Visited a friend staying at the hotel and the kids went swimming. The pool was heated, but a little too cold for the kids to enjoy (December). The pool area itself was very pretty, surrounded by waterfalls and greenery. Towels were well stocked.

Everything was ready on time for the event I was attending in the penthouse. It is a beautiful venue. The staff was extremely helpful. I interacted with at least 10 different members of the wait staff and every encounter was positive. I was very impressed with how attentive they were.
I went for a thanksgiving lunch. There is a lot of variety of food. It is very popular every year. I like the music there.

Horrible!!! We bright our children here to stay while we visited the beach nearby and we given a room with a view of the roof and AC vents and our toilet was over flooded and when hotel employees came to fix it they left poop residue everywhere and didn't properly clean afterwards then the pool and extra amenities were all shut down but we were still responsible for having to pay for these amenities that we were not even allowed to use by far it's been the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel room!!! and also there was loud people running up and down the hallways and somebody kept knocking at our door don't know who it was so it open it and nobody would be there I called downstairs to let them know about it they said they would handle the problem but the problem was never handled!!!!
Excellent hotel, rooms are even better with the ongoing renovations. Renovations did not impact stay, well coordinated hotel operation and renovation project. Very nice attentive staff. Across the street from the Del Amo Mall, lost a of restaurants and shopping in the area. Always stay here when visiting SOCAL.
Clean hotel with very nice staff and a great pool (salt water).
Lovely accommodations! Convenient parking. Cookies and bottled water at check-in. Balcony views. Robes and Slippers in the room. Spacious floor plan, Mini fridge, conveniently located outlets, large seated shower, lighted makeup mirror and toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion). Highly recommended, I will definitely stay here again!

Oh I'm not going anywhere. I'll be here for the next two or three weeks as I hunt for a house, and was going to try and relocate to a an air bnb, but why bother with affordability, gracious staff at front desk, and the guys at the food/bar....Jonathan, Jason, Steve, another couple gentlemen in the morning and the chef.
The pool is actually quite nice, but the hotel, at least until they finish the renovations they are doing, is a little bit dated. It was a Hilton brand back in the day and has good bones.
I come here for work often and always stay at this Doubletree. They provide excellent service, have a good restaurant, and an excellent location for shopping and dining. The drive down from LAX isn't bad, usually, either. Would recommend

Newly renovated; close to shopping, restaurants, amenities and Redondo Beach!! The bathroom is a little small, and the AC was a bit noisy when it would click ON...otherwise, a clean, comfortable stay.
Attended the Crystal ballroom for a graduation party. Overall the service was great for the most part, but it took about 20 minutes for then to bring my food after everyone else had gotten it.
Everything was great except the shower would either give you extremely hot or extremely cold water.
Lots of parking. Good relaxing area by pool. Restaurant avg. Lobby below avg. Next to Del amo Mall, so avg restaurant doesn't matter. Far from FWY (15 min ish without traffic)
DoubleTree in Torrance is about a half hour drive from the airport, LAX, in good traffic. The local area has plenty of shopping and restaurants around the hotel and is on route to San Pedro and Long Beach. The lobby is nice and open with plenty of space and seating, and has a good sports bar and restaurant as well as a coffee shop. At the back of the hotel there is a outdoor pool with a whirlpool and a good size gym. The rooms are a good size with modern furniture and amenities and nice bathrooms. The only drawback is that they removed the executive lounge that used to be on the 11th floor. There is also free self parking around the hotel. Overall a great full service hotel close to the airport.
We always like to come here ... And would the rooms newly renovated. Everything was very successful and still extremely friendly and attentive staff.
The hotel is good but the water is so soft that if you put soap while bathing it is a hell of a work to wash it

Great location!!! Right across the street from the mall and several restaurants in the area within walking distance! Parking lot is self park which is great and the spots are a little tight but never had an issue finding a spot. Hotel staff was welcoming and friendly. Lobby is very nice! The rooms are great except for the hallway from the room door to the rest of the room is super skinny. So getting in and out with luggage was annoying. Other than that the room itself was great! Beds are comfortable and the bathroom was nice and updated. I believe each room has a balcony which is great unless your on the 2nd floor like us where all we could see was the roof top with the air conditioners and maintenance stuff so the view sucked. The room service was delicious and made exactly like we requested just pretty pricey for the serving size. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!!! Just would ask for a higher floor next time.

