I took my car in on 2/16 and when I told Hollie Kaminsky that I was pushed for time, she made arrangements to have my car ready an hour before what was expected. She has helped me in a previous visit as well and I really appreciate that she checks up with me promptly if anything comes up or if there is a delay.

I recently purchased a used vehicle from Alejandro Ramirez and had a great experience! It was important to me to have my local mechanic preform a pre-purchase inspection on the vehicle however, my mechanic is located in Northeast LA. Alejandro spoke with his manager, Ricky, and they were more than willing to allow me to get my own PPI. Alejandro drove the car himself to my mechanic early on a Saturday morning and showed up early! Once I got back to the dealership, he had everything ready to go and I met with Hassan in finance shortly after. Hassan explained everything in a clear and thorough manner, which I greatly appreciated because I had a lot of questions! By the time I finished up, the car was detailed and ready to go. I was done with the buying process in a few hours.

I looked at all the other fuel-cell vehicles for lease and sale, including some models not yet available, Toyota's Marai was definitely the car for me. Several months ago I applied to be one of the pioneers of this technology. Once my application was approved, I was off to Santa Monica Toyota. I dropped by signed a few papers regarding my commitment and made a small deposit on the vehicle. I was told by a salesmen filling in for the specially trained people assigned to the program, I would hopefully expect delivery in late November. On 23 November I called in, to inquire about delivery, to the person assigned to my purchase. I called three times and left two messages ,yet there was no response. So I called the manager. He looked up my purchase agreement and told me my car had not even been built yet, That the earliest delivery date would be April 2016. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Two days later, Edwin Fuentes, who coordinates the program called. They had a car with 67 miles on it. It was the same color that I ordered and technically, because it had already been registered, it was used. Did I want the car?
From the time I was introduced to Mr.Fuentes, in the showroom, till we parted at the hydrogen station, could not have been more than a couple of hours.
I was amazed, considering the complication of having to change the registration, at how fast the process was complete, including submitting an application for a state rebate. Also, as Toyota provides complementary fuel for the first three years, Edwin had to change the swipe card, used at participating service stations. I was never passed from person-to-person or department to department. Mr. Fuentes took me through the entire process, explained clearly what I was signing, he helped me set up passwords for apps connected to the car and finally escorted me to the closest hydrogen vendor, where he talked me through the entire fueling procedure, before sending me off in my new car. By the way, the President of the dealership, as well as his sales department head, made it a point to introduce themselves. Well done.

Nightmares! Lawsuit is over so I can talk about it. So the staff are a bunch of liars. Shady business practices. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy. The car that I purchased used from them needed a transmission as I found out within a couple of weeks. I returned over and over only to be told that they didn't see any issues with it. Five times I think it was.All day waiting lost time from work. And all I got was Lies! Finally when I purchased a vehicle diagnostics device for myself and showed them were they finally able to see there was a issue. "But guess what Sir your vehicle warranty just expired"! How convenient for them. Anyway don't ever,ever, ever, ever go to this place! YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!

Terrible service. Complete lack of customer support. Only looking out for their bottom line. Lie to you and don't follow through on their promises.

Just last weekend my Scion FR-S dies completely out of the blue on the 405 while my wife was driving it. This is a car that is just over one year old, bought new and under warranty.

We get it towed to this service center Saturday because it's close and despite previous issues with poor warranty service, they seem to be turning it around. Eddie Sandoval tells us: "We'll know what's wrong by the end of the day!" and "We'll cover you for a rental. Just call us Monday morning!".

Monday morning comes around. No word about what is wrong with the car. What's worse is that they don't call back after repeated voicemails and I have to walk down to the service center and ask what the hell is going on.

Turns out they're "waiting on authorization from Japan". "This has never happened before!" and I'm SOL. You can rent a car from us they say! Gee great! Nice bait and switch fellas. You promised a free rental and now I'm late to work. The last thing I'm going to do is give your company some money.

Fast forward to Tuesday: if the issue is the clutch, we will not pay for it! But we need to tear down the transmission. If the issue is in the transmission we will cover it.

I ask, so hey, tearing down a transmission sounds like a lot of work. If you don't find anything in the transmission, since you are doing this for investigatory work under a warranty, I'm not going to pay for that right?

No. If we don't find anything *YOU* pay for the tear down.

Ladies and gentlemen: The quality Toyota Warranty. Warranty and customer support means nothing to this company. Perhaps I have been too spoiled by Apple who actually, you know, fix their product when it breaks and don't try to gouge their customers.

Shame on Toyota.

Karl Kaminsky helped me with my service this weekend, 05/17/2014. Our car was just getting a 10,000 mile check up, and unfortunately my girlfriend and I were in a bit of time crunch. Karl did everything he could to get us out quickly. He understood our service would probably be routine and quick, so he expedited our car to get checked out. Even though it was EXTREMELY busy we were out of there in under 2 hours. He even offered to mail our receipt for the service to our house so we could leave sooner. 5 stars.

