Nice trendy hotel in a great location. The room is spacious, with an ENORMOUS bath tub. A shame there was no way to close it properly so the water wouldn't escape. Beautiful views and friendly staff. It also has a beer garden, a bar at the top of the hotel, and a rooftop nightclub, as well as a restaurant at the bottom. Worth a try!

Currently writing this review from my hotel room at the standard after realising I just took a bath which was not clean and full of someone else s dead skin!. Arriving here is exciting, the hotel is designed in a quirky artistic way, fabulous bar to have a drink at. Whoever did the branding of this hotel did a great job but they have you fooled right until the very moment you open the door to your cruise ship sized room. The rooms are dark and extremely small for New York size, we are also not staying in the smallest room we are in a Deluxe King nothing deluxe about it. The bed is literally on the floor . I could not warn you more. Do not bother staying here, I regret this decision so much it s a literal nightmare !

Really nice room with a view, and the room service is also top notch. Very conveniently located in Downtown Manhattan with everything within walking distance. Nearest subway is 2 blocks away. Really nice restaurant and cafes around as well.

Room was well equipped, silent , quiet AC good bed. Location is great. The bar / restaurant is pretending to be fancier than it is but I guess that's a NY thing. Location, bed quality and silence are what matters to me and all of those are good.

Nice place once we managed to actually get in the right part. Encountered some very rude staff however, and it was extremely unclear where to enter to get to the 'top of the standard' where we had a table booked. Rooftop closed at 9pm and reopened as a club at 10pm so although we arrived before 9 we did not get to go up there which was a shame. We were told many conflicting things about opening/closing times, despite having a reservation and nobody wanted to help us. View is great and we had nice drinks - approx $20-26 ish a cocktail. The bar is beautiful and feels like you are on a ship, really nice.

Very nice view from the room and impressive rooftop but the rooms are pretty simple, the wifi is terrible and you can hear traffic pretty loud. Not what you would expect for this price.

Visited the Biergarten. Got basically attacked as soon as we stepped in for our IDs. No need to bark at us, we will gladly oblige. Got our beer, the bartender seemed like she was on drugs. Had to repeat which two beers we wanted about 4 times. Decided to stand on the end of the curling aisles to watch some people play. Stood in a narrow section at first, and got bumped into by the server multiple times without so much as an apology. We get it, we're standing in a tight spot but at least throw out a sorry if you knock my bag off my shoulder. At one point there must have been a brawl, because we heard large amounts of glass break, saw somebody get thrown out, and said server ran past us to attend to it. A girl stood on the table to see what was going on. Will probably not be going back. Weird crowd, and rude employees.

You can spend 16 to 20 a mixed drink in a dimly lit pseudo hip remix of an Irish pub, or 18 to 26 on the roof of all down town. Choose your own adventure friends. Just remember that the Jazz Lounge and the Club will have separate entrances if you do not spend at a level to walk across a door in the hallway upstairs. I like to believe the Standard over the years wishes to meet the artist and the ultra rich half way. I have come to lean towards dressing like the ultra rich leads one to think you're really a plumber in 2020, so roll the night life dice.

You don't get much cooler thank The Standard - great restaurants, beautiful rooms, a biergarten and one of the hardest nightclubs to get into - plus you get to ride in the infamous JayZ/Beyonce/Solange "billion dollars" elevator.

The High Line is a beautiful hotel, designed by Roman and Williams, which delivers an elegant, comfy and fun stay. Do yourself a favor and walk along the high line trail with your morning coffee too!

They have some great seafood selections and a really high quality oyster happy hour. Obviously the place is fancy and trendy and I was fairly surprised that the prices weren't higher considering the location right by the Whitney and the High Line. That being said the staff are kind of snooty and while everything i got (oysters, brussel sprouts, trout, fries) was good, nothing was amazing. The chocolate chip cookies and milk is an awesome dessert because they come out perfectly warm but i tasted again after they had fully cooled and was like "meh."

The hotel is located in the center of the city. The rooms are big and very clean. They have really good views. But if you want to have better view go on the roof top. The staff is amazing and really friendly. The price for the service is great. They will make you feel home.

Service was THE WORST. My husband and I have stayed there about 4-5 times already. But this time, when we arrived, we noticed that the construction was covering all the restaurants and bars area, making it simply unusable... AND the rooftop bar was closed. I understand that they have no control over construction, but the very least they could do is to tell you about it when you book directly with the hotel. Same for the closed bar (which is a big part why we used to like this hotel). On top of everything, they were doing maintenance on the windows, so we were asked to keep our curtains closed to avoid having someone peeking in your room. Seriously? So no restaurants, patios, rooftop bar and no view... what s the point?!? And as a special surprise, the phone started beeping at 4 in the morning for 3 hours straight, just because it was broken. So no sleep either... And what did we get when we tried to talk to someone about our experience? A very shy sorry . I don t consider myself as being complicated or demanding, but I ve never been treated that way anywhere. I will definitely not be recommending this hotel to business relations and friends anymore.

Overpriced, incompetent and arrogant staff. Despite having asked for a quiet room, we were given a room beneath the club / bar which played loud music until 2am. We changed the room in the middle of the night.
Terribly arrogant staff in the skyline bar. They all seem like they want to be models but only ended up waitressing so they are frustrated and cold whilst expecting amazing tips.
Not to be recommended .... a hipster hotel with the prices of a kempinsky but the service of a hostel.

We enjoyed the bar on the 18th floor during our city trip! The view is terrific anyway, the service at reception very friendly and that continued at the bar. First we enjoyed the view from the roof top with a cocktail and then the food in the bar. The quality of the dishes was very good, the service was again very good, friendly and very helpful!
We would love to come back!

While the lobby makes me feel as if I need to pull out my hippest digs just to walk to the elevator, the hotel is great. Great service, nice rooms, perfect location - can be noisy unless you request a room away from the more social parts of the hotel.

Can't go home due to typhoon

Can't go home due to typhoon
We looked for hotel suddenly and stayed by reservation on the day.
On that day, there was an event at a store next to the lobby
There was a DJ booth and it was quite lively.
A stylish space where everything appears in the movie
Amenities are the best davines!
I should have stayed here from the beginning
Great satisfaction in a nice space
Just one
Some rooms do not have a bathroom, so there are children
You may want to be confirmed at the time of booking.
There are some Japanese people on the staff so it's safe when you need help.

Beautiful ambience and lovely rooms with eccentric shower accommodations. I have one very key complaint about a very rude and confrontational homosexual who works for concierge. I had a group of guests visiting me and I was unable to have them come up due to the eccentric bathing style. My guest kindly asked the white effeminate homosexual to call up to my room and he outright disrespected my guest. He was very rude and confrontational to her continuing to harass her near the elevator and threatening her. I will not be wasting my money on this establishment again. And those showers... can we get some curtains for the love of God!?
