Easy and friendly company to work with. Customer service is great and the moving employees were really quick. They came on time and cleaned up once they were finished. Most companies leave a big mess! I would recommend this company to anyone who hates moving!

I am a local REALTOR and have referred all my clients to Town & Country Movers. My clients could not be more pleased with their experience. Moving can be stressful and the people I refer to my clients are extensions of me and there is no one I trust more with handling my clients move than Town & Country!

So while driving on 95 North just into Virginia before exit 26 we were run off the road by one of your carless drivers. The driver never checked up he just came over into our lane causing us to pull into the median. We reported the truck to the company. We will see of we get a return phone call. Close close call.

Professional and reliable moving company. I moved out of state and was very nervous about my things getting there on time, but I had nothing to worry about because the staff is awesome - from the consultants who helped me set it up to the guys who arrived onsite. They communicated with me every step of the way, showed up on time, and were fast yet efficient. I would use them again in heartbeat!

DO NOT use this company. I have an extensive wood shop where each piece of equipment has got to be handled with care. Not only did Town and Country break equipment and furniture, major parts of equipment such as a $400.00 rip fence for my table saw is gone. My drill press handles are broken off and they some how managed to break the blade on my bandsaw They made the claim that they had experience in moving wood shops, they do not. Town and Country ruined several major hand carved pieces of furniture that included a large entertainment center and hand carved tables, I think what ticks me off the most if that id that they don't say anything when these damages occur and in my case you don't discover it until well after the move, avoid this company at ALL cost.

We were thrilled with T&C movers! They were very professional, efficient, courteous, careful and clean. And at a great price. T&C really worked with us, helping us move. They packed our flat-screen and everything arrived undamaged and on-time (even loading in a snowstorm)! We highly recommend T&C and would use them again. They also moved our car, but price was double what a car mover would charge, but we need the car to show up with the furniture. T&C were great!

Town and Country moved me into a historic house in Alexandria, VA. The movers expertly navigated an extremely tight stairwell with a turn, moved through unusual tight spaces, and hoisted a few large items up a ladder to go through a second-floor window. Our belongings are completely undamaged and so are the walls, floors and paint. We received very high quality service from their excellent team including the estimator, foreman and crew. They are highly recommended.

Great company to guide you through a very stressful time. All touchpoints throughout the process were easy to navigate. The staff were COVID Safe, Courteous and Professional. Movers arrived EARLY and were crazy fast. This whole process was so easy & AFFORDABLE.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Town & Country Movers is the worst combination of ...

Town & Country Movers is the worst combination of incompetent, dishonest and expensive. We hired them for a cross country move after being assured that they did not use subcontractors (NOT TRUE), and were very experienced in handling antiques (NOT TRUE).

Dishonest: 1) We were told that all movers and drivers were hired directly by Town and Country, but at least 3 people involved with our move were subcontractors. 2) We signed up and paid for additional insurance, but when we filed a claim, we were told we did not have insurance as all.

Incompetent: We paid extra money to have antique paintings and furniture special packaged. However, these items were not packaged with other than come paper wrapped around, and were damaged during the move. FOUR other pieces of furniture was also damaged. A porcelain statue arrived in 100+ pieces. One piece of furniture went missing for 6 weeks - and Town and Country put minimal effort into locating it, and it took numerous calls to them to get it back.

Expensive: Town and Country was by far the highest priced movers. In addition we have ended up paying thousand of dollars to replace and repair damaged furniture.

It was a great experience! The estimators were prompt and very friendly and the movers/driver were hard working. My only concern was that the move was estimated to be 3.5 hours and it actually took 8.

I was very pleased with Town & Country. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and responsive, from Doug (who provided an estimate and coordinated our move), to Freddie and his crew (who packed and moved our belongings). Not a single item was lost or broken, and they moved so quickly that our actual cost was lower than the estimate. I would use Town & Country again, and I highly recommend them!

