What a wonderful place to buy a bike! Jim and Dawn helped my wife and choose new bikes, they were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient pulling bike after bike after bike down and tuning them so we could test ride. They were respectful of our budget and didn't try to up sell us...which we really appreciated. We stayed past closing so they could tune up the ones we decided on and everyone was super nice to us...felt like hanging out with friends. Way to go Trek of Mt. Pleasant, you've earned our business!

Awful service. I drove 20 minutes to get to this shop for a simple repair. The "bike guy" talked down to me, not saying hello or anything. I explained that my wife waited 30 minutes yesterday because she had an appointment and NOONE helped her. Just rude, I don't recommend. It's like guy, you work on bicycles for a living, you really can't talk down to me like that. Who do you think you are?
Awful service. Technicians talked to me with a demeaning attitude and were very rude. I waited for 30 minutes and received no help and once I did the bike guy talked down to me. Going elsewhere.
Super fast service. I dropped the bike for a tune up, new grips and pedals. They called back within 2 hours and said it was done. The old bike now rides smooth again. Great staff and service!
They have a wide variety of offerings for every bicyclist: from young kids to serious bikers. The staff was very helpful, courteous and kind. I will definitely come in next time I am looking for a gift or have a bicycle need. :)
KC was tremendously helpful to us out-of-towners. He gave us maps, described routes, and invited us to join the Saturday rides. We felt welcomed not only to the store--which is well stocked!--but also to the Mt. Pleasant and Charleston area.
I visited the Trek store here in Mount Pleasant a few days ago looking to tune up my bike. I spoke to a very knowledgeable mechanic named Kevin. He was so helpful with all my concerns, and professional even down to him opening the door for me when I picked up my bike. The prices were very fair and the work was top notch. Thank you to Kevin and the rest of the staff for my experience here!
We were visiting from out of town for the week and wanted to bike with our kids around town. My husband and I are not exactly bike-literate so we didn t noticed a missing axel or turned brakes or bent gear thing. But Mike fixed us right up and wasn t the least bit patronizing. There also was absolutely no up-saling which is so nice. The job was completed much quicker than expected and the cost was more than reasonable (an idiot-tax could have been charged and I wouldn t have minded because we really know nothing about bikes). In the end we were able to have some great bike rides with our kids while on vacation- Thank you!
Great bikes and great service. Between my Electra Tiger Shark and my wife's Electra White Water I think it's safe to say that we have the coolest bikes in the neighborhood.
Great experience with this store. I had to get my front and rear derailers adjusted. The tech adjusted them the same day. I thought I was going to have to drop off and return to get the bike, so saved me a lot of time. Thanks!
I was new into road biking and went to the store as a complete novice looking for more information and where to start. This is by far some of the best customer service I have received from the moment I walked in the door, to my continued experience from a follow up customer. The detail, answering of all questions, and safe minded repairs were all addressed. I love my new Trek bike and value it even more since the people I was able to buy if from. My father in law was just in town from Wisconsin and was able to get a flat fixed here no sweat. He also mentioned how great everyone. Will continue to take advantage of group rides and the people that have made me as enthused about road biking as everyone here has.
The shop was very flexible with my changing schedule, allowed me to deliver bike on my date and had the service completed in less than 24 hours. And very upfront and clear about the pricing which was reasonable.
Much, much better than The Bicycle Shoppe (Mt. Pleasant.) The staff actually cares about you & wants to help you find a bike. Repairs and tune ups can take hours instead of weeks like the aforementioned. Take your business here if you're looking for quality.
In March of 2019 I purchased a bicycle at Trek's as a birthday present from my wife. I took it in this week to have it checked over. Trek honored the discount coupon that given to me at the time of purchase. The Trek sales person explain the various maintenance packages with their respective charges. They had the bike ready for me to pick up 24 hrs. later. I have also taken my bike in for some questions about maintenance and operation and each time I found the Trek person willing to share information and encourage my biking experience.
I have recently been wanting to start road biking, and so I was recomended to check out this trek store. Dawn, one of the women who works there, explained to me the basics of road biking, directed me towards entry level bikes, let me ride a couple and was great showing me options of bikes she recommended for me without being pushy on my buying a bike that day. She was wonderful in giving me space and understanding that I have a budget when buying a bike. The staff was great, very happy with my experience. I would go back! I took my bike in for routine service. I needed help unloading and loading. They were super nice The service was fast and they were very helpful explaining things to me about my bike and helping me with accessories. The customer survives was exceptional!!! Thank you!!

This was my first ever road bike rental and it worked seamlessly!!! Those guys at Trek in Mt. Pleasant were a group of awesome people!!! They made it so easy and hassle free! I originally signed a two day rental and charged as such but my trip's schedule prevented me to ride more so I did not have a choice but to return the bike a day early. No Problem at all!!! Took the bike even almost closing time and now I just checked my account and my refund is already there for the other day charged originally! When I returned to Charleston, I will definitely go back to this store! This also made me like Trek Bikes so, my next purchase, I will definitely give this a good consideration.

