I worked with Dino Zadeh at the dealership to lease a 2015 Toyota Prius. Dino was a pleasure to work with, and helped me find the deal that would best suit my budget and needs. I didn't feel the "car salesman" pressure at all -- he was just a great guy to work with, and very funny! I walked out with the car and the deal I was looking for, and Dino even helped me get my old car home. My only negative is that I went there on a weeknight at about 7pm, and got stuck in a crazy line for financing, which took 4 hours after Dino and I had already arrived at a deal.. I think it was a fluke, as the manager said that one of their financing people was home sick, but definitely made the process a bit more painful than it needed to be! All in all, Dino was fabulous and I had a relatively easy time getting exactly the car I wanted.

Infrequent, if ever, do I take the time to comment...

Infrequent, if ever, do I take the time to comment on purchases and services, with time constraints and mediocrity often and unfortunately carrying the day, but the care of my car, an indispensable value in my life, is of such great import, and the fact that I am so dependent on Toyota Santa Monica to fix and fine tune it, I felt a real need and sense of obligation to stand up for the men and women who take the care of my car so expertly and seriously. Across the board I think it is safe to say that their knowledgeable, informative, skillful and professional treatment of my car, and likewise of me as a customer and person, rises to a high level of consideration. For instance, Karl Kapinsky, at once a new and old hand at the business... new to the Santa Monica dealership, but a near 30 year veteran in the car service industry and longtime employee of Toyota, really amazed me from the first time he picked up the phone until he handed me my keys at 7:30 p.m. (30 minutes after closing... I was late.). During my short but fruitful encounter with Karl, I found him to be upfront, highly informed, comfortable with himself and me, and most adept at dealing with my mechanical breakdown insurance... I never had to speak with the company (whew!) at all. Repair, rental, insurance and all sailed through like a catamaran over the finish line. Once again, my car hums like happy bee and is rearing like skid-ish colt. Ask for him - you won't be sorry. As usual, Gary, the GM with the grin, was a very helpful, gracious and caring overseer. Even after many years into a decade at the helm, he stills know how to keep a well-oiled machine running, a man I still won't forget who rose to the occasion on my behalf, years ago, when my car and circumstances were not as easy flowing and going, if you know what I mean. I repay those and the other successful efforts by his employees by purchasing my autos at the dealership, recommending people to service their car there and always taking mine back for servicing and repairs. Also, Service Representative Mark Lewis is another good one who I have found is always trying to make your experience turn out positive. Furthermore, renting a car there, normally a frigging, boring hassle, seems to move like the worry-free breeze. Reyes always remembers you, is polite, thorough, and makes sure you don't have to wait even a single, unnecessary moment. Last, but most importantly, a shout-out to the invisible, but arguably the most important part of the wheel - the mechanics... you never see them, but the fact that neither does your car again, at least for that particular repair, is a testament to the superior nature of their skill and accuracy. I have never had to return my car ever for a repair or re-servicing, now going on 9 years for any of my cars, for any reason whatsoever. Lastly, like the last sip of a good Latte, I really appreciate the good humor, lightheartedness and laid-back feeling and matter that pervades the ambiance, so much you don't mind lounging around in the comfortable couches and chairs, jawing with the comers-and-goers, and sipping on the most addictive, very classiest cappuccino and lattes ever to trickle out of a machine and down your throat. This place is a winner.

Dino Zadeh and Tony Lunt helped me lease my Prius C and I had a very great experience. I can't say enough good things about the service I received. I had been to several other non-Toyota dealerships and was expecting the same routine, trying to negotiate with the salesperson and hearing made up numbers and nonsense to get me to buy. Toyota of Santa Monica was a different and positive experience. I did not feel pressured and I felt like I was being taken care of. It seemed that Dino had my interests in mind and was working with me to get me the deal and car I wanted. After we had come to an agreement, I worked with Tony to settle the financial stuff. He was also a pleasure to work with. He explained everything thoroughly and made sure to answer any questions I had. I would definitely lease from Toyota of Santa Monica again! Thank you Dino and Tony.

This was my second visit, the first was due to a nail in my tire on my several month old vehicle. The first visit I was given prompt treatment by Reyes Perez and directed to a tire shop to have it fixed. The next visit was for my 6 month service and I had a 9:20 appointment and was taken immediately (I was 10 minutes early) also by Reyes Perez. Again he gave me prompt service, gave me an estimate of the time it would take and called me when the vehicle was ready (on time). I have had excellent service on both visits.