Town and Country does a wonderful job! My family has used them for years in the DC area so it was a no brainer to have them help me on multiple cross country moves. Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. The driver did a great job communicating with me along his route. Definitely recommend!

Our moving team arrived promptly despite some wintery weather outside and worked gently but efficiently moving us from apartment to apartment. On the front end, they brought supplies both to sturdy our pre-packed boxes for the move and to pack up smaller knick knacks that hadn't made it into boxes by moving day. Once we were unloading into the new apartment, they were helpful with suggestions of where to arrange particular furniture pieces for the best layout and space efficiency in the new rooms. Overall they were friendly and worked quickly, and we ended the day without any damaged or missing items. They'll be our first call for our next move!

I've used Town & Country Movers for all of my moves throughout DC. I cannot say enough good things about them. The staff is friendly, the team is punctual and professional, and everything moved like clockwork. I'd still be packing up my old apartment if it weren't for the great work of their team. Instead, I'm already moved in and unpacked in my new home! Thanks, again, for everything!

Rene and his crew arrived exactly on schedule in PA for pickup and again in MD for drop-off. T&C also made two extra scheduled stops to drop off furniture at my house and my sister's house as part of the same move. They gently handled several pieces of antique furniture. They were professional on all tasks and were a pleasure to work with. I got quotes from three firms and was happy that I chose T&C to move my elderly parents from PA to MD.

Rene Ruiz and his crew were beyond superb. Efficient, careful, quick, courteous, they did everything they said they would, when they said they would. I never leave reviews, but in this case I can't not.

I used them for a DC to Philadelphia move. Moving that far was stressful for us but they made it easier. They told us what they needed and when. Delivered boxes and we moved our drawers with our clothes in them. They took apart and put together our furniture. We unpacked while they did the big stuff. Easiest decision we made.

As you all know, moving can be incredibly stressful.

First off, my boyfriend and I were completely packed up by the time the movers got to the apartment, we don't have all that much stuff, but we lived at a third floor walk up and didn't want to move heavy furniture down the cement flights of stairs, so we had a very simple, but labor intensive, moving process needed. The quote we originally got from our sales rep (James) was very clear and he asked us about any additionals we may need (mattress bag, TV box, etc.) and was explicit on the pricing for those, so going into this move we had a concise understanding of what the end price could and did look like. I was slow on getting paperwork back to them and they had absolutely no issue with it and were very accommodating.

For the move, Roberto and his two other moving guys (William and Gilberto???) were extremely quick and gentle with our furniture. They wrapped everything up very nicely, took apart and put together our bed frame and couch, and were prepared to help us pack if it was needed. They were very thorough and made sure we had all of our stuff before leaving, and were extremely professional and nice during the whole process!

Overall it was an extremely pleasant experience, and they made the stress and wariness of moving, especially since this was our first time using a moving company, very worry-free. I honestly felt bad just sitting there watching, but they were so efficient I would've been in the way if I tried helping!

I definitely trust this team to move me again in the future!

We used Town and Country for an interstate move. it was complex in that we were moving out of a three story townhouse and into both a temporary rental and a storage facility while our new home is built. From the initial conversations with a move coordinator through the careful packing of a 10' x 20' storage unit and separate unload at our temporary rental, the entire move was handled in a both professional and friendly manner. Perhaps the best way to convey our level of satisfaction is to note that we will use T&C again for the local move into the new home later this year.

It was a great experience from start to finish! Javier and his men were such a smoothly functioning team that I thought they'd been working together for years! They not only took great care of all my things but they were also very careful of walls and floors in both living spaces. They solved every challenge, and even offered excellent suggestions for furniture placement in my new home. I was functioning on less than 2 hours of sleep and it was a totally stress-free move. I will gladly recommend Town and Country!

