Great location in front of Gateway of India. Very strategic with shops, food in this location. My room was amazing with views to the Arabian sea and the Gateway! Room was very spacious on level 4!!! Don't worry about having to book tours, as once you walk outside the hotel, there are many guys selling city tours etc ( up to 10 pm I still seen them walking around). Most shops in that location close at 1 am!!

This is one of the best luxury hotels in the world, the posh and the facilities are remarkable, you cant deny the view of the coloneal structure of this beautiful place. And a bit expensive. Yhere are so many department stores also inside the hotel. Van hueton is one of them, if you are looking for an expensive luxurious hotel, you are in the right place, but you are looking for a budjet staying, its not right for you.also there is a dress code to enter the hotel, the balcony rooms are astonished with its morning and night view of the see infront of ghe hotel.

We had the most wonderful stay at The Taj Mahal Palace. We knew the story behind the hotel's construction & the incredible ethos of the Tata family. So we felt privileged to stay in such a magnificent hotel. But it was beyond our wildest dreams. The attention to detail is like nothing I've ever seen. The staff are so attentive, without being intrusive & attend to your every need before you even know you need it. One day I had left a novel on the desk in our room & we found house keeping had placed a hotel book mark on it when we returned from our sightseeing. Thank you Prashant for being so thoughtful.
We sent our shoes to the laundry for cleaning as we had been walking over farmland at our previous stop & they were quite muddy. We wouldn't normally ask to have them cleaned but quarantine laws in Australia would not allow them back in as they were. The laundry staff were so attentive & did such a beautiful job. I think the person's name was Sunesh. He was amazing.
We had high tea in the Sea View room which was very enjoyable. We spent time by the pool which is a very relaxing oasis.
The rooms are beautifully appointed having been recently refurbished. The bed was heavenly. The bathroom amenities were comprehensive with toothbrush, razor & comb included in addition to the usual toiletries.
The breakfast buffet was sumptuous with the attentative staff barely requiring you to leave your seat.
There's so much more I could say but don't wish to make this review excessively long. We would highly recommend anyone to experience this beautiful hotel which has a proud place in India's history.....

The hospitality is very good even in this pandemic situation of covid 19. The palace is short of staffs but still they are able to provide the 5 star services to you as much as they could.Before check in they sanitize all your luggage and hand bags.
My overall experience was amazing though we were not allowed to roam around but still the ambience was very good and cleanliness of rooms are top level.

An Oasis in a chaotic city. A splendid Hotel with lovely rooms, amazing service and excellent facilities. Friendly helpful staff. If you can, stay in the old building which is very grand, it has a great atmosphere. We opted for the Club rooms and enjoyed complimentary afternoon tea and evening cocktails, plus an included breakfast buffet.
Best place for holidays go there for pleasant holidays u feel so good over there. I Am also a privilege card holder of this hotel seriously this is a nice place to visit and i have enjoyed over there so many night stay over there at the last i must want to thank the staff for there services.

This hotel has its own aura.If you are visiting Mumbai you must .. must !! visit The taj... It looks so beautiful especially at night .. standing on the edge of the sea if you are rich enough you should stay atleast for one night here. Or otherwise you can atleast click good photos standing in front of it .Its one of the biggest tourist attraction especially after the attack and its also a symbol of bravery that it is still standing beautifully even after some tried to put harm to it . We came here after spreading my Grandfather's ashes and after we got speaking to the reception staff who upgraded us for free to the Palace. Every single person there was so kind.
At breakfast the next day someone noticed my Dad wasn't enjoying his breakfast that much, they came over and asked if he wanted something local, like a Dosa and then send off concierge to get us Mumbai's best.
There is a documentary, called Hotel India, if you're going to Mumbai or India, I highly recommend watching it. It explains the ridiculous level of service this place goes to where "nothing is impossible".
The pool is iconic and amazing and the staff are extremely knowledgeable, if you get a chance, do the tour!

One of the best 5 star-hotel in Mumbai. Food & tea is very tasty. But faster service is not provided by this hotel. They have to improve in their speed. Overall hotel is very nice & enjoyable.

If you want to feel royalty then there is no better place than Taj Mahal palace hotel in Mumbai. Delightful service and support staff who is always eager to help and go an extra mile. I recently stayed here for a night for a special occasion with family and the hotel made it extra special for us. Not to mention the excellent location overseeing the iconic Gateway of India. Only challenge was not having any window or balcony in the room which I guess is intentional for security reasons.
This is a beautiful hotel, the rooms are well sized, well equipped and beautifully maintained. The pool area can get a bit busy when the hotel is full, but is still a great place to relax and swim. As always the staff are universally excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. The fact that standards have not dropped when so many other luxury hotels are penny inching is a credit to everyone at the hotel and its management. I will be back yet again for sure

We had the most incredible stay at the Taj Mahal Palace, from the minute we stepped foot into the hotel we were treated like princesses. I came for a wedding with my best friend so we had a 3 day stay at the hotel. Everyday we would be greeted with little surprise gifts from Bindis when the housekeeping noticed our Sarees on the side, to chocolates, flowers, bath treatments etc. Can honestly say this was one of the very best hotels i have stayed at across the world. The service was excellent, the hotel beautiful, the pool amazing, location ....everything i cannot fault. We were also lucky enough to attend a wedding in the Crystal room. The barstaff remembered my drink order and would be ready with a drink as soon as i got to the bar. It really was out of this world amazing. Special mention to Amol who looked after our room everyday, lovely guy who has worked in the hotel for 14 years! I would definitely come again.

Luxurious as well as historical hotel, Recently celebrated his 115 year's, But not good for big event because of it's busy service entrance which was used by both Vendors as well as hotel staff at the same time and the main problem was they give priority to there work first one honestly suggestion if you want your vendor don't use hammer (that was making noise which was acceptable) inform prior to them
