What a hotel, this place rocks!

What a hotel, this place rocks!

A bit naughty but it s really a amazing place!

We got a free upgrade to a deluxe king which gives you a amazing view on the Hudson River!

Waking up and looking at the Hudson River, New Jersey and the Freedom Tower.

The room itself is very quiet and super comfortable beds.

Thanks team of The Standard for making our anniversary so special with the champagne on the room (a gift from the hotel) and your nice card!

We definitely come back and I can highly recommend this hotel!

A big thank you for giving us a special weekend!

It's a beautiful hotel with amazing views of the Hudson and lower Manhattan. For me, the best part of the hotel is the bar and restaurant at the top of the hotel. There is an awesome circular bar and the bartenders are top notch. The food is good although not amazing and definitely not cheap. It's a great spot to have a drink, listen to some live jazz and look out on the city.

The hotel has a great pool and the The Smith Restaurant downstairs serves a good brunch. The hotel also stradles the High Line park, which is one of the city's best open spaces.

Hands down the BEST hotel I've ever stayed in. Superbly located in the meat packing district, you're at the start of the (amazing) High Line and minutes from loads of cool cafes, restaurants, shops and bars.

The service from the minute we arrived to the minute we checked out was exemplary, our room had stunning views and the food and drink options are amazing.

We ate in the hotel, at the grill and also had cocktails in all of the bars which were the best.

Really cannot recommend this place highly enough - we will definitely be back.

Rooms are tiny. Great views. The meatpacking district seems to be undergoing a transformation and not for the better. All the cool chic stores are GONE! it's becoming a mall of mediocrity. I mean Like Adidas, some bad Italian design shop, the only shop I like is Scoop nearby. Helmut Lang is gone, Serge Normant the high end hair style shop is gone, Moschino is gone, Alexander McQueen is gone, Stella McCartney is gone, there is nothing but a mall going in here and I stay where I shop. I thought New York was New York not St. Louis. I will be staying at the Mercer or the Mark hotel from now on as the meatpacking district is a disaster.

Beautiful views of the City, John the concierge has been an amazing source to ensure reservations. I choose the Standard as a great place to meet my clients for drinks and or dinner. However, today's hostess Therese was incredible rude to my clients which was quite embarrassing. They enjoyed the view but felt uncomfortable by the poor service. Hope this gets fixed soon

Great views from the rooms and especially the rooftop bar. Funky, open, modern room layout. Get a room with a tub. Right on top of the highline and in the center of meatpacking. Very hip fun area with great bars, restaurants, and clubs nearby.

AVOID AVOID My wife slipped in the lobby due to a leak in the roof and a dimly lit hallway. She really hurt herself, we told the front desk and absolutely nothing was done, no apology, no follow up. Staff couldn t care less. Hotel sucks, staff sucks, thank you next.

One of my favorite hotels in New York, the rooms are great and have a unique voyeuristic layout, the architects have given some interesting interviews about the design if you're interested in hearing the reasoning behind the design. Very close to some of the most fun parts of the city.

The room was very nice. Feels very large even though I would guess it's relatively small on a sq ft basis. Love the little touches around the room (copy of 1984, prompt to call your representative, etc.). Lots of light in the morning which helps you wake up (there are curtains).

If you'd like your stuff stolen, leave it at reception here. After a week stay, I left a box with a brand new phone for my colleague who was staying there too, when he got to reception here received an emotional box. Security staff refused to share the CCTV footage or show it to us. Never again.

Great location, very cool design and comfortable rooms, but a little tough around a few edges (e.g. odd toilet paper rolls, flat shower floor leading to water leaking across the bathroom). Overall a great place to stay though.

Great location, lacks everything else. Rooms are ok, nothing special and definitely not worth what you pay for them. Looks like an extremely cheap motel walking down the hallways, and smells like moth balls. The lobby is nice, but again nothing special. Outside area and ice rink are a great touch and prob the pellbest part of the hotel. The staff is by far the worst for a hotel of this standard (pun intended). The only people deserving of a conversation in this place is the bellmen; everyone else makes you feel like they are doing you a favor letting you stay here. I have been all over and to NYC over a dozen times, I can honestly say this is the worst hotel I have stayed at in the city, and one of the worst I've stayed at anywhere. The Standard is definitely (much) less than the standard.

If I could I would definitely give no stars at all. So much disappointment. This is my second time here and I feel ashamed getting a room for my friends here and that too for bachelorette party. It was my friend s freakin big day. The main reason to get the room was for easy access to the rooftop bar Le Bain but we were not able to get in after standing out in cold for freakin half an hour coz we needed reservations.
I am no hater. Have never given one star to any places I have been. But I had to for this. I even talked with the manager and she was giving 1000 excuses in which some of them were just BS. Never ever recommending anybody and I am definitely not going back. I really feel guilty for my friends coz we ended up going to other club. Not posting any pictures either.

I've had a few experiences here, and the staff can be really hit or miss. The people at reception are usually nice, but on the phones, and at the door you usually get a lot of attitude you don't need.
The open concept bathroom/shower is great, and you can't beat the views downtown.
I wish the TV's weren't quite so prominent, that's the only thing.

The Hoyle has about 5 bars all with a different theme. Their is a lounge, a fancier lounge, a biergarten, a dance club and another. We went to the lounge. It was nice and quiet, and very comfortable. Great place to sit if you want to enjoy a conversation while having drinks.

Rooms are beautiful, quiet and will appointed. Great food and drinks right under your feet while you are at this hotel. If you are going to share a room with a friend prepare to get a little intimate. The showers in some rooms have a clear glass window into the room. Nice little display. The hotel does offer a curtain but also know it is open in the other side into the bathroom cutout. Toilet at least had a door for privacy. The tub is huge and the shower is great so not too bad. Easy to get to by subway with a little walking and plenty of taxis. You wouldn't regret starting here.

It's been 7 weeks since I checked out and I don't have my US 500 deposit back yet, despite them saying it was approved within three days of check out. Additionally, I was told by reception that it was only an imprint taken, and yet the money was taken out, which made juggling money a bit tricky. I have tried numerous time to contact them with no reply. I am about to take legal action. Try a hotel that won't rob you....

My favorite hotel in NYC! Had one of the most beautiful rooms with a panoramic view of the whole city! The restaurant is also one of my favs and definitely a go to whenever we're in the city!

My girlfriend and I booked a "staycation" at this hotel. We're both in the architectural field and this hotel is incredibly unique in its design. It straddles the now famous High Line park, all rooms overlook the high line and have an outstanding view no matter where your room is. We will be coming back!!!

Most incredible, friendly, helpful staff I've ever experienced. And the hotel itself is so awesome. Amazing decor, every turn offers something different. And most of all, the rock patio downstairs offers fantastically strong coffee to help one survive the city that never sleeps.

Incredible experience. Wow. Talk about service. And a great location right on the high line. The elevator was a work of art. It creeped me out, but it was a work of art, and we loved it. The shower knob was a bit hard to turn but otherwise no complaints. We had a great breakfast here, too. (Bagel with smoked salmon)

I had drinks at The Standard's cocktail bar with some coworkers. The beer selection was anemic, which isn't a surprise. The service itself was pretty terrible. The waiter basically mumbled the list, even when asked to repeat it, and was fairly insulting to us. "Pork slap is a euphemism. Do you know what a euphemism is?". The waiter also managed to forget one of the drink orders, and had to ask again. If the bar had been super full, thus might have been excusable. When we went though, it was fairly empty. Overall, a very "new money" bar where you pay for the idea of class rather than the real thing.