We purchased a used Volvo here & in no part of the whole experience has this team lived up to Toyota's reputation.
An axle job that was completed to prepare the car for sale was completed incorrectly. When we purchased the car we had it inspected by Volvo of Orange who discovered the axle repair was done incorrectly & leaking significant oil/lube. We struggled getting someone to take ownership of this repair with Toyota of Santa Monica but thankfully they did the right thing & fixed their work.
Now it's 3 months later & our lender has never received the title & we still don't have plates. As with the other issues we experienced, no one calls back or takes ownership. I literally don't know what to do at this point except to see if there's an organization like Better Business who may be able to advocate fir us.

I had the absolute best experience working with Eric Howard at Toyota Santa Monica! He was extremely knowledgeable, answering all of my questions thoroughly and clearly. I never felt pressured or like I was being "sold"--Eric is very low key and couldn't be nicer. It was truly refreshing to work with him, and I'd STRONGLY recommend giving him a call if you're looking for a relaxed, low pressure car buying experience! The other people I worked with at the dealership were also low key and lovely. As long as I continue to be happy with Toyota's cars, I'm certain I'll work with Eric and Toyota Santa Monica many more times in the future.

My husband & I had a great experience buying our Prius from Patrick Quiroz at Santa Monica Toyota. I didn't even know that most dealers have an Internet Sales division, but now that we've gone through the process, I wouldn't buy a car any other way. The internet sales reps don't take a commission off your purchase, so there's no pressure. We did a lot of research ahead of time, and negotiated with a few dealerships via email, so we only had to go to one place to buy the car on the spot. Patrick was super helpful, friendly, easy-going & was able to match the best deal anywhere. There were no hidden fees or surprises when we showed up, everything had been disclosed prior to our in-person appointment, and all the math added up. Patrick was very patient & never rushed the process. Also, we worked with Richard in Finance, who was very nice and patient as there is a lot of paperwork to sign, and I read everything. He explained everything clearly & concisely, and he was also very personable. It was a very easy, pleasant experience all around. Thanks, Patrick & Richard!

Our experience was beyond exceptional! At the time Dane was our salesman and he went above and beyond to make sure we left there with the car we wanted. The finance portion was easy as well. Everything was explained no hidden fees or charges. This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had.

We had a sour experience with one of his cohorts though, and that led us to seek a car elsewhere. If It weren t for that issue, then we would have certainly bought here with Anthony!

Recent visit 5+. As always. My review from 2 years ago still says it all! : Let's face it...getting your car serviced isn't like going out for cocktails with friends so it helps when the service person is nice and professional and makes it turn key. That is what Joanna Tsymbaliuk at SM Toyota does. For a while she transferred to Manhattan Beach and I actually drove ALLLL the way from Santa Monica to have her be the service person. Then I saw the madness in that and Sam Mull in Santa Monica ended up as my guy. He also was great. Joanna is back now and so I am happy to report that you have two good options in terms of service person at SM Toyota. I also bought my car here and that was a good experience so overall I think it is well managed.

Thomas Soveg helped me when I took my Prius for maintenance- super nice and had a great attitude! He was friendly and explained everything so well. He showed me where the coffee was and helped me get a shuttle to work. He spent time explaining what they did to my car when he called me to say my car was ready. Also, what I really liked is that he smiled a lot so he made you feel welcomed. He seems like he really enjoys what he does and that makes him good at it. Thanks Thomas- you are one of the reasons why I stay in Santa Monica to get my car maintained!

I bought a Prius C today from Toyota Santa Monica with my wife. We first called to shop prices and spoke with Tony Dorrell, who was very informative, unaggressive, and invited us to come in. When we arrived, we were met by Mark Ashtini who provided us the best customer service I've ever experienced at a car dealership and I used to work at one. Mark was incredibly patient (much more patient than I was) with my wife and made sure she was comfortable with everything before moving forward. I could not be happier with the service and am looking forward to working with Tony and Mark in the future. At closing, Julie helped us with the paperwork quickly and was also very sweet and helpful. I loved it all around.

The staff seems to focus on helping their customers and not ripping them off. I service my car here and that is the extent of my relationship with them. I have walked around the auto sales area and they don't seem to have very many cars in stock. Also, the parts department looks very empty, I assume that they focus mainly on ordering parts.