We bought my son's first trek bike 2 yrs ago. Yesterday I walked in with another beat up bike and my 3 kids under 5 years old. The tech fixed it very quickly and my kids were entertained by a box of toys in the corner. Great store awesome employees. Thanks trek!
We have always had great experiences here (this is our 4th bike for our son); however this past purchase was by far the best. Our sales person Dawn was amazing!!!! Our son is on the spectrum for high functioning autism and Sensory issues, and because he was so excited about getting a newer bigger bike he was having a hard time controlling himself. Dawn was great at walking us through all the choices and options as it was a big jump from using pedal breaks to hand breaks plus the larger size to get used to. She took the time to talk to him and show him options. Thank you to Dawn for your help, understanding and patience. Qualities we, my son, doesn't often receive. Trek, you are luck to have such a great employee!! OH, and he lOVES his new bike!
Brought in a tire for replacement, was promised an hour or two for repair.... as they didn t answer the phone or text, I drove back, and was told they ran out of 26 inner tubes, and handed me my tire back... how can they run out of inner tubes!!//

My experiences with the Trek store began in it's first year. I was living in Mt Pleasant and getting fat, fast. I had lost my love of lifting weights, couldn't spend the time to keep my 1.2 Golf handicap and therefore found no love for the game or the time I was wasting increasing my stress levels. I met a young man named Taylor at the Trek store and he spent time talking about and showing e bikes that did different things. I finally decided on a $3500 Madone with a carbon frame and a seat that barely supported one cheek. It sat for 6 months. One day, my wife said, "Hey, are you gonna ride that damn thing or can I sell it?" I rode it, sold all my all my golf gear online and never looked back. Compared to golf (which I loved for 20+ years) I can say this...."There isn't one time I've gotten off the bike and wanted to throw it in a lake!" Since that time I have gotten older and wiser, realized I don't ever want to race but love gear and appreciate design, engineering, form and function. Recently, Ben Gruber, owner and fellow bike lover, helped me pick out and purchase a project one Domane with 600 series carbon, tubeless tires and rims, and a cockpit of carbon and light weight aluminum components that arrived with my custom paint selection and weighed in at under 16 lbs right out of the box. AWESOME! Whether I ride every day or one time a week, this bike feels like an old friend, never beats me up on long rides and handles so precisely and solidly over any terrain, I am never limited in the road I choose. I would also like to say that when I first got into cycling, the Bontrager accessories were less than desirable to the general biking population. WELL don't be swayed by those old school naysayers. The new Bontrager is up to date, cutting edge and performs at the highest level and the beginner level equally as well. As far as service goes, Ben, KC, and Myles are the guys to see. Everybody has a bad day, every bike shop has a young kid that may have too many opinions for his own good but the Trek Store of MT Pleasant will give you the best selection of one of the greatest bikes in the world and fit it to your needs. They also have the largest selection of gear and accessories within 100 miles of the low country. Don't miss it, miss out on it or drive by it without checking it out. If you have an issue, don't just bash the business, talk to one the guys I mentioned and I guarantee they will make it right. I love you guys and my Domane is an incredible feat of engineering and comfort that keeps my old butt pedaling happily whenever I have time. Great experience yesterday -- I needed a 'pit crew' quick tire replacement in time to meet for a ride -- I called ahead and these guys took my bike from a rack outside, quickly changed the tire, took my credit card info by phone, and had me out of there with a new tire in 5 minutes. I first took my bike to this store a few months ago, after another bike shop had not done their job properly.
I was more than impressed with the professionalism, friendliness and knowledge of the staff. Not only did they do a great job, but they finished the job sooner than the estimate I was given.

Charlie and the guys were awesome. Fixed my flat on the spot for less than $20 and told me how to prevent the flat tires. They simply told me to put air in the tires weekly and that would prevent the tube failure at the valve. Honest shop! Truly appreciate their advice that another local shop never gave after repeated flat tires.
Sara our sales rep and the the Manager Dan were great! After purchasing my wife's Skye WSD we brought it home and discovered there was a very large scratch on it. We took it back the next day and they did not give us any hassle. I purchased the Marlin 5 which had to be built and they finished it in about 2 hours. Definitely recommend this place!

I came in to get sized for the correct size bike I would need and had great service in Mount P. I fell in love with the Marlin 5 and had to order it a week away. The bike did not arrive when expected however the staff owned up to the mistake and gave me a corrected shipping date of another week. I'm excited to get to ride even though I have to wait another week.

Our 3.5 year old daughter has mastered the balance bike and it was time to get a "Big Girl" bike with pedals. After a little research I had more questions than answers. I reached out to Ben and he was more than helpful and although all business was by phone due to the virus I'm more than happy with my purchase. I'm extremely happy with my new Trek mountain bike and the sales experience from Tom at the Mt. Pleasant Trek store. Seven years ago I purchased a Trek hybrid in Florida. Although I really liked the bike, I had a disappointing buying experience. This was the opposite. Tom seems to really care that the customer is happy with the bike. He made the buying experience fun. Will definitely go back for the next bike.
