security guard to kick me and the baby out and leave my freaked out wife alone! She didn't care, she was not sorry, she just kicked us out! Other nurses were nice and explaining the situation which is totally understandable that the baby is exposed and it's not good for her, but the situation of being kicked out in front of my wife freaked her out, elevated her heart rate and temperature because of the scene! I intend to leave but at least make my wife feel it's ok and ask someone to come and take my place, but again she doesn't care and doesn't want to wait and inconsiderate of how hurt or bad my wife feels or scared she will be all alone! A.M. is not even sorry. She didn't even wait for my wife to fill up some breast milk for the baby. I left with a crying baby having no idea how and where to feed her! Other nurses and even the nice security guard were sorry and surprised for what A.M. did, but not her!!!!! I immediately contacted my lawyer whose more than happy to help as this made my wife's experience much more complex.

Rules are respected but should be explained as well!!

UPDATE: now after surgery, we were told by THE DOCTOR that it should be ok to breast feed the baby! I even asked other nurses later if I can have more formula, they responded that it should be ok to bring the baby to her mother and have her breast fed! No one mentions anything again about the baby, no one harassed us which makes it even more personal that the lady in the morning was taking it on a personal level. We have dealt with over 10 different RNs for the past 24 hours, not a single one advised or even said a comment about the baby having to leave except for A.M. All other RNs are apologizing for the harassment she did and all said it wasn't necessary!! Baby drank only 1oz in the last 14 hours and she is starving, but finally eating her moms milk!!

I am a caregiver and had to rushed my client to emergency because he was so weak and unable to move his right leg and right arm. When we reached tri city's ER I asked one of the front nurses to give us a wheelchair for my client because he was unable to walk and he was waiting outside the car turning blue or something. So the nurse whipped out her walkie talkie and said " we need wheelchair in emergency triage.". So we waited and waited for a very long time to get a wheelchair in emergency. Hello this is emergency! I can't imagine how much pain my client was taking as i watched him having hard time breathing and waiting inside the car.

Thankfully, there was another patient who got discharged out of emergency with wheelchair and asked the nurse nicely to give us the wheelchair once they were done.

Besides poor emergency service, this hospital have very rude doctors too. I remember a long time when my grandma was so sick and dying. The doctor of this hospital told me and my mom "we can't really do anything for her. The virus spread all over her body. You are just wasting insurance's money." Talk about compassionate huh?

I tried to avoid this hospital as much as I can but this is the closest one we have when it comes to emergency.

Being 16 weeks pregnant and going to the er because of heavy bleeding and pain I had got to the hospital at 1am and wasn't seen until 12 pm , the doctor told me he didn't know what was wrong and that it was probably nothing he didn't want to put me on bed rest but he gave me 3 days bed rest and sent me home , I continued to bleed and finally switched doctors and then I find out what I had and have now been on bed rest for 3 MONTHS !

Yesterday I went into labor and delivery for really bad back pains and a high fever , they took forever to get me a room , the girl at front desk was more worried about having a conversation with her co worker and flirting with the food guy and I waited for about a hour to get a room I finally get a room and the nurse is very rude , and rough when I asked for something to eat she rolled her eyes and said are crackers ok , which was fine but with a attitude. When I asked to go to the restroom and had a iv on she yanked my iv while I was still trying to get off the bed she was already in the restroom . THEN I was in a shared room with a lady that was going into labor ! She was already 7 cm dilated and we were in a shared room ! Point is nurses are rude and this place is a joke so glad I wasn't in labor cause I will not be having my baby here !

About to have my 3rd son and my wife's doctor scheduled for an induced labor since our baby is full term. We keep calling and as instructed by the maternity ward and they keep telling us to call back at certain times. Those certain times are continuously during shift-change with each shift pushing us to the next shift-change.

I only say this because our previous children were put through the same circle. And both times my wife's water broke under stress while waiting in the car in the hospital parking lot. And both times a bed was ironically available after she walked in telling them her water broke. This says that the maternity ward is purposely refusing women who are allowed to have induced labor per their doctor.

My 97 year old father was here in Oceanside the last 4 months. He ended up in Tri-City twice. He was treated by Dr Farhoomand and the wonderful hospital staff on the Telemetry Unit. They gave such loving care to him and this meant a lot to him and his family. A special shout out to RN Jennifer! It s important to say that all hospital staff, including volunteers and security and ER were always offering help. Proof you can t tell a book by its cover! Thanks!

