Treadstone Funding Review

I am a Realtor, and there is nothing I want more for my clients than a positive experience. Having good lender partners is an important piece of that puzzle. I recommend Carolyn Kruithoff with Treadstone on a regular basis. She has a lot of experience with different loan types and is great at educating first-time home buyers. Carolyn is friendly, detail oriented, and a pleasure to do business with.

Mike Marsman helped me with my first home purchase and 6 years later with a refinance. Over the years I've gone to him a number of times for advice and he has helped me learn and plan for the future. I'll be going back to him again when the time comes.

Never returned phone calls . Never returned any information or paperwork given. would not recommend.

I loved working with Treadstone. Before Treadstone, I had been financed through Diamond Residential and Old National Bank and Treadstone was a million times easier to work with! Neil was always on top of his game and we were able to close 2 weeks earlier than expected. I would totally recommend them for anyone looking for quick, easy and thorough financing.

GREAT COMPANY TO WORK WITH!!!! They helped my wife and I with a Fannie Mae Homepath Renovation Loan, which isnt your typical loan! It was a forclosure purchase in Forest Hills that needed updating, so the renovation style loan was great for us. We went to Lake Michigan Credit Union, who also services these loans, and we were unhappy with the non-personal approach that larger lenders gave us. I found Treadstone through the Fannie Mae website, since very few people know about this loan type, and i couldnt have been happier! Julie, Kevin and Jim all helped us with our loan, and all three made us feel like we were the most important customer they had! I would recommend to anyone to use Treadstone for a unique loan like we had or for any traditional loan you are looking to acquire. Interestingly enough, another couple we knew found Treadstone through word of mouth from their realtor, so I would say they are getting a very good reputation in the industry!

We worked with John Polakovich for our recent home purchase and had a wonderful experience. John was very helpful and responsive and did a great job explaining the entire process. He was always available to answer and questions that came up along the way. I also appreciated the fact that we were able to close in 21 days, and John s entire team was very attentive to all the details from the moment our offer was accepted until closing day. I would definitely recommend John for anyone looking for a mortgage!

We refinanced our house through Treadstone and I have no complaints. They got us the information to look at ahead of time and decide if it was the right call. Wade Monsma was amazing to work with. We ran into an issue with our first Lender, so we were referred to Treadstone and it was the best thing we could have done. It seemed like Wade made it his mission to get things worked out for us even with a very tight dead line. In the end everything worked out for us to be able to purchase our new home. Toby Crull and the staff at Treadstone Mortgage went the extra mile to get our refinance funded. It was no easy feat either. Everything in our life was messed up during Covid. I had to find a different job and start over, my wife works at Claira's on the River and they're all but closed, (pick up only) so despite our good credit scores, our proof of income was an issue. We initially got shot down by the bank, but Toby didn't give up and through some form of sorcery, convinced the bank to take a second look at our situation. We had to provide some additional documentation and had a delay in the closing date, but now it's done and my wife and I can rest easy now, knowing that our house will be paid off 6 years sooner! I was really impressed with Treadstone from the people to the entire process of getting my home loan. Their team supported me in the pre-approval process and even wrote letters on my behalf to the seller's agent to help with my offer getting accepted by the seller. They respond and answer every question I have really fast and friendly! During the loan process, Kevin was really great at explaining exactly what was included with the loan and why. It helped to have the entire breakdown since getting a home loan is extensive and can be complicated if you do not understand it. During closing, the loan processor was really helpful in getting everything ready to close early and communicated effectively through email everything I should expect and when. I had the pleasure of working with Treadstone Funding for my first home buying experience in May 2016. I had originally received pre-approved loans from other lenders. However, the property I was planning on purchasing was going through some tax rate complications due to it being in the Grand Rapids Renaissance Zone and the possibility of property tax breaks expiring. While other lenders had underestimated property taxes I would owe, Treadstone engaged in the due diligence to confirm accurate tax rates. They saved me from potentially owing thousands of dollars in taxes at the end of the year. This factor, along with great service and competitive rates made choosing Treadstone an easy decision for me.

Julie from Treadstone assisted my husband and I through the process of getting the loan for our first home. We were using a VA loan (which I heard nightmares about) but everything went so incredibly smooth! It didn't take us any longer than a conventional loan at all and we could have even closed earlier if we wanted!
