The Golden Tulip is a great place to stay in Leiden. I often stay here because of work and have had no issues each time. The food is great, rooms are clean and have plenty of amenities, and the staff is very helpful.

Nice hotel, top location. Reception in hotel very friendly. Rooms of the hotel neat and tidy, very clean. At the front of hotel 3 high, sleeping with the window open is very noisy. You can also stay here well. The breakfast is also well catered for in the buffer form.

Happy egg for breakfast at Golden Tulip Leiden. Extensive choice, good start to the day. Pri ma location near the center and at a crawl distance from the central station of Leiden.

The hotel is located very conveniently, in direct line of sight from the train station. Customer care is manifested in the details. For the first time, I see a train timetable board in a hotel (although I often stayed in hotels near train stations) and a weather forecast. Does the hotel have a restaurant. Room. Decorated modern, new plumbing. There is free wifi. The only drawback in my opinion is that there is no safe and fridge in the room. Safes were seen in the luggage storage room, but I didn t recognize they were free or for an extra fee. I stayed at the hotel for one day, so this option was not relevant for me. From the hotel it is very convenient to get to the Keukenhof tulip park. From Leiden it is much more convenient than from Amsterdam. From the train station there is an express bus to the park. On the road about 20 minutes. Not far from the hotel stop walking boats, where you can go on a tour of the canals. The staff is very friendly.

Hotel fine, a lot of traffic noise. The breakfast goes in shifts, we could only have breakfast at half past ten and met a grazed buffet. Nice neat rooms.

Great hotel. I was there for further training. Quiet. Centrally located a stone's throw from the NS station. Within walking distance of the city center of Leiden. Nice generous quiet room. Staff could be more service oriented. Highly recommended for in-service training or a weekend out.

Just stayed the weekend here.

First the positive:
The location is awesomely near the central train station which has direct rail connections to The Hague, Amsterdam and Schiphol airport.
The room was nice and big with in our case a large bathroom with bath.

The negative:
We had expected a bath in the room. To get one we needed to pay an additional 15 euro per night.
We expected a safe in the room for our valuables and apparently this is only available in a more expensive room!!
Worst of all the room we stayed in had no air conditioning. Luckily we were smart enough to keep a fan in the car as the room was rather stuffy and warm at night. This place/room would not be fun with 25+ Celsius outside.

Old, not well maintained. Try to stay somewhere else.

Locatie recht tegenover station is goed, kamers zijn keurig en modern. Wat gedateerde lobby maar ontvangst was uiterst vriendelijk. Helaas waren ze de bijgeboekte fles wijn vergeten. Ontbijt was ok, echter de jeugdige bediening had meer aandacht voor lolletjes onderling dan voor de gasten.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect position, close to Railway Station. Unfortunately when I stayed there, they had an issue in the heating system, so we missed warm water and heating in the rooms for 1 day, during winter. It was considerable discomfort, and the hotel refunded us with a chocolate bar....

The location is fantastic. Suffering is definitely worth seeing. The room was clean and the air conditioning was ok. Only the bathroom took longer to air

A surprise! The spacious and clean rooms, the friendly staff and the price is not excessive! All this 5 minutes from the center of Leiden and 2min from the station where you can easily get to the airport, in Amsterdam ..... I would say that I could not have made a better choice!

Nice modern hotel. Nice in the center of Leiden. Parking is well arranged in the adjacent parking garage. Bike with you, no problem closed bicycle shed available. Reception neat, friendly and fast.
Restaurant we had a very nice meal. Also there friendly and helpful.
Rooms are neat, clean and modern.
And with humor under the bed
Attention point: you can shoot roots at the elevator. Takes a long time. No suitcases then nice with the stairs next to it.
Drain shower, stench valve drain did not work properly. You kept smelling even though we still filled it with some water.

Very good restaurant, tasty snacks, nice staff and all this at good prices. The bar is also recommended!

Pleasant hotel on the outskirts of Leiden. The main street a bit noisy, but well isolated. Breakfast was very good, staff very friendly. Downtown within walking distance. Again and again, would then choose the 4 star version. Parking limited in the yard, parking garage is available, but very complicated and long ways.

Super nice hotel where they understand what service is! I had called in advance that we had something to celebrate and that I wanted flowers and something romantic and they have more than fulfilled their wishes. The breakfast was delicious and in restaurant Rubens able to safely eat. The rooms are modern, smart furnishings and a large shower and large and soft bed. In short, a must! Thank you Golden Tulip Leiden Center for a great weekend.

A friendly and good hotel. Location is great especially if you come by train. Parking is expensive and difficult in this area.
The dated rooms are currently being stripped and renewed. This does cause some inconvenience if you want to relax in the room or take a nap in the afternoon.
Room and facilities are great.

The hotel is quite nice. Overall pretty clean and the staff is great. The rooms are good size with good layout.
The only major issue I had is the bed where it's really two twin mattresses pushed together so sleeping in the middle of it is impossible, you end up getting stuck in between the mattresses.
Otherwise it's a lovely hotel to stay in. Close tho the station, 5 min walk from downtown and right next to Jumbo and Aldi so you can buy food and supplies.

Nice hotel. Comfy beds. Quiet rooms. Great modern rooms with large flat screen TVs. Everything was very clean. The optional breakfast for 16 Euros features a massive buffet. Most impressive were the modern bathrooms which featured great lighting conditions and large showers. Staff also very kind even offering to help carry luggage!

It was a great place for a hotel. Finding the parking lot at the back was more difficult because it was not mentioned by email. On arrival parking turned out to cost 12.50 and there was still a tourist tax to be paid.
When we got into the room there was a strange smell coming from the shower. Furthermore, it was a good bed but it was also noisy. We heard chairs sliding and doors slamming.

C is a 4 stars so very good service, after I stayed 2 weeks and they wanted me to pay all the first night ... as much as you can not do in one payment. I do not know the practice in the Netherlands but no "bail" so very embarrassing.
A rather upscale place with a fairly high average age and businessmen.

For business travels this hotel is ideal. Great Central location right by the station. Rooms functional rather than exceptional. Try to book in the Hotel rather than Inn. Good breakfast and friendly service in general. Bike rental available as well which is a plus.

Average business hotel in the city of Leiden. Good proximity to the central station. Breakfast is OK and there is a restaurant connected. The rooms are standard and those to the road a little noisy.