I had the good fortune of being connected to Mark Ashtini of their internet sales.
It was a Saturday in January but Mark was extremely prompt and thorough with his information and quotes and answering my questions via phone and text.
Within a couple of hours we had agreed on the price for the 2018 RAV4 SE Hybrid and I was on my way to Santa Monica for a test drive and to do paperwork.

I would definitely recommend Mark Ashtini if you are interested in buying a car and want to deal with someone who is thorough and who understands that your time is valuable.

i used to be impressed with how my preferred advisor used to handle my cars with upfront pricing of services and no surprises. but the last 3 times i've taken my cars in for service (mark lewis is no longer there) for simple routine maintenance / oil changes, the advisors try to push for $1200 in additional services. suspicious that each time it all seems to add up to $1200 including such ridiculous remarks as $50 to change the battery in my key fob ($3 on amazon), $400 to clean my battery terminals (free - baking soda & water) or $600 for an alignment ($99 at any alignment shop). needless to say i've passed on all of them. where it does get a bit criminal is when i took my car in for a simple oil change & they called to say it was going to be $650 for a new oil pan because their mechanic had stripped my drain plug. they wanted to charge me for their mechanic's mistake. i cc'ed their emails to a family friend who works as a consumer reporter and they immediately fixed it for free. another time their advisor said my car was due for a timing belt change for +$1000. i know my car & shook my head as i had to point out my car doesn't have a timing belt, but a timing CHAIN which doesn't need service at 50,000 miles.

i ve been very impressed with how service advisor Mark Lewis hustles to make my service appointments effortless. i was hesitant to post a comment with his name only because i was afraid others would start taking up his time.

hustling service advisors seems to be a thing of the past. all too often you drive up & wait as you see plenty of employees in casual chat with one another. it shouldn t be your job to flag one of them off their gossip to help you. every time i drive up, Mark steps out to greet me & let me know i will be tended to shortly if he is with a customer. i can definitely tell the days when he is off as the first scenario usually plays out. all of the service advisors need to bump up their game to match Mark s level of hospitality & hustle.

Toyota Santa Monica has always given me good service. I was taking my 2004 Toyota 4runner there for the longest time and it was always taken care of.

They have been super helpful and Joanna has always been an awesome service rep. Between her and Sam Mull, I've always had super good experiences.

They treat me right and even repaired a faulty break line in September 2017 that was missed during a routine service. That was done free of charge due to the fact that it was missed.

I dropped my car off the night before and got the call to pick it up the next morning 10 min after my promised time. I am heartbroken. This place used to be top-notch, but today they lost my trust and my business.
Since buying my Prius here in 2010, I have faithfully brought my car back to Santa Monica Toyota for maintenance. Up until today, the service has been terrific--efficient and reasonably priced. Today, however, I brought my car in to Erica, the assistant manager. I booked my appointment online and was quoted $236 for the 60,000 mile maintenance my car required. When Erica checked me in, she was perky, friendly, and promised to find me coupons to help with the price. Then, after reading me, the same list of maintenance items I had read online, she told me that my "discounted" price would be $639--almost three times as much as the online quote. What??!! I gave her the price I was quoted online and asked about the discrepancy, and she said that the price varies from car to car. I told her that my car is in the computer system. Toyota knows exactly what kind of car I have--the make, model, mileage, etc.--and what services, oils, and fluids. I got the quote AFTER logging in and seeing that the system recognized me and my car, so her lame excuse for the price discrepancy was ridiculous. She didn't even bother to argue. She shrugged her shoulders and said, "Well, you can take it somewhere else."
Alas, it has come time to part ways with my traitorous, formerly beloved dealership service center. The bait and switch is an ugly game. Save your time and money and go somewhere else!

Went into Toyota SM to get a lease price comparison and Pedro was extremely helpful. I had already test driven a Prius Plug-in Hybrid and just wanted the best deal possible, not wanting to spend the entire evening at the dealer. Pedro and his team accomplished that for me by beating my other dealer quote, plus they had the exact model that I wanted. I was in and out within two hours. Pedro even stayed late with me to ensure I understood how to work the touch screen system and offered to set up the Entune app. Everyone was super nice and I will definitely refer them to my friends.

I had the most pleasant experience today buying a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from Toyota of Santa Monica. From test drive to signed papers, the whole transaction took only an hour and a half AND it was EASY and painless and extremely service oriented. Not only did I get a great price on the vehicle with no haggling drama, Court (the finance guy) helped me find an even better APR on my loan than my bank had offered. Pedro (the sales guy) followed me home in the vehicle I had borrowed to get to the dealership so I could drive my new ride off the lot and Bob (the sales manager) is going to help me get a second programmed key that the car didn't come with. This was my second time acquiring a car with Toyota of SM and I can't recommend them highly enough! Great buying experience. Thanks guys!

Mr. Christopher Rinker was our service specialist at Santa Monica Toyota. He provided an exceptionally professional and timely service to us. I have had multiple Toyota's and its because of professionals like Mr. Rinker that I continue to take my automobiles to Toyota for service. The level of professional service and cordial attendance along with the strong field knowledge exhibited by Mr. Rinker is the reason why a company can make a good reputation as such.