I was there starting prep for Surgery, on Nov 29. I was having a frontal lobe Mengioma removed by Dr Sharrona Ben Heim, who should have Wonder Women on her Doctors Scrubs.
The surgical staff were great as well! Tough long Surgery, 6 hrs I think. I was sedated perfectly.
The nurses In the intensive Care ward, to name but a few Lindsey, Jen and Camille, we're just the best! I had a 4 day stay in the intensive care Unit. Very precise, compationate and professional RNs .Lindsey was just beyond. These people cared. I was treated with nothing but the best care! Thank you ladies! My name is Dwayne McCobb. I live in Oceanside CA.

The worst hospital ever. The triage nurse was more interested in talking to her boyfriend that was hanging rather than attending to the patients. One of my nurses was stellar but the other one literally let me sit in my own feces for two days. I literally came out with diaper rash. There may be some other ramifications from my stay there but I need to have them substantiated first. Will keep you posted.

I found the staff to be rude and not very considerate of family or patient. I would avoid this hospital if possible. They have signs up stating they care but it obviously is for show. When a family member may not make it then family should be allowed with the patient and the head nurse needs to learn respect.

This review is for the billing department. Neither Tri-City nor their subcontracted physicians' billing services submit bills with the correct modifier code to the insurance companies. Bills constantly get sent to collection or bounce back to me, and then I have to make calls to my insurance, to Tri-City, to doctors, to billing departments, for YEARS before a bill is resolved. It becomes a nightmare, over and over again. I am not sure what is quite so difficult about medical coding or putting the correct modifier on the code to make sure that the claim is not always rejected by my insurance, but I do not work in the medical field, and can you tell by this post that I know way too much about this for a total outsider?

we have a strong suggestion.

we have a strong suggestion.

when our relative was moved from emergency to icu, the tech who pushed the bed virtually disregarded the other other tech pushing the ventilator, running her (and the ventilator equipment) into walls and door jams. it was like the guy had horse blinders on.

not only is this bad for your employees, but it causes stress, discomfort, and possible bruising to the intubated patient's throat and breathing passage. is this recommended for icu patients?

moreover, emergency failed to properly connect our relative's foley, and the patient was not able to relieve themselves for more than 4 hours.

this is our experience being in tricity hospital for 6 hours.

My father got into a car accident arrived at 3:30 pm it's 6:30 pm he's still in the waiting room, complained or severe pain, half his body is going numb and they just told us there are no beds and they can't manufacture any, unless you're visibly bleeding out you need to wait in line. I worked as a nurse assistant and this was the one hospital I asked the registry not to send me because of the lack of help and their people skills. If you can avoid Tri-City do it...anyother hospital is better than that dump.

Denied my medical alert and response service dog for illegal reasons. Asked for registration and asked for her rabies tag. Tried to provide proof of rabies and was still denied. Poor coordination between hospitalists and the rest of the staff, causing patients to be awakened at all hours of the day and night. We were appalled at one ER nurse's declaration that my father was old and was going to die someday anyway. There are some good staff there but the ER is usually chaotic and even after being admitted, patients are left sitting or lying on gurneys in hallways for hours. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.

I'm sorry - I really don't get some of the negative reviews for this hospital. My mom took a terrible fall, breaking her wrist, toe, hitting her eye and head. We went into Tri-City, and the process went like this: We waited in the ER waiting room to take vitals and get logistical info, with a blood pressure test as well. They did this with every person that walked in to determine the level of severity apparently. After that, we waited about 8 minutes and my mom went for another check with a nurse and to determine the severity of her condition. They were very professional at all times with us. They then asked us to wait a few more minutes and moved my mom into the ER. From that point forward, my mom received incredible kind and professional care. From the ER nurses to the doctors. She was quite severe with two brain hemorrhages and they moved her into ICU. Dr. Souza, and Camille (doctor and nurse) were AMAZING and I will forever be thankful for their care, concern, and treatment of my mom. Since my mom was on a blood thinner, it was very dangerous, but they were able to stop the expansion of the bleed and nurse her back to a less life-threatening state. She will be going to in-patient PT in the next day after being at Tri-City for a week. What this hospital lacks in some aesthetics, perhaps due to age, they more than make-up in professionalism, kindness, care and medical knowledge...I would trust these medical professionals anytime.

