The staff was extremely helpful and proffesional. They went out of their way to makes sure my daughters wedding went perdectly.
Sweet Resort. They had late night live music and there walking path to the waterfall is awesome. This place is great I will definetly come back.
They have decided it is summer so it is slow. Half of all bars are closed and if you want a drink after 5pm I hope you brought it with you. Cause the pool bar is closing.
The other Garden of Eden and it is always a magical experience!! If you're coming from out of town, my husband & l highly recommend it!!
Went to a gala here. Absolutely beautiful. The staff was amazing and did everything. Very organized.
Absolutely loved the Oaxacan cheese sticks from the bar. I want to go right back and get them again.
Fantstic stay. Beautiful rooms and views. Great and friendly staff. I plan on staying at Loews New Orleans within the next few months.
Stayed over Labor Day Weekend. Booked on the phone and told golf was included with golf package room stay. Turns out there is a credit that doesn't cover the golf entirely. Then double billed for golf days after checking out. I have to call and request a committee review of my bill and wait for their response when the mistake is obvious to the billing person taking the call. Nice. Overall the hotel was nice. A little worn out but the rooms were nice enough and the staff at the hotel was wonderful. We are normally low key and happy travelers and we left without saying a thing because overall we roll with it but he difference between the hotel and the golf staff was dramatic. Bif The Proshop Guy was rude when the place was literally empty. Its not like he was busy or backed up with guests. We showed up early, no clubs ready from the hotel. Beverage service on the course was kind of a crazy experience and when we asked a course worker for some waters and where the beverage cart might be, he just rolled his eyes. Its not the $$ but you pay a little extra and expect a nicer experience. I have had better treatment and service on muni courses and definitely on casino courses around Phoenix. Disappointed. Still waiting on my appeal to the double charge. I guess that is my responsibility. Billing wouldn't connect me to a manager.
Rooms were clean, staff was courteous and helpful. We ate breakfast at one of the restaurants, and it was expensive but good. The pool was not as big as I expected.
Excellent views. Well maintained. Attractive amenities within reach. Staff were attentive and helpful. Great for a professional conference or a personal getaway.
Nice quiet resort in the foothill of Mt. Lemmon. Has a water fall. It's just a nice hotel overall
Awesome pool.. nice walking trails around property.. clean rooms with balcony over looking pool and mountain
We have had our annual sales meeting here every year. We had quite a few hiccups this year but I have to say no o e but me where aware. The staff is amazing. I work with Caroline Cassino who is absolutely the best. She keeps things running to make job easier. Steven is the head of banquets who makes me feel like I am home everytime we are there. I am always welcomed with a warm hug. Z is out banquet captain who makes sure I eat while I am working. Always has the drink I like ready for me. Naomi and Alyssa always take such good care of me. Cliff and Peter at the bell desk are always willing to throw in a hand to help me with all I have. Corey at the front desk along with Meagan and Brandy all help to make our event a success. I also have to mention Jose, Mary, Tommy and Melissa who all do an amazing job to help everyone during the event. We have three to four days and they make it seem effortless. I could not do my job effectively without this amazing staff. Thank you all for an amazing job.
Seems like it would be a great place to stay once the restrictions from the pandemic are lifted. Almost all the amenities were closed, and due to being short staffed, the hotel grounds were not as well kept or clean as I would imagine they usually are. It was a beautiful location though with great views.
Employees are very nice and ready to help at a moment's notice. The rooms have a huge 2 person tub. The beds were luxurious and pillows a plenty. Parking can be found fairly close to your room, but our room was not near the front. Quite a bit of walking, maybe that's normal for a resort, I don't know. We had several meals there, the best by far was the World class, top rated Sunday brunch. It was amazing. The scenery all around is gorgeous. Definitely want to go again and experience more!!!
Just has the best customer service, really just a top notch experience!!!
