Can't beat The Standard for something at once hip/modern and comfortable. Sure, the common areas are a bit of a party, and it can be expensive, but, it's New York.

Great posh hotel in Chelsea. The bar upstairs is incredible and has been featured in a number of movies. Fitness Center has a view to die for! The rooms are very light, bright and modern. Try the steak tartare from room service with a glass of wine and stare out your floor-to-ceiling window. It's right above the High Line so it's a great spot for walking.
People at the door are rude and they decide if they let you in
I little bit too young and fake-fancy but hey, it's a rooftop bar with good drinks - am I really going to complain?
End of the day, this place is worth the hype and wait. The biergarten and le bain are a lot of fun. I have never stayed here, so I can't really comment
Great beer garden, fantastic staff. Can get very busy!
The views are incredible if you arrive after 4pm to check out the rooftop bar - a must try!
Room was nice, but loud. Had issues with the TV working
They cancelled my reservation without telling me when I paid for an additional night to check in at 6am. No apologies. Worst service. I hate this place.
Absolutely love the beer garden at the Standard Hotel. You can either sit at the communal tables or grab one of the round tables around the perimeter if you want to have the table to yourself. You get tickets (or coins) if you want to get one of the 4 delicious beers on tap or a huge pretzel. Also, they have a real bar on the other side of the room, which I didn't notice the first 4 times I was at this bar. So if you are not into beer, you can still get whatever drink you want at this beer garden.
Very popular hotel amongst party people: it's always Saturday at the Standard. Like the view, like the earplugs to sleep through the livelihood on the hallway. Big dislike on the bouncer on the rooftop who acts like a total hostile aggressor not hospitable at all.
Nice rooms, great location on the High Line. Good restaurants and bars nearby.
Best place to enjoy a friday/saturday/sunday afternoon/evening/night during the summer/fall/winter/spring. The atmosphere is relaxed, the eurotrash moved to other clubs, so the cool people stayed ( on friday and saturday it can be a little douchy) but great sets by famous DJs. and jacuzzi on the dancefloor. Yes I wrote jacuzzi all is said.
Very convenient and comfortable. All the amenities you could ever want, right in your room.... Except coffee. You have to leave your room in the morning to seek out coffee.
Atmosphere was nice, staff attentive and polite. The food was phenomenal, we had the tuna, chicken salad, and salmon. Special attention to the crispy brussel sprouts and cauliflower, highly recommended.
You can have your drinks in a pool at the roof with a nice view of NYC. Don't forget to make a reservation for dinner.
Holiday party with my coworkers. Definitely would go there again if I had the chance.
Nice bar on top floor with an amazing view of NYC. Great bar with mixologists. Not your typical Watering hole.
Really nice rooftop lounge. Views are great. Drinks are expensive, but you pay for the atmosphere.
Very nice, lots of views of the city all for free, good spot for lunch but gets a little crowded. Excellent place to take a stroll with your date
The floor to ceiling window views of the high floor rooms is lovely. I enjoyed seeing it all day then lit up at night. It included a rain shower plus a sexy tub & mirrors. The mini bar also had a nice collection.
The elevator was very weird & dark though! Weird music & funhouse images on screens without much light. Felt like a clown horror movie. Staying here was a cool experience overall but for $1k the elevators are very uncomfortable.
Amazing views! Nice atmosphere, DJ, good drinks, perfect venue for a sunny afternoon. There's a crow bar too, in case you get hungry.
The roof top bar opens at 4pm, and is accessible provided you are at least 21 years old.
Le Bain is one of the best rooftop lounges in New York
The rooms are nice with tons of natural light. The bed is very low to the floor so it would be hard for an older person or someone with bad knees to get in and out. Bathrooms are small but functional. Not a big fan of the glass wall in the shower, keep the blinds closed or everyone will see you soaping up. Nice selection of restaurants, good location, close to the action in the district. TV signal was choppy the whole time.
Views!!
Finally a new hotel with panoramic views in Manhattan!
