Purchasing my new Toyota was an excellent experience! I am most impressed by the sales representatives; so well mannered, nicely dressed, friendly, and well spoken. Jim Reed was quite knowledgeable and explained many features of my RAV4 in an understandable manner. ( The new electronics are quite challenging to an eighty year old!) All of the financial details were clearly explained . Daisy was most impressive and quite delightful. Both are an asset to your dealership . I look forward to driving my beautiful new RAV4 !

Service and courtesy are outstanding at this Toyot...

Service and courtesy are outstanding at this Toyota dealer. The waiting area offers coffee and pastries. Every employee seems to have a sincere interest in making you feel welcome and well cared for. I paid for the servicing package when I bought my car here and it has been well worth the money. I don't pay a cent when I take my car in to service. Besides the regular oil changes, I have had a few issues with the car that have been addressed immediately and without hesitation by the service department.

It was a great experience. Everyone with whom I had contact was extremely professional. This is my first Toyota. I could not be more pleased the "deal" I got. I needed a vehicle that is easier to get into and out of a sedan. The RAV4 is perfect.

As always, Hendrick did a great job with the car, and it was done quickly. My only surprise was that none of the Hendrick folks had masks on, even though many of the customers did. Since masks don't protect the wearer but keep the wearer from spreading the virus, I thought that was inconsiderate of the customers.

Hands down, best car buying experience my family has ever had. From our initial interaction with the sales representative, to the business manager facilitating the closing paperwork, to the service department introductions - everything was top quality. The people were friendly and personal, not pushy, and I felt that I was valued as a customer, not just a transaction. I will definitely recommend Hendrick Toyota Scion of Wilmington to others.

I came in to Hendrick Toyota and met Skip and immediately felt comfortable with him. No haggling or pressuring. He was very honest and helpful. I left that day and looked around at other dealerships and had a horrible time! Came back to Hendrick Toyota and let skip sell me my pre-owned Toyota Carolla. I was so happy with Skip and with Toyota that I brought my girlfriend and her parents back and they also purchased cars the same day! Thank you Skip, you were awesome!

Update for Sept 2020, still a great dealership. Scott and Greg are great.
Hendrick Toyota is a Great dealership. I go to the dealership for all of my service for my 2017 Camry, however my recent visit was the NC Safety Inspection. Called, had an appointment within 45 minutes, waited 30 minutes in their comfortable lounge with my great free cup of Starbucks Coffee, and ... they washed my car. Josh F., thanks for your great service.

5 star sales team! Willie Jackson and Scott are awesome....... A year ago I gave this place 5 stars. That is until I found out they over charged me dearly for my car and ever since 6mo into this car I've been trying to trade it because I am as the dealer put it "upside down" in my car. I am having a time trying to trade it because it is worth nothing but I owe a lot on it due to being over charged. I went back in July to try and trade it they only wanted to give me $4000 for my car and Willie Jackson tried to sell me another car with very high miles and well over the value of the car. When I left a year ago I told my parents and my brother about my "great" experience They all went and purchased cars with Hendricks and later found that they were over charge but neither were over charge as bad as I was. Lesson learned and this is one place that my entire family has agreed to never do business with again. I will always share my experience with everyone I meet especially women, single mothers and elderly ppl. I advise ppl to stay clear of this place.

You guys did great!! Casey was very nice, professional and patient. She helped us with the process and could not have been nicer. Even though the service was just for state vehicle inspection, we felt as though we were treated with respect. My wife and I have Lexus vehicles, but we will come to your business for all of the maintenance that can be done by you folks. And its not just because of the 2 hr drive to Raleigh. We were both very impressed with this service and we both perform the scheduled maintenance as required so we will be seeing you soon!!!

DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. we purchased an SUV in March from Hendrick. We have yet to receive the headphones for the car, that were listed in the car listing. The tail light has been out since we purchased and the car has had a shimmy. We have spoken to management in both the service department and used car sales. We have also spoken to our sales person, who is no longer there. Nobody will call us back, we have waited in the waiting area for hours for some kind of answers. If you d like to buy a car and receive ZERO customer service, buy from Hendrick Toyota. If you d like a company that stands behind the cars that they sell.... look else where.