The food was not good. The chicken was dry, so was the bread. The service was ok. While our event was going on you could hear the employees clashing the silverware in the kitchen. The vegetarian option was brought out after the chicken, so students at our table had to wait while everyone else was already eating..

Rooms need remodel. Feather comforters in every room which makes it miserable for those of us with allergies. Maid was irritated that she had to remove feather comforter. I asked for an extra blanket and the maid suggested that I call a supervisor. Put 'on hold' for 5 full minutes by the front desk at 3 pm Friday afternoon. I stay at Hiltons every month all around the country. In my opinion, this hotel doesn't live up to the Hilton standard.

Great location across the street from Del Amo mall. Plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance. The restaurant isn't open for breakfast due to covid but the small takeout restaurant was able to handle the reduced clientele. Food was very good and staff is very friendly. A very enjoyable stay.
Family and I stayed here for 4th of July night it was awesome could see fireworks from our room!!! Kids had fun in the pool.great night sleep!! We'll be coming back next year!!!

My company hosted an off-site workshop here. The room was adequate and the service was pretty great. But the wifi service for the meeting guests was pretty atrocious. They need to do better.

Comfortable resort feel hotel near the beach Amd walking distance to shopping mall and Walmart .
Located within walking distance and near a mall with several electric vehicle chargers. Greeted with a cookie and friendly service when we arrived. Doorways/bathroom/showrr were a tad narrow, but nothing that I couldn't get used to. Bed was incredibly comfortable and the room had a balcony.
Place was nice and clean. Going thru renovation. looks really nice.. I am a fan of double tree in general
Stayed here several times ... the suites are nice. Regular rooms are ok. Would like to see upgrades on their air-conditioning system. Had problems a few times on the ac not being cold enough (both suites and regular rooms) ... it's just blowing air, but could not get cold regardless how low the temperature was.
2 front desk staff were amazing, Andre and Glenn ... these 2 gentlemen truly embodied the guarantee that "if you're not happy with your stay, we will make it right". Others, like Elena, was unemphatic when told the ac was not working and flat out ignored request to change room (something that Glenn took care of and apologized for ... now that is genuine hospitality).
Forget their "care line" ... it failed in a simple task of getting housekeeping to clean my room (after 3x no one picked up when dialed housekeeping). Should had seen that coming when the lady who picked up simply stated "I'll see what I can do". This is before 3pm, at a Hilton hotel (for comparison Residence Inn Torrance ends housekeeping service at 4.30pm). Confronted front desk and they confirmed that housekeeping can practically be called anytime ... of course, it's a hotel.
My suggestion: look for those 2 gentlemen (Glenn and Andre) when making your reservation or if there is any problem with your stay. These gentlemen belong in the hospitality industry and will make sure you have a pleasant stay at Hilton Torrance.
In town for a wedding. Santa Monica was a bit pricey but this location was an excellent alternative. Good value, convenient, very nice Del Amo high end shopping, dining, movies right across the street. Hotel staff were welcoming, helpful.
Never ever prepay when doing the reservation. They just say the room is not available and give you a cheaper one. The discount suddenly disappears and your stuck with whatever they give you. No refunds.
Try to get a room in the main tower or with inside hallways. The rooms with direct outdoor access from the front door, i.e., facing the pool, are damp and more worn. Good alternative to an LAX airport hotel though. Mall, banks, grocery stores are within walking distance.
Me and my husband had a great time when we visited California and went to hear Our Apostle Paula K White sing and minister, and we stayed here it was a very lovely hotel and the bed was so comfortable The food was great the staff was great and the warm Christi Chocolate chip cookies that they give you on check in and check out we're amazing all I was missing was a glass of cold milk. Such a great experience. Can't wait to go back again. This time we will do more site seeing. You will not regret staying there.

Wonderful place the rooms new and modern and all the staff friendly , and it s across the street from del amo mall location is excellent
Parking is easy. Enjoyed local beer on tap (Smog City). Bartender was friendly. Come here every year for an event. Nothing really changes. Meal is always caprese salad, chicken, potatoes, veggies, cheesecake, and nothing special about it. But, the after dinner coffee is tasty. Staff is always efficient.
We stayed here during our trip to see the Rose Bowl. The facility was clean and the staff was very polite and helpful. A downside was it was quite a ways from the city. I've stayed at better Hilton facilities though and had I not had points to use up, I probably would've stayed elsewhere.
