Very POOR service.

Very POOR service.
I have had a sonata since 2013. It started making an unsual sound on the engine after about a few months. Ive got them to check my car atleast 7 times so far and they have declined to fix it every single time. They have given my all kinds of reasons. It sounds like an old car now. I keep reciving an email asking about my opinion on the service since it is "important" to them but they never ever got back to me. I am very disappointed.

The sale of our new Santa Fe Sport was handled in a professional, courteous manner; we were taken through the sales process with every explanation we needed, without pressure, and a keen desire on the part of Thornhill Hyundai staff to see that we were totally satisfied. The purchase was fun because there was no serious (and time wasting "haggling") ... simply what we needed, what they had to offer, and a meeting of the two to get the deal completed efficiently and everyone walking away happy. We would recommend this experience to anyone ... you knew you were being treated fairly and with honesty throughout the process.

The staff was friendly, understanding and timely, and the service that was performed on my car was great and faster than expected. Everything was very smooth, from car drop-off to car pick-up, so I will definitely return to Thornhill Hyundai for my car's servicing.

Excellent customer service !!! The staff are always very helpful and attend to you the minute you enter the dealership. This was my first time buying a new car, my husband/Tibor Szabo/. and Mohsin was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. From start to finish he helped me every step of the way and I would recommend him to anyone thinking of going to Thornhill Hyundai . thank you for everything

I had an appointment with Thornhill Hyundai back in September 2016. Everyone from the person on the phone who booked the appointment, Eric the service manager and staff, as well as the shuttle driver, were very organized. I liked the clarity of their communications about the appointment and the services required for the vehicle. This is a huge improvement over the experience I had sometime in 2014 (very disorganized, I waited an hour for a shuttle ride, late for work), which drove me away. This experience pulled me back. Thank you!

Really good customer service and very ideal place to test drive cars around this area because of Doncaster. Dealers are nice and friendly and I had the best car shopping experience in here out of all of the dealerships around North York and Yonge-Steeles.

STAY AWAY !! Probably worst dealer, service, customer service and management I have ever dealt with !. I would definitely not recommend. I met them first last September cause of my 2020 Palisade purchase, from beginning to end ( including last Friday s very unfriendly and rude service area guys who made me decide to not leave the car for recall repair) they made me completely regret. During the purchase phase sales guy wasn t enough informed about the car and its price, following sale agreement and placement of down payment I got much better quotations at 2 other Hyundai dealers !. Cause of the lost of original car keys !! they delivered my Palisade 2 days after their promise ( without informing me in advance or by returning my phone calls ) by making 2 new copied keys (of course no apology no recompense effort ). After delivery, they never paid attention or replied my negative/complaining reviews and emails sent regarding unpleasant purchase phase of my Palisade. If you re looking to purchase a Hyundai you re better off going to a different dealer.

They charged me $800 and did nothing. My problem was the shaky breaks, so whenever I was hitting the breaks my car was shaking and now I have spent $800 but still my car is shaking and now even its making some weird noises while driving. Completely messed up.

Afsheen Baig is a liar, irresponsibly not picking up the phone, selling for the sake of sales targets, and complaints to general manager have no sense.

They literally lied to us and we have been waiting for over 2 months for the confirmation about returning of the leased car. Afsheen hasn't been picking up the phone, until we decided to call from a different number and she did, said that we have to come by to sign docs, but in the end we found out that we did not have to come (45 mins driving distance) to Thornhill Hell Hyundai for signing the docs.

I have had the pleasure of purchasing a new Elantra from this dealership. The salesperson, Luisa, who I had been dealing with has been absolutely fantastic. She fought for me to ensure that I got the best deal and threw in a few freebies as well. I have had the car for about a month and she has followed up virtually every week to ensure that I was satisfied with the new ride and ask if I had any questions.

I had a minor issue last week with the car squeaking in the trunk. I had to take it in to service to have it looked at. I must say that my first experience with their service blew me away. The service folks attended to me right away and even offered a loaner when they realized that they would have to keep it overnight. Eventually they delivered the car to my house when I couldn't go pick it up due to work constraints. Mimi, the service co-ordinator kept me informed on progress everyday and was a pleasure to work with.

I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Hyundai and am hopeful that my experience with them continues to be the same or better through the years!

AVOID SERVICE DEPARTMENT! Why?

AVOID SERVICE DEPARTMENT! Why?

1. They claimed the entire throttle body on our car needed replacement and that the sensor "can't" be replaced on our car model. That was a lie and another Hyundai dealer replaced sensor for $40 bucks (versus 500+ for part)

2. Even through we told them upfront our car was American, they tried to run software updates that didn't work and then they couldn't reinstall the old software. Ultimately, we had to TOW OUR VEHICLE TO THE U.S. AT OUR OWN EXPENSE to get reprogrammed after they sat on it doing nothing for days.