We were seated outside next to a large table of little kids and it was quite noisy. We had asked for a table inside and they wanted to seat us at the furtherest table in the couch area which was not too desirable. We had noticed when we first got there that there was a table for 2 open, but needed cleaning...we would have waited for that but they would not seat us there. That table was still open when we left. Go figure!
one of my favorite places in Arizona hope you enjoy the pics
We visited as part of a marriage retreat. Check-in was easy. The room is very nice; ours had two queen beds, a wonderful bath/shower combo, and a balcony. The sloped landscaping meant that even though we were on the third floor, we had walkout access to parking. The in room amenities (shampoo, soap, etc) were good quality. As part of the group package, we got to enjoy the on-site dining facilities for breakfast (buffet) and lunch (private buffet). Both meals, the staff made sure my wife, who has some food allergies, had many options. We would happily stay here again.
Amazing stay at an amazing resort. The hotel is located in a beautiful location under the Catalina foothills. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious bathroom.
All staffa I've interacted here were wonderful and welcoming. I stayed here for a week for work. Loews Ventana Canyon resort was one of the few places where I wished I had stayed longer.
Front desk personnel have no helpful way of doing business. I understand that Covid happened, but when someone pays that much money, the experience is worth more than the money factor. The bellman was a pleasure to have helped us upon check in. He helped find us ice from another floor. Our floor, the 4th floor ice machines were not working. Upon telling the front desk, it was working again after we got done doing our running around. The AC in the room prevented me from sleeping well. Hot is the keyword. I spoke twice to the front desk about the AC. Still not fixed. We had it set at 60, felt like 80. The pillows were a joke, the bed was hard as a rock. The smell in the hallway was a cross of mildew and Covid spray. The decor is stick in the 80 s. Plumbing in the room was subpar. Needs to be updated as well. Air filter in room didn t look it had been changed in sometime. We liked the tub and the view. I ve worked for another hotel company and they far exceed the expectations I got from my stay with my new wife. You charge a resort fee, what is that exactly?
Staff was very attentive. The resort is nice though very pricey on most things. They have a 80ft waterfall you can take a short walk to. It's a Beautiful walk. I think my favorite part though is on the day of check out they don't kick you out of bed. You have till noon to check out.
Working a cte conference for career technical education teachers
Beautiful inside and out. Especially love walking to the waterfall and feeding the Koi.
Best brunch in town. Best buffet as Well! Unlimited mimosas = good time.
Really a pleasant stay in a very cool structure and environment. Loved the lobby, the walk to the waterfall, the Par Fitness course (though it needs a little updating and maintenance), and the pool. The hotel's effort to be environmentally appreciative was seen everywhere, particularly during the development phases (by not killing any Saguerno Cacti ) and now, with informative signs about the plants and animals). Loved the gigantic koy fish, too!
This has nothing to do with the view, rooms, food or the staff that looks after you. This has to do with upper management. My retirement vacation was destroyed by the reservation senior person who moved me to a much lesser hotel because they were oversold. I was not asked, I was told. I have told this story to probably 30 people, so far.
This was our second stay and we loved it! If you want a quiet and romantic getaway from the crowds this is the place to stay!
It was a wonderful little get away. My love and I had an amazing time, we enjoyed our stay. Brunch was great and Linda our waitress was just great.
The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. Serenely set, it's nestled into a mountain side with a view of either the mountain or valley. We had the mountain view and could see a waterfall from the spacious patio outside the back of our room. We traveled as a family and there were plenty of things for everyone to enjoy. There are two giant koi ponds that you can drop pellets into and feed the fish, live music, swimming pools, ping pong table, movies at the pool with complimentary popcorn and sodas to name a few. Definitely best to stay at least a few nights so you can enjoy all they have to offer. The rooms are beautiful with the most comfortable beds and an oversized tub. The resort was certainly off the beaten path but well worth the journey.
The king room was spacious the bath tub huge !!!! The scenery was beautiful looking forward to staying here again
Great place! Love the fact you're so surrounded by nature. They are the best place in Tucson for pets. They being your pet a welcome gift and even have a pet menu. It was great!
