We asked for financial assistant when my husband was still in the hospital and they said they'll have someone come talk to us about it. Few days go by and still never had anyone come talk to us about financial assistant. We were admitted out and still couldn't get any information on how or our wat to do with financial assistant. Get home and few days later we get many bills from this hospital. We went back up to the hospital and asked the steps to financial assistant and they told us we "denied" assistant help long time ago so now they can't do anything about it and cannot undo the decision. We kept arguing that we "did not" ever denied it and where was there proof but they couldn't show us anything. They gave us some phone numbers to call so it can be discounted or so what. This is the worst hospital we ever been to. Go to st John medical center on 21st and Utica instead! They will not give u excuses about financial assistant like osu does.

Called to scheduled a follow up, and was treated with the most disrespect I ve ever received from a hospital. Definitely not the place to go, if you want to be treated like a paying patient. They even HUNG UP in my face. So disrespectful!
Disgrace! Went in feeling like I was going to choke to death and excruciating pain in my stomach. Was told I just needed to wait until next Dr appt. I will probably be dead by then. They didn t care AT ALL that I literally feel like I am dying. Told me there was nothing they could do. They will have my funeral bill on their hands. Sorry excuse for medical care!!!!!
No compassion. Rude and disrespectful I have never experienced such a lack of empathy in my life. Didn t seem to have the knowledge to complete simple tasks -no sense of urgency.
This is only getting one star because I had to give a rating to leave a review..otherwise it would be nothing. My husband is in the hospital at this location because our local hospital sent him there. My husband has made it very clear that he is in no way interested in being in any hospital at all and most definitely not sedated into a coma and put on life support. Yet still this is what they do here in Durant .It has been made clear to hospital staff,EMS,his doctor, his councilor, his friends and myself (his wife).I also have relayed this to all including the nurses of the icu where he is now.Im extremely concerned for him and even more upset with the majority of the nursing staff here.To be perfectly honest I am about ready to show up outside this hospital with a media crew.Of the 3yrs. I've been going through this with my husband there has only been 2 hospitals that seem to deem it fit to hold patients against their will.Durant almost overdosed him trying to keep him quiet and in the hospital. Now we're at this one and he has been awake.(no longer sedated)seizures was stopped and he wanted to leave the hospital. Now mind you...i am more than willing to pick my husband up and care for him at home.Always have..so it's not like they'd be sending him into the street. Now the last I was able to speak with anyone in the icu unit he is in was last evening. I was asking questions about my husband and was told that he has now been strapped to the bed because he was being combative...of course he is.he wants to go home from a place he never wanted to be in the first place and is being held against his will. His life,His choice. Not theirs. And then I'm told they can't tell me much more because it's over the phone.REALLY...they tell me my husband is basically screaming to go home,he's strapped to a bed after waking up from life support he was on for more than a week because he has seizures. Also told that now he has pneumonia. Which he did not have before he went.Im not allowed to come into the hospital. We live 4 hours away.So tell me how that works. To me and a few other people I've spoke with about this..it looks very suspicious. I have tried to call them twice this morning to see how he is doing. If he is ok.I have been put on hold waiting for his nurse to get on the line to inform me..nobody did.Neither time..not even to ask me to call back in such n such time.NOTHING...I was on hold for a total of 52 minutes with no response from icu at all. They best hope he is released from there to me today or I will have my husband's lawyer on the phone and a news crew in front of the hospital before the day is out.And as soon as I'm done here I'm also leaving a similar review on the parent hospitals web site. This place needs to be looked into. Its not right or humane to hold people again their will and tie them down like rabid animals when the only reason they are being "combative" is because they want to leave and you won't let them......Here I am again..lawyer says to let things play out because the longer they keep him past the day he wanted to leave the worse it is on them. I'm not sure that I agree. That means my husband gets held somewhere he doesn't want to be.I don't care about money.I care about my husband feeling like he's a prisoner in a hospital he doesn't want to be in.Places like this need to be taught a lesson. I'm very confused at this point. They should've just had me pick him up and this wouldn't even be an issue right now.
My daughter delivered her daughter here. Honestly, I was prepared to deal with at least one difficult situation during her stay, but we had none. Literally every single person we interacted with was just wonderful. I would highly recommend for labor and delivery. I can t imagine how any other experience could be better than ours.
My name is Manuel Rebelo. My son had surgery today. I could not ask for better staff. More than just healthcare, today was about compassion, being human, and making feel a patient like being home. I respect all the comments, but honestly, I do not understand, after what I saw today, how some people can give a low rating. I definitely recommend this hospital. It's not just about business, it's about being human. Thank you to the amazing OSU staff that took care of my son today. I hope I don't need hospital services so soon. But if I need, I know where to go. Thank you.
I went to this ER an hour away from my home because I had surgery at this hospital. I was taken back to a room and taken care of almost immediately. I have had several surgeries and spent sometime in the hospital. I have always received the best care. I will not hesitate to travel an hour to be seen.
The nursing staff for the most part did nothing to help make my mother comfortable. No team was on the same page as far as caring for the patient. The only time they went out of the way to do things for her like brush her teeth or take her dentures out, or help feed her is was when I threw a fit to get it done. They do the minimum and that is it. Excluding one nurse tech named Raya who did everything in her power to help make her comfortable. I am very unhappy with my mother's vare while she was here for a week. This is very unfortunate for someone in the last stage of her life.
