The restaurant is run down....and everything is sticky. Brought my family and my 9 yr old kept complaining that the guys 3 feet away from us at the bar kept cursing and talking about private parts. We only wanted drinks so I ordered the blue margarita and husband ordered a beer. Both came in a plastic cup....which makes it hard for the salt to stick. No way in hell were we ordering food....place could NOT have passed any health code checks in quite some time.

I visited on Saturday afternoon. Great service, friendly staff, gritty waterfront ambience, excellent beer menu, reasonable prices, and very good food. Hard to find, but I'll be back.

What can I say about this tucked away little gem! Unfortunately my food was so amazing I didnt get a chance to capture a pic!! Our waitress was AMAZING!! Super friendly Cheridan is definitely one to ask for!! The drink list gave soooo many options! Definitely a must try!

Food wasn't great and was way too salty. Very pricey for what we got. Some of our party got shrimp. It was overcooked. The coleslaw tasted funky, warm, and soggy. When we told the server he just said OK and went on. Basically I paid over $20 for a cod that was decent, and then threw away the sides. We won't be back.

Riverside venue with steamed crabs and abroad complement of other seafood offerings. I ordered the fried seafood combo, choosing crab cake and oysters from six possible selections. I was not disappointed. The food was simply prepared and served, but the taste was top of the heap... delicious. There is indoor and outdoor seating. This place is over one hour's drive from my home, but I plan to return.

I've been there twice in the past 3 months..the first time out of our party only 3 people got food while an hour and a half later the 4 other people cancelled their orders including one peanut butter and jelly that shouldn't take two hours to make. The second time it was for the eclipse which was a mess they had one waiter the food was horrible and I spent my night vomiting. If you want Riverside dining I'd say it's worth the drive to Rick's rivershore in fairview or Tim's three in lake Anna I hear is run better. Stay away from this place. And if you complain to the owner nothing happens, not the best management style.

I love the ambiance of this restaurant. The food is good, and price is fair. The view is gorgeous.

Go to this place during nice cool days so you can seat outside. Nighttime is good also. Don't go to this place with low ground clearance vehicles if you want to park closer. There are several parking spaces after the train track.

Great location right on the Potomac! Great vibe and fun atmosphere. The food is a little pricey for what it is. Order the endless crab or full steamed crab that seemed to be what everyone else had ordered and we went a different route. It is also a little dirty, like tables are sticky even though they were just wiped down kind of dirty. This is usually the exact kind of hidden treasure that has the best food but in this case we were a little disappointed. Totally worth going just for a beer and the view though.

We are new to the area and thought this would be a fun place to eat. I'm not a particularly picky eater so the food was fine. However, the service was the worst I've ever had. After being seated no one helped us. One waitress noticed and brought us a drink while she went to find our server. The server finally showed up but after taking our order we literally never saw her again until we went and asked the hostess to get us a check. I walked up to the bar to get my own refills, and after the food runner brought our food, we walked to the bar and asked some random bar helper to get us bbq sauce. So disappointed. It was so unpleasant that we literally wasted our money.

If I was able to rate it zero stars I would. It was so terrible I haven't even left yet and am writing this review. The service was TERRIBLE. Yes, I came during on a Friday evening. But my boyfriend waiting over an HOUR for his burger. I ordered steamed shrimp and it came out immediately. When we asked about to burger and to speak to a manager, she gave us no help. Just told us she'd keep checking. Spent $60+ for less than 1 star service. When he got his burger it was dry and not even worth eating.

So disappointed. Was excited to go today to Tim's. Ordered raw oysters and they were rancid. The kitchen released this product to the food runner, who brought it to the bartender, who served us. THREE employees could've stopped this from coming out! I hope nobody gets sick from this!!! I'll never eat there again.

Very cool place to eat. Great seafood, and a great vibe. Laid back. This place is one of those places that you see in really cool beer commercials, and you say, "Wow, that would be a cool place to go." So go. It has indoor and outdoor seating, a marina, a beach area with Adirondack chairs. I drive from Rhode Island to Florida every so often, and I make sure to stop here every time.

