Paid 400 dollars for a room but that doesn t mean you can go to the roof top bar. Must have many girls. They turned away me and my girlfriend because she was black
Can't believe a hotel like this would secretly charge USD2.00 'donation' without mentioning it to the customer. This is incredible.
What a joke.
No matter how much money you have they will not let you in if you are two guys with a hot girl.
After getting in....not worth it.
Rooms are modern and clean. Service friendly and polite.
The rooftop bar has an amazing view!!! Staff was professional and courteous.
Stayed here for an interview. Hands down the coolest hotel I've ever stayed at. Got to stay in the corner room overlooking the Hudson bay and the downtown skyline. The most breathtaking view. Also the best neighborhood to walk around in.
Good comfortable hotel. Clean rooms. Good restaurant. Good location, close to the waterfront.
For New York City standards, room size is good. Overall decor is good. Opposite new building has obstructed city view.
Great rooms, modern, turning off the water in the shower was suprisingly hard, so bring some elbow grease.
Great hotel in a great location. No pool the only reason not 5*.
A service that grew a little too much for consumption but the setting was very friendly and the cocktails really good. Add to that the opportunity to buy Nutella pancakes on the spot and you get The Bath. A hint however do not bathe in the water it is not particularly clean.
Comfortable room, fantastic views.
Mini-bar has a decent selection of snacks and drinks.
The Standard is in a great location by Chelsea.
The staff was super helpful.
Great big bath tubs with superb views over the New York skyline.
Great location. Top of The Standard bar has outrageous views, go for sundown and stay as the lights come on. Gym also great views but equipment a bit tired. Service can be a bit rude. Rooms are small but expect that in NY, floor to ceiling windows the signature
They didn't give the unlimited drink deal, which was the main reason we came in the first place.
Excellent location, very modern rooms, and great service. The elevator in this hotel is the coolest elevator in the world.
Stayed here for a night. Wish I could've spent a few more nights here! Clean rooms with modern design and the views are amazing! Such a seamless, relaxing stay. the staff was knowledgeable of the area and always willing to help guests with any questions or concerns. Will definitely go back.
I went to the Biergarten at the Standard Hotel. This place has a really cool concept. I like their buy 4 get one free ticket option. Aside from a dope layout the staff were friendly and engaging. Naina was my bartender and she was not only quick and knowledgeable about drinks but was nice enough to give me recommendations for my visit in NY for food, hangout spots and even places for me to get work done. I ll be back next visit for sure from this experience.
Great place with cool, young New York vibe to it. Staff could be a little nicer, but overall a fun experience.
Great place to go. Excellent service and wonderful area to walk around on a nice day
Great rooms and attentive service. It's a swanky, sexy vibe that you'd expect from a hotel in the Meatpacking District. The wifi speed was very poor, though
Fancy Hotel near the Chelsea Market! Worths to know but won't come again.
Small room. Not liking the shower sharing the same floor as the rest of the very small bathroom. No coffee maker in the room.
Loved the view from our room! Clean and modern rooms!
Great place to take a break NYC life. Beautiful plants, flowers and trees. Also cool restaurants along the way.
One of the best hotel I've ever seen and my favourite when I visit NYC. Bar on the top has a breathtaking view of the New York Skyline
We had cocktails at the bar of The Standard downstairs before partying on the rooftop at Le Bain. We got a nice table outside. The lights, the sand, the sculpture, the music... it was a great setting to relax and enjoy a good cocktail.
The service was really good. Friendly, helpful and professional, as you can expect of a fancy hotel bar. They really make you feel that you're on a holiday.
Prices are quite high, but hey: you're having cocktails at The Standard, right.
The mattress is uncomfortable and u pay more than it s worthy. Just visit for brunch and ull get the experience. The lobster roll is awesome
Worst service can't go to the rooftop bar as a guest security extremely rude...I would not stay here ever again..
The hotel was great! The staff were extemely friendly, polite and accommodating!!! It was my hubby's birthday and the concierge (Colleen, was an absolute gem ) helped me set up the room with balloons, cake, bubbly!! Everything was perfect! Just as if pictured it!! They even gave us a room upgrade for the the celebration!! The area is really nice too. The High line goes through it! Unfortunately we were only there for one night so we didn't get to enjoy the hotel properly, the roof top, beer garden! Would highly recommend if you're looking to stay some where hip and funky!!
Great rooftop to get some drinks and the biergarden is also awesome!! Not to miss
We loved this hotel but it's definitely not for everyone! The grill serves excellent food. the biergarten has an excellent atmosphere - try the pretzel, too! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great views across the river from the room.