3. They gave us a complimentary car rental during the process (only positive thing...well so we thought), only to call us over a month after we had left the dealership and settled the bill to try and tell us we needed to pay for the car rental and that they never told us it was free.

Absolutely unacceptable service and massive waste of our money, time, and energy. Very unprofessional place with zero ability to take ownership of mistakes.

Came to this dealership to service my vehicle. They were quite busy had a few cars in. Ed was the first man to acknowledge me at first. Davis was pleasant to deal with, he was friendly, honest, and professional. He took care of my service maintenance and concerns that I had. He had set up my an Uber shuttle which was very convenient. They picked me up after work and washed my car. Great experience, highly recommend!

Possibly one of the worst customer service I have ever delt with! Been dealing with a rust issue on a new car since MAY! I will leave messages to multiple people and no call backs. Finally a service advisor stepped up their game and was helping me but again they fell back into their routine of no updates and no call back. Sadly now my car was towed to this location. Trying to get Information but of course no call backs. Just unbelievable, how hard is it for a call back.

Found them through an Autotrader listing for a 2016 Hyundai Accent with relatively low km at a good price. Met an upstanding young gent by the name of David Marshall who quickly made the time to meet with me and provided me with a courteous and responsive customer service experience from start to finish. His level of dedication and professionalism was made even more impressive by his relative youth - the work ethic he exhibited is something you expect of someone in their 40's, not 20's.

Thornhill Hyundai boasts having a laid-back, no pressure and transparent sales approach, and having experienced it this past week I can safely say that's very true of David and his manager Michael. They laid out aftercare and warranty options but didn't aggressively push any of them on me, and supported whatever decision I made. The used car was nicely detailed and waiting for me on-schedule for pick-up, and I've been enjoying it since.

DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!!! WALK AWAY!!! OR RUN AWAY!!!!!!The most accurate review I will give to this place is 1/10. Why? I have been wanting to put this review for a long time. It started of fine when their guy Andrew was there in the service department. When he left, most of the people I have dealt with were just a bunch of scumbags. I purchased my elantra in Dec 2011. I said yes to everything, you name it, i got it. I got the extended 20,000 km warranty and i bought this Protection Package for $1495 plus tax. This should include stuff for stains, rust protection, and if the stitches come off. I brought my car in 2 years ago to have the stitches in the driver seat fixed, they said I have missed an inspection, therefore they will not cover it. I was bummed out and I walked away with a broken heart. Now why am I putting a review? Well because these professional scammers would email me or call me to remind me that my oil change is due ALL THE TIME! They will send me mail to get some work done on my car, but because I missed an inspection, they will not cover something they urged me to buy. I was an idiot for trusting my $28,732 to these BAD business people. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!!! WALK AWAY!!! RUN AWAY!

Worst service and lying sales people with false promises just to get commission. The management didn t even had the decency to contact me when I had concerns. Don t fall for this lame dealership. Not even Hyundai HQ wanted to get involved as they don t have any backbone to support their brand. So disappointed that the Canadian consumer doesn t have any protection against dealerships like this. Be aware, very aware. Ask the sales person that fraudulently charge my credit card without my knowledge and admitted to it. Shame on you Hyundai!

So I asked to receptionist for the work.
But she was so rude and only saying that I have to ask to the service advisor.
I thought the black lady would help me but she was not willing to help me and very rude.
She was sooooo rude and I was really mad at her.
I will never come back again. This organization is not managed properly.
I had a plan to buy Santa Fe, but I won t buy any Hyundai. You guys lose the customer permanently.

There's nothing worse than having at least 8 employees standing at the front and not one of them willing to engage. When one associate decided to take charge she not only ignored out wishes but was pushing us to something we had no desire for. She then proceeded to make us feel guilty about our budget. Was not impressed at all.

The worst customer service I have ever received in...

The worst customer service I have ever received in my life....I have received poor customer service before, but I have never EVER before had such a horrible experience. I have a 2017 tuscon, still under warranty that has failed to start twice....the battery is dead, however the battery is testing fine. So, clearly, there is something draining the battery. I was told if I want to load test the alternator, battery etc....I would be charged 160$ plus tax. I was told, until they find the vehicle, I could bring in 5, 8, 10 times and I will be charged every single time for an electrical issue because it is difficult to diagnose. I spoke for nearly an hour with a senior adviser, not even a manager, a Mr. Richard Voskamp who was the most arragant and rude person I have ever spoken to. I will NEVER be returning to this Hyundai dealer....Do not buy get your vehicle serviced, or do ANYTHING to do with this dealer if you're smart.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE WALKING HOME WITH NO CAR! GET ABUSED TALK TO RICHARD

The Thornhill Hyundai VP Operations & Service Richard V. should stay away from talking and/or working with customers.