We moved back in May from Arlington VA to Williamsburg VA, unfortunately we're behind in our e-mails . The best part of #17 move for us was going with Town & Country Movers, Rene and his men were the BEST we have ever experienced in 50 years of moving. We had NOTHING damaged, a first for us. Jason Bass the coordinator also did an excellent job. We hope you realize what great employees you have working for you. If we ever move again or friends need a recommendation, you can be sure your company and crew are at the top of our list. We only wish the rest of our move went as smoothly.

I would not recommend this company - I contacted them on the day of my move because the company that I had scheduled did not show. I asked up front if there were any charges that were not listed on the estimate that they had emailed to me.
I appreciated that they were able to move me the same day. My complaints are the drivers took 2 hours to make a 1 hours drive then they tried to charge me an additional 85 for travel that my estimate said was included. The owner (I think his name was Avi) tried to strong arm me in to paying the extra amount even when the person giving the quote admitted that she had told me it was included. I had to pay before they would unload the truck based on the time they estimated. We finished 30 minutes early and the driver would not provide me with a refund - In fact he almost ran out of my house when I asked him for one. All in all they charged me an additional 170 that I should not have paid -the extra hour to get to my house, 30 minutes they sat around while I debated the overcharges and overestimate on the unloading time. This company is shady - don't use them.

From the beginning, Jason was great to work with, prompt and professional. He and his crew accommodated our specific needs and helped to make this a very pleasant and easy experience. Thank you so much, I will definitely call you in the future and recommend to all of our friends!

Dear Rene and T+C Team,

Dear Rene and T+C Team,
Just a note of appreciation and gratitude.
We had begun packing when Rene and his packing team showed up, but quite frankly, I had wildly underestimated how much stuff we had and how long it would take to pack it. That's on me, but frankly, I was stressed out by the circumstances of having to move in the first place...
and Rene and his team could not have been more professional. They were cool and collected, and they got it all done like the pros that they are.
Same on the drop-off -- Rene and his other driver were a day early (awesome) and they were as kind, courteous, and efficient as they were the week before when we first met. You cannot fluster this guy, it's incredible. What a a huge blessing, and such a relief to have him there when we really needed him. Town and Country will only get the best recommendation from us. Please let Rene and his team know how grateful we are and also huge thanks to all of you!

Thank you!

Best moving team I have ever had... I used town and country 2 moves ago and switched last move due to sisters recommendation. Very big mistake. I was moved yesterday by town and country and they were so efficient and careful. They didn't want me to move anything and it was a fixed price estimate so they didn't need to hurry. Great amazing I hope I never move again but if I do it will be with Town and Country

Town & Country Movers did a phenomenal job with my move from Orlando, FL to Washington, DC. They handled all of my belongings with care and were fast and efficient both in moving me out of my old apartment and into the new one. Working with them was a breeze - cannot recommend them enough!

I just recently use this company for my move base on great reviews and recommendations I chose to go with them.
Prior of my move I receive a call from manager telling me that they need to fit another person in my schedule. I told them I don t mind if my move will not be rushed and done property.
Movers arrived on time . I ask for extra protection for my furniture to make sure nothing will get damaged. Movers was working very slowly . I was packing my clothes in boxes that they provided. Within 15 min of arrival I received the call that elevators was schedule at 9 am in the building I was moving. I had to explain them that this is mistake and they just arrived and we can t be there at the same time to unload.
I was moving from 1 bedroom to 1 bedroom that supposed to take 4 hours.
Movers told me that they will get lunch on the way on my time . They were doing everything very slow trying to charge me more hours.
In the end I was charged for 8 hours of work including they lunch . And most of my furniture got damaged . I try to reach out to management to discuss the charges that I don t agree with . For more than 3 weeks nobody respond to me .
I don t recommend anyone to use that company. .

Update 8/1/2019:
Town & Country recently completed another move for me and my family. My sentiment still holds true even after 10+ years having used this company 3 times now. I ve chosen these folks over and over again in a very competitive industry. Trust is what matters most to me and they continue to deliver great moves. Thank you again!