Brought my wife to the emergency room due to irreg...

Brought my wife to the emergency room due to irregular bleeding after an operation. The facility was in network for her insurance, but upon arriving it turned out that the only doctor in the ER (Dr. Ryan Smith) was out of network. This was not disclosed to us by the facility at any point throughout the entire visit. Upon entering the rooms, they were filthy. The equipment was old and outdated. The floors looked like they had not been cleaned for months. The doctor made us wait for 20 minutes while he stood outside our room flirting with a nurse. At this point we had been waiting for 2 hours at the facility and the irregular bleeding had completely stopped. He then urged the need for us to allow him to do a 2 minute evaluation of the surgical site, which turned out to be perfectly fine.

4 weeks later we received bills from the hospital ER, the imaging department AND the surgeon for over $600. On top of the massive bill charged to us and our insurance by the ER for waiting in their waiting room for 1.5 hours, then sitting in a filthy ER room for 30 minutes, the doctor also attempted to charge an additional $500 for his 2 minute examination. The fact that no information was provide to us by the facility about the doctor being out-of-network and the outrageous cost charged for their awful facilities, I would strongly recommend avoiding this hospital at all costs. This whole situation has felt like a billing scam.

The care in the ER is so bad that it in indescribable.... Actually, it is nonexistent . My 1, and thank God, only experience at Tri City Hospital was frighting, no one care and didn't even fake caring. Eventually a "doctor" (and I use the term lightly) came into my treatment room to discuss my CRPS (he must have finally Googled it) and express his new found concern and compassion, this is after I laid there in excruciating pain for over an hour with no one evening checking on me let alone treating me. I take no pain meds and never will, guess "drugs" Is their only go to.
I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO
Tri City Hospital and neither should you.

My father had to stay for two nights due to a heart condition. He was treated so well by the staff and the physician and had nothing but positive feedback about Tri-City medical center. Showing up at 10p on a Tues night with a questionable and extremely painful knee injury, the staff was urgent and quick in getting us checked in, filled out forms, and within 8min a nurse came out to bring us in for xrays and shortly after a visit from the doctor. Turns out the knee cap had been dislocated and the doc fixed everything. About two hours later, what started as a honeymoon emergency, was just a scare and with the help of the ER, staff, nurses and doctors of Tri-City Medical Center, we were out and on a quick path to recovery and enjoying the rest of our honeymoon on the sunny beaches of California.

Unbelievable. Does not even deserve a single star ...

Unbelievable. Does not even deserve a single star this is for the Emergency Room, not the main hospital. My mother was admitted to the ER for a heart attack and spent 14 hours before getting into a room. One MD in the ER and no PA. Saw doctor a total of seven minutes in 13 hours before they admitted her. She arrived before 8 and they said they would have EKG results by 9 am; they did not have the results at 3 pm. They undressed her for her EKG without closing the curtains left for 20 minutes with her undressed in a cold area with people walking by. Can you imagine? She was delirious so they helped her into the restroom and left her pants down at her ankles.

They forgot to feed her meals (and she is diabetic) until we spoke up. My wife had to scavenge for snacks. When they finally did feed her, they gave her high sugar carrots and canned peaches. Later, they gave her a slice of lunch meat turkey on a soggy piece of bread. Wish you could post pics. We photographed them because they were so laughably awful.

They forgot to give her a call button to use the restroom. They never emptied the potty seat. My wife had to track someone down to do it.

When her IV ran out, the monitor beeped for 10 minutes before they even came in. When her monitor went off showing an irregular heartbeat, they never came in. My wife had to find someone to tell them.

BTW, they don t separate psychiatric patients, so you feel unsettled leaving your loved ones here.

The staff is nice, especially Paige, but the administration at this hospital is an epic failure. Neglect is the word here. I come from a medical family father an MD, many MDs and professionals in my family. Have never seen such incompetence.

It s traumatic enough when you have a medical problem, and this place makes it much worse. They really should be reported to any governing agencies. I may do that to spare others from this type of grief and neglect.

Tri-City used to have a good reputation. No longer. Sad.