Richard doesn't like customers who want to discuss problems with their cars - in fact he doesn't like any customer. Richard wants your car in his shop to bring in the MOST dollars possible for the stakeholders and will charge for a Safety Recall. Why? Because he can.

Richard will charges for everything including if possible the courtesy shuttle to your home/work and the Free coffee/tea and water.

Richard thought it as a better idea to discuss his 30 yrs as a journeyman mechanic then my car that has been towed into the dealership 4x in the past 10 months because of problems that were caused due to either poor craftsmanship & design by Hyundai and/or the mechanics who failed to repairs problems the first time the car was in their shop.

Richard is a bully and not trustworthy person with too much power & authority.

I told Richard that I can't trust him because:

a) Richard says many things that are untrue and far from accurate yet he speaks with a tone of authority. Lies, lies and fabricated stories

b) have had to return my car by another towing expense to get the same work done and still not right. No apologies, no goodwill offered just brutal and demeaning service.

c) a bully and arrogant person

d) His own staff and support team have agreed that customer service is awful and I shared it with Richard and his response is "doesn't matter, we are too busy to care with what customer service numbers are I care about making sure every car gets billed out ASAP"

Richard thought it would be best to deny me of a courtesy ride/shuttle to my home. This is after he over charged me $160 on work I never authorized. He agreed in a meeting with 2 of his co-workers that he never got my permission because he never mentioned a quotation.
Richard walks on water!

His staff including Mimi and Ed were in the meeting room and they didn't step up and suggest that I am a paying customer and should be given the courtesy shuttle/ride home. Go ahead Richard train your staff to become a monster of a person like you have become.

Richard turned the meeting into an interview for himself. He doesn't care about the car, he cares about making sure consumers & staff compliment him and will bully you if you don't give him a compliment.

Richard you are a disgusting person to be given so much power & authority. The stakeholders of Thornhill Hyundai (Patheon Group) need to evaluate how you slipped through the cracks in the hiring process unless they agree with your philosophy of the profit is greater than the service and value proposition for the consumer.

Has management reviewed the Google Reviews ever since Richard took over and considered possibly that he isn't a good alignment (pun) for Service, Customer Service and anything to do with consumers?

Registering a complaint with Consumers Affairs and other Google Reviewers should do the same.

Today I went to Thornhill Hyundai to ask for a deposit back. Manager Ting Ying called the police on me because the dealership refuses to return the deposit even though there was no bill of sale. Thornhill Hyundai uses pressure techniques to force you into buying a vehicle by holding your deposit. They will take your deposit upfront without showing you the bill of sale, and by the time you talk to the finance manager the price goes up. John William Welsh is in charge of that dealership. Be aware of Johns' two face. At first he seemed to be a nice guy, but the second he realized you not buying he will turn on you. Dear customers, please do not put a deposit down before seeing the bill of sale and you fully understanding the deal. Do not get pressured into buying. Avoid Phaeton Automotive Group dealerships.

I came to Thornhill Hyundai in December 2016 to purchase a used vehicle and my sales person, Afsheen Baig was wonderful. After the paperwork was signed and I was given the keys, Afsheen herself noticed a problem I had not and right away told me she would take care of it and arrange for a loaner. The loaner was a beautiful 2017 Sante Fe which I was permitted to keep for 2 weeks. Though my purchase was an $11,600 used car, Afsheen made me feel like I was the most important customer in the world to her.

Literally the worst customer service ever not once...

Literally the worst customer service ever not once but twice, first time was a couple of months ago when I went to have my care serviced there, it took almost 4 hours for them to do the job, nobody was responsive to my questions, I had been sitting there for four hours and didn't get any correct info, ladies was messy, there were no toilet paper or paper towel, I asked for someone to supply the washroom and I faced with some attitude and was literally snubbed by staff!!! I discussed it with manager later and he promised me to follow the issue and respond me back which he never did!! Second time was on last Thursday of the March that I went for oil change again, ladies was again dirty, no toilet paper, no paper towel!!! again I asked staff to send some supplies and surprisingly again I encountered the same nasty attitude that it is not within their responsibility!!!! I was standing there with wet hands feeling ignored and nobody even made a move!! They kept saying discuss your issues with manager, looks like they know management will do NOTHING for customer complains!!!!