Bought a used 2018 Toyota camery SE about 5 weeks ago. Told me they were gonna mail me the spare key.. so I waited a couple weeks, then called still had the same answer. So I make a trip up there and the finance manager you get what you get when you get a used car just the disrespect for a first time buyer is just crazy I thought I loved the place, Thankfully Eddie Soles took care of us and is working to get my key now. (Will update review once key is given)

I received a friendly greeting the moment I arrived. My service manager met me, entered all the service details, and then gave us a tour of the area. He met the estimated wait time, went over the bill with me when done, and washed and sanitized the vehicle. It was a pleasant experience all around.

The man that s was helping me was rude and didn t seem to want to help at all. I came to have my car serviced and fixed because It wouldn t even turn on without being jumped. When I came back when my car was supposed to have been fixed I paid $300 almost and walked out to my car to find all the original warning dash lights on and Thomas just said it was his fault . Bad service. Very disappointed with Toyota Wilmington. Definitely not recommending it to anyone.

After writing this review I was contacted by the dealership and they worked very hard to right their wrongs. My car was picked up and taken care of. They even washed it for me! The men that helped me (Greg/Mr. Pope) were very kind and worked very quickly then brought my car back too me. I m hoping that the first service I received doesn t happen again and from not on they treat people right the very first time when paying for a service. I m grateful for the time they took to fix the issue.

I am pleased to say that Toyota of Wilmington goes beyond any other dealerships I have dealt with in sales and service of the vehicles they sell. The staff is customer friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate the customers that are waiting for their vehicles. If they find a problem with the vehicle you are told in advance of what needs to be done and you decide if that works for you. Online schedule gives the customer a choice of what works best for servicing the vehicle.

It is unbelievable to me how inferior this dealers...

It is unbelievable to me how inferior this dealership is in Wilmington compared to the Hendrick in Charleston, SC, from buying my forerunner to now having it serviced.
When buying the car, our salesperson was from Austria, but his name escapes me. After thorough research and understanding the pricing for extra features, we requested $2,000 off the price and the salesperson said he would try and work something out but left my husband and I sitting around waiting for over an hour all to come back and say sorry, there was nothing he could do. Additionally, the extra features we wanted installed he quoted prices that were triple what the Toyota website stated. He and the manager were quiet rude and demanding with how they handled themselves and as we left, the manager said, good luck getting your hands on a forerunner, they are very difficult to come by.
I then called Hendrick in Charlotte, Raleigh and Charleston letting them know exactly what I was looking for and could they deliver and if so what would the price be. All came back with initial prices of at least a $2,000 savings over what Hendrick Wilmington offered and that was not even with a negotiation. But Charleston came back with a whopping $5,000 savings over what we would have paid in Wilmington. Apparently this was because it came right off the ship and didn t need to be floor planned. When I told Charleston about my Wilmington experience they couldn t believe it. When I started telling others in the Wilmington community of my story, it was so interesting how many others had similar stories. My neighbors for example, were set to buy a Landcruiser but couldn t stomach the rude salesperson so they bought a Rangerover instead and are thrilled with it and the service they get too. It is unbelievable how rude this Toyota dealership is; that is what there local dealership culture seems to be.
I had at least thought the service side would be different, but that has not been my experience. When I called to book my service, I asked to include a full car wash/detail because in the past they would give me a code and tell me to clean it myself, which was a stark difference to Volvo, which I had grown accustomed to their superior service. But that s ok, I don t mind paying to have that done, if that s how this dealership operates, but it seems I can t even have that accomplished in a timely manner. I brought my vehicle in for a 6:30pm appointment, and it was my understanding that it would be finished later that evening, however it was more convenient for me to pick it up the next morning, and I informed the service rep, Julie, of that. By 11am when I came to get my car the next day, the car wash or interior detail had not been completed. Julie, could not have been more rude and said it was not included in the initial order and that was the reason for the delay but it was in the initial order and the day before when I dropped my car off, she gave me no indication that it would it would be an issue picking the car up in the morning so I came at 11am to make sure they had plenty of time to complete the service but no such luck. She didn t care one bit about it either, she just wanted me to move along and get out of her hair. It makes me wonder what they actually do in their customer training program if they even have one.
So apparently I can t even pay extra to have decent customer service or to have my car cleaned at Toyota.
As inconvenient as it is, I will coordinate my visits to Charleston to have my car serviced, as they have already offered to help me out if I ran into issues with Hendrick Wilmington.
Some reputation you have Hendrick of Wilmington! What a terrible dealership!

