Rene Ruiz and crew did a fantastic job moving us from Alexandria to Cleveland in late February. They were on time, easy to communicate with, took fantastic care of our things, and were pleasant to talk with. Definitely use them for packing your things as well. Easily the best moving experience we've ever had. Jason Bass also did a great job with our estimating and was able to accommodate a video tour of our house.

We researched and received bids from 3 different movers in Northern Virginia. We were happy with "The Team", and the multiple communications leading up to our move.
The moving crew was very nice, and took time to understand what we were moving before starting the move into trucks. They also did a great job at moving into the new house which we had just finished finishing the hardwood floors. Specifically making sure that furniture had felt pads and not sliding or pushing large boxes.
As a side note we performed the packing.
We had a great experience when we moved into our new home (this was actually my second time moving with T&C, and the first was also great, but a smaller move)! We moved our full apartment into a row house across town, and the guys doing our move were so speedy and professional. We were really concerned about packing up all of our kitchen items (we had gotten some lovely but very fragile stuff as wedding gifts), so the T&C team brought packing supplies and packed everything up for us, no problem. Despite the speed of the move (so efficient), everything arrived at our new home in tact. They even found a way to get our bulky furniture into the house (older homes in DC don't always have the biggest doorways and stairwells, so this was a feat!)! Highly recommend Town & Country!

My move was a 2 bedroom with packing so not the biggest job, but they were extremely helpful and nothing was lost/damaged.

Highly recommend Town and Country Movers. Because of a history of terrible moving companies my husband and I were dreading the move from Washington, DC to Easton, MD. But we were recommended to try Town and Country and boy we are happy to have found them. Rene Ruiz and his team did a superb job! They are true professionals that know the intricacies of moving delicate furniture, tables attached to glass tops, bulky coaches, etc. Rene knew which pieces to take apart and which to wrap in very ingenious ways to safeguard and transport. He also came up with very interesting and efficient solutions to the problems that we encounter when taking the furniture out/in. Moving bulk could be done by almost anyone with strength but Rene and his crew demonstrated to be really experienced, hard-working moving professionals. Thank you guys !

I contacted this company for a quote for my long distance move due to their positive ratings online, since then I have seen nothing but complete INCOMPETENCE. The initial quote I was given was 50% less than the total amount I was billed. My original location was in a historic area and I knew only a shuttle truck could fit down the small street so I requested and paid extra. However, the lazy and stubborn driver/ packer showed up with a semi-truck and had to park it blocks away. He wanted to carry my furniture down 4 blocks to his truck and expected that this would be fine with me even though I had already paid for the shuttle. My furniture would no doubt be damaged being hauled that distance. I had to fight with him for two hours and call the President of the company in order to get the smaller truck that I had been previously ordered.
After I moved, I discovered damage to my furniture and that personal documents with financial information "disappeared" in packing or transit. I reported the missing documents to the appropriate government agencies and since I had purchased their $250 insurance policy I expected to be reimbursed for my missing and damaged furniture, which actually was very minimal. I did not hear anything back from the company for over a month after I submitted my claim for damaged furniture. One day I was working and I received repeated phone calls from a mover who WAS AT MY HOME to "move some furniture out of my home". He stated he was unable to get into my building and he was demanding access to my home. I had not received any correspondence from Town and Country Movers regarding my damaged and missing goods claim and now they have shown up at my home, demanding to come and essentially break into my home and steal my belongings?!?! I cannot even imagine how they are in business. I never want to hear from this company again. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!

The movers were on time and took really good care of our belongings. They went the extra mile making sure our furniture was set up exactly how we wanted and were very considerate and hard-working. We used Town and Country Movers for a local move. Ryan Bass was very quick to call back for a pricing quote and came back cheaper than most others. Scheduling was very easy and everything could be done over email. The movers arrived on time and were very efficient getting everything wrapped up and loaded onto the truck. They all wore masks and kept them on the entire move, even while going up and down several flights of stairs. Everything arrived in the same condition as it left. Highly recommend!
We had a large move with a great deal of good furniture from Florida to Maryland and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the professional care that T&C took to make sure all of our items got to their destination in safe and sound condition. The entire process, from start to finish, was incredibly easy and the company is extremely thorough. We will have several more moves in the near future and I would not think to use any company other than T&C.