The views and the service are best of Tucson. Treated like royalty!
Sunday Brunch! Blues Brews & BBQ. This is the best Sunday brunch in all Pima county. The spread is extensive with sushi, oysters, shrimp, omelette station...the list keeps going!! Not to mention unlimited craft beers or mimosa's. If it's Sunday when you read this...what are you waiting for?!?! Go get some!
The rooms were great, beautiful showers and the pool area was very nice. The area of the resort is perfect, especially if you like more of a nice desert scenery with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. But, at one point of the day, my partner and two of our friends were sitting outside on the balcony, enjoying the weather and simply talking, when all of a sudden we get a knock at the door from security saying that we were too loud. We felt targeted for being younger. But just cuz your young, doesn't mean the room comes out free. I believe our neighbors complained, due to the fact that they had a baby crying literally all day and night. Also another thing was that it was some what difficult to get to our room. We parked on the other side of the resort. Make sure to take money with you, to play golf it even costs, even after paying for a room.
My stay at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort was very relaxing. Rosie at the bar during happy hour was a blast to talk to. She was amazing! One thing I would recommend is checking the A/C at the hotel. Not sure if my room A/C had something wrong with it but it was definitely not blowing as strong as a A/C should blow. I have the A/C set to 60 my hole tire stay and the room did not get cold. Other than that everything else was enjoyable. I am a travel agent and I will definitely recommend clients to stay at this hotel.
Great place, food was excellent. We had a business meeting here over three days. Everything was on time and we'll laid out. Great planning Team, great staff all the way around.
Very interesting and beautiful design. Surroundings are gorgeous. Staff is friendly.
The room was AMAZING! My view of the mountains and cacti was calming and refreshing. The bathtub was easily the size of a small pool, and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. I loved the option to feed the koi fish, it was so fun! The bartenders make amazing drinks at night, and there is a Starbuck's counter available first thing in the morning. Amazing hotel, I'd be honored to stay again!
Great brunch! My favorites are the ceviche and the dessert bar. Easy to coordinate large parties, and the wait staff is very attentive and present.
Great resort over looking Tucson. So much to do and see here.
Very nice pool. Wi-Fi was steady. Room was nice. It was a relaxing stay all-in-all
Such a beautiful resort! I love coming here for my stay-cations
This resort is gorgeous. The grounds are incredible and there is a large waterfall on the property. There are great food and drinks options. The are koi ponds, water features, and excellent mountain views. Great place for date night or to stay with the family.
Stepping on the grounds of this renowned resort alleviates every ache of stress life may serve. Finding gems like this place is rare and now that I have I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Southern AZ. From the moment one arrives they are treated like royalty from never having to open a door for themselves to being lavished with impeccably keep landscapes. Exploring the offerings of this Loews will take multiple visits and during each stay I become more impressed and loyal to the brand.
Having stayed at some of the best places in Phoenix (ie. Biltmore, Phoenician, Sanctuary) I find the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort to hit the mark of excellence in more ways that any top tier competitor.
Take my advice and join their YouFirst Rewards program, I'm sure you'll be back!
Had a really nice time at the hotel. Comfortable rooms, nice amenities. Food and drinks were good, nothing spectacular and a bit over priced... But I guess that is the whole area. Over all, I would stay there again. Very nice.
Beautiful and relaxing. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Check out the waterfall!
Great Rooms. very clean new modern amenities. makes you feel good to stay here.
Spent 30 Days Here In 2011....Need I say More? Okay, this place is the Best in Tucson, hands down! Unreal Sunday Brunch, Weekend Parties, Late Pool Hours, Adult Pool, Star Gazing, Great Food, & They Let You Bring Pets!!! Remember u Gotta Pay 2 Play w/ The Big BO$$
Great golf course
Views of Tucson are amazing
onw of my favorite resorts in town.lobby is especially classy and yons of windows. photographer's dream :)
Love the view and the relaxing environment. Great view of the city. Clean and inviting.