I showed up and had to wait in line for 30 minutes only to be told the paperwork needed to be completed and I had the wait another 30 minutes. (Now 2 hours after being told my car was ready) The office is clearly understaffed or people don t know what they are doing.

I have received a letter from Santa Monica dealership about purchasing my car back and I went there. Usually I go direct to MARK because he is AMAZING person and goes out his way but that day he was not there and they recommend me DAVID. I went to him he first of all without giving me numbers of deals which I might like or not, he asked my ssn and put hard inquiry in my credit report, I several time asked him lets first talk about deals I might like or not. After all this he want to his supervisor came back and without almost explaining nothing shakes my hand and said "thank you for coming". So what all this means"? first of all they just sending letters left and right. Secondly: I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND DAVID. They took half of my Saturday....

I showed up for my first service at 7am appt time and was greeted by a service advisor. He completed paperwork quickly and I was out of there. I was told the service would take about 90 min to 2 hrs. I received a text within an hour letting know that my car was ready for pickup. I visited the cashier's window, signed paperwork (no charge) and was on my way in 5 minutes. All good. the service was - as always - excellent. i arrived and was immediately helped by joanna morgan, who made everything run smoothly. she is friendly, funny, and helpful. the servicing at this place is really easy. there's was no waiting when i arrived, and ms. morgan explained everything, including the options i had and how much everything would cost. after we settled that, she told me how long things would take (a little over two hours). i brought a book and waited in their waiting room, but there are plenty of places to go nearby. i live near downtown, but i always drive out to santa monica because the service is so good. you can make appointments online. i'm sure all the staff is competent, but I always select joanna morgan. she really knows what she's doing and is really helpful.

I usually go to a Toyota dealer close to my house, but I had to take my car in while I was at work. I am so happy that I visited SANTA MONICA TOYOTA and was taken care of by Jorge Galica. He immediately took care of me as soon as I drove on the lot. He was super friendly and courteous and knowledgeable about what my car needed AND didn't need! He fixed my windshield wiper problem himself (at no charge!). I will absolutely go back because I value good customer service as much as I value my Toyota Prius.

My previous visit to Toyota was less than satisfactory. When I came back for service on my Prius, I explained to Eddie Sandoval my previous experience and he made everything right! He took time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Got my car ready around the time that was promised and kept in touch with me regarding the status of my vehicle. I think that the sole purpose of me having a bad experience previously, was so that I could have an outstanding experience with Eddie. The customer service he provided more than made up for my last visit. I will be bringing my car to Eddie Sandoval from here on out!

When I entered the Toyota Dealership I first just wanted to drive a Prius. Ray Ramirez took me for a test drive and showed the the important features of the car. There was no pressure and I enjoyed the drive and said I'd come back when I was ready to make a purchase. I returned the next day. I was really just looking for more specific information about the car, the price, my trade-in values, but Ray worked with me to get the car I wanted with the options that were important to me for the price I could afford. I bought the car sooner than I expected which was actually a good thing...I could begin to get the value I wanted immediately with my new car! I already love my Prius and I would recommend this dealership and Ray Ramirez to my friends and family.

If I could I would give this dealership 10+ stars, they were truly a blessing when I needed a new car. I was so disappointed with my experience at my local dealership that I was beyond frustrated with my current car. My husband and I worked with Mark Ashtini and told him what we were looking for and what I really wanted, but that I was open to any other suggestions. Mark was prepared and showed us the Toyota Prius family, which was truly what I wanted since I commute 5 days from Palmdale to Santa Monica. I took the car for a test drive and was immediately in love with it. I loved the fact that Mark was there for my best interest and that he was not pushy. He said take some time think about maybe a few days to see if this car was to perfect fit. I knew right away that I wanted the car so we ran some number and sign some documents and I was out the door with my 2014 Toyota Prius. Mark is truly remarkable when it comes to customer services and building a relationship with the customer. Please if you are shopping around for a car go to Toyota of Santa Monica and look for Mark Ashtini. I promise that he will take care of you and listen to what you are looking for and try his very best to get you into your dream car. THANK YOU!!

I took my Prius in on 2/14/13 and loved the service given to me by Martin Ramos! I hadn't had a problems (that I knew about), but was taking it in because I'd received a recall letter. They took care of that very quickly, but also told me about a leaky water pump - Martin had checked my warranty, and it was covered under the extended warranty. They fixed me up with a loaner car for the day, and had the pump changed by mid-afternoon! Loved it!