Town & Country has completed two moves for me over the past 4 years with the last one being a large 8 hour move. The house we were moving from wasn't the easiest to navigate (4 floors) and the crew did a fantastic job. They arrived on-time, were extremely polite and everything was done in a seamless fashion. From the person who did the initial estimate to their customer service line to the actual movers these guys are professionals. Can't recommend them enough!

Good service. Great guys. Moved quickly. Wrapped furniture for us. Finished closing boxes for us. Only one item broke and we didn't get the insurance but they paid more than their share to make it right. They laid plastic on the carpets so they wouldn't track dirt in. Friendly guys. Took apart bed and bookshelves and put back together. Would highly recommend. Great job!

Used Town and Country for a multi-phase move over 5 months. They are awesome! Sarah and Erin were amazingly helpful - I was able to modify and make changes to the plan throughout...and the price was very reasonable. The actual movers were fast, efficient, and super-helpful. I could not recommend highly enough.

My sales rep Jason was so informative and knowledgeable of the entire process. He knew what he was talking about and was the easiest to talk to in terms of "sales people". He wasn't nasty and pushy. Made me feel like a friend.

On time, professional team came in. They were helpful, knowledgeable and very careful. I appreciate that Town and Country helped us get moved on short notice! Highly recommend working with Ryan Bass and Kate Houggan! They got us moved in to our new home, on time, nothing damaged or lost. Thank you!

What an amazingly painless move. I moved from an apartment in Aspen Hill to a townhouse in Montgomery Village in November 2017, and Town & Country Movers was outstanding. Their office staff was incredibly responsive when I was still shopping around, and the employee that they sent over to give me a detailed estimate was very helpful in explaining all of my options to get the best final rate for a pack and move. Biggest surprise for me was learning that adding a fourth guy to the move crew cost less in the end than having three guys.

On the day of the move, the guys came to the apartment at the appointed time, and packed everything up and loaded it into the truck in the span of about three hours. Then after a lunch break, it took about two hours to unload in the new place. The guys were incredibly professional and helpful, and made sure that everything was perfect before leaving.

10/10 would recommend to others.

We've used them twice for moving; from our apt. to our townhouse and from our townhouse to our current split level. The first time we packed ourselves and the second they packed everything for us. Our twins were one and our oldest was all of 2 and a half but thanks to Town & Country the move was the smoothest of any of my moves, including when I was single. They're extremely reasonable, both in pricing and practice.

Words can not describe how pleased I am with this company. They were right on time, reliable, and extremely hard working. Martin, Carlos, and Eric helped me during my move from GA to MD and were fantastic. This company is worth every penny.

We hired this company based on their excellent rev...

We hired this company based on their excellent reviews for an interstate move from Virginia to Massachusetts in July. We had a horrendous experience with them that continues to haunt us to this day. When they came to do an initial assessment, the representative guaranteed us that our belongings would be put on a "straight truck", meaning they would not be touched or removed any time between loading in Virginia and unloading in Massachusetts. Additionally, we purchased the company's full replacement value coverage policy to ensure that our belongings were safe with a $250 deductible. When our belongings arrived in Massachusetts several days later on a different (much larger) truck, we learned they'd been moved to a bigger truck with someone else's belongings and that the other person's stuff had been unloaded first, so everything that belonged to us had basically been crushed when the load inside shifted. The moving team foreman himself apologized for the shoddy work. Our boxes were all crushed and our furniture was scratched and destroyed. We were already stressed due to having a 5 month old child in tow and having to find a new place to live within 48 hours of arriving in Massachusetts when our lease fell through. Additionally we were concerned about having to have our goods delivered to a storage unit until our new home was ready to move into because we knew that it would be difficult to identify damage. The unloading experience was also extremely stressful. The team unloading was moving as fast as they possibly could, making it very difficult to keep up with checking for damage and confirming all of our boxes were received. We immediately reached out to the customer service people by phone at the company and were assured that they would make it right and that we just needed to submit a claim form and had up to 9 months to do so, so we could take our time and evaluate and note all the damage once we were unpacked. We expressed from the beginning of the claims process our concern about not being able to evaluate the damage until we moved out of the storage unit and into the new home. We were assured (verbally) by their lead claims analyst that they would waive our damage deductible and would have plenty of time to document all of the damage. We returned the claim form within a month to the tune of $1600 worth of damage. Originally the company agreed to pay this amount to make it right and gave us a settlement offer in writing, however they then attempted to withdraw the offer, claiming that because they delivered to a storage unit we couldn't prove that they in fact did the damage and had no recollection of the verbal assurances to review the damage once the items were out of storage. Unfortunately, we spent more on them than some of the other moving company quotes we received because of the previous good reviews.

