Very disappointed with my last flight. I booked two seats and paid the price so that eventually I found myself with defective seats. In addition, we broke my bag and it is not possible to have a gluten-free meal. I will do business with the competition in the future.

The flight we took to France was $300 cheaper then on Air Canada and in the flights with the newly re-designed cabins there was just as much if not more leg room. In the new cabin everyone also gets a screen with great options. Other flights were similarly cheaper and now that their movie app has a good selection as long as you pre-download the app you are ok. The food is quite good and you can buy items for the standard high prices, but they gouge you less then other places and offer plenty of drinks. Overall we were very happy with the service. Flying is always a pain, so nice to see they make it as pleasant as possible. One return flight was delayed and it would have been nice to get regular updates.

This airline mainly offers seasonal destinations to the Caribbean as well as a few to Europe. The comfort is rather rudimentary, narrow and the seats are a bit comfortable. The service on board is quite normal and nothing extraordinary. Some crew members adopt a rather cold or arrogant attitude towards the passengers as well as the personnel on the ground. The only asset is surely the entertainment system depending on the type of device. In short, this company may be cheaper than others, but there are other airlines that offer a superior product for similar routes. This airline can be worth it if you want to save money for traveling without worrying about comfort or service.

Air Transat with airplanes passed date with an unsuitable service. Connecting headphones to 2 sockets for stereo sound when we are in 2018 ... haven't you seen the technology arrive? A screen for 12 passengers and the same film for all passengers, well done! Why should people sitting in front have priority over people sitting in the center or in the back when distributing food? We were seated in section 20 and there was only pizza left, well done because it confirmed that the lack of food on board is a recurring situation but the last time, the director had at least the decency of us offer a free alcoholic drink and crisps which was really not the case this time. 2 pizzas not edible for $ 17. One thing is certain, when you travel with your company, you must not eat the same food as the small people paying for tickets and food at full price! Why should people in the back of the house be short of food? Why is the distribution not like in the other companies evolving, ie 1 which distributes at the front and 1 which starts at the center? Cutting of employees but not in prices! Why not start the distribution by the people sitting in the back, we hear that there are no first class seats so what is the difference? You have the same number of employees as the other companies but I think he sees it difficult to think differently and that the status quo suits you. We were on flight TS516 and TS517 and even if I speak French, your flight managers are not too bilingual! I understand that the days of agent flights are long but the days would probably be spent more quickly and would probably be more pleasant if they did not leave their smile at home, mainly the man with the beard and glasses and the girl with the long brown hair fasten with his diamond earrings which served food to the same cart with him! After having been 4 times in France and been several times in the south with you, I can confirm that our flight was quite unpleasant. Beware of the plus option and the associated "benefits"!

We purchased return tickets to Paris during the most expensive season (Christmas and New Years) with the plus option.
So on the outward journey, an air transat agent starts calling clubs and families for boarding, but forgets those who have the plus option. I will see him to find out if the plus option also ships as a priority and he tells me no. Only club passengers and families have priority. (Totally wrong!)

Then once on board, the time comes when the hostesses distribute the dishes. We were the last row of the plane. She comes and gives us a chicken dish without asking what we would like to have. We politely ask him if it is possible to have a vegetarian dish. She savagely takes the chicken dish from our hands and asks her colleague to get us some vegetarian dishes. So her colleague grumbles because we supposedly wouldn't have booked the vegetarian dishes in advance. Great the optional service plus! But hey, the stuck hostesses of the Q at air transat are known, so it's not the worst.

No, the worst part was the wait to get our luggage once we arrived in Paris! Over an hour's wait, we got our bags last when we're supposed to get them first! Our family paid almost 25 euros for parking because of this. When we finally got them, not even ten passengers were to be left! Great anything!

I contacted air transat to express our dissatisfaction and all they can do is offer us a $ 50 travel credit! Ineligible when we see that we have paid more than $ 300 to add the plus option!

Without reimbursement of the plus option on our tickets to Paris, we will never do business with Air transat again, in principle. They clearly have no respect for their customers and we are not cash cows!

You lose a whole family that frequently travels by air transat to go to the south AND to go to Paris every Christmas during the season that brings the most $$$ to the airlines.

