Everything went smoothly until I ran into a snag with Hendrick s check validation service-was told my check was denied- this on a money market check-had to go to my bank and get a cashiers check- this validation service would not give a reason-said I would have to submit request in writing!Bank said no problem with account. They need to dump this so called service!!

If I could give them a zero I would! Fifth and very last car purchase from them after horrible salesmen, horrible service and then a squeeze for additional money an entire week after I purchased the vehicle! You would have thought an excellent credit score and 5 cars from same dealership would have meant something but it did not to them! Harassing phone calls for additional money and an extended payoff time toward my trade in, and zero professionalism means 5th and FINAL purchase from this dealership! We won't even start with the horrible service on my new vehicles! They actually left the oil cap off once and oil blew all over the entire underneath of my hood, up the windshield and down the sides of my Tundra with less than 5k miles on it! Never again!

I really enjoyed purchasing my vehicle through Hendrick Toyota yesterday 08/23/2017. I purchased a new RAV4 and got a GREAT deal, and I also believe I got a fair trade on my truck. Everything went very smooth and quick. I had Chad Cleckner and would recommend him to anyone in the car market. Will definitely keep in mind in all future car purchases.

I took my van for 2 fixes related to my warranty. The rims on my van were peeling. First they tried to blame it on "something I put on them" I explained that the van was washed with plain old soap and the rims hadn't been scrubbed. Clearly there was a manufacturer defect, but instead of replacing the rims, they had them "painted" with some sort of clearcoat. I wasn't happy with this remedy, but they assured me that if the issue came back even if it was after the warranty was up, it would be fixed since it originally happened within the warranty period. Less than six months later, they were peeling again but worse. The second thing was the rubber around the driver's side window. They replaced it and shortly after, it came undone again. I called and left several messages about both issues and never heard back from anyone. I am well outside of my warranty period now and doubt anyone is going to do anything now, despite their promises.

Will Taylor is the super guy we can count on when bringing our Scion for service. He takes care of our car as if it was his own. The service people try as hard as they can to get your car in and out as fast and efficiently as possible. Definitely recommend them for service.

The staff were courteous and very helpful, the waiting room was warm and dry, and I was able to make a cup of coffee, which was a huge deal that day!!! I waited less than an hour and was on my way. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable service team!

I never realized that the value of my car will depreciate 35-40% in a year, bought certified pre owned Toyota Sienna 2012, wanted to traded for a suv with lower miles but disappointed to see how Toyota values the trade, losing $10k in one year for a clean excellent condition car. MY ADVISE, do your research before you get in their, don't get into payment plan trap, ask for the total liability on the loan if your are borrowing. Did not expect this from Toyota. Certified car came with a hair line crack on dashboard which was not at all visible for few months. I still love my car but am really need to go for something with lower miles. Hope the owners/loyalty managers will understand my condition and offer help or decent loyalty bonus for the trade.

I got my RAV4 recently when my 11 year old KIA threw a shoe and the cost to repair was more than I wanted to spend. My wife had recently leased a Corolla from Hendrick's and it only made sense to go back for me. Her boss recommend Kurt Hartl as the guy to talk to, as that's who she gets her company trucks from. And that's what I did.

Kurt is a great guy, years of experience in the dealership and a great guy all around. He walked me through the process, talked about what I wanted and needed. No pressure and no rush. I ended up with the vehicle I have now, with a "Blizzard Pearl" exterior and "Latte" interior (who thinks up these colors?) whom I have named "SNOW".

And my Sister-in-law and her husband also leased a car there and its ending soon and they'll be going back to talk to Kurt.

The dealership is laid out well, the people there are friendly and helpful and other than the lack of a Coke machine on the first floor, I have no complaints. I recommend Hendrick Toyota Scion of Wilmington to anyone and everyone looking for a good deal on a great car.

I wasn't looking forward to purchasing a new car-missed my old one but it was time. I had a very pleasant experience and Chris Ronda made it very easy. Very relaxed, didn't feel pressured, it was nice. I would recommend Chris and Toyota for sure.

I was helped by Scott P the Assistant Service Manager. He was completely helpful, pleasant and respectful. My 2005 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab was in need of several Recall services, all of which were done correctly and completed on time as promised.

I also had the oil changed, windshield wipers and a license plate buld replaced. All were done as promised at a fair price. My truck had all its fluids checked and topped-off, a complete vehicle inspection was done and the report was given to me. Also it was nicely washed, which it was badly in need of.

In summary, Scott was completely professional as were the services performed. I will definately return to Hendrick Toyota Wilmington for future maintance and repairs.

Car buying can be quite an exhausting and daunting...