Update: After a lengthy conversation with the company's president in which we again had to explain the entire situation and argue our case, the president finally agreed to uphold the written settlement offer that the company had previously sent us. He also said that we did not receive the straight truck was promised by the sales consultant during our consultation due to "carrier convenience" (to save the company money so that it could send one truck north instead of two). The impression this statement gave us was that cost was valued more highly than their company's word/verbal contract. Furthermore, while he told us that it's "always unfortunate when a customer has a bad experience", what was notably missing from the entire conversation was an actual apology for the damage and stress that his company caused. A simple apology would have gone a long way towards restoring my opinion of this company. Although we did receive money to replace our damaged items in the end, the amount of arguing and aggravation required to get it, in addition to the amount of heartache caused by the moving problems/damage initially, make me unable to recommend this company to anyone else.

Definitely the worst and not responsible

Definitely the worst and not responsible
NOT RECOMMENDED.
We moved less than a month ago. We hired this company to move our furniture and bigger items. They BROKE OUR NEW TELEVISION. Our TV was less than two years old. They did not take any responsibility for their damages.

I could not have imagined a better moving experience. There is no way to make moving not stressful, but these people get really close. Working with Jason for my long distance move was a great experience. He was very responsive to all my questions and was able to give me a reasonable quote. The actual movers were also amazing, took a detailed inventory and made sure I always knew what was happening with my stuff. They also take credit cards, which was quite different (and much more convenient) than my last moving experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Town & Country Movers were professional, efficient, courteous, and an all around fantastic moving company. They helped me move out of my apartment last weekend (8/11/18) and without them I would not have been able to get everything done. The movers they sent were experts on taking apart furniture and putting it back together in my new apartment the exact way it was before they took it apart. The movers were speedy and finished moving all of my belongings in record time. I recommend Town & Country over any other moving service in the DMV area!

Over the past 7 years, Town and Country has moved me three times in the DMV area. Each and every time, their service has been stellar. I have always felt like I was in great hands and so very much appreciate the care their crew has given to my belongings (including an antique piano!). I can't recommend them highly enough.

This was my third move with Town & Country Movers! On 12/28/17,
I moved from my late father's 3BR, 3 story single family home in Silver Spring, MD into a 25th floor 1 BR apt. in Alexandria, VA. The move was flawless, nothing damaged or broken. All items arrived safe, sound, and in good condition. Also, the wind chill was in the teens that day and the team never missed a beat, never complained, just kept on working! Many thanks to Ruben (Foreman), Juan Carlos, and Efrain for their professionalism, expertise, and friendliness. Special thanks to Mark Goldsborough, manager and scheduler extraordinaire, for graciously accommodating my last minute request on the day of the move to take most everything in the house instead of the few treasured furnishings I had previously mentioned on my invoice. There is truly no other moving company in the MD/VA/DC area that I would consider than Town & Country Movers. The best of the best! Way to go, Mark and team, for always exceeding your previous best effort!

I highly recommend the Town & Country Movers team!...

I highly recommend the Town & Country Movers team! I have enjoyed working with Chris and Ryan for the events, sponsorships and more that we have been able to collaborate on! This company is incredibly organized, efficient and personable.