Discusting nurses in the emergency room. Very dry and abrasive and definitely aren't the most knowledgeable. I went in because my imbecile Dr wrote me a prescription for my Cluster headaches and gave me 6 doses for a month and each dose is for 1 headache when meanwhile during a cluster period I can have anywhere from 3 -6 headaches per day. Anyways when I went into the E.R wich I really didnt want to do but i had to work in the morning and knew I would need some form of relief because I could feel a cluster coming on. The Nurse had no clue what I was talking about, I kept telling her that I have Cluster headaches and she kept saying "oh so you came here for just a headache" very dismissive basically saying I shouldn't have come in for just a stupid old headache by her tone, If she had any knowledge of the field then she would know that Clusters are the equivalent in pain to a woman having a baby or a man peeing out a watermelon and theyre about 20 times more painful than a Migrane. I wouldn't wish these on my worst enemy. I just want that rude nurse to pick up her phone and Google Cluster headaches AKA Suicide Headaches before she passes judgement on somone, I ended up just getting up while they were taking my blood pressure and leaving because I knew once the cluster came on strong I wouldn't be able to handle being in there with these incompetent nurses so I left and sat in my car for 45 minutes banging my head on the steering wheel for relief. Just wanted to thank you for such an amazing experience. It's a shame the way the medical industry creates monopolies for hospitals, if this place had any competition within the area it would no longer be around I can guarantee you that, but because of the monopoly hospitals have on areas they will continue to give sub par service and get away with it. Some advice for the nurses, if your not passionate about being a nurse and 100 % in it to help people then you should resign immediately. Being a good nurse takes a special type of person and if your not that person then don't bother because people life's are in your hands.

I'm so appalled with what has happened last night at Tri City Medical Center. In the time frame of about 15-20 minutes my mother was insulted, harassed, and neglected by the staff. I truly hope this is not the case with other patients. This hospital made my moms condition worse and she went home without care. She was traumatized and later ended up going to scrips hospital.... so far they are treating her a hundred times better.

This happened 11/19/2019 at Tri-City hospital for Labor & Delivery.
Dr. Dhillon-Ashley was the worst doctor! If you can avoid her please do. She decided form the moment my sister came in that she was going to give her a c-section. It's important to point out that this was before she even checked/met her and completely against her birth plan. When she finally did come in she was extremely rude to not only my sister (that was in labor), but to the nursing staff as well. After my sister made her wishes clear that she wanted to follow the labor and declined the csection, the Dr left the room and told the nurses to not to give her water or ice chips and asked the nurses not to let her actively move around even though that was also part of her birth plan. After much pleading the nurses finally convinced her to let her use the birthing ball, which is how she was able to make it all the way to 4/5cm. Unfortunately the experience with this doctor did not end there, she was rude all the way through.

It is a shame to read "bad" reviews on Tri-City. ...

It is a shame to read "bad" reviews on Tri-City. My experience was a life saving one. I was flown in with Aortic Disection. Dr. Lin and Dr. Speigle saved my sorry butt; TWICE! I was in ICU from 12/10 to 12/24 this year. The nursing staff and the OR personnel were outstanding. I am 63, 6' and 185; not overweight nor do I smoke or drink. I am thin and don't exercise regularly. That just changed! I gave them at least a decent body with which they could work. I did not expect 5* hotel accommodations or food. A hospital, after all, is the skilled people who provide services. I would suggest that if you are upset with the accommodations and the service you may have the wrong perspective of what the hospital is supposed to provide. Medical stuff is expensive. What is your life worth? It's not supposed to be a spa! You're not supposed to stay there and get "waited on". Get healthy, move on and try to stay out of any more hospitals. I can't say enough about my experience. I coded twice, they brought me back. I am telling the story in a movie (a real move - not a YouTube) in which these people will be lauded for their expertise and compassion. Kudos! Go HERCULES!!

I would give zero if possible.

I would give zero if possible.

I was there for 6 hours in aweful pain with blood dripping from my butt hole, throwing up and none ever came back to my room. How is that even possible or legal for that matter. And i have been there twice in the last year for similar issues.

Worst patient care I have ever expierenced.

I mean really, I just walked out didnt check out, didnt tell anyone just dipped and noone even called to be like u can't u that or are u ok, nothing! Like give me a break. I will be filing formal complaints with anyone who will listen including my insurance which they will surly bill for nothing. 100% unaccepitible.