These guys are fabulous. We had our move planned for February 20. As the day approached, so did predictions of snow and sleet. Which we got. All morning. Town and Country showed up, even a few minutes early, and started loading our 120 boxes and all our furniture, Everything was protected from the weather, even though they had to carry everything about 50 feet through the weather because some construction at our condo building kept the truck from being able to back right up to the loading door. The four men were charming, careful, and quick. We had some fragile lamps and tables which they transported successfully. We had a very heavy Italian majolica table top, which they moved without damaging it or themselves. It is impossible for us to imagine a better move. No damage, terrible weather, came in a bit under estimate. These guys are great.
The team that moved our belongings to storage was efficient, courteous, hard working, honest and very professional. We were extremely pleased. This is a top notch moving company that has given us peace of mind and I would use them again in a heart beat. The cost was worth every penny.
I absolutely LOVE using Town & Country Movers! I have used them for every move that I have made and all of my belongings were brought to my new location without any damage. I have even used T&C to store some of the items when there was too much time in between my lease and and start dates. LOVE THIS COMPANY!!! We anticipated a stressful move. We re old people, set in our ways, and usually complain more than compliment. But this company took away the pain and stress (well not all but a lot) and were super easy to work with. We dealt with Cruz the most and he was so respectful and accommodating. Both in the old place and the new one. I can t say enough positive words about them. Moving is so hard. They were so supportive.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I was worried about my long distance move since I have a friend who made the same move a few months ago using another, less reputable moving company (Alliance Relocation Systems, in case you're wondering) and it took her a month to get her stuff and some of it was damaged or missing. I recently moved from Maryland to Florida and decided to use Town & Country Movers based on their reviews as well as their proximity to my house. Juan and his crew showed up at my house promptly at 9am Friday morning and loaded up my belongings into a semi in a little over two hours. This required them to carry everything down my driveway, which is quite steep. I was worried this would be an additional charge but there was none. I was expecting it to take them a week or so to get my stuff down to Florida but I was told they would be there on Sunday, two days later. To say that was a pleasant surprise is an understatement. Sure enough, I get a call from Juan on Saturday night confirming that they would be ready to unload at 10am on Sunday. I meet them Sunday morning at the storage unit where I'm keeping my stuff and Juan and his coworker are there right on time. It was nice to see my stuff in the hands of the same people and in the same truck that it was loaded onto. No subcontractors like so many movers use. I was concerned that they would have trouble getting the truck into the storage facility, which proved to be a valid concern. If you've ever been at a public storage facility, you know that there are rows of buildings. There wasn't sufficient space for Juan to maneuver the truck to the entrance of the building my storage unit was in so he ended up having to park the truck one row over from my building. Juan said that in situations like this, they normally have to get a smaller truck to "shuttle" everything over to where it needs to be off-loaded and this would cost an extra $500 plus the extra time to load and unload my stuff. I wasn't happy but understood and felt is was reasonable since they couldn't get the truck any closer than about 200 feet from my storage unit. However, after a few minutes of Juan talking with his coworker, they decided that they would use the carts provided by the storage company and literally walk everything from the truck to the storage unit, saving me lots of money and time. They were done in less than 2 hours and had stacked everything in the storage unit with room to spare. Juan even gave me a cold bottle of water as I stood outside in the Florida heat, holding the door open for them as they carried my stuff inside. Everyone I dealt with was fantastic and I would highly recommend using Town & Country Movers.
Everyone at Town & Country Movers was extremely helpful and flexible with our recent move. There was some uncertainty and timing issues around our move (unrelated to Town & Country) and Town & Country adapted to each issue saving us any additional headache or stress during the move. We were very impressed with what a great job Rene and his team did moving 14 years of accumulated furniture and 'stuff'. They were quick, efficient, but also very careful, and never hesitated to ask questions if we'd forgotten to mark where something belonged or if anything looked like it needed special treatment. We had a couple of pieces of furniture that didn't work properly before the move that somehow became miraculously functional again when the dust settled and we started unpacking, and I'm sure it was the handiwork of these very skilled people. They even gave us some tips on better furniture placement to help us make some big pieces fit into tight spaces in our new home. And not a single ding or scratch to anything! We would definitely use them again and highly recommend this company.

I moved from MD to MI and Town & Country made the process so much better. Everyone involved every step of the way was professional and on time. And they did not overcharge or pull any gimmicks. Everything was laid out clearly and carried out exactly as they promised. The entire experience with Town & Country, from beginning to end, was everything other movers have never been. From the quote process, to scheduling, to the actual move, every step was seamless and easy. We also had to store items for two nights waiting for our new home. The same crew did both moves, which was a smart decision by Town & Country; it created a sense of comfort for my family knowing who was handling our belongings, and it meant that they knew where many items should go in the new house. With two pre-school aged boys, three days without a house is tough. Town & Country made sure the actual move was anything but that. We highly recommend using Town & Country. We used T&C mover for our move within the same city. We had a virtual estimate done and we thought the price was quite high, so we asked what we could do to bring the price down. We have a lot of paintings and art so they told us that if we moved the paintings ourselves this should bring the price down by about 1000$. We spent 10 days prior to the move moving all the paintings, the small artwork as well as other items ourselves - we made several trips per day to try to move as much as possible ourselves. This however did not help - the final price was more than the estimated price by 20% (8,300$ for a 2 bedroom condo) - this was shocking for us. We could not understand how can this be possible. We felt cheated. Essentially, the final price is a big unknown.

We had to move during the holidays in order to accommodate our buyers and needed a specific delivery date so we weren't celebrating Christmas with our boxes . . . Town & Country were the only movers who would guarantee a date . . . in fact they were able to drop off furniture a day earlier (packed on Monday delivered on Tuesday to a destination over 400 miles) which made traveling out of town for us a lot easier . . . initially their fixed-price bid was higher but with their "Weigh Less" - "Pay Less" policy it turned out to be the lowest price . . . the crew worked efficiently and took great care not to damage furniture or walls or hardwood floors . . . my neighbor who moved over summer highly recommended them and now I can see why

I have dealt with a few moving companies in the past and they were by far the most pleasant to work with from beginning to end. In addition to moving, I also paid to have the household goods packed. The packers took their time to pack everything and loaded everything onto the truck carefully.My vehicle and the 6,000 lbs of household goods were all transported on one truck from CO to PA in 4 days. The unloading was just as smooth. They called me a few hours prior to arriving at the destination so that I could accept the delivery. I would do business with them in the future.