Juan was super helpful, explained things clearly and was efficient. The only downside was I initially scheduled an appt online for a late afternoon, thinking this appt availability meant it would get worked on that day. However, when I showed up I was told I could simply drop it off overnight and they would look at it in the morning. I ended up driving my car home and just waiting to bring it back the next day as I could not be without my car overnight. If this was initially explained when requesting an appt time, it wouldve saved me time and the drive over (Twice).

Yesvin Castaneda was an excellent assistant service manager. i had to have my car towed to the dealership as the alarm lights were going on, and I was really worried about what might be wrong. Yesvin got right to my car, and back to me with a long and expensive list of things that had to be done. He went over what had to be done, and what could be delayed. I was reluctant to invest that much in a ten year old car, but he assured me that I would be driving this car, and saving the cost of a new car for a long time. I was able to get a rental car and pick up my car after the weekend. It was all smooth sailing.

I visited Toyota Scion Santa Monica on a Tuesday evening very much by happenstance. I was looking for a special BMW that I had in my mind s eye. I tried Santa Monica BMW and the Santa Monica Audi dealers and nothing! The BMW dealer suggested the Toyota dealer. I really didn t think I would find anything, but much to my surprise there was a black BMW 535i with my name on it. It was waving to me whispering come get me! Long story short I met Justin Underwood a Brand Specialist inside the sales office. He said that if I liked the car I should go ahead and get. I said yea why not. Justin got to work on the loan doc s and two days later I was driving away in my new BMW! I just got a NEW Prius Plug in from Toyota Santa Monica and I love it! My first lease term was ending soon and I was considering walking away from Toyota Santa Monica until I met Justin Underwood (salesman). He was super kind and patient ( I changed my mind a lot) and most importantly got me into a car that I am very proud of and really enjoy. Justin's customer service was outstanding, he had great follow-through, was available when I needed to speak with him and never had a pushy energy. Sam Mull is really helpful when I first drive in Toyota Santa Monica with an engine issue. He helped me contact the corporate mechanics and diagnosed the problem. While my car is being repaired, he help facilitate the process of car rental thru Toyota-rent-a-car. In the following visit, he answered my every concern and told me to drive in whenever the issue comes up again. It is good to know that there is someone who will take care of my car when needed. I had a great experience this week. Erica in service, was friendly, through, had me done in 4 hours, and I came back for a mirror on order when they called..... brought it in, and it was ready in 2.5 hours. Almost unheard of !!!! The drivers, a new young man with a family from the South Bay, sorry I'm bad with names , was polite, he is great asset to your team!!!! All I can say is keep it up guys!!!! Usually, I hate taking my car to get serviced because it can be such a pain but
Mark Lewis at Toyota in Santa Monica was really helpful. I would say the the service was excellent and I am extremely satisfied with the way Mark handled the service. It was fast, polite and they gave me a shuttle ride home with no hassle. I will always be bringing my Prius to the Santa MonicaToyota centre. Thanks guys!

I have been going to Toyota in Santa Monica for the past two years and Mark Lewis is my service advisor at that location. I am very satisfied with Mark's service.

Few days ago, I took my car in for service. Mark took care of my car and made sure that I had a ride home since they had to spend more than 4 hours working on my car. Mark kept me updated when the service required more time. He also had someone to pick me up when my car is ready.

Mark and the service team members at that location are amazing! They are professional and helpful.

Service is quick and easy. I am never there longer than a couple hours. Plus my service technician Joanna is the best. I drive all the way from Downtown Los Angeles to go to this specific location. I highly recommend Toyota of Santa Monica.

I recently took my vehicle in for service at Toyota Santa Monica. It was my first visit there and Cesar Torres was very helpful. I appreciated the fact that he sent me a text with a link to view the status of my service and that I could text him with questions. Cesar's service gets 5 stars. The overall experience was diminished, however, because of the facts below.

I was a bit disappointed with picking up my vehicle. Upon being notified my car was ready to go, I met with the cashier and confirmed no payment was due. I was told then that my car would be pulled around. I waited outside for 10 minutes and the car never came out. I went back in and asked about the status and was told it would be right out. I went back outside and waited another 5 minutes. I was then approached by someone who appeared to be a manager and he asked if everything was alright. I told him about waiting for my car and he went inside. Within 2 minutes he was out with my car and said "he didn't know what happened." The wait was not a good first impression.
