Always a good time at this place on the water. It's busy in warm weather so prepare to spend some time having a meal. The drinks and food are good and the staff is friendly and helpful. They also have events and holiday and weekend specials on seafood (crabs) etc. Check it out!

Totally rockin' place to get good seafood, especially steamed crabs. Waitresses are sweet and happy. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Definitely a *hidden gem* this land-lubber highly recommends!

Dre our server was spot on. We enjoyed crab balls and hush puppies for apps. Then we had crab cake and rock fish sandwiches with a salad for our main. It was good. Thanks for a great lunch.

I give five stars because no matter if it is a high or low rating, the county and other jurisdictional powers that be are trying to make this place go away. It is out of compliance from what people who know better than you or I know to be a proper place to socialize and visit. In other words, he will be forced out of business because they can't control him. This is a unique spot in all of Northern Virginia. The quirky tacky decor and the devil-may-care feel is something you can only find in US backwaters or other countries where regulation is simpler or non-existent. The location on the water is not unique per se but getting there by driving along the dirt access road adjacent to the railroad tracks is. I highly recommend going here. Great photo opportunities all around. Food is ok to good. Prices seem a tad high for entrees but really not much more than you might expect from any other NoVA restaurant serving the same fare. Development is closing in on this "remote" experience. You need to go now before houses surround it and the County turns it into something they think is proper for you to experience.

Nasty place. Cobwebs all over windows and inside doors, floors were dirty, and the place had a bad smell. The crabs I eat tasted good but they would taste good anywhere. Watched resterunt help eating more than they they were serving. My wife commented she could not tell how were customers and who were help.

It was so so. Waited for 2 of our parties food which one came out by the time most of us were about finished. The list of our order came out way after our meal was done. We ended up still paying for it as well. Our waiter was very kind though so that helped.

Great

Nice

Pros:

Pros:
- views/vibe was nice. Felt like a little getaway from Woodbridge in Woodbridge lol

Cons:
- Food is overpriced. Small portions and tasted plain for what its worth.

Loved this place. A must do if you are in the area. Be prepared, it had limited parking, and is very loud, but if you have a large group this is the ideal spot. Platters were awesome, combos were good.

Just left there and the food was great but the reason I am writing this review is because of the service.'

Nycole was our serer and she was fantastic. We had a party of 14 people and she didn't miss a beat.

Great job Nycole

Good little out of the way place the sits on the water front ...yes you will have to drive over the hill and through the woods to get there so listen to GPS. Cross railroad tracks and drive along gravel road North and you will be there

Nice and quiet location that is not where you would notice it. The drive down along the railroad tracks might scare away some or remind someone a movie where they disappear one at a time. Keep driving and you will be rewarded with a smile and good food for not turning around. We enjoyed our meals and the views are nice. The atmosphere is on point of a seafood restaurant down on the bayou back in Louisiana. Good food, good service, good memories! Thanks for the service!

We are coming here pretty often.. every Saturday and Sunday, as well as couple evenings on a weekdays. I mean what can we do, if it s our fav place?;) lol. Just wanted to point out the great service that we received last night on Full Moon Party from Nicole. (NYC that s how people call her). She was amazing! Best waitress that we had so far at Tim s. Nice, super friendly, always in a good mood. She was checking on us often, making sure we had our glasses filled and plates full;)

Thanks Tim s and Nicole!

We will see you later this week!

Service and food were excellent. But we were on the deck and had conflicting radio tunes. One speaker playing songs behind our heads and a loud speaker playing different tunes down from us a little. It was a great relief when the radio clash was turned off and the live music began.

We went on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. Due to its location, parking can be a problem, but the food was totally worth it. Crab cakes were amazing, shrimp was delicious, and had a great view of the water. It might not look appealing, but all the food was great.

The best thing in this place is LOCATION!

Could seat and watch the river for hours.
Food is no more than reasonable. Old dirty plastic tables outdoors. But havig a cold beer on the river banch is pricless.

Saw this place while passing on the train as my daily commute. Stopped in tonight 4/13/16. Seated quickly but never served. Waited 25 min and tried to flag down a waitress but was just given looks. After giving up tried to talk to the manager but she was too busy outside smoking and talking on the phone. Overall poor service and a dump.

Still the best place. Unfortunately it was closed last Sunday. Ok, google is wrong when appears open in maps but to drive all the way from DC is hardly a good idea just to sight. Any way I will be there again next mont, hopefully will be opened

I can't say enough good things about this place! The food, the staff, the views, the facilities are all top of the class! Getting in could get a bit tricky, be mindful of the single lane dirt road getting to the parking area. If you see an open spot by the tracks, don't feel the need to dive right in, most people see that parking has stretched far away and get what they can find. But each time I went there has been a few available parking spots right next to the restaurant. This is a must-do especially when the weather is great!

Location is 5 stars! The seafood taste like it came out of the Anacostia river. If you think I'm exaggerating, go ride a jet ski around the mouth of the Anacostia for a couple of hours and then go home and smell yourself. You'll smell just like pollution (should smell) and you'll never forget that smell. The last time I rode a jet ski in the Potomac near the mouth of the Anacostia was the year 2000 (17 years ago) and the last time I smelled and tasted the Anacostia was tonight at Tim's Rivershore. That was the steamed crabs and the seafood combo (whatever they call it). I ate there 6 hours ago, wanted to vomit while walking to my vehicle and the smell is still on my hands after washing them 6 times (including with vinegar) and dousing them in hand sanitizer. Although it has a fantastic view, the area (Dumfries) is as savvy as that Anacostia smell. However the french fries were 3 stars and the coleslaw 2.5 stars. In summary, the food is disgusting and if you don't believe me - then bon appetit. Oh, yea - I'm 50 years old, born and raised on the West Coast of Florida and have eaten at seafood restaurants my entire life. The difference between every other seafood place I've eaten and this one? I gaged while driving home from Tim's. For those who think this is seafood, you'll have a better dinner if you buy some frozen shrimp fish bait in a bait house on the St. Pete side of Gandy Bridge and let it sit in the August Florida heat for a week. Contrary to many other reviews, the service on a Sunday evening was outstanding.

If you want to eat this trash anyway you should at least wear gloves.

But, again - the location is 5 stars!

Main courses (5 people) were uniformly very good. The hush puppies were very over cooked, and the other 'sides' portions were extremely small, less than half a cup of baked beans . Service was very good.

Yummy