If you guys could stop pushing new cars onto unsuspecting elderly that come to get their existing cars serviced, that would be awesome. Offering my mother a Prius at full price at the end of model year, while forgetting to pay off her existing car, yet taking advantage of the trade-in value is just shameful. What's the plan here? Trick her into signing paperwork she doesn't fully understand, cash out, then let her deal with the fallout?

Very nice people and they hold to their schedule, but look out, they will charge you unbelievable fees for service. I needed a little plastic T for my windshield washer that connects all the tubing. My guess is that they buy a bag of 100 for about $5.00. They charged me $17.07 for the tiny T, $48.00 for labor and then had the gull to add $4.32 for a service charge. Are these people crazy. My doctor doesn't charge like that, I probably will not be able to sit down for a week..

Update. I was contacted as soon as I posted this review by the dealership and they agreed with me that I was way over charged. They were responsive, and sent me a full refund check as an apology for the treatment. That goes a long way with me . It's obvious that customer service is important to the people at Hendrick Toyota, and they went out of their way to correct things. I only hope that the policy of how they charge is reviewed and corrected.

Hendrick Toyota is a great place to take your care for services! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the lounge is VERY nice if you choose to wait, and the website is an easy way to set up appointments. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Upon deciding to purchase a new vehicle, all good indicators kept pointing me in the direction of Hendrick Toyota. I searched their website and narrowed my choices down to 4 cars. I emailed them with my questions and promptly received a phone call and a follow up email answering all of my questions. I went to the dealership a couple of days later to do some test driving. The sales person, Kurt answered more of my questions about the various models. He was very knowledgeable about the various options etc. While we filling out the paperwork, their associate Kourtney (that had emailed me) came over and introduced herself. Their finance manager took his time to juggle the numbers with me until we could come up with a deal that I was happy with. Once we had finished and I was ready to drive away in my new Camry, I asked Kurt about leaving my old vehicle their for a few days until I could make arrangements to return and get it. He was more than happy to do that for me. When I returned a few days later to pick up my old car, once again Kurt found me and offered to have my new car refilled with gas (since it's 60 miles from home to the dealership) and he had the guys detail my car again, since it had been raining on the day I made my purchase and he wanted me to experience driving a shiny new vehicle. It was those small gestures that made me really appreciate dealing with Hendrick Toyota.

My RAV4 service Experience at Hendricks Toyota Wilmington was, as usual, excellent.
The service tech, Frank Barbara, carefully explained how a problem with a loose rubber strip on the roof would be fixed and the cost. and time required. This was done along with tire rotation, oil change, safety inspection. Another five star performance! Thank you, Frank and the mechanic who did the job.

I can honestly say I had a great experience at Hendrick Toyota in Wilmington, NC. 99% of that was due to Matt Leach. He listened to my needs, my budget, and what I would like to have. He hunted a 100 degree parking lot to find what I wanted and would be really happy in. Thank you Matt for a great car buying experience. Especially my first after losing my husband!

Oh, my, where to begin. Daisy Mabe is an amazing...

Oh, my, where to begin. Daisy Mabe is an amazingly dedicated
salesperson with whom we've purchased 4 vehicles to date.
Daisy and the Hendrick Team always make buying a vehicle an
at least pleasant experience, professionally and personally.

I don't know a better feeling than knowing you can inherently
trust someone to facilitate such a large and important purchase.