I used Town & Country to move to Atlanta from Arlington in August. After a career in the military and growing up as a military brat I have a lot of experience with movers. This experience was by far the best. All the people associated with Town & Country were incredibly professional. My property was handled with care and respect. Their estimate was a little higher than a few other well considered competitors, but frankly their professionalism from start to finish was MUCH higher than any other firm I interviewed. I would not hesitate to recommend Town & Country to anyone. They are a great team.

Absolutely apalling. My in-laws were moved from Bay Village Ohio today. A seven hour move to Maryland. (12/21/2016)
First off, they were contracted to be there at 10am. Cancelled. Moved to 2pm because of a prior move. Five minutes till 2pm, called to say it would be 330pm. Three-fourty I called the two phone numbers I was given. No answer. Perfect. At 4pm they arrived. They show up with 2 people. The other guys are on their way. The other 2 guys show up in another van an hour later.
Its 545pm and nothing is done.
Without a doubt, the biggest joke ever played on my elderly in laws. Town and Country has your money. They care less about customer service. What a bunch of bone heads! !!!

It's been quite busy so I had my Au Pair help me l...

It's been quite busy so I had my Au Pair help me let the "quoter/estimator" in - his name is Eric Aldinger. He called me twice to confirm our appointment and left voicemails during those two times. I didn't get a chance to call him back but I knew our appointment is today to have him "visualize" our place with our stuff to get the best estimate for a moving quote. Cool! How exciting!

We currently live on a 3rd floor apartment temporarily while we wait for our new house to be built.

According to my Au Pair this guy arrived at 10:26am. My Au Pair saw a "home" sign on his shirt and she speculated this may be the "estimator" that was suppose to come and evaluate our belongings. Not bad! His arrival was right in the middle of our scheduled appointment.

Au Pair met him on the 1st floor and said hello and tried to make a small conversation with him. He told her, "it's not nice for you to ask questions like that (he was pertaining to her asking him whether or not he lived in the same apartment complex - because she's never seen him here before).

Next, on the way up to our 3rd floor apartment... my Au Pair was lugging a bunch of groceries at this time and this man walked very slowly to the 3rd floor, hogged the entire space and did not allow her to pass so she can get moving and put the groceries down. He acted as if it was almost intentional.

Once Eric arrived at our doorstep, my Au Pair told him, "I knew you were going to come to our door." Then, he felt obligated to assist her. (Funny, some men are useless like this guy!). My au pair refused his help, for what? They're already at the door step.

Secondly in our apartment, my Au Pair asked Eric to take off his shoes (as I instructed her to tell anyone who comes in - I don't like bringing shoes past the foyer). He almost refused, but he removed his shoes. ---- C'mon! Eric, you are losing customer service points here.

While in the apartment, my Au Pair was showing him around and told Eric that "us", the owners want him to see everything so he can give the best estimate... after that statement, he immediately told her, "I didn't think you could afford to live here." Sheesh, man! Be kind! My Au Pair is our extended family. Please note that!

Overall, I will not use Town and Country's services for moving. If the "estimator" is rude and disrespectful, I expect the same attitude from the movers and the company as a whole. It seems like they're a big company and good customer service does not matter to them.

Talked to the operator, Kathleen who was incredibly condescending and somewhat rude. I heard great things about this company and I am sad to say my husband and I went with another moving company.

Just a short note to tell you HOW PLEASED WE ARE WITH THE SERVICE TOWN AND COUNTRY PROVIDED for our move to Florida!!! Everything went perfectly! Paul, who was our "job boss" was great! In charge, professional, no nonsense and NICE! ON TIME both times! The folks he hired locally were also fabulous. AND, the true cost of the move came in UNDER your estimate! Our move team arrived on time, and loaded the truck carefully but very quickly. Once at our new home, they moved our belongings up to our apartment quickly, laid down rugs, placed furniture, and did it all in a couple of hours! Jose and his moving team were pleasant and careful with our stuff -- couldn't ask for more, or recommend them highly enough. Thanks to Blair Parlor, Eduardo the dispatcher, and Jose our moving foreman for excellent service on our moving day.