Car buying can be quite an exhausting and daunting task, and experience. I was recently involved in an accident; no fault of my own. The whole experience was terrifying. I have been under constant therapy and treatments, in constant pain, and not to mention, the financial burdens, as well as business hassles that go along with accidents. My husband and I visited what seems to be thousands of dealerships every second we had. We separately visited Toyota on multiples occasions. Toyota's staff always made us feel valuable and comfortable. Our final visit to any dealership was with Toyota, when we met Aussie. He was warm, friendly, understanding, and very knowledgeable. He made us feel like we were home. I didn't feel like I was being pushed into anything. He was sincere and honest. He found every scenario to help me out. We found a car that suited me perfectly. All of the staff there worked especially hard to find the best price and payments for me. Billy, as he helped me in the past after the accident, assisted as well in the final stages. Aussie made what could be a stressful task, into a fun, joyful experience that I will never forget. Thank you Toyota, and keep Aussie and Billy on. They are great people. I can't wait to work with you all again; even come by for a visit.

Had to take my vehicle to the service department due to my check engine light being on. Was promptly greeted. The lady that helped me and took my information was very pleasant and helpful. Everyone was wearing mask, gloves and sanitized everything. The wait wasn't long. Very pleased with how they are following all guidelines and made me feel safe during Covid.

HORRIBLE customer service in the service departmen...

HORRIBLE customer service in the service department. Out of state, thank goodness did not buy my Toyota from the place. They refused warranty repair. Called my HOME dealership (500 miles away) and they responded with no issue.....WOW, imagine that. Wouldn't do business with this dealership for a key chain. Absolutely horrible. Next step, writing Toyota about it in detail. Clearly this dealership does not uphold customer service, representing Toyota.

My problems were not addressed and the staff seemed to talk down to me and my wife. The person handling my problems admitted that they knew my problem would return in a couple of hundred miles, they just didn't think it would happen so soon. I will never buy another car from them nor will I bring my Prius here for service.

Excellent service! Matt Woolf, our car salesman, listened to our needs and found our 2020 highlander platinum coming straight from the factory! He acted quickly which locked down the car for us. He came on his day off and worked with our schedules. Daisy was great, she got us a great interest rate, that even our credit union couldn t match. Wonderful customer service all the way around. Very happy!

Was charged for something that wasn t even done to my car. This is the second time this has happened when dealing with this service department. Waited longer than people who arrived after I did, so wait times are not the best. Service department needs to work on customer satisfaction and making sure people aren t overcharged.

I always try to use Keith as my adviser because he is very knowledgeable and use to be a mechanic himself. I have a 2008 Highlander and it unfortunately is needing many repairs lately even though I am very thorough about having the maintenance done on it. He knows I am on a fixed income so he works with me and lets me know what I absolutely need to have done vs. what can wait. I am a retired aircraft mechanic and the advisers, mechanics as well as the courtesy drivers do not get the thanks they deserve. Trying to properly diagnose a problem with a vehicle takes time and people want it done right this minute! They just don't understand that there is no exact science to it and unless the problem can be duplicated by the mechanic they only have what the owner says to go on. I have been going to them for years and I am a woman and I understand the language. They are not trying to rip you off or get you to pay more money for parts. They get far more business from repeat customers like me. They don't get any joy out of dealing with ugly people with ugly and demanding personalities. Courtesy shuttles are a relatively new thing. Back in the day, you either had to wait or get your own ride so the next time you go try to keep these things in mind and you will find you will have a much better experience. These people work hard all day long and they usually never get thanked. Do you know the name of your mechanic? Your adviser? You should ask. They have families too.

Granted, I was only going in for a car inspection. But, holy moly, they had me out before I could eat the free danish. (And I was a hour early for the appointment)
As always the people there are great, and the email notification takes the surprise out of "your car is ready"!
Always get my service done there and always will.

I have never had so many people lie to me so many ...

I have never had so many people lie to me so many times in such a short period of time.

Without offering excessive detail, I will tell you that I was given a printed statement that I would get $17,000 for my 2008 Highlander. My husband received a voicemail message that said (three times) that we could 'name our price' because they wanted to 'do whatever it takes to make our deal work.' 'Our price' was above $17,000 but it was more than reasonable for the condition of our car. When we spoke to the floor manager, he showed us printout that I'd never seen which said the absolute lowest they could/would ever offer us for the Highlander was $18,750. He had no comment when we produced the offer of $17,000. He also was unable to respond to the voicemail that my husband played back for him.

They also looked at our Car Fax ...which we had, of course, done as well. There is a clear clerical error showing that I put over 71,000 (rather than 17,000) miles on the car in about 2 years. All subsequent years show reasonable and consistent increases in mileage, and my car had less than 70,000 miles on it while we were sitting in Hendrick Toyota. ...we were accused of rolling back the odometer.