Such a beautiful location, amazing architectural design, lot of walking paths, rooms very comfortable and were kept, friendly staff
Outdated with low ceilings. Amenities are great. The pool is heated so you can go for a swim a night. Staff is very polite. Food is not that good with very small portions.
Love this place. Location , location, location! And the accommodations are wonderful.
I was meeting someone, the lobby was nice and the desk people were friendly. That's as far as I got.
Amazing place to stay. Spent the night here and ate at their restaurant which was also amazing. Room accommodations were very nice and room service was great. Highly recommend this place to anyone.
Our visit has resulted in a quite a fun relaxing experience. The staff was very accommodating in spite of our large group of family staying in one room. We found a great deal and loved the experience. I would definetely recommend it to a friend.
Wonderful place. Don't need to worry about tipping, everything has 20% gratuity added to the price. Staff tells you a total price, which includes a deposit, but changes the price so they could keep the deposit.
This property holds a special place in my heart. Nestled in my favorite part of Tucson, the views are absolutely unbeatable. The staff was friendly and super attentive, the Canyon Suite was INCREDIBLE, and their health and safety measures during the pandemic were very evident and reassuring. I will stay here again and again.
Make sure you take a quick walk up to the waterfall when you visit!
Fair property, but only that. The layout is confusing and parking is inconvenient. It is quite old and although the setting is nice, the rooms themselves need some updating. My door didn't close properly for example and the shower control was faulty. I noticed the bed skirt was torn with stains on it and the coffee maker didn't work. There is a plaque at the entrance proudly proclaiming the place was built in 1984--maybe hide that!
Nice property but far away from everything and on-site amenities are overpriced
The facilities are lovely. However, having housekeeping open the door while you're in a comprising position is ridiculous. The do not disturb sign was up, and the the security latch was engaged. What's the point of those signs and devices if they ignore the signs, and bypass the security measure? Also, after notifying the front desk of the issue we were told someone from management would be making contact, no one did. After a 2nd call, I was told "sorry that happened", nothing further was said and no effort was made to make amends. To avoid saying something incredibly rude, I disconnected. Only then did management call, and offer us a breakfast or lunch coupon, which was of no use on checkout day, so we did not accept it. I can only say that after spending hundreds to stay there, I'd much rather find a quaint hotel where customer satisfaction actually matters. Again, great facilities, horrible customer service.
We visited some friends who were staying at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. Considering the location, the atmosphere was very nice - meandering pathways, a man-made waterfall, koi in a pond that runs underneath the resort building (although you can't walk under there), a nice pool and a couple sitting areas with propane-based fire centerpieces. With that said, we didn't find the atmosphere so worthwhile that it made up for several other lacking areas whilst considering the four-star-resort-associated cost. From arrival, just after dark, parking was terrible; cars were circling the parking lot outside the lobby, and almost all spots (including guest room parking around back) were filled. They apparently had some kind of event going on that evening as well, which is awesome...but insufficient parking between event guests and those staying at the resort was pretty dinky for a four-star resort. Other downlights ~ they have center firepieces in their sitting area just outside the lobby. A very nice ambient addition to an otherwise chilly night. The propane tank ran out, and it literally took over an hour for them to get up and going again. The bar staff were rather unattentive; we had to hunt them down and let them know the group was ready to order another $150~ round of drinks. Overall, I'd say the atmosphere was a five of five, but the staff/cost/attentiveness was less-than a one-of-five, so - 2/5 * it is.
Not as nice as it used to be. We stay several times a year and recently had a bad experience due to the wild, loud and obnoxious group occupying the resort. Saturday the party started at 10am and was scheduled until 1:30am! We checked out early because the night before was very loud with fights breaking out and the air was filled with the smell of marijuana!
Rooms are of good quality, mostly. Some still require some updates and most need repairs. Room service is way too much for the quality of product. Only slightly over-rated
Beautiful view. Great public spaces in the hotel. Loved the displays of crystal. Adequate service and rooms. Left a little wanting in the patio area for food. Had an uninspiring salad...expected better.