Go to scripps or Palomar and save the headache, I am

Reply to your absurd generic response - hahaha u want me to call you guys? Thats the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my life. CLEARLY this is an ongoing problem based on all these reviews. Lucky for me, Palomar gave me some options and information as to how do deal with your sub par hospital and I will exhaust all those channels asoon as i have the surgery to fix what u people NEGLECTED to fix or even DIAGNOSE .

Oh we screwed up big time, call us so we we can try to fix it. Hahaha, the administration is as bad as the ER.

I was called at 1am to come be with her or they would have to sedate her because she was being to needy. I go there and they were waking her up at 3am to give her a potassium horse pill...seriously? Don't they have potassium they can put in her IV. Why wake her up at 3am?

This is by far the worst hospital; Tricity is worse than a 3RD world country hospital.
I was in ER this week- 8 hours for nothing.
Here is how it works-
1. You check in- wait for 30 plus minutes
2. After 30 minutes-Triage- then wait another 40 minutes
3. X-Ray- after this wait another 45 minutes to be taken into a cubicle
4. 45 minutes later- another nurse comes and tells you- please wait for another 2 hours
5. 2 Hours later- physician assistant comes- says she will order an xray- hello miss-the x-ray was taken 2 plus hours ago- she says oh really- i havent heard from xray dept. let me check-
6. 50 minutes later- you walk back and forth and these people are all sitting in the room chatting-
EMT,NURSE, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
7. I am like can you please check- my 12 year old is hungry- please
8. 45 minutes later PA Comes in and tells me- well the Radiologist has not had a chance to view x-ray
9. Now i tell her- madam- Physician assistant- i have been here almost 8 hours
I think i need to leave- here is my insurance information again- please bill me and call me with results.

10. Long story short- in 3 minutes the REGISTRATION LADY SHOWS UP- HAHAHAH now they are scared they wont get paid for this scam- hahah in 45 minutes they check me out
end result- X-RAY NEGATIVE
NO MEDICATION NEEDED
NO BANDAGE NEEDED- I Literally had to tell the PA and EMT to put a splinter for my kids finger- and they they still couldnt do it! This place is a Joke!

THIS PLACE SUCKS- TRICITY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!

We could have driven to Tijuana,Mexico- 45 minutes drive and gotten better care and cheaper and faster- and i am neither latino nor can speak a Lick of Spanish- hahahah!

TRICITY HOSPITAL IS HELL- STAY AWAY!

The worst experience of my life. I was admitted a little after 8 AM for an Ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage. Not only was the diagnosis traumatic, but the ER made the situation a nightmare. I waited hours in a cold ER room for a medication, only to find out that it hadn t been ordered yet. I was told it would be two hours and it turned into eight plus hours, estimated wait time.

I do not recommend going to this hospital, if your life depends on it. Hands down, the most dreadful experience of my life.

The WORST emergency services I have EVER been to. The ladies in the front don t take anyone seriously and have side conversations while people are in line. The wait is absolutely horrible and the most disorganized system I ve ever witnessed. I waited over 6 hours just to see a doctor. I then needed further tests which took over 3 hours. The communication was horrible, the nurses would forget to bring things that the doctor said they d bring me until I had to remind them just absolutely horrible patient care. NEVER come here.

3/31/2016 at approx. 4:30 pm, I went into the ER because of pain, swelling and abnormal movement in my hand. 4 hours later after waiting check-in and X-rays, I had to wait in triage for over a half an hour for someone to give me a splint because the person for Orthopedics was out to lunch, and they said they were getting supplies for the splint but I still had to wait a long time for something which ultimately took 2 minutes to do, then sent me back into the waiting room to get my records together and check me out. I left at 9:10 after 15 minutes of waiting before they could check me out, because the last bus was coming and I wasn t going to be stuck there overnight.

Today I was about to go in because of my knee, but considering that it was already around 6 pm and the average wait time is around five hours, and all they would do is more useless x-rays, I wasn't going to risk it.

Two and half stars. If you approach healthcare wit...