Very tasty menu, we had the burger and tuna salad and both were great. Service was helpful and friendly. Would recommend for food and/or drinks.
Great spot to hang out at during the summer. Highly recommend it while the sun is out.
Beautiful view of New York from the rooftop. Top floor and was very hard to get into but as a hotel guest if you go in before 9 then you can stay once it becomes harder to get into. Fantastic drinks and nice service.
I was only in the beer garden for drinks but loved it. Great drinks, friendly staff and a fun atmosphere.
Always stay here when in town for work. Lush, modern design. Almost too hip for me (but not quite).
Quiet night, but great views from the bar can't be beat.
We are locals and took a group of 8 friends including out of town guests to rooftop for drinks on Monday night. We were kicked off 2 chairs we moved to be together. The manager Nicole was incredibly rude to us and the place was half empty. We frequent many places locally and were stunned. The empty chairs may be happy back where they "belong" but my group is not. The bartenders were very considerate. Nicole needs a new line of work and upper management should take note of so many negative reviews!
I wouldn t recommend this place at all. Yes the view is nice. But the service and the overall feel of this place for the money that you pay is shocking.
The bar upstairs is beautiful and the staff are lovely indeed, but that is a different review and would give it 5 Stars.
We ran out of soap, there was no hot water on one of the days, the shower was pathetic with no pressure. Yes the view was nice out the room down the river, but you also have the people on the highline looking right into your room.
Overall would not go back here and we were here for 7 nights. Still here on our 6th night and I had to review now. Also if you like weed, then stay here, because your room will smell like weed at least once during your stay.
Tiny outdated rooms with beds on floor. Disappointing
We recently stayed here due to a business meeting in the meatpacking district. The room was tiny for a queen size room and you could hear the club music thump thump thump thumping all night long. I couldn't sleep. Nice bathroom. Clean towels. I wouldn't necessarily go back unless I could not hear the awful club music from bridge and tunnel new jersey people whooping it up all night. It's crazy.
pretty good experience, nontrivial design. Transparent shower is kinda strange solution, in room light control is not perfect. The location is super great.
Rooftop bar is something to see, if not very tragically hip.
Awful service and completely unprofessional. Many problems with this hotel.
1. Took my credit card without notifying me that they will do a block on my credit card. A block is normal during checkin procedure but since my accomodation was pre paid, it was not necessary to do such a high blockage. I complained and they said the blockage will be released in 5 days. Its 12 working days after my checkout. Still blocked. Called them upon this issue, felt like i was talking to a zombie, no emotion or sympathy or urgency to sort this matter.
2. Staff said they will get back to me, they didn't. Nothing worse than saying that you will do something and not doing it.
3. Can't distinguish between staff and guest. Trying to be trendy and hip but just seems unprofessional.
4. One night I went to reception to settle my laundry bill. Was asked if I wanted to settle with cash or credit. Seeing it was a small bill, I settled by cash. Then I realised he only showed me the bill for one of my laundry (I used laundry service twice). Now I have to pay again and waste more time and since it is now double of what I thought it was, I would have settled by credit card. Once again, no apologies or anything. Unprofessional and utterly disgusting.
We LOVED this hotel. Stunning room with a gorgeous view. Relaxing huge bath and separate shower and toilet the dreaaaam! The hotel has a cool vibe and a club upstairs if you re into it. The neighborhood is super hip and the hotel is right over the high line. Can t beat it!
Don't take breakfast. It's $40+tax per night and only gets you a $40 credit for breakfast...
Nice hotel. I worked in the Highline room which has great views. I haven't stayed here so I can't speak about the prices and the rooms, but the location is great.
The area is bustling and loud, but the rooms are trendy and nice.
Nice atmosphere and people watching, way over priced for what you get
Went to the standard for a bday and their staff handled it exceptionally well great staff
Excellent place Le Bain is the place to be. Respect the doorman and bartenders and they will take care of you.
I think I had the best steak of my life.
We've ordered 2 T Bones and 1 Ribeye for 7 and having had some starters, it was more than enough to make us very happy!
I'll certainly recommend this place to a lot of people.
Book ahead!
Fantastic experience at The Standard. Loved the feel and the ambiance! Will definitely stay there again.
Could not get into rooftop bars due to private parties ground floor has a beer garden which was nice.
Love this place. Walking, site seeing, people watching, art gazing. Love It All!!