Theirs was the only meal I had yesterday and resulted in many, many gallons of hershey squirts. Thank God the mud didn't start flowing until my plane landed. The noxiousness of my butt-water coupled with the fact that it was 9/11 would have forced an emergency landing. As I tried to maintain consciousness in spite of the epic odor and excruciating intestine contortions I contemplated how it was possible that my body contained that much water. I dared not light a match for fear of turning my lovely home into a smoking crater requiring remediation by a brownfield speciality company.

Eat here and you too can paint porcelain masterpieces.

When I was there the waitress didn't listen to me a brought fried scallops not baked. The drinks were great, the crab balls so good. The is this one guys that works there named Lonny, he was so helpful on a few things I needed and his laugh was simply amazing. I will be back for sure many more times and bring more friends.

The food and atmosphere here are phenomenal. They have a little beach area where the kids can play and they light bonfires at night. On the weekends they also have live music. This is a restaurant that you want to come for a great meal and stay long after you cleaned your plate because you are having such a good time. They only down sides are parking, it's a bit chaotic since you can park on either side of the train tracks. And the bathrooms are small and old.

Love Tim's...it's such a laid back place. No,need to dress up or come dressed up it's all up to you. The food is great and the CRABS are even better. Tonight the CRABS were ok. I have had better and yes from Tims. He can choose how heavy or how they are gonna taste but i can guarantee one thing he WILL HAVE CRABS. DRINKS ARE ALWAYS GOOD.

It's a descent place to sit by the water and have seafood and a few drinks. They have bands usually on the weekends. It's filled with eclectic people. Probably one of the few places left you can sit outside have food, drinks and a cigar. They have inside seating, outside seating, descent size four sided bar and a beach area. They have docks in case you arrive by boat or sometimes I'll anchor out. Watch your depth finder it's only 4'-6' out there. If you want a place to sit. Go early on Friday and the weekend.

Wow! This is off the beaten path, but once you get here, you won't want to leave! Beautiful on the river front with their plastic table & chairs in the sand.
Their alcoholic drinks are... potent & fun! Be careful because some drinks seem like there's no alcohol in them. You will need a DD for these roads.
The food is mostly fish based which is great! We got the softshell crab sandwich, I got the crabcake sandwich which was good. Take friends & stay awhile! You will have a great time!

Stay away from this restaurant. I went there on Saturday June, 1, 2013. The staff is untrained, unprofessional, and unacceptable. The service is terrible. Leadership is completely absent. It took the waitress about 10 minutes before she came to our table. After we ordered (there were two of us), it took about 40 minutes before one of the orders arrived and it was only part of the order. The waitress explained there are two kitchens and they don't coordinate like this excuses the poor service The second order still wasn't out 15 minutes after the first order arrived. I told the waitress that this was unacceptable. The waitress said she would get the manager. I did not ask for the manager. The manager also explained about the two kitchens. Perhaps the two kitchen concept should be changed if it is such a bad idea. I tried to talk to the manager but she interrupted me and when I asked if she would let me speak she actually said no. The waitress had an attitude as did the manager. I don't know how this place stays in business. When my food arrived, it was delivered by another person who said she was also a "manager" and she really had a bad attitude. My food was packed to go and I didn't ask for it to go. I went and asked the first manager why my food was packed to go go and she said she assumed we wanted to leave. Do NOT waste your money at this restaurant. This was not a one time event. I have been to this restaurant before and the service wasn't good though not as bad as it was this day.

This place has really gone downhill in the past year. We went in October, was looking forward to a table close to the water. Every set of table and chairs was absolutely filthy, looked like it hadn't been washed in years. We ordered the broiled seafood platter and fried seafood platter. Broiled seafood tasted like someone poured a ton of old bay and salt on it and threw it on a plate. The fried seafood platter was greasy and overcooked. The server was attentive and friendly as always. I have enjoyed going to Tim's for years, but the quality is definitely what it used to be. Dissapointed that I will not be going back...

We waited 40+ minutes to be seated, an additional 40 to get initial drinks, and after an additional hour with no food or appetizers, while everyone around us was served, we left... still hungry.

Amazing food, great staff, lively entertainment! Never had a bad meal there. You can sit inside or enjoy the outdoors, with an outdoors bar. They regularly have live music to enjoy and if you got a boat you can throw out the anchor and enjoy the festivities also.