Why aren't couples automatically seated together. At least seat "families" in pairs. Ridiculous. I book my ticket 6months ahead, why not set priority seating to "first-come-first-serve" when reserving seats.

In essence they've just had 6months of interest build on my payment. I think Air Transat making that extra $150 of interest should garner me a seat beside my partner. At the very least.

They will tell you that there is an application to have in these cases, but they are unable to put an information system for their passengers, if only during registration online, to warn them. Incompetence or dishonesty is to choose. They just lost 2 customers, and win a hellish pub around the family and colleagues throughout the City of Montreal.

Do not travel with air transat! Very bad experience he had 4 hours late on my flight and no compensation offered. In addition I waited for my luggage 3h of time at the carousel. With all the extra costs! When I call the customer service after the trip I wait 1:30 on the line to finally get hung up. Then I call back 1 day later I wait 3:00 on the line to finally be told that airtransat is washing the but and there will be no compensation! I ask to speak to a superior and they hang me up again. Last time I travel with this mediocre company. Beware!

This airline is the worst. From there airplanes to the vacation packages it is horrible. Beware of there star ratings, there not accurate. I stayed a 5 star that was more like a 3 star. Transat has no customer service either, if you have any issues or problems on vaca...you re on your own.

This has to be the absolute worst airline that is ...

This has to be the absolute worst airline that is operational anywhere on the planet. Sure, a flight can become delayed from time to time. It is when your flight is delayed from it's original departure time of 1230am and reassigned to 745am the following day that temperature can rise. They worked that issue out but when a company as large as this one has absoluetly zero rational sense to make sure the 50+ people who need to travel from Europe to North America and must catch a connecting flight are given any sort of information during a lay over. Air Transat, who ever handles the operational management needs reprimand. Your day to day employees show a great lack of customer service skills. Your on phone customer service representives do no care to assist your clients.

Not much to save from my 2 trips with this company...

Not much to save from my 2 trips with this company .. Apart from the staff rather pleasant, the rest to review. No helmet for the film (I knew it initially) no cover while it is 2 degrees in the plane, at breakfast no coffee (stock sold out) no chocolate and a slice of cake as a snack. And for the return 45min late on a direct flight Toronto / Paris while we left on time. In short for a ticket to 700 euros including luggage I think it means. At 450 I would have said nothing but no. Next time if I can I'll go sooner or I'll have another company.

I ve flown with airtransat 2 times and both times my flights have been delayed. The second time i flew with my 7 month old son and they broke the brake AND the wheel on my stroller. It s been almost 1 month and with each day, I m compromising the safety of my son with a broken stroller and Air Transat is deflecting my case to reimburse me for it. If I could, I d give 0 stars. I m never flying with Air Transat again.

We had a very nice trip to Paris. Everything went as planned, the entertainment on board and is functional and enjoyable. Dinner and lunch were very good and we had a glass of wine and a cup of coffee included. The staff was smiling. So far they are better than Air Canada in my personal experience. Let's see if the quality of service will remain the same since Air Canada bought Air Transat.

On Monday, June 22, 2015, I took Flight 723 from London to Toronto. I encountered a slight problem with a carry-on luggage item that became a bigger problem, owing to AirTransat's policies and policy implementation. When I first purchased my carry-on luggage item, I was careful to ensure that it would conform with the carry-on policies of almost all of the airlines; this carry-on item is a popular item, made specifically in consideration of these policies. I travel the world, so naturally I don't want to 'kid around', as it were, in this regard.

When I attempted to bring this carry-on item with me on this flight, I was asked to place it in a rack to ensure that it conforms to AirTransat's own policies. It turned out that it was only a few inches too large, and that AirTransat's policies in this regard are only slightly different than are the policies of most airlines. However, AirTransat personnel told me that I would have no choice but to pay 130.00 BPS and to have this item placed in Checked In baggage. I spoke to a supervisor on the matter, to the point of telling them that they can expect to lose a customer in the future because of this, but they refused to budge. I then paid the 130.00 GBP, and was not the only person to have to go through exactly this procedure on this flight.

