To say that my experience with the team at Treasure Valley Hospice exceeded expectations is barely summing up the extraordinary care provided to my elderly friend for the last months of her life. Each member of the organization, from every person who answered the phone at all hours of the day or night, to the superb care team, nursing staff, every aide, the social workers, chaplain and owner exhibited the utmost professionalism, knowledge, concern and care which allowed my friend her dignity and independence as long as possible. Their care extended to me as her designated health advocate, too. We had considered other hospice care providers but chose Treasure Valley Hospice based on its reputation and the extremely impressive, honest and thorough interview meeting in which the team listened to my friend's concerns, health issues and emotional needs. She --and I--simply could not have been in better hands during this most challenging of experiences. Their care went well beyond what a 'job' would require: we were in the arms of friends as we navigated this ultimate journey.