Two and half stars. If you approach healthcare with the knowledge of its limitations, then you can empathize with healthcare professionals. It seems that rarely does a diagnosis find a definitive answer to why something hurts or why you are feeling the way you do. With blood, urine, and imaging equipment, healthcare professionals have indicators of the most likely diagnosis, and therefore, a treatment plan. Often times, the diagnosis is a bit of disappointment because neither is it definite or conclusive. It is a best guess. Again, if a patient approaches healthcare with this perspective, then it will save them the disappointment that is felt after long hours of waiting, probing, and testing. This being said, there still is no reason for the long wait. Are there not enough doctors and nurses and radiologists for the patient demand? Also, there is no reason for the high cost and seemingly unnecessary testing. As a patient, you don t know what you need and you are trusting the healthcare provider to be your guide and advocate, but it feels like tests, procedures, and treatments are given with this pressure of (1) your ignorance of medicine and (2) their need to be thorough and extensive so as not to get sued. Patients end up with thousands of dollars in medical bills and distrust for the medical system in general. The charge nurse said to me that the level of care in the ER is higher than at your family doctor; yet the feeling is quite the opposite. I ended up in the ER two days in a row on the advice of my family doctor, once for me, once for my daughter and both times, it felt wrong, unnecessary. Why can t family doctors be as equipped as ER doctors? I read the other reviews of long waits and in the end, just being prescribed antibiotics. That was our case, too, but with the expectation and attitude that I mentioned in the beginning, the frustration felt by these patients and us is somewhat mediated. Yet, six hours is a long time to wait to not get a definitive answer and a prescription for antibiotics, which was our case. It is also dehumanizing, devaluing our time. Our need to know the cause was the real problem, the answer rarely reached by healthcare professionals. As long as the condition isn t life-threatening and the pain can be managed, that is the extent of healthcare for most people and should be their expectation as well, as disappointing as that is.

ER is horrible. Long waits and never under 6 hours. My husband came in with a 7 inch gash in his head and they made him wait for an hour in the waiting room. When I told them he was going to pass out, they said "well is he sitting down? then he should be fine". Everyone in the waiting room saw how much pain he was in and offered that he could go ahead of them and encouraged me to get more persistent with the nurse. Wow...the really don't care about their patients well being at all. It's all just a process to them. If you are in the North County area, go to either Scripps or Palomar. I am switching my HMO immediately after 6 or so bad experiences in the past year.

The worst experience ever. This is for their ER. 6 hours in ER. Just one person is taken back and is discharged during that time. It s disgusting that it would take so long. I asked for Ice for my leg and an hour later they offer me a cup of ice. I just left. In more pain than when I came in because I was sitting for so long. No one was doing anything . It wasn t like their were people being rushed in.

I swear this hospital has by far the worst cardiovascular receptionist! My mom had a cardiac catheterization procedure done and due to her health issues she was to stay in recovery for 8 hours. I have asked the receptionist for an update on my mom and her response is we don't give updates. All I asked was to know if she was ok and if she has eaten or simply a "she is doing well" would suffice. People like that should not be working in a hospital where people have their loved ones. This hospital needs a caring and understanding receptionist that will help make the experience less stressful. Never in my life have I met such a stuck up B*** in my life!

My mother was just released from the hospital with...

My mother was just released from the hospital with a diagnosis of Stage 3 lung cancer. Tri-City Home Health came by the room twice and made an appointment to come by the house the day after she was released. They gave us an appointment time of one hour (11-12). I called the day before the appointment, never received a call back from the nurse. The appointment came and went with no call/no show. I waited an hour and a half AFTER the window to call to complain. I was told the nurse had a flat tire......I guess that her phone must have run out of battery life as well since she didn't have the courtesy to call or reschedule, nor did the home office which knew of the "flat tire". In this day and age when health care is supposed to be concerned with patient satisfaction I must say this was a horrible FAIL. I completely understand running late, and I can appreciate a physician or nurse or any support staff taking extra time to make sure the patient and care givers understand what is happening. However, I would love to know what would happen if as a patient I was 1.5hours late with no call????? Would I still be seen? I would bet not. Tri City Home Health you only get once chance to make a first impression, and you blew it.

Gave myself a head injury because of my Aspergers and needed to be checked because I have a history of a TBI with Post Concussion Syndrome. They did not seem to be very concerned because with my condition it can make things worse for me. They didn t even do blood work for me just a urine sample. I m from Alabama and the procedures there and the way they handle the situation is a lot better than here. When they sent me to the CT room and getting my head scanned after everything was done there was clotted blood on my finger. Either they do not keep their rooms clean or it came from me. They did not seem very concerned about that which for me I did my best not to freak out on everybody.