I was absolutely blown away by how efficient, knowledgeable, helpful, professional, creative, and skilled Rene Ruiz and his crew were. They even had to help me dig out and salt a walk that my HOA failed to salt. Beyond that, they were able to disassemble/reassemble my furniture very expertly and quickly. They made the move feel relaxed and pleasant, and I will be recommending Town and Country to all of my friends and family!

Top notch from the in-house estimate in Maryland to the delivery of my furnishings in Florida. I had them pack my items and everything was carefully packed resulting in zero damage. Delivery was within the time window of a few days that they gave me (another "highly rated" company gave me a two-week range!) . They were also very responsive to all my inquiries. This is an entirely unsolicited review and I highly recommend Town and Country Movers.

This is the second time we used Town & Country Movers and they were great both times. In addition to being friendly and courteous, the movers made an extra effort to coordinate with the junk haulers, who were early and disrupted their preferred order of moving. When they arrived at our destination, in addition to setting everything up, they even helped us set up a new TV that was brand new and still in the box, clearly not part of their contract.

I have had the opportunity not only to move personally and professionally, but also have referred Town & Country to my sister for a cross country move. They are incredibly professional and complete their work better than advertised. They over delivered on service and were very affordable. I would never use another mover and I am thankful I was connected to them.

I have used Town & Country now multiple times to move from place to place and the team always shows up when they are scheduled to. They are extremely quick and efficient and the moves have always gone smoothly. Everything always arrives in the same condition as when it leaves me! I would recommend them for your next move 100%!

Thank you Town & Country!

My realtor recommended this company and they did a fantastic job. Before my move coordinators from the company were responsive to emails and confirmed my move a few days ahead. The moving crew put in a long day but made sure I had everything in place where I wanted it before they left. They drove about 3 hours away to pick up all of my things, which included many fragile items, drove back to NOVA in traffic, unloaded everything in my new place, and got it all into place with NO damage. They made my move-in day SO easy for me.

I was thoroughly impressed by our movers' efficiency, professionalism, and spot-on execution! They arrived on time, brought all of the necessary tools/gear, and completed the job very quickly! I would not hesitate to use Town & Country again for any moving needs that may arise in the future!

Amazing team, the movers were fantastic. Fast and efficient while maintaining safety and taking care of all of our items. Their hustle was very impressive and had them finish under both time and money from our original quote. I wish we had a little bit more information up front about move day vs writing questions back and forth...but the day of the move went so incredibly smooth that I have no complaints. Phenomenal!

I used Town and Country Movers twice. Both times they were extremely polite, pleasant, thorough, careful, and follow direction very well. I have used several other moves before such as Craiglist and movers recommended by U-Haul and they were clearly amateurs. Town and Country Movers are clearly pros when it comes to moving. If you would like a stress free and pleasant experience I would highly recommend Town and Country.

Great moving experience from the estimate to the drop off. These guys are pros. I recommend taking advantage of their packing services for fragile items in your kitchen. The professional packers take the stress out of the move by making sure nothing breaks. Movers were great guys and were very careful. Our move even was completed faster than estimated. Another great service they offer is free used boxes. Definitely recommend town and country.

I've used Town & Country Movers now twice; the first time a few years back to move me within Maryland, and most recently to move me from MD to Raleigh, NC, and both times I've been thoroughly impressed with their professionalism, courtesy and respect for my furniture and belongings! They were simply incredible, and I'd heartily recommend them for any moving needs! They have a staff of friendly, hard working and dependable people!