Go out of your way to NOT go here. Horrible customer service. I had a recall for my Prius so I called to schedule an appointment. They tell me they don't have the parts needed, which was fine, so they called me back when they got the parts needed and we scheduled the appointment for the following week. I get to my appointment and they tell me they don't have the parts needed for the fix. The guy gave me a non-apology. I bring it in the next day and spoke to the manager Aaron. No apology whatsoever. He basically threw the customer service guy under the bus and said "it happens". It messed up my plans for those days and a friend of mine's plans that coordinated rides to/from, and I had to pay for a Lyft. It also took over an hour longer than they said, which made me late to work.

They did a check of my car with an estimate of $1,300 for work and labor to fix the issues. I took it to the guy that sold me my car and he fixed everything for $200.

Lastly, they gave my information to the sales department and tried to buy my car from me for a fraction of its value and sell me a new car. The salesguy was one of the most awkward people I've ever met. It was so painful to speak to him it was actually pretty fun. He thought DC was a state and didn't realize it was the country's capital, then his blue ink from his pen went all over his hands and desk, and there were more hilarious things that happened. I was waiting for Candid Camera to pop out.

Anyways, go elsewhere.

I have nothing but gratitude to Hamid Zabehi, one of their best salesman, who guided me through the whole process of acquiring my first car. He had the answer to every single minuscule detail I asked about. It's been like dealing with a friend who knows about cars, instead of a salesman. This is the people that make the difference.

I was lucky enough to work with Service Adviser Pedro Lozano. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient. I couldn't have asked for more. He checked if there were any recalls for my 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid right when I was there and called me to keep me updated on any changes or issues. My car was ready even sooner than I expected.

However, the prices seemed incredibly high, and the labor costs were certainly excessive. While the customer service was great, I will have to consider other options the next time I do my car maintenance.

I walked in to Toyota of Santa Monica just to scout out how many Siennas were on the lot and when Justin Underwood approached me, I told him: "THIS WON'T BE A SALE..". After spending a few minutes with me, he made a suggestion that was much better suited to my needs and in the process saved me several thousand dollars. Thomas Soveg helped to service my car this past time and did a spectacular job keeping me clued in to what was needed (this time, two new front tires) and how long it would take. He also got me the best value tires which was very appreciated!

I have taken both our Toyota's in to Santa Monica Toyota for as long as we have had our cars; since 2006 for our Prius and 2007 for our Highlander. Each time we ask for and usually are able to have Marlon Castillo as our Service Manager. This is one of the most dedicated, knowledgable and responsible professionals I have ever met. He always takes the time to explain what needs to happen with our vehicles and never belays the pressure and the many responsibilities of his job.
I highly recommend Santa Monica Toyota Service and even more highly recommend asking for Marlon, he is a wonderful person who can be counted on. Toyota should be proud to have this man representing them.

This is a review of the amazing-great experience I had at Toyota of Santa Monica on Thursday August 23rd. Big shout-out to Chris Rinker the Service Manager , Jorge Robles the Sales Manager, Brand Specialist Joey Haro, and Chris Baldonado the Finance Manager! For getting me through the process of turning in my old lease and leasing my new Camry SE without having a nervous breakdown. I don't need to tell anyone how stressful it is when buying or leasing a new vehicle. I want to start by giving the highest marks possible to the BDC & Customer Relations Manager, Christopher Rinker. He deserves a medal, a raise, a trophy, and a vacation for just being able to deal with me over the past three years, and leading up to getting my new Camry SE. I am already a high-strung person who worries constantly, and I was a basket case leading up the end of my last lease. . Both Chris Rinker and the Sales Manager - Jorge Robles shepherded me through getting my new Camry. I had already come in to choose and test drive the vehicle I wanted in early August. I am not a trusting person by nature and have been buying cars both new and pre owned since the early 1980s. My past experiences at other dealerships have left me with a deep seeded aversion to auto sales and car salespeople in general. I've had more pleasant root canals than most of my experiences at dealerships. I am pleased to say, that all of my stress and worry were completely wasted energy. When I came into Toyota of Santa Monica to get my new car, everything was already prepared for me and the whole production was a breeze. Dealing with Chris Rinker and Jorge Robles was a breath of fresh air. Jorge worked with me to get the best possible deal that made me feel confident I was treated much more than fairly. Christopher Rinker is without question the best customer service professional I have ever encountered. He is an invaluable asset to their team that kept me calm from start to finish. He is the perfect company ambassador who obviously takes pride in his craft. Joey Haro treated me with respect and was enthusiastic and diligent in getting me through the whole process as quickly as possible. It's apparent that he has a great work ethic and competence level that seem to be 'old school'. It's too bad that dedication to detail and service are all but gone today, but the folks I dealt with at Toyota of Santa Monica are great examples of a gold standard of service. I hate going into any type of finance office or business affairs dept., but Chris Baldonado got me though all if the paperwork with good humor and alacrity. Customer service is the most important thing to me and seems to be a dying art. You can buy a car anywhere, but it's the place that treats you the best that will keep you coming back. I am a Toyota of Santa Monica customer for life now.