We were in a T-bone collision with our 2016 Prius, which, by the
way, stood up very well to the kind of bashing it took on the
driver's-side back-seat area. It could have been so much
more damaging in a different make of auto.

It was under those conditions that we needed to replace that Prius,
which we did with a 2019 Prius, same fire-engine red, same bells
and whistles which have become more wanted necessity than
"negotiable." We wouldn't want to drive without all of them!

We were in our new Prius within 3 days of the collision, and it was
as painless and positive an experience as it could possibly have been.

So, thank you, Daisy Mabe, and Thomas, and everyone else who made
such a painless transition possible and even pleasant.

I paid extra to purchase a Toyota battery from them with an 8 year warranty. 3 years later the battery dies. I can t find the receipt and they can t find proof of me purchasing the battery. It s a Toyota battery that clearly is dead and left me stranded with the date of purchase sticker still on it. I wish I would have saved 150$ and bought it from a parts store

Weint in to the parts department on 7/1/2019 around 5 pm or so. When I told the person working in the parts department I needed automatic transmission fluid for my RAV4 he went of on this speech of how different cars use different fluids and that they don't typically sell one or two quarts so they won't open a new case up just for that as id he was trying to make me feel stupid. Then I told him the year make and model of my vehicle and he was still unable to tell me what fluid I needed at which point I disturbed my husband at work to ask him, as he knows Toyota's pretty well. He informed me that it was WS that I needed and I told the clerk this and he got them for me which was about the only thing he did right.

My point here is that when a customer asks you for any fluid/part the next immediate question should be year, make, and model so you can reference the information needed. Any question other than that just doesn't make sense. I feel that there is one bad person working in the parts department here that needs to be weeded out as my husband refuses to go to this dealership due to another instance of the same ignorance being displayed thus ruining the Heindrick Toyota image.

This the second time this happen. So now really convince that the worker don't do what they say. So I'm wondering have I been getting oil changes. Will not be back.

I went in for a test drive and ended up leaving with my first new car - a Black Currant (which is purple :) - 2016 RAV 4 I am totally in love with. The sales man Jake was very helpful and informative. The whole process was relatively painless, and took only a couple hours. They made sure the car was washed before I left the lot - even though there was only 5 miles on it when I test drove it :) That's a great customer experience!

In 2010 when I started looking to buy a Tacoma, I first started looking locally in Wilmington, but the sales department at Hendrick was not willing to work with me so I ended up buying exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted from Town and Country Toyota in Charlotte. While their sales department might not have been the helpful, their service department has been awesome. I've always dealt with Dara Hunter, who has been nothing but helpful, professional, and a joy to work with, that is until I came in to get my 35,000 mile service. Beforehand, they have not try to sell me anything I didn't need, but this time around they tried charging me over $400 in services that were not necessary. They also wanted to charge me over $200 to fix the AC blower motor which they had to already replace once because of a recall and now the recalled part was showing the same problems a little over a year later. I will continue to get my service done at Hendrick while under warranty because I love dealing with Dara, but the company is just like other dealerships trying to sell more services than is needed.

Purchased a 2014 Prius 3 and had a very pleasant experience. Purchase was on a Sunday afternoon and we did not feel rushed to complete the purchase so the sales office could close. The negotiation process was fair and easy. I feel I received a good price for the car with the features I wanted.

Thomas was very polite, as well as informative and knowledgeable about the vehicle I purchased. He went out of his way to make sure my wife and I knew how to operate the vehicles extras before we left.
I don't know about the other sales people there ,(everyone seemed extremely professional and nice) but I would definitely recommend you seek out Thomas, to help you with the purchase of your new car.

Best auto service experience I ve had. Joe H got me checked in quickly, and thoroughly listened to my issues (note: I bought my truck used from another local dealership); he offered a shuttle ride home, called mid-afternoon with a status update and sent a shuttle to pick me up.

The service area was spotless and seemed more like a luxury car dealer than Toyota. Above and beyond expectations!