When my husband spoke to the floor manager along with HIS manager without me present, they accused me of lying. They said that two nights prior, when I met with the salesman, I had accepted a proposal. This is not a statement that the salesman would verify, since it was not true. I had left the dealership saying that I would discuss the transaction with my husband ...hence the reason he had left a voicemail on my husband's phone saying that we could 'name our price' and that he 'would do anything to work this deal out for us.' I had never met the two managers who accused me of lying.

This is a small glimpse into what proved to be a terrible evening for us at Hendrick. They (and their service department, with whom I have never had one bad experience) will never receive our business again.

We actually ended up abandoning the brand altogether. We were treated extremely well by David and Matt at Stevenson Acura. I highly recommend that look over there. They offered us over $2000 more than Toyota for our trade in and gave us a wonderful deal on our purchase.

If you stick with Toyota, please be extremely well prepared (research your car so that you know its worth). Otherwise, you may not get what its worth. It also wouldn't hurt to get results of your conversations with salesmen in writing. It didn't help us, but it gave us clear and irrefutable defense when addressing one of their lies. Perhaps a different manager will handle your situation differently.

I live out of town and every time my car needs repair, I drive out of my way to Hendrick because my car is always handled with care and in a timely manner. Drew Stevens is the best service advisor there. He cares about you and will explain every step of the way in detail.

Did not expect to trade in my car while I was there for service. But the incentives were great and most important, the sales person was very knowledgeable and had a no-pressure to buy attitude. The Toyota low interest incentive made it impossible to refuse. We love our new car!

Plan accordingly when making your service appointments. You can expect to wait any random period of time from 20 mins, up to a few hours, even with an appointment; especially later in the afternoon.

However, most recent visit was ultra timely and the service advisor (Frank) who checked me out was friendly, thorough, and answered my questions confidently.

EDIT 12/6: Found MUCH better results scheduling 1st thing in the AM and just dropping car off.

Unrelated to service, Kurt H is a legend. See him for the best test drive of your life if looking to buy or lease.

I had to buy a new car because my car got flooded out, it was a Toyota Sienna 2011 and I really liked my car. I decided to look at comparable vehicles before driving the Toyota again. I stopped by Toyota and met Chad and told him I only wanted to look at an SUV a little smaller than the van and that I would not drive it till I drove others. Chad showed me the Highlander. After driving other SUV's that were comparable I went back to drive the Toyota Highlander. I was sold as soon as we left the lot. Chad was an amazing salesperson. He made me want to buy a car from him. Thank you Toyota for making my experience a success.

The service department has always been very straightforward with me regarding my service and upcoming needs and concerns for my Scion. They have always been able to schedule me in given my varying schedule. Their staff are professional and do not pressure additional services unless necessary for one's driving safety. Their waiting area in the new service/dealership is very clean, complete with comfortable chairs, television, snacks, and space for kids to play while parents wait.

The only problem is trying to get a service appointment on the website. Been an issue for months. Should fix the app or remove it.

I just moved to the area 6 mos ago and t'was time my my Prius' 45,000 mile checkup. I found the service techs--both women--extremely helpful at check in. They transferred my paperwork from NJ to NC and explained what was covered for this service. The customer lounge with coffee and comfortable seating was welcoming, clean, cheerful and well lit. They came and fetched me when my car was ready. Toyota has the best service bar none and I've owned a Mercedes, Nissan 300ZX, Dodge, Ford and Chevys.

3 years and 8 months ago, I walked into Neuwirth Motors with bad credit, no license, and no money down. I pointed at a jeep patriot because I had drove a friends and liked it. Well neuwirth didnt disappoint and," got me done, or So they say in the industry". Long story short, I signed a contract that was not only front loaded with a 24 percent interest rate, but also offered no principle payoff. Fast forward to today. I have climbed the corporate ladder of my company into management, paid off some bad loans, and was able to set aside a little bit of change to put down. I wanted a Toyota Tacoma. And in my six month search, I was practically laughed out of multiple dealerships ( INCLUDING NEUWIRTH) because of the 8,000 dollars in negative equity on my jeep, and ( credit score, that while in repair. Was not what one would consider good). I am in sales, I knew very well my situation and what I wanted. I just wanted someone to shoot me straight ( is this so hard?), and take a chance on someone who ( in person) didnt equal the sum of their parts on paper, but so much more. Dharma leggat ( sales person), Eddy ( sales manager) and Reed (F/ I manager) were a combination of humility, honesty (as much as we sales people can be), and integrity. These guys at Hendricks Toyota of Wilmington, took a chance on me and treated me like a person. I can't/ wont speak for the whole staff there. But I can say this. If it weren't for these three people, I would NOT had bought there. IT MATTERS WHO YOU ASK FOR, SO DO YOURSELF THE FAVOR OF ASKING FOR DHARMA LEGGIT so that he can connect you with this combination of people. Btw. I love my 2018 Toyota Tacoma. Thanks guys. I Will see you again!!