While I understand that this was covered in the 'Terms and Conditions' section of my ticket, charging 130.00 BPS for a slight deviation from AirTransat's policies is, by any objective standard, extremely excessive, unwarranted, and arguably even opportunistic. Additionally, the exorbitantly high fee and the fact that I was not the only passenger to experience this suggests that there may be a profit motive beyond AirTransat's slight but highly consequential deviation from the policies of almost all airlines.

Upon arriving in Canada, I attempted to work the matter out further with AirTransat, to the point of sharing the actual text of this complaint with them, and giving them the opportunity to remedy the matter, but they did not provide a refund of (or approaching) 130.00 GBP, as requested.

I tried booking a flight to Europe yesterday evening and the new "CALL CUSTOMER BACK" system popped up, stating that the next available agent will contact me... After one hour of fruitless waiting, I finally decided to call back and inquire on how to make the reservation myself online (since I had some credits to apply) and spoke to a seat selection agent, who told me she was not the appropriate resource person to guide me through the process... She suggested instead to transfer me to the reservations department, open - as she stated - 24h a day, 7days a week. I don't know WHERE in the world she transferred me, because I spent 2 hours and a half on the phone, between music and the Transat donation program announcement, until past midnight!!!!!... No one ever answered, so I think she must have transferred me astray... I am only writing this to let Transat know that their Air agents work with outdated extensions, which leads to a very time-consuming experience for the clients, inducing eventually a very poor image of the whole company... Transat is not a bad company, I have traveled with them in the past, when they have provided excellent service - this is why I reckon they should be warned about their internal discrepancies, so they could make sure all their employees are on the same wavelength and have access to the same directory!

The prices are not going down but the services are. Europe flights now only offer sandwiches. However, the price is not lower than others like companies. The only advantage is direct links to several cities in France

I m embarrassed that you re a Canadian company!
The hardships you ve created and continue to create for me and my family are sinful. You re failure to reimburse me for your negligence for the last 3 months is sinful. Countless unreturned emails and messages proves how unprofessional you are. It s sad to see that you would rather have countless commercials on tv and radio - even YTV LOL- instead of reimbursing the hundreds of unfortunate families that used your service speaks to your credibility and accountability.
Shame on the supervisor of baggage claims - you continue to create a hardship for my family especially during the Christmas season.
BEWARE ALL WHO DECIDE TO USE AIR TRANSAT!!! Just read posts from customers who have had the unfortunate Air Transat experience on all social media outlets.

Bad experience with Air Transat, worst company ever encountered, customer service with very low quality and very disorganized company. Double seats by mistake, employees erased people from flight, delay due to organisation problems, vacations started with stress!

I agree with most of bad reviews here!

All my friends and a company with over 30 employees will never travel with them after last experience. Air Transat lost thousands of dollars form non returning customers!

Air Transat= social embarrassment

They gave me a lazy 150$ voucher after a long fight that is not over! My message to you, if you pay me 150$ cash and a free flight I would not fly with your company. You lost way more thank you think!

Few employees were very good, friendly and professional but company service is definitely 0!

I had a round trip with this airline and it was a horrible experiance!!! My flight and connecting flight were both delayed for a least an hour!!! Amd the flight back was delayed as well!!!! Just pure frustration and stress when you are always nervous that you going to miss you next flight/bus/train!!! Also, the service is very bad:/ i havent had such a bad experiance even flying with very low cost airlines!

Like some other reviewers said terrible experience. My flight has been delayed 3 hours and a half so far. We had to change plane due to a technical problem and we are still grounded. Wish I had read the reviews properly. Will never fly with them again.
Update: in total 3.5 hours of delay till we finally took off

No infotainement system on a 7 hour flight to and from europe, the plane was extremely uncomfortable and strait out of the 80's. Delays are not communicated and they lost our luggage on a 1h direct flight from Toronto to Montreal.

I had to book a last minute for a funeral, it was expensive flight from yyc to yyz and I had a really unpleasant experience. The person beside be was smoking his e cigarette in the washroom setting the sensors off, and from his seat making my flight(TS848 on apr 1). He was not prosecuted at all by authorities upon landing and my claim which was submitted in April has not even been replied to.
I will be keeping my 8-10 flights a year with WestJet and Air Canada moving forward.