Views from the hotel bed. Views from the bathtub...
views from the toilets in the bar...
Love this hotel so much I bought a robe.
The room was beautiful but they failed to mention the open shower plan which is great for couples. But not friends which was fine with the shower curtain provided on request. Overall a great place awesome location on the highline.
Architecture of Le Corbusier recognizable among all ... We love or we do not like.
Went to the beergarden on a rainy day to warm up, good beer and great ambiance
Visited one of the high floor corner suites where some friends were staying. What an amazing view of the Hudson. Had drinks and snacks downstairs afterwards. An altogether great weekend afternoon.
Half the items on the menu weren't available, what was available didn't taste good.
Service was lacking- my cocktail got delivered to another table and the waiter gave us dessert menus before our food had even arrived. That said, it's a good location with classic and delicious food. I'd recommend the trout.
A staple landmark; I especially enjoy the characters.
A trendy spot along the High Line in Chelsea. The rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent. There is an ice skating rink in front and a Biergarten next door.
Very modern, room is small but with a well designed layout so it's very comfortable. Appreciate the 3 mirrors (2 full length) and large shower tub in the bathroom.
Great bars and restaurants downstairs and around- have to visit Chelsea market and Starbucks Reserve nearby.
Do not miss the rooftop. Fantastic place for a chill night or a date night.
Hotel room was noisy from hotel's club noise. Limited amenities.
Beautiful view! Quite crouded: make sure you wait in line before opening to get the best lounges
Came here for the FIfA World Cup Final s. What energy and vibe. Loved it. We saw the game at the beer garden.
A super trendy place. The hotel itself has some really cool amenities and special features. However the room.are not very spacious, but the floor to ceiling window makes this place memorable. Fall asleep in the middle of the sky of new York makes this experience unforgettable.
Being at the beginning of the highline makes also this place special...a walk is mandatory.
Trendy urban hotel, excellent service, food and cleanliness.
At the heart of the vibrant Greenwich village
A dismal stay end to end. We arrived at 3pm for checkin to be asked to wait as the room they assigned to us wasn t ready. We had to wait until 5pm and there was no offer of a late check out as a consolation. Do be aware that the sound proofing isn t great so you will want to stay below floor ten to avoid hearing the nightclub.
The prioritise the nightclub over the weekend, reducing the lifts available for hotel guests to two. One lift was offline for hotel deliveries which caused long waits.
They mistakenly took extra security deposit holds from our cards, and were not helpful in getting the funds released.
The bathtub in the room had (what we think was) skin flakes in it. It was a vile sight.
Rooms are highly dated and in need of a revamp. It s a walk in shower which means the water isn t contained so the bathroom floor is always wet.
Fabulous views, great music, a rooftop, and a room with a pool...Lebain is always a good spot to stop.
Fun rooftop not for dancing but a fancy cocktail and a great view.
Located right above High Line, this hotel has small but clean rooms with comfortable bed, oversized tub, and distinctive decor.
Awesome venue for families and great scenery in the lower west end...
Way too trendy for middle aged overweight folks from out of town, but welcoming all the same and with a group of NYC kids it was a blast. Huge punch bowls, decent food, outside tables, good service. Would have been easy to blow it off as too cool, but it was great.
Great outdoors seating. If you are a vegetarian, not much of selection.
Wonderfully appointed mid-century modern rooms, awesome bar and restaurant. The views are killer and you're right next to the Highline and the Whitney museum. I was able to check in early too.
My go to Brunch spot for me and my girls! i always get the eggs and avocado toast! the surroundings are BEAUTIFUL.. and the BATHROOM is my favorite part! Always makes me think of Sex and the City episodes!!! LOL Girls to the left, dudes to the right! Dont get scared, youre in the right place!
Still one of my favorite NYC Hotels . Great restaurants also for breakfast . Great area with lots to do and great architecture .
Great place in the city for casual walk and nice views of sunset.
The hotel room was very clean and everyone was very helpful especially Ana and Keebo.