I cannot say enough great things about my moving experience. In the past 7 years, I have moved 6 times and this last one using Town and Country Movers was without-a-doubt the best and smoothest its ever been. The guys showed up exactly on time, worked very efficiently and even unpacked items in their right places. I was blown away. I was contacted several times beforehand to plan out the move, and Joaquin texted me the night before and the morning of so I knew exactly when to expect him. Thank you, T&C!!! And see you next time :)

Very professional and efficient. The team of 5 ladies show up and packed everything, fast but with care.
The next day the moving crew (Walter, Secar, Wilman, Carlos and Jr) disassembled everything and loaded up 2 trucks, unloaded and reassembled all in one day. These guys did not take a break, they worked like it was their own home. By the way we had a thunderstorm in the middle of unloading and somehow they managed not to get anything wet and keep our new home clean.
The team moved furniture and art work from a 9000 square foot home in one day. Wow.

Town and Country took great care in packing and mo...

Town and Country took great care in packing and moving our furniture and other items between Maryland and Massachusetts. Ahead of our pre-sale home renovations in Maryland including the re-surfacing of the hardwood floors, they had removed items to their storage facility and had done two internal moves. All went very well. I found the packers and movers to be extremely hard-working and quite conscientious in protecting items. They were meticulous in logging items and creating an inventory. The movers were friendly, efficient and exercised care on the Maryland side. On the Massachusetts side, the team was hard-working but a little understaffed they most certainly needed another mover on the team, and I was actually concerned for the team s safety as they were moving heavy furniture upstairs and struggling at times. All this would have earned a 5-star review and my full endorsement, if not my disappointment in the way the Management handled a claim.

After the 18-wheeler departed my Massachusetts home, I was alarmed to find a 3 or 4 foot deep dip at the end of the driveway by the street the dip was the full width of the driveway. Clearly, a gully had been created by the weight of the tractor trailer. It was like an inverse speed-bump which created a receptacle for water (and as I would discover later in the the fall ice) and caused cars entering or exiting our property to jarringly dip down and then up. I immediately pointed out the issue the next day after the move and sought an estimate for repair from a well-respected, local asphalt paving company (the Town contracts for services so a very reputable company). When I presented Town & Country Management with the estimate, they challenged the driveway damage, saying that the ground was soft to begin with and I had agreed to allow their truck over it. (They had earlier proposed an expensive and unrealistic solution of shuttling items from the street all the way to the house the driveway is the length of a football field).

In several conversations over a week or two period, Town & Country Management would call me on speakerphone with four or five individuals on the line, all challenging my claim. In one call, I heard from the driver, the claims person, two managers, and an executive all telling me that I was wrong. I felt that I was being ganged up on and I was unfairly on the defensive. I certainly did not feel like a customer. They even called my proposed asphalt vendor and queried him on the quality of the ground in an attempt to bolster the Town & Country claim that I had a pre-existing condition. (By the way, the 18-wheeler also included the contents of another customer after unloading, the truck had departed my home for N.H. so my driveway was not only bearing the weight of my moving contents but another customer s stuff).

After several calls with Management and disgust at the process, I was offered and received only half payment for the driveway damage not enough to fix the problem. It s a shame my experience with the friendly, hard-working line employees was overshadowed by Management. Every day, when I pull in and out of my driveway, I think about this experience. All they needed to do was fully pay for the damage which their tractor trailer truck created. Someone had told me that you really find out how good your moving company is at the claim stage because something invariably happens. I should have listened.

I hired Town and Country to move my heaviest furniture. The team was excellent. They were professional, courteous, arrived on time and treated my furniture with the utmost of care. They also offered to move a few boxes that were not on the original estimate free of charge. I would absolutely recommend Town and Country.

These movers are the worst I have ever dealt with. They broke, scratched or lost a significant amount of my stuff and have done nothing to address. They don t return calls or address the issues. The employees were rude to us and not helpful. Stay far away from them. moving is stressful enough without dealing with this stuff from an unreliable company.

Great movers and storage company. Items were very professionally stored and moved. When it came for pick up time, the loaders agreed to let us keep our items wrapped so we could transport them back home and then return all the wrapping blankets. They also help us load up our U-Haul and we gave them a nice tip for such friendly service and assistance. I highly recommend Town & Country.