I bought a 2019 RAV 4 last week. Dawn Fromme' , the sales agent, did an outstanding job providing information and showing me the new features of the car. Taking obvious pride in her work, she had me watch her set up the computer system to make sure I understood. Most importantly, she has told me to call or come back for anything I don't understand concerning the car. There is no question that she is determined that her customers are satisfied with their new purchase. From all the people I worked with at Hendrix Toyota, I received excellent service.

I had great experience from the team. I brought in my Prius for two recalls. They were able to drive me back to my house while the work was being done. I noticed they've re-vamped the waiting area which I really liked. The Starbucks coffee was a plus! They aligned my car for free since one of the recalls was associated with steering. I also received a carwash free of charge. I didn't leave much in the car but what was in there was untouched. The customer service representative was also very friendly and prompt.

Overall a great experience.

Even though I was late and they were behind, service was expedient. I had to have more services performed (I kinda had an idea I would need them) and everything was explained to me by the technician servicing my car. I had a brief but informative conversation about everything and a bit more that needed to be done. The additional work was done in the time estimated. I am very satisfied with my experience.

My last service was a 2 part experience. The first was frustrating since they didn't complete the work (too busy, hadn't started yet) and didn't bother to call and tell me until very late that afternoon. They kept my car until the following midday. Very inconvenient. They need to need to work on better customer communication. The second, to cover a following warranty issue, was handled efficiently.

No one is perfect, but Hendrick Toyota Scion of Wilmington comes pretty close. Walking into a showroom to purchase a car can be an intimidating experience. Especially if you have never gone about it alone. I was convinced that I would need to take along a seasoned car buyer to help me with the negotiations, but that turned out not to be the case. When I drove on the lot, on a Sunday afternoon, just after the dealership had closed for the day, I was approached nicely by the sales manager, Adam. He shook my hand with a smile. When I told him what Toyota I was looking for, he informed me that a trade in had just come in and that it might be just what I was looking for. I returned the next day and was greeted by a saleslady named Tamira. She was very friendly and helpful. When I had questions about the 4WD that she couldn't answer with 100% accuracy, she turned to her colleagues for the correct answers. I ended up buying a Toyota 4Runner that day with Tamira guiding me through the process. Adam, the sales manager, stepped it to help finalize the negotiations. The process was easily executed, however there was one glitch. My 4Runner needed a clip on the passenger side door, and it was part of the contract that the clip would be replaced promptly.The clip was not replaced when I picked up the vehicle, as promised. This was not the fault of Tamira, it was simply an oversight. I did have to call a couple of times to follow up the simple fix. Thanks to the extremely helpful assistance of a woman named Jamie Lynn in the service department, the part was tracked down and the clip was replaced. Between, Adam, Tamira and Jamie Lynn, I had an excellent experience purchasing my first Toyota. I will definitely be recommending Hendrick Toyota Scion to my friends and family. In fact, should anyone come across this review that is interested in buying a Toyota or Scion, I recommend asking for Tamira, as she is hands on and honest.

Not good from start to finish for me purchasing a used vehicle.
As a women I trusted that when they said the Jeep had NO RUST that I did not have to get under it and look.
You tell me what the pic looks like ? Rust ?
Oh and the death wobbles started on the drive home to another state and at owned 4 months it's happened over 2 dozen Xs. Basicly a Dangerous vehicle but ALL I HAVE.
Keep trying to add pic ...want take.huh... have added others on feedback
The rust pics which show a hole thru metal are where the track bar is located and maybe the cause of death wobbles.
The headlights which I did not need till I drove in dark where so yellowed and foggy that the light being put out would not pass a inspection and needed a less than $10 for me repair to clear kit so they would be clear and put out.
They did NOTHING TO THIS CAR. Less than 200 miles from a Oil Change and they did not change it.

Unbelievable service and professionalism. We are new to Wilmington and we are absolutely amazed everyday at the friendliness and kindness of strangers. We knew exactly what we wanted and this dealer bent over backward to make it happen. Very good experience. Our salesperson Matt is amazing.
Update: The service dept is like another dealership. We have been here three times for service. Everytime we come with an appointment you have to stand at your service advisor for at least 20 mins just to drop off or pick up your car. I get they are busy but cant any of the other service advisors page the person or help the customer? Also my last oil charge again an appointment took 1 1/2 hours. I've been here three times and have never had my vehicle washed. Not very friendly either. very different from the sales experience. I'll just have to find another Toyota dealer
